This thread will go on every squad forum. This will explain all the squad ranks, requirements to be in the squad, and what we expect from squad members. 1) All squads for CRuSH are for competitive members only. If you just want to play casually, just join the CRuSH Platoon on Battlelog. There's a thread to take you there in the squads section. 2) There is no limit to how many members can be in the squad. However, there will only be a max of 12 "Starters". Starters are the members that are the first members we look to play if in the situation of any clan event, such as a tourney, or a scrim vs. another clan. 3) Any members outside of the starting 12 will be considered backups. We will contact one or more of these players to compete in a tournament or scrim in the case that someone in the starting 12 can't make it. 4) Backups will be first come first serve, we will not seek after only the best backups unless they make it known they are available early on in the seeking backups process. 5) This is a competitive team. As a result, only the best players will make the starting 12. Not only does skill matter, but teammate chemistry does as well. I would rather have a guy with a skill of 100 that is respectful and works well with the team, than a guy with a 300 skill that yells, curses, and rages out completely and disrespects and blames other players. Here at CRuSH, respect and maturity comes before skill. 6) Disrespecting ANYBODY or failing to let us know you can't make a clan event multiple times in a row will result in being replaced from the starting 12. 7) You must follow the orders of a superior. The Squad Commander will have final say, but he may hand orders down for someone else to decide. Whoever has the permission to give orders should be listened to, no matter what you think is the best thing to do in game. 8) No members shall abuse the "relive of duty" permissions. Below you will see what that means, but do not relive anyone of duty because he disagrees. Relive them of duty if he constantly makes decisions that do not pan out for the squad. These rules, as well as the CRuSH Clan rules apply. Now, the ranks and CoC. Squad Commander: (1) -The Squad Commander is the leader of the squad. He makes the calls, he decides what everyone should do, and he has say in everything. Of course, if he's a good leader, the opinions of his squad should matter in what he says the team should do. To obtain Squad Commander, one must show leadership, skill, team chemistry, and knowledge of what to do in any situation. The Squad Commander can be impeached if the majority of the squad all agrees he should not be Squad Commander. It will be up to a Lieutenant of CRuSH to determine a new Commander, and he will have 1 week to do so. Only Staff Sergeant or higher may apply to be a Squad Commander. In game, if the majority of the team disagrees on the orders of the Commander, he can be "relived of duty" and replaced by the Second in Command. This is to prevent a Squad Commander from being in over his head. If relived of duty, the Squad Commander then becomes the Second in Command. Complaining about this will result in an eventual impeach. All Squad Commanders will get a reason why they are in command in the official roster page. Second in Command: (1) -The Second in Command (SiC) is the main man of the Squad Commander. It is his job to give the Squad Commander all Intel he asks for, and provide him help in making difficult decisions. Anyone can be SiC, but it will be up to the Squad Commander to decide who gets the position. SiC's will need to show leadership, skill, teamwork, and the ability to take command if the Commander is relived of duty. The opinion of a SiC should be considered greatly, even if it is not that of the Commander. The SiC also should keep an open mind, and look at it from the Commander's point of view. If the Commander is relived of duty, the SiC will be made momentary Squad Commander. He will be relived of Squad Commander after the game is over. The SiC can also be impeached by a majority vote, or by the Squad Commander reliving him of his duty. If the Squad Commander is impeached, the SiC will be made Squad Commander until the given CRuSH Lieutenant decides who should be Commander. If the squad likes the idea of the SiC being Commander, they can overturn the Lieutenant's decision with a majority vote. Squad Major: (2) -Squad Major's are the guys who lead their soldiers into battle. While the Squad Commander makes the calls, it will be the Major's who usually carry it out into battle. The Squad Commander will demand certain soldiers in certain spots, or give certain soldiers orders, and it will be up to the Major's to ensure they listen and get into position or follow the orders. Squad Major's are decided by the Squad Commander and the SiC, as both opinions will matter. Should the Squad Commander AND the SiC be relived of duty in game, the team will need to decide which of the Major's will take over as Squad Commander. Nobody below Squad Major will be able to take over as Squad Commander in game. Squad Lieutenant: (2) -Squad Lieutenant is the first officer rank for the squad, and their job is to command the soldiers in their surrounding area in tight situations. Example: It's 12 v 12 on Flood Zone, and the team has only the B flag. There are 4 soldiers just outside the A flag, one is a Squad Lieutenant, and the Squad Commander and SiC are busy commanding soldiers defending the B flag, and attacking the C flag. The Lieutenant has a couple options. Stay away from the A flag, and run to B to help take B, trusting the others will capture C. Or attack A, opening the chance for total control if the rest of the team can successfully defend B and take C, or risk 4 deaths trying to take A, and because the Lieutenant didn't command a retreat to help defend B, the others lose B as well, leaving the enemy team a perfect shot at total control. Squad Lieutenant's will be named from the Commander and SiC. They cannot be named Commander due to "relief of duty". Lieutenant's will need to show skill, leadership, and knowledge in tight situations. Squad Sergeant: (3) -Squad Sergeants are normal soldiers, but they are the ones that show promise and have to help aid Lieutenant's in those tight situations. Sergeants need to show skill and teamwork, and cannot be made Commander by relief of duty. Squad Private: (3) -Squad Private's are the normal soldiers. They have no jobs, and do not need to show anything except teamwork and some skill. Soldiers will most likely be moved in and out of this position. Edited by Protege vQ, May 29 2014, 05:48 PM.

But my whole point is there will most likely be a Lt. or above to carry out those orders with a couple soldiers below him in that same area. An officer takes command of an area and everyone around him, if the officers are spread out there won't be a need to have 2 privates and a sergeant, there will be everyone in that area to help. If there is no officer in the area then a sergeant will command HIS area, regardless of if there are 2 privates or not. If there's only 2 soldiers somewhere, we'll probably just command an officer to move to that area or have one spawn in on them. I know they have to show promise and all to get sergeant but there is no way I'm gonna let a sergeant command anything the entire game unless I feel they deserve lieutenant but both Lt. spots are taken. If you feel comfortable with a sergeant then by all means command 2 privates to join that sergeants location and have them listen to him. But it would be best to just make sure an officer is in the area at all times.
