1) It wouldn't have worked very effectively
haven't you watched Richard Hammond's recreation thing?
...no?

I saw it a few years ago. It was very clever, but I seem to remember watching thinking there were flaws in his logic. Wish I could remember what they were... Anyway, if you get the chance, give it a look, it features a big explosion and a mock up of Parliament.

When I was in Blackpool last Monday, there were kids with guys. I found it strange that parents would let such young children out alone at that time of night.

I'm rather senstive to bright light and loud noises, so I dislike fireworks, especially since I've been resting from a throat infection the last few days, and the neighbours decided to have a party.

Here there's a shitty little firework display going on tonight, but the organisers are charging £5 for anyone over 16, and £3 for under 16s.

Last year I got charged £5 because I didn't have an ID on me, and now this year that I have an ID to prove I'm 15, I'm not going because it's a waste of money and it always rains in Wales anyway.

You get charged to see a firework display? That's hardly fair. In my town the firework display is free to anyone who wants to stand in a freezing field and watch things explode.

I went to one last night. £3 to get in and then they had the front to charge £5 for an undercooked hotdog and a can of coke.
Going to Jeff's uni's one tonight. It's free and there'll be a bar. Much better.

I had a firework thrown at me once, I was walking to the local bonfire and some twats decided to launch it at me, my friends and lady walking her dog, it got stuck in a corner and exploaded, I dont think anyone was hurt.

So now I cant be fucked with "official" displays, and we just have family round are place to watch things go boom.

Although I've seen it all over the TV and it probably does happen in my area, I've never seen anyone mess with fireworks.

On the estate down the road from me, kids throw lit fireworks on to people's balconies. A few years ago they missed and the firework went in the pram of some baby that was being walked. Suffice to say, it didn't end to well for the baby or the kids that threw the thing. It amazes me how stupid people can be with something that is basically just dynamite and sparkles.

I remember some kids who lived a couple of doors down in a rented house(since then they've been kicked out, they also built a wooden flat-type thing in the garden whihc I assume was to house people hiding from the cops and has since been taken apart) who'd walk along with bits of stone and mud throwing them at windows and hoping for a reaction.

At my primary school, the kids used to throw stones at passing cars.

Kids are stupid.

I've managed to dodge my Church's display this year. I went to see The Men Who Stare at Goats instead. Plus, my tongue is swelling up and covered in uclers.

Yay! :ermm:

Does anyone remember on the news a year or two ago about some kids who pushed bricks off a bridge into the traffic? One smashed straight through the windscreen of a car killing the driver instantly.

I really like going to watch the fireworks, but I didn't go to any displays this year. I'm probably too old to go until I have children to take with me.
