When we get more members in Bravo Squad, we'll need to have roles. We can't just have everyone go out with whatever class and kill and cap or whatever. The other team will likely be organized and have an easy counter to that. We need player roles, and maybe later even have plays. Here's what I was thinking, and remember, this is a 12 man team. Team Medic: 2 -The role of the Team Medic is to follow a group of soldiers and hang back, making sure not to die. It will be up to the other soldiers to make sure he does not die, because in the situation of an attack on the current location of the soldiers, he could easily revive and heal the soldiers who die in that attack, giving us a second chance to defend the attack and keep our flag. Anti Tank Soldier: 2 -The name speaks for itself. Anti Tank soldiers might not have to follow a group of soldiers, but instead stay in the area of a group. This way, they can maybe sit on a hill and spot enemy soldiers, and if an enemy tank comes around and kills the group, he will still be alive and undetected, and take out the tank. Also, it is recommended he carry a repair tool to double up as an Anti Tank and a Engineer soldier. Cover Soldier: 2 The Cover Soldier will follow a group of soldiers and set up just outside the flag the group is trying to capture. It would be a good idea to use an LMG with a Bi-Pod. He can aim down the area just outside of the flag where the enemy soldiers might be coming from and provide cover fire, making the enemy think twice about a full attack on the group capturing the flag, giving the group time to set up and defend the attack. Sniper: 1 The Sniper is an obvious soldier. I only say 1 of these because we will need as many soldiers on the group capping as much as possible. The Sniper will find a tower, or the top floor of a room, or a roof that overlooks 1 or more flags. His job is mainly to spot enemy's and it would be nice if he carried a PLD to lock on to enemy tanks for Anti Tank soldiers. This will also be the most limited soldier in the game. He DOES NOT fire at will. Instead, he will need to let the Squad Commander know where he is set up, and where he see's an enemy. If there is one or two and it's an easy shot, the Squad Commander may give the open fire command. However, if there is 3 or more soldiers in an area, there would be no point in giving away your position. Spot them instead, call them out, and wait for some support to arrive. When they arrive, you may open cover fire. That way they are spotted, and are forced to hide from the sniper fire, making it easy for the group to eliminate them and capture the flag in the area. Group Soldier: 5 This is the most basic, yet the most important soldier. They will usually grab a Medic, and an Anti Tank soldier and go to a flag. They do all the work down on the ground in terms of capping a flag. These soldiers can also carry a medic pack or a launcher to get rid of tanks, but they will not be under the category of Team Medic or Anti Tank, that way we can still have them out on the flag, without taking away their supplies. There will usually be 2 of these with a Medic and an Anti Tank soldier in one group, depending on the size of the map. They can be any class with any weapons and equipment they want, it will be up to them to determine what is best for the current situation. The Squad Commander may also request one of these to carry a certain weapon or equipment for a moment to help in a certain situation. It is recommended that a Group Soldier have a variety of options for all 4 classes, while the Medics and Anti Tank soldiers have all options for the Assault or Engineer class. Let me know if there should be any improvements. |
