Here are some suggestions for character profiles. This is not a character sheet, per se, but can be used as such if desired. 1) Character Name. We've got to have a name. Something to call you by, be it a full name, nickname, codename, doesn't really matter, as long as we have something descriptive and original. "Internet names" are discouraged, for example Infusion_07 or KeybladeMaster86. That's fine for your forum name, but that's not a character name. This isn't an MMO... wait, yes it is. You'll probably receive a nickname after running around with our members for a while. If you don't like it, ask us not to call you that and we'll respect your wishes. 2) Physical appearance 3) Personality - Any quirks and idiosyncracies can be expounded upon here. Is your character snarky? Amiable? Does he hate puns with a passion? We want to get to know him! What's your character's moral, ethical, or character alignment? You know, like in all the big RPGs, lawful good, chaotic evil, true neutral, where does your character fall in the spectrum? This isn't mandatory, but it's a good place to begin. 4) Weapons - Does not have to be an exhaustive list, but the more background you provide, the easier it will be to dive in and for other players to interact with you. 5) Armor - Again, doesn't have to be exhaustive, but more information is welcome. 6) Abilities - This should be as complete as possible, though you don't really need to list every weapon proficiency or where your character excels at one particular aspect of parkour. Also, it's fun to leave some room for your character to grow and learn new abilities later, so don't feel obligated to provide a complete top-tier hero right from the start. 7) Weaknesses - All heroes and commoners have some weaknesses, right? Your character is not exempt. Whether you're allergic to fire, afraid of spiders or have a prosthetic robotic limb that becomes disabled during lightning storms, jot it down. Ya gotta have at least one! Weaknesses, like abilities, can be latent and surface later, during the course of the adventure. 8) Biography - A little backstory on your character is desired, but not entirely necessary. The smallest amount that is necessary is a simple explanation of what your character is doing here on Eternity's End. How did he get here? Why is he here? Does he have family or friends here? 9) Allies - Got any friends or family that we may bump into at some point? Feel free to list them here. Of course, if your character woke up on a beach with amnesia, he may have allies he doesn't remember until later. A quick name and how they are involved with your character are fine, a complete profile on each one isn't necessary. Once your character is approved here, you will be eligible to run around the F2RP areas! While most of us will read your profile here, it'll still take some time for us to get to know your character. I think that's about it, but if you need any more advice or guidance, ask away either through PM or preferably right here in the topic. Edited by Greene, Dec 23 2013, 10:23 AM.
