Grimm hated birds. Tey were disgusting, and filthy, and defecated in midair. He could think of very few things more grotesque than that. Still, they intrigued him. Not insect, nor fish, nor even a mammal, the hollow boned creatures kept his attention. They had jerky movements, and suspicious, blank gazes that he seemed to think held secrets. Grimm wanted to know. He needed to know just what it was about birds that irked him.

He looked up, thinking about how to approach this feat. He thought, perhaps, that he should capture one, take it down to the science labs that the students weren't allowed ot use, to unsure his privacy or course, and to perform several tests and experiments to discover what he wanted to know. If all else failed, he'd do a live dissection.

Alas, the fowl were difficult creatures to get ahold of.

Curiously, Addison walked up to the roof of the school and couldn't help but notice that there was a Dome with tons of birds kept inside of it. Having never stepped on the roof before, such a sight led Addison to be awestruck. He approached the Fowl Haven and entered. He noticed a thin boy observing the birds. He was thin and looked a bit fragile. Addison's outgoing and friendly nature led him to conversation with him.

"Hey there!" Addison said happily, wondering what the boy found so interesting about these disease bearing birds.

I was so far out of place
Watching those stars in outer space
'Cause I am so far from where you are
There's a light show out my window somewhere way up there
Dear Vienna, are you singing? Dear Vienna, are you swinging?
Dear Vienna, we were happy like the shades of May when we got carried away

Grimm turned around, slightly surprised at having been caught in the aviary. His surprise was quickly covered by a tinge of annoyance.

"Boy, do you know how to catch birds?" he asked, looking back up at the fluttering, feathered covered beasts.

"It is important that I have one."

Addison smiled and cocked his head to the side at the boy's request. He was different... and Addison found it quite witty. With a quick chuckle, Addison smiled and said simply, "Yea..."

A pigeon was perched on a branch high in the Aviary just looking down at Grimm. Addison quickly enveloped the pigeons feet into the branch bark. Then, the bird tried flutterring away but found itself stuck in the branch. Addison continued to used his ingers to guide vines around the pigeons body, completely rendering the bird immobile. Snapping the branch, Addison levitated it down to Grimm.

"All yours." Addison said with a smile. "What do you want with a dirty fowl, anyways?" He wondered.

Grimm lowered his head ever so slightly, putting his white eyes in shadow.

"I must experiment," he said, slowly and seriously. The bird in his grasp squirmed and cooed. He disliked the feeling of it, the frail bones in his hands, easily crushable... It was a powerful feeling, but not by much. The bird only had a small life, and it was dissatisfying. He craved the ability to hold larger lives in his hands. But he was currently busy, determined to discover this nasty creatures' secrets.

The bird pecked his hand and scratched him, and although he didn't cry out in pain, he still let it go. The pigeon flew back up onto it's branch. Several small trickles of a dark, dark red blood triled from his injured hand and he scowled.

Addison watched with curious eyes as well. He was not enticed by the bird but rather by how the boy was reacting to a bird... as if he had never noticed them before. understandably, touching one was different. Addison brushed off the tension produced and was suddenly overcome by worry and guilt when the bird cut the boy open.

Addison looked at the boy's dripping hand. "Are you alright?" He asked, a bit concerned and creeped-out that not a word was uttered.

"I do not require medical assistance," Grimm assured him.

"Rather, I still need a fowl. How do you propose I go about acquiring such a creature that cannot behave properly? I do not wish to harm it yet, so stunning it with a rock is out of the question. It could potentially damage the specimine..."

He pondered silently a few moments, wondering if his powers could extend to that of the animal kingdom. Maybe he could attempt to calm the creatures and take one without a fuss. He didn't seem to notice how strangely Addison was regarding him.

Addison cocked his head to the side and squinted a bit confusedly. He didn't quite know what to say. There was something very different about Grimm... something not quite socially normal.

"Well... uh... you could... umm... use sleeping gas... or hypnotism... or just befriend it and get it to trust you..." Those were the only things he could suggest in the midst of the creepiness. "Or, I could tie it's legs together for you and tie it's wings down so that it can't flap... would you like that?" Addison didn't know how to treat the boy...

"Yes, of course," Grimm said, determination renewed.

"There is nitrous oxide in the basement labs. I shall take that to aid me," he seemed to drift off, retreating to his thoughts. He was oblivious to Addison at that moment, so absorbed in his own mind.

"Yes, that is what I must do..." he murmured after a few strained seconds of silence. His head snapped up and he looked at Addison.

"I thank you for your assistance. I require you no longer," and with a last, empty stare at the birds, he turned and left the aviary. He was on a mission.

Addison scratched his head, still a bit lost and curious.

"Uh.. yea... no problem... Have a good day... You..." Addison felt bad having not even introduced himself to the new... strange boy he hadn't met. He tried to blow off the awkward scenario but the bloodstained concrete on the room left Addison with an eerie quake. "Damn..." He said, exiting the aviary as well.
