Probably for the best.

I'm surprised this place is as free as it is from your average Youtube commenting dilbert.

I still see the forum link if I visit the site in chrome, IE shows twitter instead though. Unless chrome just refuses to update the cache but that seems a little odd.

I'm guessing he wants to refer people to the site to showcase his work but doesn't want them seeing inane threads about useless tosh or Gerald's email woes.

I agree; there's not really much in the way of discussion about Dr. A's work really. I know I'm guilty of such things.

Also, I used to frequent another really good forum then the owner went mental and shut it down forever. That was a sad day.

I think this is a wonderful forum; I think I've mentioned somewhere before that this is literally the only webforum I've used in the past 4 or 5 years, as past experience put me right off the concept. This place is just genuinely lovely - a fantastic bunch of people, and some admittedly surreal discussion. Every time a new video from the good Dr is released, a thread to discuss it pops up almost instantly. I would be incredibly disappointed were this forum to disappear, but conversely, I don't think an influx of YouTube types is needed. 'Tis a quandary.

It's the only forum I frequent too. As for an influx of new members, it seems to happen pretty regularly anyway; how many times have you seen 'The newest member is Insertnamehere' only for them to make only a couple or three posts (or, more often than not, no posts) only to disappear?

Answer: way too often. But you have to admit, most are disciplined chaps not really looking for trouble.(although they do tend to ask the same things over and over again).
