LEGACY 8 - I LOVE THIS GAME

LIVE FROM DIFFER ARIAKE, TOKYO, JAPAN
TUESDAY - AUGUST 8, 2017

#1 CONTENDERSHIP - RISING SUN CHAMPIONSHIP
MAIN EVENT - SINGLES MATCH
MASON WOLFE vs. BIG BANTER
This match was set up at the end of Legacy #7, when Mason Wolfe staked claim to being the number one contender. However, Big Banter had a difference in opinion, as he believes that he has a legitimate claim to be deserving of a Rising Sun Championship opportunity. The two men decided to settle it in the ring, and the powers that be have sanctioned the match. Mason Wolfe and Big Banter will meet, and the winner will go onto face Hirokai Yokoza for the Rising Sun Championship at CWC Worldwide.

MATCH FOUR - HANDICAP/SINGLES MATCH
ALEKS BERZINS and/or ALISA RUTSKAYA vs. ESSENCE
Last week, Aleks Berzins and Alisa Rutskaya announced an alliance of sorts. When invited down to the ring by Essence, however, they refused, stating that they will only fight her when they’re ready. Well, they’re ready this week. But they will be fighting on their own terms, as only they know which of them, or even both of them, will be taking on the Gaijins Champion. A victory for the women would be huge, as it would propel them straight into title contention. And without a number one contender in place, they could put themselves at the front of the queue.

MATCH THREE - SINGLES MATCH
DOM WOLFE vs. JESSY TURNER
Dom Wolfe has been making a name for himself ever since arriving in Japan, but last week he stuck his nose in where it didn’t belong. A brief distraction cost Mark Storm his match against Hirokai Yokoza, and possibly an opportunity at the Rising Sun Championship. Dom Wolfe will obviously be intent on making an example out of his opponent this week, but Mark Storm is certain to be watching closeby, so this may not be quite as easy for Dom as it would appear on paper.

MATCH TWO - SINGLES MATCH
YURI JIGOKU vs. DABRIA RHODES
Yuri Jigoku came so close to winning the Rising Sun Championship, but came up short. Now he has to start from square one again, but he’s shown once before that he is more than capable of climbing his way up the ladder. He has the perfect opportunity to take another stride towards perhaps another opportunity in the future, but he won’t have it all his own way against a plucky Dabria Rhodes. Rhodes had a good showing at Legacy of the Gaijins, and has been quite the underdog since she made her début. Can she pull of an upset here, or will the veteran emerge victorious?

WINNER RECEIVES A CWC JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OPPORTUNITY
MATCH ONE - FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH
TADASHI vs. KENJI MASARU vs. MARK STORM vs. HIROTO
With CWC Worldwide coming up, CWC Japan: Legacy have secured the right to send somebody to challenge for the CWC Junior Heavyweight Championship. However, rather than hand picking somebody for the honour, we’ve decided to have them compete to earn the opportunity. These are four of the greatest junior heavyweights in the world, so you can bet that they will all be vying for the opportunity at CWC gold!

Who attacked Mr. Blobby?!
Sasori Saito issues an open challenge.
There is supposedly some news regarding a third Japan: Legacy Championship!

LEGACY 8 - I LOVE THIS GAME

LIVE FROM DIFFER ARIAKE, TOKYO, JAPAN
TUESDAY - AUGUST 8, 2017

The show fades into Austin Craddocks office, where he is standing by with a Championship over his shoulder. He beams with pride as she speaks into the camera, informing the viewers that the rumours are true. There is indeed a third singles Championship in CWC Japan: Legacy. The Japan Openweight Championship is exactly how it sounds. It is to be contested for by the top talent in Japan: Legacy, and has absolutely no weight restrictions. However, it has the unique distinction in that if a Champion is able to reach five successful defences, they can cash their reign in for an opportunity for the Rising Sun Championship at a show of their choosing. However, this comes with a catch. Anyone who is able, and chooses to cash-in their reign will no longer be able to compete for the Japan Openweight Championship. Under any circumstances.

WINNER RECEIVES A CWC JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OPPORTUNITY
MATCH ONE
TADASHI vs. KENJI MASARU vs. MARK STORM vs. HIROTO

With the four competitors in the ring, the match was ready to begin. The four men circle round the ring, all looking to leave with the golden opportunity. Kenji Masaru goes straight for a leaner looking Mark Storm, while TADASHI and Hiroto exchange blows. The four men quickly end up meeting in the middle, and end up swapping sparring partners. Mark Storm and TADASHI go at it, while the brawl between Kenji Masaru and Hiroto spills to the outside. This leaves Storm with TADASHI, and he’s able to gain the upperhand. Storm takes him down with a butterfly suplex, immediately transitioning into an armbar. He has it locked in for only a few seconds, as TADASHI pulls himself towards the bottom rope to force the break. Mark Storm lets go and waits for TADASHI to get to his feet. As soon as he does, Storm charges towards him. But TADASHI is quick to react, catching him by surprise with a Yakuza kick. He goes for a quick cover. 1...2...KICKOUT!

Both men get to their feet once more. Meanwhile, Kenji Masaru and Hiroto continue to exchange blows on the outside. Neither man seems to be capable of gaining the upperhand, until Hiroto shoves Kenji against the ring post before throwing him into the ring. This gives Hiroto a small window of opportunity, which he uses to catch his breath. Mark Storm whips TADASHI in the ropes, but TADASHI holds onto them rather than rebounding back. Storm charges at him and a running clothesline sends both men tumbling over the top rope. Hiroto tries to move out of the way, but he gets caught in the pile up and the three men are down on the outside of the ring. Kenji Masaru reaches his feet, but he’s not on them for long. Immediately, he runs into the ropes, rebounds off them and jumps over the top rope on the opposite side of the ring. A suicide dive takes all three men down, and Kenji Masaru yells to pander to the crowd. Kenji rolls Mark Storm into the ring, looking to capitalise. He climbs to the top rope and connects with a diving headbut, which causes Mark Storm to immediately clutch at his chest.

Masaru keeps on Storm, using his speed to mount multiple attacks in quick succession. After wearing down his opponent, he pulls Mark Storm up and plants him with an inverted suplex. He climbs to the top rope and, just as he seems to be readying himself to take off, Hiroto leaps up and shoves him forwards. Yuri collapses in a heap, and Hiroto uses this as an opening to take control. He kicks Yuri’s body out of the ring, before turning to Mark Storm. Storm pulls himself to his feet and stumbles backwards, right into the path of Hiroto. Hiroto hoists him up into the air and slams him back down with a German suplex. 1...2...KICKOUT!

TADASHI re-enters the fray, and immediately takes the fight to Hiroto. He locks in a Dragon sleeper, which Hiroto desperately tries to fight out of. But just as it seems as though Hiroto is beginning to fade, Mark Storm is back to his feet. He delivers a boot to the back of TADASHI, causing him to break the hold instantly. TADASHI gets to his feet, and he and Storm begin to go at it, blow for blow. With neither man able to gain the upperhand, their parity is put to an end as Hiroto drops both men with a spinning heel kick. But before he can capitalise, Kenji Masaru drops him with a springboard stunner, seemingly coming out of nowhere. 1...2...KICKOUT!

Kenji jumps to his feet, filled with almost a second wind. TADASHI runs at him, trying to take him down with a lariat. But Kenji is easily able to duck out of dodge, and when TADASHI turns around, Kenji drops him with a Pele kick. Mark Storm then charges at him, but Kenji manages to dodge him also. However, he isn’t prepared for Hiroto to spring into action, sending him halfway across the ring with a German suplex. TADASHI is back to his feet at this point, and he drops Hiroto with a Yakuza kick. However, Mark Storm approaches from behind. He lifts TADASHI onto his shoulders and drops him with his “Dystopia” finisher. 1...2...3!

Winner: Mark Storm (Time: 17:45)

Sasori Saito is in the ring, ready to issue her open challenge. Beforehand, however, she wants to make it clear once more that she is disgusted by how the foreigners are ruining the legacy of Japanese professional wrestling, and that she is not going to stand for it any longer. She then invites any “filthy gaijin” in the back to come out and face her, but to her surprise her challenge is accepted by Blazing KISUKE. KISUKE enters the ring, but Sasori Saito cuts him off. She berates him, calling him stupid, deaf or both. He isn’t a gaijin, and therefore this makes him ineligible for her open challenge. Blazing laughs at this, before pointing out that being ineligible didn’t stop her from entering the Legacy of the Gaijins tournament. Unable to offer up a response, Sasori Saito mutters something in Japanese and exits the ring, to the disapproval of the crowd. Blazing KISUKE shakes his head in disappointment, as he was obviously ready for a fight.

MATCH TWO
YURI JIGOKU vs. DABRIA RHODES

The two begin the match with a lockup, which Yuri transitions into a side headlock and takes Rhodes down to the canvas, keeping the headlock applied. Rhodes breaks free by connecting with a head scissors lock, but Yuri kips up out of it and goes for a quick kick, but Rhodes falls back and traps the legs, executing a nice takedown. She gets back to her feet and quickly hits an elbow drop onto Yuri. She attempts an early cover, but Yuri is able to kick out at one. Rhodes allows Yuri to get to his feet before attempting a standing drop kick, but Yuri pushes her to the side, effectively moving out of the way. Yuri hits Rhodes with a Japanese uppercut, and follows it up with a sequence of knife edge chops before he hits a fisherman’s suplex! He goes for the cover, and Rhodes kicks out at two. Yuri locks in an anaconda vice, but Rhodes gets to the ropes almost immediately, forcing Yuri to break the hold. Yuri picks Rhodes up and once again hits a few knife edge chops, forcing Rhodes into the corner. He tells the crowd to shush as he goes for another chop, but Rhodes ducks out of the corner and begins hitting chops of her own. She runs to the opposite side and quickly runs back, connecting with a nice clothesline, forcing Yuri to stagger out of the corner. This allows Rhodes to hit him with a standing dropkick! She hooks the leg, but Yuri kicks out at two! Rhodes slaps the mat out of anger before she picks Yuri up and slaps him right across the face. She regrets it almost instantly as she sees it simply angered Yuri, she runs and Yuri follows her. She slides out of the ring, Yuri follows but Rhodes is quick to get back into the ring, and as soon as Yuri does, she hits him with a superkick! She makes the cover, but Yuri barely kicks out before the three! Rhodes can’t believe her plan didn’t work to perfection, so it’s time for plan B. She brings Yuri to his feet and hits him with a spinning Russian leg sweep. Rhodes makes her way to the top rope, signalling for the end of the match. Rhodes goes for the 450 splash, but Yuri moves out of the way! Yuri locks in the "Nihon Chōku", and Rhodes has no choice but to tap out!

Winner: Yuri Jigoku (Time: 10:21)

The scene cuts backstage to Austin Craddock, whose demeanor has changed entirely. He reminds everyone that Mr. Blobby was assaulted last week and how he vowed to unveil who attacked him. But he’s not been able to find any clues which will lead him to the attacker, so will require more time. He tries to claim that whoever is responsible for the attack will face serious consequences, but that is when Oculta Santos enters the scene. He tells Austin to stop looking for Mr. Blobby’s attacker, because it just goes to prove Sasori Saito is right. It’s making a mockery of the company, and that’s why HE attacked Mr. Blobby. He’s sick of being overlooked for breakfast eating freaks and sock lovers - a guest appearance from Mr. Blobby was the final straw for him. He promises that he will keep attacking people on a weekly basis until he gets what he deserves: opportunities. Austin says that if he wants opportunities, he is going completely the wrong way about it. However, he is willing to give him one. Next week, Oculta Santos will have the chance to earn his way into the Japan Openweight Championship match. However, it isn’t going to be easy. He is going to have the odds stacked against him.

MATCH THREE
DOM WOLFE vs. JESSY TURNER

Dom has been complaining over the past few weeks over being left off the card, but tonight he is back in action and has the chance to prove why he deserves to be given the chance to showcase his talents every single week. Meanwhile, Jessy Turner has the chance to make a name for herself. The bell rings and the two competitors start off in a lock-up, though it isn’t much of a contest in truth. Dom Wolfe easily overpowers Jessy Turner, wearing her down before throwing her into the ropes. She comes rebounding at him, running straight into a bicycle kick. Jessy goes down holding her face, but it isn’t long until she is back up again. At this point, Dom starts to unload on her with a series of quick strikes. Putting his Muay Thai background to good use, he wears her down before throwing her into the ropes again. This time though, when she rebounds, he connects with a superkick, right on the chin. He wastes no time, dropping down to make the cover. 1...2...KICKOUT!

Frustrated, Dom gets to his feet. With a huff, he boots the downed Jessy in the stomach, keeping her down for a little bit longer. He climbs to the top rope, knowing that he has Jessy right where he wants her. He stands up, raising his arms to aggravate the crowd. This momentary lapse of concentration may have cost him though, as when he leaps off to connect with a corkscrew shooting star press, Jessy is able to roll out of harm’s way. Dom is on his knees, clutching at his stomach. Jessy Turner runs in and connects with a shining wizard. She then drops her elbow onto his stomach, causing him to sit up and massage his abdomen once again. He gets to his feet and charges at Jessy, enraged. She throws him over her shoulder with a judo toss, but it doesn’t keep him down for long. As a matter of fact, he’s back up almost immediately. Even more annoyed, he runs at her again. He things he has her outsmarted when she’s unable to judo toss him again, But it’s Jessy who has the last laugh, as she leaps to shove Dom backwards into the ropes with a front dropkick. He rebounds and walks straight into Turner once more, who takes him down with a bicycle kick, immediately followed by a leaping clothesline. As Wolfe drops to the mat, she wastes no time in going for the cover. 1...2...KICKOUT!

Jessy pulls Dom to his feet and wraps her arms around his waist, fully intending on hitting a bridging German suplex. But Dom stands his ground, refusing to budge. Jessy tries to lift him again, but it has the same result. He stamps on her foot, and she immediately releases her grip. Without bothering to turn around, a frustrated Dom Wolfe drops her with a Pele kick. Once she gets up, he knocks her down again with a bicycle kick. Dom is intent on punishing Jessy at this point, wanting to send a message. Eventually though, he howls like a wolf. As Jessy starts to make it to her feet, Dom charges at her and nails her with “The Wolfe’s Howl”, knocking her out cold. He makes the cover. 1...2...3!

Winner: Dom Wolfe (Time: 14:37)

Dom Wolfe was walking backstage, just coming off of a victory over Jessy Turner. As he almost made it to his locker room, his girlfriend, Rayven Hardy, cut him off and grabbed him for a tight hug.

Dom Wolfe: Hey you! You surprised me!

Rayven Hardy: I'm just full of surprises aren't I?

The 19 year old rookie wrestler unwrapped her arms from around Dom, wearing a smile.

Rayven Hardy: You killed it out there, I'm so proud of you. Definitely worth the trip. As tired as I am, I think I'm in the mood to celebrate, are you game?

Dom smiled and nodded.

Dom Wolfe: You know what? I think we both deserve to celebrate after the last few days. But before we do, do you mind if I say one thing to this bloody camera that's following us?

Rayven Hardy: Oh...I didn't even notice.

The wrestler turned movie star turned to the camera and waved.

Rayven Hardy: Hi camera! Loving the show tonight!

Rayven linked her arm in Dom's and turned her head to him, giving him the spotlight.

Dom Wolfe: I just wanted to say, that I hope that twat Mark Storm was watching tonight. The match he got over on me a few weeks ago? It was luck and that's why he lost in the Gaijin Tournament after he beat me, because he got lucky.

Dom narrowed his gaze on the camera.

Dom Wolfe: So watch your back, Mark. Stay out of my way because Legacy is mine for the taking. Another thing, you're no bloody hero. You're not mine, you're not Rayven's over here, and you’re nobody else's. You're just a delusional arse.

A smile then ran over Dom's face as he looked over at Rayven.

Dom Wolfe: You ready to go celebrate, love?

Rayven Hardy: Definitely!

Hardy unlinked her arm from Dom's and blew a kiss to the camera, waving once more towards the fans, most of which probably knew the rookie. Dom simply laughed before wrapping his arm around Rayven's shoulder and the pair walked away from the scene.

Before the next match can begin, Aleks Berzins grabs hold of a microphone and expresses her apologies. Her and Alisa have been talking all week, and at one point nearly came to blows. But they’ve just been unable to decide on which one of them gets to take on Essence tonight, as they both desperately want the opportunity to beat her and prove that she’s an unworthy Gaijins Champion. So, because they can’t decide on one, they have no point but to make this a handicap match. Essence is undeterred by this, as it gives her the opportunity to beat both of them at once.

MATCH FOUR
ALEKS BERZINS and ALISA RUTSKAYA vs. ESSENCE

The match begins, and Aleks Berzins allows Alisa Rutskaya to start things off for their team. Essence is straight on her, delivering a European uppercut that drops Alisa immediately. Alisa tries to scurry away, but essence doesn’t let her. She can be heard yelling “COME BACK HERE ALICE” as she drags Alisa by the ankle, back towards the middle of the ring. Alisa tries to kick her away, but Essence has been waiting to get her hands on her. She locks in a Boston crab, taking great pride in hearing the screams of Alisa. She winces in pain, trying desperately to make it to the bottom rope. But Essence decides to break the hold voluntarily, not satisfied with her work. She yanks Rutskaya to her feet and connects with a discus elbow smash, which sends her to the mat. She then pulls Alisa to her feet again and literally flings her across the ring, in the direction of her partner. Aleks stares at Essence, who just blows her a kiss.

Reluctantly, Aleks tags into the match. She approaches Essence with caution, but when she tries to get the first move in, Essence immediately drops her with a double knee lift. Aleks gets back to her feet and tries to charge at Essence, but this doesn’t work either. She just walks into a clothesline, and Essence just laughs at her. Realising that nothing she is trying is working, Aleks adopts a different approach. This time, she lets Essence charge at her. This gives her some success, as she is able to deliver a stinging slap across the face of Essence. She then takes her down with a hair-pull mat slam, before following up with an elbow drop. She tries for a cover. 1...2...KICKOUT!

Essence kicks out with ease and pulls herself to her feet, not too happy with herself for allowing Aleks Berzins to have gotten some offence in. It doesn’t matter though, as she’s quick to regain the upperhand. Aleks allows Essence to approach her again, but before she can counter, Essence grabs hold of her and hoists her into the air, launching her across the ring. Essence pulls her up and forces her into the corner, pressing her face against the padding. She doesn’t notice Alisa Rutskaya tap her hand against Aleks’ shoulder, making her the legal woman. Essence throws Berzins into the middle of the ring and locks in her am trap seated cloverleaf finisher, and takes great delight in hearing Aleks’ hand slap against the canvas repeatedly. But, just as she thinks she has won, Rutskaya is in the ring to break the bad news to her. She drops Essence with her “From Russia With Love” spinebuster finisher, catching her totally unaware. She hooks her leg. 1...2...3! Alisa Rutskaya has pinned the Gaijin Champion!

Winner: Aleks Berzins and Alisa Rustskaya (Time: 08:11)

After the match, Alisa Rutskaya scoops the unconscious Aleks Berzins up from the mat and drapes her over her shoulder. She celebrates their victory as though she’d just scored the winning goal in the World Cup final. Essence starts to come to, and when she realises what has happened, she stares daggers into Rutskaya.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP - RISING SUN CHAMPIONSHIP
MAIN EVENT
MASON WOLFE vs. BIG BANTER

Before the match begins, both Mason and Big Banter get in each other’s faces, trash talking. We can’t exactly make out what they are saying to each, but we’re sure Big Banter is probably talking about some sort of breakfast. They go head to head before the referee steps in between both men and officially starts the contest. They start with the standard collar and elbow tie up, but being the bigger of the two, Big Banter shoves Mason to the corner – Mason looks in shock, as Big Banter taunts him, telling him to “bring it”. Mason runs towards him, but Big Banter hits him with a stiff clothesline, and immediately hits him with another as he gets to his feet. Mason makes his way back to a vertical base, but Big Banter wastes no time continue the attack, as he Irish whips Mason into the corner, he quickly follows behind with a devastating clothesline before beginning a barrage of elbow strikes right to the face of Mason Wolfe! The referee gets in between them to stop the attack, making sure this match does not end on a disqualification. As Big Banter steps away, Mason quickly hits a low dropkick right to the knee of the Big Banter, sending the big man down to the canvas! Mason gets on top of Big Banter and begins to pummel him with stiff forearm shots right to the temple. Mason stops his attack to taunt the crowd. He slowly picks Banter up by the hair before connecting with a front facelock STO! He makes the cover, but can only find the two count as Banter gets his shoulder up in time!

Mason starts to stomp away at the downed Big Banter, before he locks in a side headlock. Big Banter is able to counter it however, as he brings himself and Mason to their feet. He bounces Mason off the ropes, forcing him to break the hold. He attempts the “Big Banter Boot!”, but Mason ducks underneath it, and instead, Big Banter manages to hit a “Deep Six” on the rebound! He makes the cover, but Mason kicks out at two! Big Banter hits him with a stiff right hand, he runs off the ropes and is heading right towards Mason, but Mason stops him dead in his tracks with a nice superkick! He opts not to go for the cover, and instead, has applied a bridging arm triangle choke! Big Banter manages to crawl his way to the ropes, which forces Mason to break the hold. Mason allows Big Banter to get to his feet, and as soon as he does, he rushes towards him, going for a running knee smash, but Big Banter had it well scouted as he backdrops Mason to the outside of the ring, however, Mason has landed on the apron – he quickly drops to the floor and takes Big Banter’s feet out from under him and dragging him to the outside.

With both men outside of the ring, Mason drives Big Banter back first into the ring apron. Mason doesn’t allow Big Banter to fall to the floor – he catches him and drags him over to the barricade. Once again, Mason drives him back first, and follows it up with a flurry of strikes before bouncing his head off the barricade. Mason takes time to argue with a fan in the front row, before spilling his drink all over him. This slight distraction has allowed Big Banter to get his bearings as he hits a running forearm smash to the back of Mason, causing “The Alpha Wolf” to hit the barricade rib first. Big Banter launches him into the ring post before sliding back into the ring, and then back out in order to break the referee’s twenty count. As Big Banter picks Mason up, he pushes out of his grasp and hits Big Banter with a discus elbow smash. Mason gets onto the apron, and slowly drags the big man up with him. He has Big Banter locked up, it appears he’s going for the “Paralyzer”, but Big Banter is fighting his way out of it. Big Banter counters Mason’s attempts at the move, and he’s now attempting his own version of the “Paralyzer”, but Mason hits him with knees to the head to escape! Mason kicks Big Banter in the knee, and somehow manages to get the 275 pounder up for the “Paralyzer!”.

Mason rolls Big Banter off the apron and into the ring, and quickly hooks the inside leg, but he can only manage to get two! Mason is pleading with the official that it was a three, but he waves him off with a two symbol. A frustrated Mason starts slapping Big Banter, yelling at him to give up. He drags him to his feet, setting up for “Hollow Point”, but Big Banter hits him in the mid-section a few times, which in turn, causes Mason to release him, and allows the big man to hit him with the “Special K!”, he makes the cover, but Mason gets his foot on the bottom rope at the last possible second! Big Banter cannot believe it! Mason slowly gets back to his feet, meanwhile Big Banter is lying in wait in the corner, begging for him to turn around. As he does, he runs towards him, going for the “Big Banter Boot” yet again, and Mason, once again, ducks out of the way and hits “The Killshot!” Mason covers him, but Big Banter somehow manages to get his foot on the bottom rope at two and three quarters! A very frustrated Mason begins arguing with the referee, telling him off and yelling things we can’t repeat here folks!

Wait a second, Oculta Da Silva has just entered the ring, the referee can’t see what’s going on behind his back! He hits Big Banter with the “Akuma Hakai Driver!” and gets out of dodge! Mason quickly runs over to Big Banter….he hooks both legs, and he gets the three count! Mason Wolfe is going to Worldwide!

Winner: Mason Wolfe (Time: 17:38)

As Mason Wolfe celebrates his victory, Hirokai Yokoza appears at the top of the stage. He has the Rising Sun Championship draped over his shoulder, which becomes the focal point of the cameras. Mason Wolfe motions the title around his waist with his fingers, to which Yokoza responds by lifting the title above his head. The show closes on this image.
