I've seen some of my Staff posting on other sites, and haven't been on mine for a few days. This is ridiculous. I'm taking the Members opinions to help me decided what I should do to them. Tell me should they be de-graded after a certain amount of time offline? |

Ok, well my opinion is that if you are going to be a staff member you need to go online atleast once every few days and do plenty of good posts. Also if you go on the computer for whatever reason always visit the site you are staff on, eg moderator. Just incase there is something you need to do on the site. There is no point being staff if you can't visit regulary beacuse there might be people who visit more than you who deserve it. I think that you should just warn the staff who are doing what you said and then see if they continue. Its just what i would do in that situation. But remember there could be a good reason like they could be ill or go on holiday. There computer might even have broken. Also sometimes my mum will say i am not allowed on the computer for a few days if i am grouned so there could be many reasons. But if they have posted on other sites like you said then i don't know.
 |

I think you should just ask the staff members who don't post on your site, but on others, if they really want to be staff members on your site. Tell them that it's no probem if they don't want to be (unless it is) and just give them one last chance. Other than that, I have no clue  |

I voted for let them get on when ever they want. I mean yes, some people do have other important things to do then site around on the friggen computer all day. Sorry no offense. YES, however they do need to get on as much as possible at least 3 times a week or more because it is also their responsiblility to do work on here! Kay~ |

I believe that it's the staff's responsibility to come on this site as much as possible. They are staff because they are members who have continued to post well, and have shown a great pride in coming to this board almost every day. I don't think that it's necessary for every staff member to come every day because they have lives outside of the internet. For example, I won't be on tomorrow at all because we have our first marching band competition tomorrow (Wish me luck please!
:D ). It's okay if the staff here are posting at other sites as long as they make an effort, as I said before, to come here as much as possible. Even if they don't post a reply, or make a thread everyday, just checking up on threads, forums and subforums is enough. This will show other staff, and other members that they truly care for this wonderful site. Wow....that took a while.... ~Melissa |

I have to disagree somewhat with you Mel. NOT TO GET IN A FIGHT AT ALL!!!!!!! But, what if someone is sick, or has family problems. Or parents won't let them get on? How are they going to be able to get on "daily". YES! They should get on but not 24/7. As mods and others say at TS3 the world does not revolve around the computer and the internet. It is true it is their responsiblility, but what IF there was a problem. If they don't get on daily then, as, on another site I almost lost my modship to this because I couldn't get on daily. Now that person basically shut down the site. No, I don't need to be mod unless I prove that I am worthy of it or someone says I can be. I don't ask much of that. I am just saying let them get on when they need to. THEY SHOULD how ever try to post at least 15 posts a week or more. OR get on at least 3 days a week and post some. My Case, hopefully is settled. I am sorry to offend any of you. I am just trying to state a point in my own head. Please don't come back and start yelling at me for it. That is not what I intended to do. Kay~ |

Kay you're not getting my point. I've seen them on other sites, not just for a few minutes.. if they are able to post there, they're able to come and post a while here. |

I think you should send them a warning email, then if they still don't visit the site they should loose their posstion. There may be members that visit more than them who deserve it. That is what i would do anyway. |

I don't think people should be downgraded - I quite often spend time here while on other sites (I get the feeling you may be talking about me) and post there and not here. This is often because I've said my piece and other new posts are agreeing with me - I don't want to spam it up by repeating myself. If people are obviously not dedicated then a removal of priviledges/staffness should be considered, but only after talking it through with the person and warning them. The flipside of people being on other places but not here is when people are here but not on other places - I'd say it's about equal. Also blessed be decides if you're her by activity, whereas other sites (such as TS3) does so by if you have a window open. I quite often leave myself signed into both for a day by mistake, just by leaving computer on with the windows up. TS3 thinks I'm there - after ten minutes, blessed be doesn't. |
