WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARFARE 5
LIVE FROM THE MATTHEW KNIGHT ARENA – EUGENE, OR WEDNESDAY – AUGUST 9, 2017
After the opening video package, Liam Callaghan wastes no time before making his way down to the ring. On the mic he says that right now there are two PNW Champions and they both have strong claims to the belt. Callaghan admits that this isn’t what he envisioned when he became champion, but Arcane’s cowardice left PNW with no other choice. They aren’t going to roll over and let someone hold their top belt hostage. He says that he has begged Blanche Patton and Tugg Porter for the permission to head over to Rebellion and stick a boot in Arcane’s face, but to this point they haven’t let him. He says he is tired of waiting and if Arcane doesn’t come out here tonight, he’ll make the trip over there no matter the consequences. He is interrupted by Konstantine’s music.
Konstantine makes his way down the ramp and reminds Callaghan that if Arcane doesn’t show up, he gets the title shot tonight. Konstantine says that Callaghan talks a big game, but he is just as much of a coward as Arcane is. If he was in Liam’s position, Konstantine would have gone to Rebellion without asking. But he says that Arcane won’t be here tonight because he is too much of a coward to show up. There’s nothing in it for him. Everyone knows he’s the real champion, and the belt that Callaghan is walking around with is just a toy. Liam fires back, asking Konstantine why he wants a toy belt so badly. Konstantine says it isn’t about the belt, it’s about putting kids who want to play childish games in their place. He says that titles mean nothing to him, but if he became PNW Champion he’d be able to flex his muscle more than he already can. That toy belt is his best chance to make an impact.
Their staredown is broken up by Arcane’s music. Nothing happens for a few moments, and the crowd, although shocked, is suddenly starting to suspect that it’s just another mind game on the part of Arcane. Konstatine and Liam Callaghan wait in the ring for something to happen, and then finally Arcane steps through the curtain with the original PNW Championship over his shoulder. The crowd pops for him and he takes a microphone to begin speaking from the ramp.
Arcane says that there is so much talk about him being a coward, and yet here he is. He wasn’t cowardly enough to roll over when he walked into a hostile territory to fight for their title, even though he knew the odds would be stacked against him. He wasn’t cowardly enough to hide from PNW, instead he invited anyone to show up to Rebellion, but they didn’t. And now, he wasn’t cowardly to duck a fight when he was offered one. Liam is getting ready for a fight, but Konstantine is furious in the ring. Now that Arcane is here, he knows that his shot at the title tonight is up in smoke. A group of security guards rush the ring and grab Konstantine, but he doesn’t go easily. Finally, he succumbs to the numbers and they begin to drag him out of the ring and through the crowd, probably out of the arena. Arcane begins making his way down to the ring.

PNW CHAMPIONSHIP Arcane vs. Liam Callaghan
The referee holds up both copies of the PNW Championship, and the crowd is hot for this unification match. Arcane and Liam Callaghan wait until the bell rings and then charge each other. There is no lockup, just a brawl, and Arcane is able to get the better of the young Callaghan. With Callaghan backed up into the corner, Arcane lands some shots before choking Liam with his boot. The referee forces him off and Arcane looks down at the other champion with a smile. He slowly walks over to Liam, and that turns out to be a mistake. Liam charges forward and sends him down with a shoulder block. When Arcane pops up, Callaghan catches him with an armdrag. He keeps hold of the arm and tries to lock in the Revolution Lock, but Arcane is able to roll through and break his grasp. Arcane slams Liam with a kick to the side, which surely did something, but Liam caught the leg and then tossed Arcane backwards with an exploder suplex! When Arcane got to his feet, Liam was able to send him down with the Celtic Breaker! 1…2…KICKOUT!
Callaghan began the process of wearing down Arcane, but in the blink of an eye Arcane was back in the match after a roundhouse kick sent Liam down to the mat. 1…2…KICKOUT! Arcane slowed down the pace of the match with some standing submissions, but the crowd was behind Liam completely and he was able to use that energy to pull himself back into the match. He got control of Arcane and tried to take him down with a sidewalk slam, but Arcane hammered his way out of danger. A snap german suplex followed, and everyone was sure that the impact would keep Callaghan down. 1…2…KICKOUT! Arcane and the crowd were shocked.
As he pulled himself to his feet, Arcane narrowed his eyes and pointed the finger guns at Callaghan, signaling that this one was nearly over. He wasted no time and pulled Callaghan up onto his shoulders. MAGNUM OPUS! NO! Callaghan swiveled out of danger! Chop block! Callaghan pulled him into position. BOSTON MASSACRE! The cross-legged michinoku driver connects! 1…2…KICKOUT!
It was obvious that Callaghan was frustrated. He watched as Arcane pulled himself up using the ropes and contemplated what he would do next. Callaghan took some steps towards Arcane, but before he could commit, Arcane slipped through the ropes and fell against the barricade. Callaghan gave chase and snatched up Arcane, trying to toss him back into the ring, but Arcane reversed the momentum and sent Callaghan back first into the apron. Arcane landed a few more shots and then tossed Callaghan inside. 1…2…NO! He immediately turned Callaghan around and locked in a chinlock. Callaghan suffered for a while but then was able to power his way back into control. He managed to pull Arcane into the wheelbarrow position and then the half nelson for the Beantown Plunge, but then Konstantine rushed the ring! The referee called for the bell – making it clear that there was no winner in this match!
Konstantine leveled Callaghan with a double axehandle and then pulled Arcane to his feet. He tossed Arcane against the ropes. MIDNIGHT MURDER SCENE! Arcane managed to roll out of the ring to avoid any more danger. Konstantine then turned his attention back to Callaghan and locked in Garrote 47, the bridging arm triangle choke. He left the hold in long enough for Callaghan to pass out, and then the security guards once again were able to pull him out of the arena. This time he let them, as he had nothing left to prove. We fade to the commercial break with the lingering shot of Liam getting medical attention.
NO CONTEST
After the commercial break, we cut to the back where General Manager Tugg Porter is standing alone in the interview lounge. He says that because of what happened tonight, he has no other choice but to book a unification match at CWC Worldwide featuring Liam Callaghan, Arcane, and Konstantine. He says that he has strict orders from Blanche Patton to ensure that the belt returns completely to PNW, no more of this two titles nonsense. Because of that, he is booking the main event next week to a non-title no disqualification match between Konstantine and Liam Callaghan. He says that all of their aggression against each other needs to be in the past by the time Worldwide comes around, because Arcane is the target when they get there.
The camera cuts to the parking lot. We see a car pull up and Blanche Patton step out. Sam Decker, the interviewer, immediately rushes her. He asks Blanche to provide details on the other announcements promised for tonight. She takes off her sunglasses and smiles at him, saying that they will all be made at the right time. But the first one is coming up after the next match.

Dillon Taylor vs. Jackson Fleck
The match between Jackson Fleck and Dillon Taylor is set to begin, and the crowd is split on who they are rooting for this one. Fleck and Taylor meet in the middle of the ring and lock up. Fleck gets the upperhand and is able to toss Taylor into the ropes and lay him out with a flapjack on the rebound. He poses to the crowd as Taylor gets to his feet, earning a mixed reaction. Taylor charges forward with a kick to the gut followed by a Russian legsweep. He transitions into some mounted punches for trying for an early pin. 1…2…KICKOUT, but Fleck wasn’t going down this early. Taylor bounces off of the ropes one more time, but this time he is able to catch Fleck under the jaw with a dropkick. He moves to the top rope and tries for the swanton bomb, but there is no one home. Fleck pulls him up into a gutwrench suplex position and slams him down before floating through into another. He decides that two is enough and tries for the pin. 1…2…KICKOUT.
Fleck is able to toss Taylor on top of the ropes and land some knees to the gut, and when Taylor falls to the mat it is clear that he’s hurting. Another pin attempt. 1…2…KICKOUT. Fleck holds Taylor on the ground with a headlock, but Taylor is able to power his way to his feet after a while and then drop Fleck with a back suplex. Taylor finds peace in the corner of the ring, but Fleck is quickly up to his feet and charging. Taylor ducks through the ropes and baits Fleck into charging shoulder first into the corner. He nails a drive by kick and then moves to the top rope and finally connects with that swanton bomb! 1…2…KICKOUT! This time it was much closer.
Taylor moved into the corner and lined Fleck up for Taylor Made, a spear, but when he got close enough Fleck raised his knee and caught Taylor right under the jaw. Operating mostly on instinct, Fleck pulled Taylor into position. #FLEXFRIDAY! The full nelson suplex into the cutter connects! Fleck goes for the pin. 1…2…3! That’s it! It was a tougher fight than he was expecting, but Fleck is victorious in this one against a game Dillon Taylor.
WINNER: JACKSON FLECK
Fleck is still in the ring celebrating when Blanche Patton’s music hits. Dillon Taylor pulls himself up and the two crowd favorites are left staring up at the ramp. Blanche says that the PNW Championship is a hot mess right now, and that is partially her fault. She didn’t think an outsider would be allowed to walk in and take the belt right under our noses, but she has learned her lesson. She says the best way to correct mistakes is to plan for the future, and the future of the PNW Championship begins after Worldwide. She says that Alex Madsen, Asher Crosby, Luke Bane, Dex Russey, Caleb Adams, Ben Kingsley, Dillon Taylor, and Jackson Fleck will compete in an eight man tournament to crown the new number one contender. She says that while the tournament will not begin until after Worldwide, next week all eight competitors will meet in an eight man tag team match. The winning team of four men will be allowed to choose the stipulations of their opening round match, giving them a massive advantage. She gestures up to the video screen which reveals the bracket and wishes everyone luck. We linger on a shot of the bracket before fading to commercial break.

Alex & Sansa Madsen vs. Parker Bros Inc
The husband and wife duo of Alex and Sansa Madsen are in the ring and ready to try their luck with the numbers game even against the HPW Team Champions, Parker Bros Inc. Jesse Parker will start things off for his side with Alex Madsen starting for the other. The bell sounds and it is clear that Marty and Jesse are hungry for this win, with a potential PNW Tag Team Championship shot in the front of their mind. Jesse is able to battle Alex back with a series of quick strikes and then an arm wrench takedown. Alex sweeps the legs, but Jesse keeps hold of the arm and is able to kip up right back into the same position. Alex is able to twist himself around into the right spot before finally taking Jesse down with a back suplex. From there, both men jump to their feet and Madsen levels him with two short arm clotheslines. He whips Jesse into the corner and tags in Sansa. She climbs to the top rope as he holds Jesse in place, and then connects with a diving dropkick. 1…2…KICKOUT.
Sansa’s specialty as a technician is the neck and back, and she immediately goes to work on those parts of Jesse Parker. She pulls him into a cloverleaf, pressing her knee on the back of his neck, and the hold stays in deep for a while before he is able to reach the ropes. Clearly this didn’t bother her. She pulled him right back into the middle of the ring and dropped two knees across the back. She went for an elbow drop, but Jesse was quick enough to roll away and tag in Marty.
Marty hopped over the ropes and came in hot. He leveled Sansa with an enziguri and then quickly hooked the leg. 1…2…KICKOUT. Marty pulled Sansa up and tossed her back down with a belly to belly. She ended up in the corner and he got her with a monkey flip. She rolled through onto her feet and was pretty disoriented. Marty charged by Sansa got him with a stuff uppercut that pushed him back long enough to make the tag to Alex. He came in hot as well, taking out Marty with some more lariats. He got him with a neckbreaker and then tossed him into the corner. A running knee to the gut kept him in control. He pulled Marty into the middle of the ring, but Marty was able to reverse the momentum, and sent both men plowing into the referee! Jesse saw his chance and immediately charged Sansa with a running dropkick to knock her off of the apron. Together they lines Alex up for the double superkick, but Alex ducked it. PEACE OF MIND! The jumping cutter connects on Marty. SUPERKICK! Jesse got Alex Madsen right under the jaw. Jesse sized up the situation and then immediately rolled Marty out of the ring before covering Alex. The switcheroo works to perfection, and the referee is none the wiser. 1…2…3! That’s it! Marty and Jesse have stolen the victory!
WINNERS: PARKER BROS INC
After the match PBI are on their way out of the ring, but the lights in the arena dim. Suddenly the face of Hudson Hughes appears on the video screen above the stage. He greets PBI and congratulates them on their victory. He says that their celebration is going to be short lived, however, and their dream of becoming PNW Tag Team Champions will have to be placed on hold. He says that their reign as the HPW Tag Team Champions has gone on long enough, and that he has finally reached a deal with Blanche Patton to get a huge match at CWC Pacific. He says that it cost him a lot of money, but HPW would be sending one more team after PBI, and there is no chance they make it out with the belts. He begins to laugh as we fade out on a shot of PBI screaming up at the monitor.

Ben Kingsley vs. Luke Bane
This match now has PNW Championship implications. Luke Bane and Ben Kingsley will both take part in the tournament to crown a new number one contender after Worldwide, so they will want to scout each other out in this match in case their paths cross in the tournament. The bell rings and Luke Bane is all over Kingsley to start things off. He immediately tries to go for the patented spike DDT, but Kingsley is still fresh enough to push himself out of danger. Bane charges back with a lariat attempt, but Kingsley ducks and swivels behind him, trying to keep him under control with a waistlock. Bane elbows his way out of danger and knocks Kingsley down with a stiff right hand. Kingsley rolls out of the ring to catch a breather, and Bane stays inside pacing around and making sure Kingsley knows how much of a coward he is.
Kingsley is having a quick chat with Mia Miley at ringside and Bane is tired of waiting. He launches himself through the ropes with a suicide dive that takes Kingsley down. Bane is quick to get up and toss Kingsley back into the ring. He tries for a quick pin. 1…2…KICKOUT. Bane begins to stomp on Kingsley’s arm before reaching down and beginning to pry at his hands. Kingsley knows he’ll get his fingers snapped if he doesn’t do something fast, so he powers up to his feet and pulls Bane into a belly to belly suplex. Bane charges, but he gets caught in “Timber”, a spinning sitout spinebuster that rocks the ring. Kingsley covers. 1…2…KICKOUT.
Bane rolls onto the apron, avoiding any sort of followup from Kingsley. He is grabbed by the head and pulled to his feet, but then he necks Kingsley on the top rope. As Kingsley staggers back, Bane gives chase before planning him with a running bulldog. He once again pulls Kingsley up into DDT position, but this time Mia Miley jumps up onto the apron. Bane isn’t distracted for long, but the split second is long enough for Kingsley to push himself out of danger. Bane charges forward but Kingsley nails him with a big boot. Rather than go for the cover, Kingsley takes a second to recover. He grabs Bane by the waist and pulls him up, setting up for the Rip City Tide, but Bane is able to use dead weight to keep himself down. He pushes Kingsley back and then bounces off of the ropes, but once again Miley is there. This time she snags Bane by the foot and he falls face first onto the apron. He gets up quickly, but the referee has his back turned. Kingsley hits Bane with a low blow and then connects with Rose City Kiss, the cobra clutch slam! He hooks the leg. 1…2…3! Kingsley doesn’t stick around to celebrate, but the win is his nonetheless.
WINNER: BEN KINGSLEY
In the back, we see the PNW Tag Team Champions, Texas Wrecking Crew, warming up for their match. They are approached by The Gear Society, Agatha and Gear Gamma. Agatha tells them that they were just informed that next week there will a tag team match between The Gear Society and Oswald & Oswald, the winners will go on to face Texas Wrecking Crew or The Badd Breed for the PNW Tag Team Championships at CWC Pacific. Agatha is just giddy about this announcement, but Mack Brody not as much. The Technician pulls him back and does the talking. He says that The Gear Society are washed up. They were the best tag team in the entire CWC at one point, but now they aren’t even close. Brody chimes in and says there will be no Badd Breed after tonight if he has anything to say about it. Agatha smiles and says that she has a match up next, but she hopes to see the boys again at CWC Pacific. We fade to commercial break with a shot of Brody and Technician turning to each other, ready to talk some more strategy.

Agatha, Cali-Kate & Rose vs. Alyssa Davies, Iris Oswald & Veeka Manns
This six woman tag team match leaves the ring crowded, but when the bell rings they don’t waste any time. Rose, the PNW Women’s Champion, starts the match off against perhaps her most outspoken critic, Alyssa Davies. Rose is able to manhandle Davies at the beginning, taking time in between tosses to stop and stare down at a furious Alyssa. Finally Alyssa decides that she isn’t ready right now and needs more time to warm up. She tags in Veeka Manns, who rushes into the ring and nails Rose with a powerful forearm. Rose staggers back into her corner and is immediately tagged by Agatha, but Veeka doesn’t notice. Agatha springboards over the top rope and rolls through into a pin. 1…2…KICKOUT. Veeka gets to her feet and realizes what happened, charging Agatha with a similar forearm, but it’s avoided. Agatha plants Veeka with a neckbreaker and then tags in Cali-Kate. Kate connects with a shining wizard. 1…2… Iris breaks it up! Kate is up to push Iris off, which allows Veeka to tag Alyssa back in.
Alyssa comes in quick and tries to roll up Cali-Kate. 1…2…KICKOUT! She begins to furiously stomp Cali-Kate before tossing her into the corner and choking her with her boot. Kate is taken down with a snapmare and then clocked with a low dropkick to the back of the head. 1…2…KICKOUT. Alyssa drags Cali-Kate unceremoniously across the ring by the hair to bring in Iris Oswald. Iris’ first move is to launch Kate across the ring with a belly to belly suplex, but Kate goes too far and Rose is able to tag herself into the match with a slap on the back.
Iris is no small woman, and she is able to go toe to toe with Rose for a while. But finally Rose snatches her up and plants her with a body slam. Veeka Manns rushed the ring, but Rose took her down with a big boot. Rose pulled Iris to the corner and tied her to the tree of woe before charging forward with a shoulder block. She made the cover. 1…2…KICKOUT. Rose took control of Iris with a bearhug and then made the tag to Agatha. She let Iris drape down and Agatha came off the top rope with a legdrop. Agatha went for the pin. 1…2… Alyssa Davies breaks it up! Cali-Kate charged the ring and took care of Alyssa as Agatha made it back to her feet.
Agatha springboarded off of the ropes and was caught by Iris with a big boot. Iris nailed her with a gutwrench suplex and then went for the pin. 1…2…KICKOUT. Iris landed some hard knees to Agatha and went to her corner to make the tag to Veeka. They connected with a double suplex on Agatha. 1…2…KICKOUT! Veeka pulled Agatha into position for the powerbomb as Alyssa Davies rounded the outside of the ring to pull Rose off of the apron! They traded some shots, but then Rose was sent crashing into the steps! In the ring Agatha was able to flip through the powerbomb attempt, and the momentum carried her into position to tag in Cali-Kate! Cali-Kate rushed in and was able to use her own momentum to plant Veeka with the Comic-Kaze, a tiltawhirl DDT! She hooked the leg! 1…2…3! That’s it! We get a shot of Rose, Kate, and Agatha celebrating in the ring before fading to commercial break.
WINNERS: AGATHA, CALI-KATE & ROSE
After returning from the commercial break, we find Tugg Porter standing with Alyssa Davies, Veeka Manns, Ava Tremblay, Cali-Kate, Sansa Madsen, and Cheyenne backstage in the interview lounge. Rose is the last one to join the party, the PNW Women’s Championship over her shoulder. Tugg tells all of the women that at CWC Pacific, there will be a three way match for the PNW Championship. Obviously Rose has one of the spots, but the other two will be up for grabs. He says that next week there will be two three way matches involving you six women, and the two winners will go on to fight at CWC Pacific for the belt. Alyssa Davies is furious. She says that she should be the champion right now because she is the biggest star on the entire roster. She also says that a battle royal is a joke match, so Rose is just as much of a fake champion as Liam Callaghan. Tugg splits the two girls up and says that if Alyssa can win her match next week, they can finally settle this one on one. She storms off as we cut to the ring.

PNW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Texas Wrecking Crew vs. The Badd Breed
The referee holds the PNW Tag Team Championships into the air. Next week we will learn who the champions face at CWC Pacific, but the belts are on the line right now. The Badd Breed are fresh off of a big win last week, and ready to take those belts home. Mack Brody starts this one off against Mr. Misery, and every time Mack would rush in for a lockup Misery was able to throw him off with martial arts skill. None of the kicks were particularly potent, but it was getting in the head of the roughneck. Finally Brody had enough and went for a full charge, but Misery ducked out of the way and took him down with a legsweep. Brody fell face first onto the mat and was left prone to some hard knee strikes. He eventually was able to pull himself out of danger and make the tag to The Technician, but he was pissed off for sure. Misery made the tag to Valiente Dark.
Technician and Dark met in the middle and it was almost like the match restarted. Dark was able to reverse the pressure on several submissions that The Technician tried, and also slip out of any attempts to grapple. Finally, Mack Brody had enough and charged the ring and leveled Dark with a hard lariat. He and Technician got their stomps in before Misery rushed the ring and was able to take Brody out with a leg lariat. But The Technician got what he needed and went to work on Dark, picking apart the leg, thinking it would stop any attempts at high flying in the future. He pulled Dark into the corner and draped his leg over the ropes so that Brody could tag back in and drop his entire body weight on the leg. 1…2…KICKOUT! Brody slapped on a chinlock to wear down Dark, but the crowd was getting behind him. He powered to his feet and was able to send Brody down with a back suplex. He began crawling over to his corner to make the tag to Mr. Misery. Brody kept hold of his foot, but Misery was able to kick his way out of trouble before too long. Brody rolled quickly back to his side of the ring and made the tag at the same time Dark brought in Misery.
It was a miserable few seconds for The Technician as he was ambushed with a series of quick kicks and backfists. Finally Mr. Misery backed up and tried for one roundhouse kick to end it all, but The Technician ducked and was able to roll him up! 1…2…HE’S GOT THE TIGHTS…3! That’s it! The Texas Wrecking Crew have retained the titles!
They hightail it up the ramp, and Technician barely avoids another kick from Misery. Dark tries to explain that the tights were pulled, but it doesn’t matter. The decision is final. We fade to black with Brody and Technician raising the belts up high.
WINNERS: TEXAS WRECKING CREW (STILL PNW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS)
