This week, following half term, everyone returned to the school to find out that two swans had decided to take residence on our school playing fields. Now, that doesn't sound too out of the ordinary, does it? Except when you take into account that our school playing fields have sunk by at least a metre and a half, meaning that the main field has essentially (literally) become a pond - deep enough for these swans to swim on. Additionally, our changing rooms are nowhere near big enough for the number of pupils in each class and half our classrooms flood. And supposedly the school achieves some of the highest grades in Wales... Figure that one out.

The Birdbath's Doorway Tramp

Something tells me schools aren't generally built to sink. Our school is actually getting better. At first it got a repaint but there's new rooms, new toilets, a new beauty building(while I couldn't give a toss about it, it should give back the bits of the tech block that used to be used for circuits and stuff). The 6th form common room is being kitted out with a TV, freeview box and a new printer to go with the computers. It's all starting to take shape. Now we just need to get rid of the shit teachers, in particular my ICT Theory teacher, who not only can't teach she also knows fuck all about ICT, some of the examples she comes out with are terrible. |

I'm the perfect parsnip!

My school doesn't have computers, we don't do business studies, we don't do german, spanish, italian or any other USEFUL languages expect french english and irish, the languages we do, do are greek, latin, sanskrit, and complete ass. We have a georgian building that on the top floors is literally sinking down, and cracking the ceilings. I'm scared. Also we have no sports facilities expect a very small cement yard. The locker rooms are tiny, and (not kidding) if you lean on the wall will break. Also all they seem to be spending all the money on monitors (tv screens, mind you) in the hallways and speakers and projectors for no computers. Damn, the only good thing seems to be that the teachers are better than normal. HELP ME! DIE SCHOOL! ----

Shit, if your school is infested with swans don't you like have to ring up the queen to get her to come round and drop kick them or something? |

By the way, TNPP, you can make your signature image smaller by putting instead of just Edited by brandonsh, Nov 7 2009, 12:02 AM.

My primary school has been disused for years, my middle school was demolished and my high school is being demolished within a year. That should give you some idea of how good they were. |

Need a dodgy prescription?
|
The primary school I went to when I still lived with my granddad got demolished a few years ago and my secondary school got Molotov cocktailed when I was in year 7. I got a week off, but my sister was doing GCSEs and didn't get so lucky. It was quite funny though, all the drama GCSE kids had to have lessons in the science experiment area. Macbeth + getting high from gas taps = win! |

My schools are only evolving and getting better. But there are rumours that my primary school will close when the new(almost out of town) leisure centre is built, since we already have about 7 primary schools in the area. |

Not regular enough
|
My school is improving, but in true Ridgeway style. Everything has been cocked up. A new 3.8 million pound building has just opened to replace the 15 asbestos ridden, 40 year old (I kid you not) mobile claasrooms that made up the English department. The new building was not only a year delayed, it was built in the wrong place, and the builders had the plans the wrong way around when laying the foundations, so now it is back to front as well. This caused problems when connecting the building to the utilities. A new computer system went in over summer, which wasn't finished properly, so we had no network access for 2 weeks (every program is held on the server, so you would log in to find a start menu with shut down as the only option). Since this thing happened, the school has erected a large fence around the school (think 4m steel), but ran out of money, so they took a shortcut. The large school field is now cut in half, with the lower area out of bounds. Lunchtimes are now a joke as 1500 pupils try to fit onto half the space. Our school is good, with good facilities, but nothing quite works properly. |
