WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARFARE 4

LIVE FROM THE MODA CENTER – PORTLAND, OR
WEDNESDAY – AUGUST 2, 2017

The show begins with the opening video package and pyro, but shortly after the newly crowned PNW Champion, Liam Callaghan, makes his way down to the ring. The crowd gives him a great positive reaction as he steps inside and grabs a microphone. Callaghan begins his promo by telling everyone how thankful he is that they have rallied behind him over the last week, despite the strange circumstances surrounding the PNW Championship. He says that Blanche Patton is eager to move on from the Arcane fiasco, but as far as he’s concerned, Arcane has just as much right to call himself a champion as he does. Liam says that he wanted to go to Rebellion Pro last week, but after the attack from Konstantine he was told that he couldn’t. But Arcane is still at the top of his list, and Callaghan believes that if Arcane wants to be a real champion, he should come and defend the title here in PNW next week so that they can be unified. The crowd pops big for this, and Liam makes it official. He is calling out Arcane next week to kick off the show, and he is expecting an answer. The crowd turns sour when Konstantine’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.

Konstantine stops halfway down the ramp and begins to speak to Liam. He says that Arcane won’t show up because he is a coward who would rather hold the championship than fight for it. He says Liam knows this, and by calling out someone who he knows won’t show up, Liam is just as much of a coward. Konstantine climbs into the ring and comes face to face with Liam. Konstantine says that Arcane is a distant threat, and that he is the real boogieman. And if Liam Callaghan is a man, and not a boy, he would try to get revenge for the attack last week.

Callaghan says that he hasn’t forgot about Konstantine, and that he isn’t afraid of the brooding and the makeup. Callaghan says that under all of it is just a man who has been beaten before, and can be beaten again. He says that Konstantine showed his true colors last week when he decided to jump a man who had just been through a war. Konstantine smiles and says yes, those are his true colors, and that kind of behavior is going to get him a championship.

Tugg Porter’s music hits and he makes his way onto the stage. Tugg says that he is proud of Liam for challenging Arcane next week and hopes that the Brit will fly over and accept the challenge. But, he says, if no one shows up, Konstantine can have his match for the PNW Championship. Tugg says that is the best he can do to get the two men out of the ring so the show can start. There is a staredown between Konstantine and Liam Callaghan as we fade to commercial.

Alex & Sansa Madsen vs. Luke Bane & The Badd Breed

Our first match of the night is one that has been brewing for a long time. Alex and Sansa Madsen have elected to give up their numbers game to take on Luke Bane and The Badd Breed in this handicap match. The bell rings and Alex Madsen starts off against Luke Bane, the showdown that we all want to see. The two start off brawling and no one gets the edge, but after a massive European uppercut Madsen has Bane on his heels. They move into the corner and Madsen tries for a superplex, but it backfires and Bane is able to push him down. As soon as Madsen gets to his feet, Bane launches himself off of the top with an axehandle that connects. 1…2…KICKOUT. Bane moved outside the ring to grab a weapon, ready to finish off his rival, but The Badd Breed caught him and explained that it wasn’t the right way to go. Alex used the time to make a tag to Sansa. Valiente Dark is tagged in and the two meet in the middle. Sansa is fired up and is able to take him down with some hard lariats and forearms. She regains control of the match until Dark is able to connect with a springboard high knee that catches Madsen right under the jaw. Stunned, she is covered. 1…2…KICKOUT. But it was really close. The match proceeds with Mr. Misery getting the tag, and after a while it seems like the numbers game is beginning to wear down the Madsens, as everyone knew it would.

When Alex finally made his way back into the ring, Luke Bane stood across from him as the legal man. Madsen tried to keep things slow, wearing down Bane instead of going right for the kill, but Bane is way too amped up to let that happen. He starts brawling with closed fists to the point that the referee wants to disqualify him. The Badd Breed once again have to step in to calm Bane down, and it once again allows Sansa to come in. Sansa takes Bane down and is able to control him with focused strikes, followed by a neckbreaker and a two count. She connected with Blacking Out, the somersault cutter, on Luke Bane and the match was over, until Mr. Misery broke up the pin. Sansa was furious, scratching and clawing at Misery until Dark came in to pull her away. This was the perfect opportunity to strike, with Alex Madsen rushing forward and connecting with Peace of Mind, a jumping cutter, to Dark. Misery was on his feet and he nailed Alex with a roundhouse kick that caught him right on the side of the head. Madsen turned around right into Bane’s patented DDT. Bane rolled him over and hooked the leg. 1…2…3! That’s it! Clearly Bane wanted to do more, but The Badd Breed pulled him off before something bad could happen. Alex and Sansa Madsen rolled out of the ring frustrated that this didn’t go their way.

WINNERS: LUKE BANE & THE BADD BREED

As the camera came up we see the back of the Moda Center in the city of Portland. The hot crowd could be heard as we cut to the large woman know as Rose who was working on getting ready for her match when she along with nine other women would be facing off to see who would make history and become the first ever Pacific Northwest Wrestling women’s champion! As she got ready we cut to her manager Michelle Watson looking on at the camera.

MICHELLE WATSON:
“You know I am going to admit that things have not gone how we would have liked here in CWC. We had put the work and we have tried to show that we can compete with the best but sadly the breaks haven’t happened.”

Rose looked at Michelle who just smiled.

MICHELLE WATSON:
“However tonight we know that despite this. Rose is heading into this match with the tag of favourite around her. Why? It’s simple it’s the same reason that the late great Andre The Giant were always expected to win a battle royal because he is simply put bigger then anyone in the match so it means that you have to work harder to get that bigger size over the top rope and forced this big body out.”

Rose then flexed her bicep at the camera as Michelle looked on pleased at what she saw.

MICHELLE WATSON:
“Now we know this is going to happen that every one of those nine women in this match will put a bullseye on Rose but you know what it’s doesn’t matter because Rose has been working on making sure she can go dead weight when she is near the ropes and she has also been working on making sure her grip is vice like so if she is started to be flipped over she can hold on to stay in it.”

Rose then looked at Michelle one time.

MICHELLE WATSON:
“At the end of the day we see this is going to be hard and there will some who maybe wonder why we are even in the match but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if it’s one, two or all nine that get tossed by Rose no one is going to stop her from walking out of that ring the new Pacific Northwest Wrestling women’s champion!”

Rose then looked at the camera and it was a rare time she spoke.

ROSE:
“Tonight I win the belt it’s that simple!”

With that Michelle and Rose walked off as they did this the camera cut back to ringside.

Ben Kingsley vs. Dillon Taylor

Before the match begins, Ben Kingsley is out with Mia Miley and receives a great reaction from the hometown crowd. He says that wrestling in the Pacific Northwest belongs in Portland, and when he gets what he deserves and becomes the PNW Champion, he is going to make sure that the company stays here. Dillon Taylor is out to a surprising amount of boos and the match begins. Kingsley starts off the match hot, but Dillon is able to fight his way back into control. He tries for Taylor Made, a spear, but it misses and gives Kingsley all that he needs to get the match back on his side. Kingsley connects with a sitout spinebuster and goes for the pin. 1…2…KICKOUT. He is shocked and furious that Taylor didn’t just stay down for him in a homecoming match. Kingsley took time to argue with the referee, which allowed Mia Miley to jump onto the ropes and club Dillon from behind. Dillon turned around to talk some smack and Kingsley went in for the kill. He tried for the Rose City Kiss, but Dillion fought his way out and caught him with a dropkick. Taylor once again moved to the corner to try for Taylor Made, but he charged again and met a boot to the face from Kingsley. It didn’t take long for Kingsley to get himself straight and move in for the kill. He lifted Taylor up and connected with the Rip City Tide, a gutwrench sitout powerbomb. 1…2…3! That was it! Kingsley left the ring with an impressive win over Dillon Taylor and a great reaction from the hometown crowd.

WINNER: Ben Kingsley

In the back, we see Sansa Madsen walking through the hallways alone, holding her neck. She is approached by the owner of Pacific Northwest Wrestling, Blanche Patton, who has a frustrated look on her face. She tells Sansa that it was stupid to give up a shot at the Women’s Championship to help her husband, and it became even worse when they didn’t even win the match. Sansa rolled her eyes and tried to walk away, but Blanche stopped her. She said that a woman’s place is not to fight battles with their husbands. She says Alex was wrong to make her fight with him. Sansa says it was her decision, and she would make it again in a heartbeat. After all, family comes first. She exits the scene, leaving Blanche even more frustrated, before we cut to commercial break.

Gear Gamma vs. Mack Brody vs. Xavier Oswald

This match may be a three way match, but the teams that these wrestlers fight for are in a dead heat with the PNW Tag Team Championships hanging in the balance. We start things off with Xavier Oswald and Mack Brody double teaming Gear Gamma in an effort to get him out of the match. At the very least, they send him out of the ring and then proceed to brawl. Brody gets the better of Oswald in this exchange, levelling him with a snap suplex. Brody continues to keep control until Gamma made his way back into the match, and then it is a brutal beatdown. Brody is pinned in the corner, taking shots from Gamma, when Oswald comes up from behind trying for a german suplex. Gamma fights him off and tosses him out of the ring. The status quo continues until Oswald slips back into the ring and he partners up with Brody to take down Gamma with a high and low, legsweep and lariat combo. They spend a good amount of time working over the legs and arms of Gamma at the same time until Mack Brody backstabs Xavier Oswald and plants him with a double A spinebuster. He goes for the pin. 1…2…KICKOUT. Brody goes for a pumphandle slam, but Oswald fights his way out of it. He charges Brody but Brody drops the top rope and sends him over the top. Proud of himself, Brody takes a moment to gloat. He turns around and finds himself right in the paws of Gear Gamma. A chokeslam connects! Gear Gamma goes for the pin. 1…2…3! That’s it, and just like that, The Gear Society have put themselves in the mix for the tag team championships.

WINNER: GEAR GAMMA

Caleb Adams vs. Jackson Fleck

In the next match, Jackson Fleck is seeking revenge on Caleb Adams after a low blow cost him a win a tag team match last week. From the get-go, Fleck is out ahead of Adams, using his power to take control of the match. We’ve seen it before, but Adams ducked out of the ring to buy himself some time and a chance to grab the upperhand. It worked when he caught Fleck leaving the ring with a high knee. For a while Adams utilized a series of standing submissions and kicks to keep Fleck down. The crowd was getting behind Fleck at this point and he used that energy to rally back into the match. He took Adams down with a series of lariats and then a scoop slam. He tried to lock in Bro-tal Recall, a camel clutch, but Adams got crafty and raked the eyes to slow down Fleck. It was successful for a while, and a northern lights suplex netted a two count for Adams. He kept control of this back and forth match once again and Fleck managed to power out of a headlock and slam Adams to the mat with a samoan drop. Flex continued to set Adams down with a series of shoulder blocks, and a few nearfalls around the way. Finally, he locked Adams in the full nelson and then slammed him down, connecting with #FlexFriday! He didn’t waste any time before the cover. 1…2…3! That’s it! Fleck picked up the victory, and Caleb Adams made his way up the ramp with a nasty look on his face.

WINNER: JACKSON FLECK
