OPEN BATTLE ROYAL

All the scheduled performers were already in the ring for the battle royal, stretching out or trash talking with one another. Lexxi D. Vine put a target on her head by using a mic to denigrate her opponents; “you’re all like, so pathetic - get on my level!”. Kenny Sex grabbed Lexxi by a handful of hair and threatened to spank her in front of everyone. The bell finally rang and they were underway - a mass brawl of punches, kicks and elbows. Bianca Davis doubled Kenny over with a gut kick and then Lexxi sprang off the ropes to deliver The H8rmin8ter, a running curb stomp. The ladies attempted to throw Kenny out early but he managed to hold onto the ropes and slither back under the bottom rope. Meanwhile, Lizzie Jones clotheslined Coco Ramirez over the top rope for the first elimination. The second quickly followed as Tom Lobiondo hit Chuck Adams with a Knockout Kick, sending him over and out. Dillon Taylor then caught Lobiondo and chopped him back into a corner. Walter Martin tried tossing Lizzie Jones out but she landed on the apron. Walter turned away to celebrate and Lizzie hit him with a springboard bulldog. As Walter climbed to his feet, Lizzie dropkicked him over the ropes. Bianca and Lexxi had turned their attention to Aphrodite, wearing down the The Fatal Attraction with a series of stomps. Suddenly Kenny Sex stunned Bianca with a forearm smash to the back of the head and then tipped her out and over. Aphrodite recovered to charge Lexxi but Daddy’s Little Princess pulled down the top rope and sent her flying over. Lizzie Jones was battling Tom Lobiondo and managed to drop him with a spike DDT but the impact sent him through the ropes. She then went after Dillon Taylor but The Young Gun ducked her clothesline and hit the Venom Bite. Lizzie didn’t fall, instead staggering for a moment before Taylor threw her out and over.

Lexxi struck Sex with a low blow from behind and bundled him over the ropes. She goaded Kenny with an L for loser sign but then Ryan Zane appeared to chuck her out onto the randy newcomer. Lexxi threw a total bitch fit at ringside, kicking at the steel steps and threatening legal action against. With a chuckle, Zane took a few steps back but his expression changed as he knocked into Dillon Taylor. Both men traded punches, with the Irishman gaining the upper hand; he sent Zane towards the ropes and drilled him with a Taylor Made Spear on the return. Out of nowhere, Lobiondo came flying off the top rope with the Stage Dive on Taylor; The Rebel Rockstar had not been eliminated previously. As Zane got to his feet, Tom struck him over and out with a Knockout Kick. He then tried to suplex Taylor out but The Young Gun reversed it, seemingly lifting Tom up for a vertical suplex but then dropping him chest first onto the top rope. Lobiondo hung for a moment before Taylor hit a vicious high knee, sending him to the outside in a heap. Taylor had won the battle royal and celebrated with his arms raised to cheers from the Hollywood fans in attendance.

WINNER: DILLON TAYLOR

No sooner was the opening battle royal over did the show got officially underway. The HPW theme tune blared over the arena as the fans rose to their feet. Charles Fischer made his way out from the back to a mixed reception, greeting a few less volatile fans in the front row as he walked around the ring to the announcers table and took up a chair. As the music phased out he explained to Walsh and Santos that he was looking forward to seeing “Bryan McLaughlin” make a fool of himself in front of the HPW fans and he wanted a front tow seat to witness it.

Meanwhile, Dillon Taylor, pleased with his debut win, was still celebrating with the fans at ringside, taking the time to sign a few autographs and chat to the enthusiastic crowd. Suddenly, the famous ‘Thunder and Blazes’ clown music began to play as Broken McLaughlin made his way out onto the rampway attempting to ride a unicycle. The crowd jeered wildly as the self-proclaimed ‘Intergalatic Burger Overlord’ gave an exaggerated bow to either side of the stage. He tossed his unicycle off the rampway hitting an unsuspecting cameraman as the nearby fans hurtled abuse. He then proceeded to squirt the crowd with what appeared to be a yellow-brown substance from a flower attached to his clothes. A few frat boys in the front rows picked up on the scent, noticing it was beer, and cheered the maniacal clown. McLaughlin then started pulling balloons from his pockets and making animals for some of the excited young children in the crowd. He surprised everyone, not least Fischer, with his child-friendly demeanour before turning his attention to a nearby family celebrating a daughters 18th birthday. McLaughlin whipped up a quick set of 'one and eight' balloons for the girl who was thrilled at the attention. He then laughed maniacally and created another set of balloons seemingly shaped like male and female reproductive organs and simulated things he shouldn't. The outraged family were yelling at the clown while nearby Dillon Taylor had seen enough. He stepped in and popped the balloons as the crowd cheered, before confronting McLaughlin who was angered at his party being spoiled. They began to exchange words before a brawl ensued between the two spilling over the rails and into the crowd before a barrage of officials ran down the rampway to drag McLaughlin back towards ringside in time for his match.

Daniel Corvin & Broken McLaughlin vs. The Nomad & Finch Maruta

Finch Maruta received a great reception from the fans, although he didn’t receive quite such a warm welcome from The Nomad, his tag team partner for the night. The hobo started screaming obscenities at Finch before the match had even started. Meanwhile, Daniel Corvin kept his distance from Broken McLaughlin, who was already lurking at ringside. The referee had a quick word with the four competitors, reminding each of them to operate within the rules or risk disqualification. Nomad paid no mind and hit McLaughlin with a thunderous haymaker, igniting a frenzied brawl between some of the fiercest men on the roster. The referee managed to hold Finch back, ordering him onto the apron, while Corvin whipped Nomad into the opposite corner for him and Broken McLaughlin to lay into him. The referee eventually forced Broken to the outside and the match began. The Prince of Darkness grounded his unorthodox opponent with a series of clubbing blows before locking in a single leg crab. The Nomad gradually clawed his way back to his corner, bellowing in agony. He just about managed to tag in his partner, and Finch exploded on Corvin with several short-arm clotheslines and then a flying leg lariat. He tried a stunning springboard moonsault but Corvin caught him with a spinning backfist. The Prince of Darkness went for a cover but Nomad broke it up, which brought McLaughin into the mix. He drilled Finch with a springboard blockbuster while Corvin hit Nomad with The Glorifier and then booted him out onto the mats at ringside. Corvin tried to pin Finch but the underdog had a foot on the rope. Incensed, Corvin tagged in Broken and they both pummeled Maruta with punches and kicks. The clown whipped Finch into one corner and struck him with the Triple Thick Milkshake Superkick. Finch stumbled out into the McDouble but as Broken went for the cover, Nomad reached under the bottom rope and pulled him off by the leg. Corvin launched himself over the ropes onto Nomad with a suicide dive. Broken turned back to a double knee facebreaker from Finch for a near fall. Maruta saw Corvin climbing to his feet so he vaulted over the ropes, connecting with a flying forearm smash. McLaughlin rolled out of the ring to attack Finch and soon a bloodied Nomad was involved - all four of them fighting up the ramp. The referee could do no more to maintain order and was forced to declare a no contest. It took almost a dozen stagehands to pull them apart.

NO CONTEST

Backstage, Bianca Davis was standing by with Marcella Soto. Bianca was telling the world how the Hollywood fans should bow at her feet, and what she was going to achieved here in HPW. She started berating the current crop of female wrestlers, describing them as ‘not very Hollywood’ and ‘cheap trash’. This didn't go down too well with Eryn Tyme who happened to be passing by. ‘Miss Assitude’ sized her up, down and behind, saying she wasn't much to look at and there wasn't much to grab hold of. She offered to let the fans decide who had the better assets, adding that she wasn't talking in the financial sense. Bianca didn't look too thrilled and threatened that the next time they saw each other 'The Malibu Queen' would have the last laugh.

The camera followed Eryn - paying close attention to her famous posterior - as she wandered down the arena corridors. 'Miss Assitude' reached the office of Arcane with a wry smile. She slipped inside, leaving the door slightly open. The Assistant General Manager stopped typing on his computer, giving Eryn his full attention as she waved hello. Arcane echoed his comments on Twitter; "I like to get to know my employees", before adding, "especially when they look like you". She giggled in response, batting her eyes. He told her to make herself comfortable and then walked over to the door and closed it with a wink towards the camera.

Wulf Erikson & Jack Rose vs. Dylan Styles & David Mendes

‘I Stand Alone’ by Godsmack echoed around the Long Beach Arena as the partisan crowd voiced their overwhelming disapproval at the sight of HPW Champion Dylan Styles. Styles laughed it off, inciting more hostility but constantly tapping his belt. A few yards behind him was the misguided David Mendes looking particularly focused and determined. As they entered the ring Jack Rose made his entrance to a great reception, albeit nothing compared to what came next, as the crowd went mental for ‘The Silver Bullet’ Wulf Erikson. Erikson slapped hands with the enthusiastic fans in the front rows before pointing to his opponents in a manner of warning. As they all stood in the ring Rose and Erikson fist bumped as Erikson stepped onto the outside. Styles gave Mendes a little pep talk before stepping onto the outside himself as the bell rung and the two adversaries locked up. Rose seemed pretty fired up, choosing not to use his technical arsenal, opting to aggressively brawl his opponent instead. It didn't pay off though as the light-footed Mendes took control of the match. With Styles massaging his ego in the corner he put the boot into the Londoner with a series of chops and suplexes. Rose tried reaching out for his partner but Mendes was quick to thwart any tags as he continued to inflict pain, before Rose countered another suplex out of nowhere into a Reverse DDT, followed by a desperate dive across the ring to make the hot tag. Wulf was fired up looking for revenge after Mendes cost him the match last week. Mendes failed to regain momentum as Wulf took great pleasure in hitting a well executed arm trap neckbreaker followed by a springboard Asai moonsault. He went for a cover but changed his mind as Mendes began to crawl slowly towards his partner. Wulf smiled and stepped back, choosing not prevent the tag as he motioned for Styles to come at him. Styles tagged himself in and charged at Wulf but ‘The Neon Knight’ ducked and hit the champ with a few right hooks. He whipped him into the corner and followed up with a splash followed by a flipping Leg Drop. After a failed cover he picked up ‘The Infection’ and whipped him into the ropes, but Styles reversed it into a clothesline. Styles was quick to seize the moment though and punished Erikson with a few body chops and shoot kicks. He set him up for his finisher - Death Penalty (450 Splash) but Erikson rolled out the way as both men lay hurt in the middle of the ring. After a slow recovery they made simultaneous tags as Rose and Mendes came at one another with Rose getting the advantage. He hit a few clotheslines before setting Mendes up with the London Eye - Tilt o Whirl Backbreaker. Styles, now on the outside, saw this going down but opted not to assist his partner, instead taking his belt and walking up the rampway. Rose tagged in Wulf who ascended the turnbuckle and hit a shooting star press for the win. He pointed at Styles who was watching from the rampway and motioned to his belt but Dylan just shook his head with a smile and uttered ‘never’ as Rose and Wulf celebrated inside the ring.

WINNERS: JACK ROSE & WULF ERIKSON

Backstage, Dillon Styles was seen knocking on the office door of Charles Fischer. He didn't wait for an answer before entering. Fischer motioned for him to sit down and congratulated him on his big win earlier in the night. He said he was impressed with how he challenged the ‘thorn in his side’ that was Broken McLaughlin. He said there was a lot of hype around for the CWC for Dillon right now, not directly from Chris Callum or Kenneth Wayne, because they didn't answer his calls, but from people that had spoke to them who occasionally DID answer his calls. Getting back on track he told Dillon he was rewarding the Irishman by putting him in the California Cup tournament next week. Dillon seemed pleased with himself, and stood up to leave but Fischer stopped him. He said there were a lot of people interested in that spot - name-checking Lobiondo and Corvin - and that by giving the spot to him he was unintentionally making him a marked man. Dillon nodded, saying that's something he could deal with. before leaving.

In the infamous HPW catering room, Ryan Zane was seen talking to anyone who would listen. He was bragging about his ‘Hollywood status’ and all the big stars that he's previously worked with. He said he was accustomed to the spotlight and it was only a matter of time before he was in it again. Listening with intent was Tom Lobiondo, who began to laugh sarcastically at Zane’s boasts. He said he all those years working as a stunt double probably came in useful when he tossed him outside the ring earlier this evening. Zane didn't look too pleased at being humiliated in front of a crowd of people and retaliated with a few jibes at the rocker's hair. Zane said he was disappointed they let this kind of punk trash in to mix with the ‘Hollywood elite’. Lobiondo let out another sarcastic laugh before diving across the tables at a surprised Zane. The two began to brawl around the room as people fled from the immediate area, food and cutlery flying in all directions. Eventually a few of the other wrestlers and a handful of officials stepped in to pull them off each other.

As the crowd eagerly awaited the next match, Photronique's 'Call Me Superstar' announced the arrival of a young woman, clad in a feathery, ankle-length, pearl-green robe and aviator shades. As the newcomer stopped atop the entrance way to strike a pose, take a selfie and check her own perfect nails, the commentators reminded viewers this is Lexxi D. Vine, who competed in the open battle royal to kick off proceedings.

As she continued to make her way down the ramp, the youngster made a point of either ignoring or openly scoffing at front row fans - an attitude which, predictably, did not ingratiate her with the crowd in attendance. The first few boos had begun to rain down from the stands by the time the girl ascended the steel steps and entered the ring, and only became worse once she actually requested a microphone from a nearby stage hand and held it to her lips.

"Shut up, LOSERS!", were Lexxi D. Vine's words to the Hollywood Pro fans. This less than polite ice-breaker immediately - and predictably - drew the ire of the crowd, but Lexxi was just getting started. She went on to say that the fans were just jealous because they wished they were real Hollywood stars and got to hang out with actual famous people like she did. The commentators took this chance to point out that Lexxi was currently shooting a film right there in Hollywood, rumoured to star YouTube personality Anthony of Smosh TV, among other up-and-coming industry names.

By this time, the boos were flowing steadily and loudly from the stands, but Lexxi seemed all but unaffected by them. Instead, her response to the jeering was simply to raise her voice - a tactic which made her sound even more shrill - as she went on to say all of the fans in the arena that night were haters, and that if they insisted in booing her, she would tell her father to sue every single one of them, and then tell her 'Uncle Donald' to 'export' them and sign a travel ban so they were never allowed back in the country.

This, predictably, made the jeers even louder, to the point where Lexxi's voice was nearly drowned out. She had to strain her vocal cords as much as they would allow in order to complete her address, remarking that the fans may be booing now, but that, once she had run through all the 'sluts and ho's' on the roster and been crowned HPW Women's Champion, they would have to accept the fact that she was, quite simply, better than them. She then added, with a smirk, that she would even be willing to start at the bottom, by taking out gutter trash like Lizzie Jones or Samantha Tolson.

The mention of the two fan-favourites sent the crowd into a frenzy, drawing a mixture of cheers for the two newcomers and deafening boos for Lexxi. Many of the fans in attendance appeared hopeful that the brash, conceited newcomer would be interrupted by either of the names in question, but their hopes were, sadly, frustrated in this instance; Lexxi managed to make it out of the ring and up the entrance ramp unscathed. The crowd were, however, still booing as the cocky young newcomer disappeared through the curtain and back towards the locker room area, freeing up the ring for the next scheduled match.

Madalyn Macie & Hot and Trashy vs. Eryn Tyme, Carlisle Davis and Keira Hayden

Once the entrances had been made Macie appointed herself the first to compete. Upon which Carli pleaded with her team mates for a chance at retribution. The two locked up but it was Macie that gained the early advantage before making a quick tag to Dakota, who picked up where Macie left off. Carli struggled to gain any sort of momentum as Montana was duly tagged in to keep the team fresh. The Queen of Hardcore continued the onslaught with an abdominal stretch but Carli just about found the ropes. As Carli laboured to her feet Montana went for the clothesline from hell but Carli countered with a monkey flip. Both women crawled across the ring to their respective corners but it was Carli who got their first and made the hot tag to Eryn. ‘Miss Assitude’ wasted no time in sinking her claws into the woman that cost her the HPW Championship. She took great pleasure in hitting her adversary with a superkick and her signature Irish Curse - side slam backbreaker. Montana looked fine for as Eryn went for the pin but Macie broke it up as Carli jumped in to retaliate, followed by Dakota and Keira, who swiftly tossed the Queen of Sleaze to the outside of the ring. Macie and Carli brawled onto the outside mat as Montana and Eryn tussled on the inside. Eryn landed a big snap suplex as Montana rolled to under the ropes, while Eryn made the tag to Keira who by now was ready and waiting for her opportunity. Dakota was back in the ring now, though not the legal woman, but the Referee had long since lost control of what was going on. Keira tried to hit a quick shining wizard but Dakota ducked and tripped her opponent in the centre of the ring as she tried to lock on a surfboard stretch, but Eryn climbed back under the ropes in time to break it up. Madalyn Macie was back inside the ring now, attacking Eryn from behind. Davis wasn't too far behind as she and Dakota began throwing fists of their own. Montana slid back in just as Keira climbed to her feet as all six women tussled back and forth. Suddenly Bianca Davis was running down the rampway and rolled under the ropes unbeknownst to the Referee. Eryn Tyme forced Macie into the corner of the ring with a huge uppercut only to turn around into Bianca’s Implant DDT. Macie, who was struggling up against the turnbuckle, saw Eryn laid out on the canvas and went for the cover. The Referee shrugged his shoulders and made the three count as the fans protested around the arena.

WINNER: MADALYN MACIE & HOT AND TRASHY

As the action wound down Carli and Keira fell to the outside and made their way up the ramp-way, bemoaning their luck once again. Meanwhile Eryn was steadying her feet back inside the ring surrounded by Macie and the Shane Sisters. Macie nodded to them both with a wry smile and left the ring as the two girls waited for their opportunity at redemption. They closed in on the unsuspecting Tyme as she pulled herself up on the ropes when suddenly 'I Feel the Earth Move' by Shinedown hit the speakers. The fans instantly recognised the music and jumped to their feet at the sight of Blaise Fader as she ran to the ring towards the Shane Sisters. Dakota saw her coming first and turned around into a hard clothesline. Montana was next who was hit with a spinebuster. She rolled out the ring as Dakota climbed to her feet but Fader tossed her over onto the outside with her sister as the crowd went wild. Eryn looked on slightly confused by the whole situation as the fans chanted Fader's name before cutting to a GCW commercial.

As the cameras cut back Cynthia Machado was walking down the hallway towards gorilla when she was met by two familiar faces in Sam Tolson and Lizzie Jones. The three girls embraced looking excited to see one another. Tolson and Jones explained that they were both officially cleared to compete in Hollywood Pro and would make their televised debuts. Jones said she was disappointed not to get the win in the opening battle royal earlier but shrugged it off as a pretty unforgiving task. They both wished Cynthia luck in her match as she pressed on towards the ring while the build up began for the main event.

Jeanette Justice vs. Cynthia Machado

Both wrestlers were greatly received by the California crowd as the commentators gave a rundown of what was at stake. Jeneatte looked pretty fired up compared to the more relaxed Machado who took great pleasure in teasing the crowd. Jeanette, not wanting to be outdone, gave a little something for the fans also, before turning to Cynthia, letting her know that when it came to sex appeal she had met her match. Cynthia smiled and extended her hand for a fist bump as the match got underway. The more experienced Machado dominated the early stages but Justice took control later on with a full nelson slam. As Cynthia quickly climbed to her feet she was met with a hard big boot that seemed to echo round the Long Beach arena. Jeanette was growing in confidence now and refused to let Cynthia regain any sort of momentum but she was helpless to avoid a Sinfully Sweet Kick - Superkick - out of nowhere. Jeanette though remained on her feet, held up by her powerful lower body, and fell up against the turnbuckle. Machado was ready to pounce and tried taking her down with an MMA-style choke hold. Jeanette looked helpless to fight it off at first but mustered up the strength to lift her opponent up into a Swinging Fisherman’s Suplex for the three count!

WINNER AND THROUGH TO THE CALIFORNIA CUP: JEANETTE JUSTICE

Jeanette fell to her knees and pounded the mat with delight knowing she'd defied the odds to represent Hollywood Pro in the California Cup. Cynthia pulled herself to her feet via the ropes and sees JJ celebrating. She makes her way over and raises her arm. The two embrace as Cynthia pulls her in to say ‘the hard work starts now’ and wishes her luck in the tournament before exiting the ring to let Justice have her moment with the fans as the show comes to a close.
