Thought I'd get things going on the OOC front. Simple question, crops up from time to time; how did you get into, or come across, the world of e-Feds?

I found a link to a fed on Yahoo Answers. When I got to the site I had no idea what to do and I was around 12 years old at the time so I wasn't going to read anything. I popped into the XAT box and asked some questions and everyone just told me to make a wrestler, so I did. Took me about a month to realize I needed to "promo" for my matches. Took about a month for me to figure out what that was. Took me a year to write anything coherent. Now I'm here... lol. Years later and I had no idea this would become a hobby that would dictate so much of my free time.

It was a lawless long ago time in the mid to late 90s. My neighbor was into E-fedding and since we were both HUGE wrestling fans he showed me what it was and from then on I have basically been doing this thing since.

Took a couple breaks from time to time to recharge RPing batteries and what not.

I started some time in the 90s. I liked roleplaying online, I liked wrestling, and eventually, I went hunting to see if wrestling RPGs existed. Turns out they did. Feds back then didn't do cross gender matches, and the first fed I joined didn't have a women's title, so I ended up playing a guy. Dime-a-dozen, leather pants vampire Edge/Taker knockoff in a trenchcoat that everybody played at some point in the 90s. I think he had some Papa Roach song as his entrance music, lmao.

There used to be this thing called WebTV. It was like a box top for your TV that had a web browser built in. Well, it also was powered by MSN, and gave access to MSN Groups. I started off with an RP forum that was very similar to an eFed (well, in those days it was) for Dragonball Z. I then moved on to eFedding (this was around '96-97ish?)

I didn't really know what I was getting into, but I knew that I loved professional wrestling then. I was a huge Undertaker mark at the time, so all of my characters were this weird, brooding type that I'm sure everyone played at some point or other.

Back in 2009, two friends that did WWF No Mercy modding invited me to a wrestling forum they were in that had an e-fed in it.

I made a thread saying "what would you like to be if you were a wrestler?", they told me "join this - it's exactly what you're asking".

Around 2004 - 2005 I found this website called “WWE Revamped”. It was hosted on freewebs I believe and I remember the guy who ran it was obsessed with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and every page on the site had a different RHCP song.

I wasn’t really sure what I was doing but I remember reading the rules and I ended up joining as Rob Van Dam. Holy shit were those RP’s bad. Idk how but I won the IC Title and the competitiveness hooked me. I found other feds and I kind of just grew over the years until I found GIW in 2011.

Then, I’ve been following Cody around ever since.

Years ago me and my buddy were talking through MySpace and looking up random wrestling stuff. We came across GFed and went into the site chat to talk wrestling with people. Had no idea what Efedding was so one of the fedheads started talking to us and we joined his fed. He helped us develop our first roleplays and create our characters. We were actually pretty good when we started. He signed us to developmental contracts and had us immediately feud against eachother. It was fun and very competitive. The Fed closed shortly after and we moved on. He didn't get into it like I did.

My original character was a 7 foot tall masked monster who was just released from the mental asylum. His name was Chainz. Generic as hell lol.

I've been hooked since!

In the U.K. there was an info service through the television called teletext. On there was a wrestling page with WWE rumours and website links so I checked one out & signed up as Scott Hall (I think). This was about 1998. From there I was put onto email Feds with AOL which I'd genuinely love to experience again just for nostalgia. Walked away in about 2002 until curiosity brought me back 2 years ago. Was surprised to see the hobby still going strong and how it's evolved. Came across Callum etc over in Galveston Island Wrestling. At the time their CD-style was what I wanted, and the best place to be challenged. Lack of time has pushed me towards Angle Feds since and here we are today.

I'll try and post a similar discussion thread each week to keep things moving in the background. Feel free to post your own suggestions.

I'm kinda old. So my first experience with pretending to be a wrestler was through the play-by-mail game (IWA.) By the way, that game still exists, so if you are really into paying money to do imaginary wrestling, have at it.

Pretty sure I stumbled onto the e-version via some super modern search engine like Webcrawler, I decided to use a character that was a modified version of the guy I did through the mail game: J.C. Novastar. In retrospect the worst character ever but I really thought he was cool since he was created from my own little brain. Thankfully I have evolved into handling characters that are even more stupid.

It was December of '01 and I was on Yahoo chat in a wrestling chat and just talking about wrestling. Someone kept putting link to a fed so I clicked on it and talked to the owner of the fed. My first caw character name was Mama Dog (I was so unoriginal at the time but hey I was 14 years old and was a noob). Had people help me and teach me about how to rp and what not.

I liked it then went on to do other feds and getting better.

I can't exactly pin point the exact date, but I know that in Puerto Rico there's a specialized wrestling page, that has a forum. I always wanted to join it, because there was an open topic section and they'd do random "rumbles" in which each member could throw out someone in a creative way. (I was 13-14 at the time, so it appealed to me)

Long story short, I finally joined the fed and threw a guy out of the rumble and got asked if I wanted to join a page called PRW, I asked for the link and for what it was... the answer I got was that it was a "Fantasy" (mind you in Spanish Speaking countries the term e-fed is not known and they're either Wrestling Fantasy or Simulations)... I joined there and my first character was named "Hell's Angel" (continuing the trend of 13-14 year old being original LOL).

Fast forward a couple of years and I started asking myself if there was anything like that, but in English, as a Spanish speaking person I wanted to challenge myself a bit (I studied Spanish and Literature in College, so I have control over the language and dominated most of the Spanish "Wrestling Fantasy/Wrestling Simulation" places I was put in). So I discovered a place called Fusion Championship Wretling and there I created my first "English" e-fed character... and the rest, as they say... is history.

PD: I've never gone back to Spanish boards, they... they don't use CAW :)

Let's see I wanna say it was in middle school, but I actually started off in AOL chats lol. I don't exactly remember how I got to it...I think I searched WWE and different chats came up. It wasn't very descriptive or anything. People usually played as the currents wrestlers and there may have been some CAWs. I met some cool people there and after while I guess the chats slowly died and I'd get emails of links of people telling me to join the Feds and it was like a whole new world. Since then I've been kinda addicted
