This is a parchment rolled and kept in a hidden tube in the quiver. The quill is at the bottom of the quiver and the ink is kept separate.

Upon arriving to Waterdeep I've somehow stumbled into a group of adventurers on a mission to stop a Necromancer. Upon defeat we pick up the loot and I spot a book. A tome that calls out to me. In my search for information about my people, I try my best to open it, but to no avail. Upon inspection I see it is of Dwarven make and holds Arcana power. I must get this open. Any clue I'll take. So I ask our Rogue to pick the lock on this book and after we open it, its empty. EMPTY!

But the worst part was that it emitted a tracking signal and we had to summon a succubus to sever the connection to the 9 Hells..... Now because of my pursuit we must leave Waterdeep to another safe haven. I don't know where we'll go, and I don't know how long this will put off my quest to find my information. However long it takes, I will find out who my people were, why they were killed, who killed them, AND TAKE MY REVENGE!

We didn't even get halfway to the next town before we were set upon by zombies. A wave of zombies going after the caravan we were safeguarding. And lo' and behold, as I tread a little further from the path, a giant mole-like creature erupts from the earth starving and looking at our companion Marbles for food.

The zombies were easily destroyed, (For me since I shot one in the head!), but I digress. We fed the mineral eating mole some armor from the zombies and no one had to sacrifice their own armor or any of the cargo. After the field was clear we set up camp and *yawn* I'm gonna lie here at this tree for now. Goodnight.

Day 1 inside Neverwinter, the sun is setting and we have been called to battle, again. These endless days of battle leave me weary and exhausted. Our pursuers do not give up the chase for us. And to add, a battle erupted INSIDE the city walls. I hope Iaral's group was able to help the guards. I was hoping to get to visit the House of Knowledge before another battle, but that will have to wait.

Variz pauses before touching the quill to the parchment again

I hope this place will give me a clue. Even if just one shows up among all that knowledge, I will follow it till my vengeance is sated.

BY THE GODS! Knowledge is denied to me again! As we approached the library we were warped into another realm. Evernight was its name. More death. Death, death, death. How is it everywhere we go there is death? Upon our escape we were teleported to another area, this time it appeared to be a jail. Our party journeyed through the dark keep and we were set upon by small critters, finally a change from undead. When we happened across some goblins conducting a ritual I foolishly in my haste grabbed the mini-caster and interrupted a sealing ritual. So my team and I had to flee a colossal frog demon and we were trapped behind a wall of corpses, through which ghosts came to assault us. Fortuitous we were to have a Cleric when we did, for I'm sure we all would have died without her. As we drew closer to the surface we found the tomb of the Neverwinter King, a sight I truly did not want to see. All I desire is to make my way back to that House of Knowledge so that I may discover myself among its papers.

En route to Neverwinter we come upon a village under attack by Orcs. They were acting under orders of their leader who followed the way of Gruumsh. The anger in my blood just boiled over and I removed all restraints on myself with an intent to kill. However, when I learned he never set foot in Elfharrow, I could not bring myself to kill him. As the battle continued we were able to force a surrender from the leader, and we allowed him to collect and bury his dead companions.

Variz stretches in the back of the wagon and yawns before continuing his writing.

So now I shall rest and hope for safer travels in the morning.
