Several scrolls are present with a satin sash binding them all into one heap. They have been seen the ordeal of time as the edges of the parchments reveal decay and brittleness. It is as though they have been one with the earth for a century, and are now just being introduced into the world as a way of archiving the adventures of a certain character.

This tome that we found from that necromancer has proven nothing but trouble to the rest of us. Iaral has proven himself to be a character with a story. I swear, all that we do now is fight off mysterious creatures from graves, cultist tomes, and apparently our own shadows from the testimony of my comrades.

A succubus was hard enough to deal with. Those creatures have such a strong will that it is so hard for me to even make an attempt to manipulate them. Whether it be their morale or mentality.

After that ordeal, I decided to go for a stroll and relax myself. The city we are in is quaint. There isn't a lot of drama to be dealt with inside the city. Except for that shopkeeper that Variz went to. I hope he didn't mention his affiliation with me, I really would like to get some supplies from that store.

Now, when it comes to the tower we are staying at, that is another situation entirely. The moment you step in there, something is going on. I walk, not even, 200 meters from the tower and Iaral has to find me to tell me that there was more trouble coming from the blasted book.

He teleports me to the sector of the tower where everyone else was at. I see Naris off in the corner holding onto a gashing wound she sustained from earlier, Morgar is swinging his hammer at shadowy apparition, and I didn't even get a chance to get health potions.

After we killed the figure, the real assassin appears. However, he doesn't stay an "assassin" for long. He turns into a giant flaming creature that can lurk in the shadows. I mean HUGE. I don't know how he can hide his massive build. I was 1/7 of his size and Life Gate forbid if I can find a way to walk around quietly without making that crunchy noise when my crystalline thighs rub against each other.

Thankfully, I saw his blade twinkle in the darkness when he was preparing to strike vaDanti. Disheartened him real quick. Then he put a noose around me neck. Aren't I happy to not need air to live?

This tome I swear...

I hope once we get it purified, it can be used as a summoning text. I would like to summon some of those monsters we have battled before, and make them tend to my pressing matters.

Like sharpening my fingers, polishing my body, and trying to explain to me what a banana tastes like. The important stuff really.

So we all decided to head to Neverwinter as our next destination. The city we were last in became too dangerous for us to stay in any longer, so we had to keep moving. It seemed easy enough. We even traveled with a group of guards. All was fine and dandy until the day was starting to turn to dusk.

Then it all went to hell. Zombies, lots of 'em, everywhere. Normally, I wasn't too scared of them. I mean... they eat flesh, I'm a walking crystal. Not much for me to fear.

But I tell you though. Those guards were unlucky. They were the first ones to be attacked. Not only that, but those zombies had amazing aim for the first few swing. They attack them at full force.

Then, something happened. Another "zombie" came up. But it was nothing like the rest. It was our soon-to-be comrade Yavuz. He was a welcomed aid to our struggle.

Everything was going pretty well. No one was dying (except the guards, I suppose) and they were going down. And then another thing popped out of the ground. A Umber Hulk.

According to Yavuz, Umber Hulks eat minerals... it was at that time I knew what my comrades felt when they face zombies. I, Marbles, have met my own "zombie." Morgar came out of one of the carts we were protecting and was able to gauge how strong the Umber Hulk was.

I'll tell you though, he was pretty strong. Worst part was that he was eyeballing me. I then had a realization. Umber Hulk come form a place where Deep Speech is the most commonly spoken tongue there. He was too far from me to shout. So I'd though I'd use my telepathy to communicate with the beast.

He was able to understand me, couldn't really speak. At least not in complete sentences. Apparently he was starving, craving food. That did not make me feel better. Then I came up with an ingenious plan to save myself and my comrades. I decided to bluff the Umber Hulk and in Deep Speech I told him this:

Marbles", ég er holdgun af steinefnum sem þú hefur neytt upp að þessum tímapunkti. Ég er kominn áður sem frelsara. Annaðhvort aðstoða okkur í assualt okkar, eða láta okkur vera. Ef þú velur hvorki skal ég senda þér í djúpt ríki á earthen Drottins þar sem þú skal neytt þig. (My name is Marbles, I am the incarnation of the minerals you have consumed up to this point. I have come before you as a savior. Either aid us in our assualt, or leave us be. If you choose neither, I shall send you into the deep realm of the Earthen Lord where you shall be consumed yourself.)

The Umber Hulk ultimately bought it. He then went from predator to beggar and pleaded me to feed him. That he could smelled magicked ores coming from the carts. That was suspicious considering the fact that there was only meant to be only supplies for a town in their.

Regardless, eventually we were able to scrap together metal armor from the destroyed corpses of the zombies to feed the Umber Hulk instead of the town's "supplies." In the end, he did leave a present for us... well for me at least for helping him. I got a cracked diamond. Not sure to sell it or keep it as a momento.

Either way, I hope those Umber Hulk don't become a recurring theme in our journeys.

It has been a long while since I have made an entry. A lot has happened since my lost record, but I shall highlight the most interesting.

One of the treasures that I have obtained was a cracked diamond from the Umber Hulk. I was planning on using it make some coin, however, later on in our journey I will have had found another use for it.

One of our battles that took place after that Umber Hulk encounter was in an unknown building filled with the undead, spiders, and some goblins. The most interesting foe however was a Demonic Toad. He was originally a statue on a lower floor, but he came to life and was flanking us from the rear as we were already in combat with specters.

There no where for us to go, the only way out of that room was behind a wall of rotting flesh. Backtracking was an impossibility with that Toad coming at us from that direction. Eventually were were able to lower the number of immediate specters in the room so we could all focus on the Toad.

He was formidable. His leaps conjured up green flames that burned us with its heat and ate ate us with its acidity. We were able to take down the beast and subsequently the specters as well.

However... I was still trapped in the corpses mouth from one of it's prior attacks. That Toad was heavy and I wasn't sure how I could get out. So I thought I would teleport out of there with my Shard Swarm ability. However an unexpected twist occurred. My shards embedded themselves into the toads corpse and with my Telepathic abilities I was able to use each shard as a conduit for my Psionic energy to travel through.

In summation, I was able to control the dead Toad and whatever abilities it still had within its memory and residual energy I was able to discern and use them as well. I was able to come up with a ritual on the spot to seal the Toad within my cracked diamond which not only made the diamond into an enchanted orb for combat, but also as a way for me to polymorph into a crystalline, demonic toad.

In our last battle, we got a request to investigate a cultist group that was causing trouble for Thundertree.

Naris did her best to use diplomatic measures at her disposal to talk to them, however they were all to zealous in their beliefs to succumb to their better judgments.

So we slaughtered them. One by one, we mowed them down as we progressed through their temple. Now, those Crushgrips, they were pretty hard to take down. Those things packed quite a punch. However, like any other cult, the members barely had any will of their own, so my Psionic attacks had almost no trouble hitting their marks.

It was when we reached the end of the temple that we has some issues. Some of our members had to leave our company for more pressing matters that came up, but they promised to send word to the others for backup.

So it was just Naris and Darly, MenMarch, and myself to take down the last brigade of cultists. It was fairly easy at first, the initiates were easy to take down. Despite the fact that they all were focused on Naris for their assault. I commend her to "tanking" as it is called. Quite an astounding feat for a caster.

After the initiates were taken care of, all that was left was that Snaketongue Celebrant...or so we thought.

We were thrown off as a Feymire Crocodile appeared from the water depths and join in the fight. The Fey magic that permeated from its body was almost too much to bare.

We thought we might have lost, if not for the reinforcements that arrived: Sykes, Fang, Miri, and Yavuz. (And Ciela, but she does jack squat)

All of us were able to take down both the Croc and Celebrant. Looking at the reptilian corpse, I pondered how I might be able to use it's body for my own personal use like the Demonic Toad. However, I settled for merely beheading the beast.

I'm now debating what I plan on doing with it...
