I think generally by parents being more and more restricted with the punishments used and are increasingly more afraid to punish their kids at all, it leaves them with less values, this is being passed on further down the line. And then new guidlines are brought in to stop it which brings in less punishment for kids leaving them with less values, etc, etc, etc, rinse and repeat and the like. It's a vicious circle. At least that's how I see it.

At what point in your life do you think it's a good idea to punch a toddler? The best you're going to get mugging a baby anyway is a wet dummy and maybe some blackcurrent squash if you're lucky. It's like my mum's old neighbour who decided to torch his car for the insurance and then called the fire brigade after he realised his house and all our cars where going to burn too. Stupid people need to be put out of their misery. That's why I like the Darwin Awards.
