![]() LEGACY 10 - RETALIATION LIVE FROM OSAKA-JŌ HALL, OSAKA, JAPAN TUESDAY - SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 RISING SUN CHAMPIONSHIP, 60 MINUTE TIME LIMIT MAIN EVENT 2 - FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH BIG BANTER vs. HIROKAI YOKOZA vs. OCULTA DA SILVA vs. MASON WOLFE © At CWC Worldwide, Mason Wolfe defeated Hirokai Yokoza to become the new Rising Sun Championship. Hirokai is entitled to a rematch, and he will get just that at Retaliation. However, at CWC Pacific, Big Banter defeated Oculta Da Silva and thus has arguable earned the right to challenge for the title. But then, it was Oculta Da Silva who was left standing tall after that match, having sent a very clear message. The two big men have unresolved issues, and with Hirokai Yokoza, Mason Wolfe and the Rising Sun Championship thrown into the mix, things may get out of hand quickly. Either way, Mason Wolfe has his work cut out for him if he plans on remaining as the Rising Sun Champion. NON-TITLE, 60 MINUTE TIME LIMIT MAIN EVENT 1 - SINGLES MATCH DOM WOLFE vs. MARK STORM © At CWC Worldwide, Mark Storm was able to defeat Kyle West to win the CWC Junior Heavyweight Championship. This means that not only does he have a target on his back in CWC Japan: Legacy, but the entire of the CWC as a whole. Perhaps most keen on hitting the bullseye is Dom Wolfe, who has had plenty of issues with Mark Storm ever since the Legacy of the Gaijins tournament. They’ve been distracting each other during matches in recent weeks, and the tension has been brewing for awhile now. Both men requested this match to take place tonight, and even though the title isn’t on the line, a victory for Dom Wolfe would be huge. Likewise, a win for Mark Storm would go a long way to cementing his position as the best Junior Heavyweight in CWC! GAIJIN CHAMPIONSHIP, 45 MINUTE TIME LIMIT MATCH THREE - TRIPLE THREAT MATCH ALEKS BERZINS vs. ALISA RUTSKAYA vs. ESSENCE © Over the past few weeks, Essence has had to deal with both Aleks Berzins and Alisa Rutskaya. The duo have quickly made an impact, and they can boast over holding a pinfall victory over the Gaijin Champion. That is exactly the reason for this match. While it was Rutskaya who pinned Essence, Aleks’ role shouldn’t be downplayed. The two females have formed a close friendship recently, but under triple threat rules, with the Gaijin Championship on the line, will they be able to work together? Or will Essence be able to capitalise on the slightest of disagreements? 30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT MATCH TWO - SINGLES MATCH BLAZING KISUKE vs. SASORI SAITO Sasori Saito has been increasingly vocal about her disappointment with the way that CWC Japan: Legacy has been being run, with Gaijins seemingly being favoured over local talent. When Blazing KISUKE tried accept her open challenge, their issues grew from there. While tonight may be the first show under new leadership, Sasori Saito has unfinished business with Blazing KISUKE. If there was any truth to Saito’s claims that the foreigners were being given special treatment, tonight is the perfect opportunity to teach the new head booker that she deserves more opportunities. Of course, this applies to KISUKE too. A victory for either of them would be a great way to kick start this new era, but it certainly will not be easy. JAPAN OPENWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, 30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT OPENING CONTEST - SINGLES MATCH OCULTA SANTOS vs. TADASHI Oculta Santos was a constant thorn in the side of Austin Craddock during his last few weeks as General Manager, and after having the odds stacked against him, he was able to earn the opportunity to become the first ever Japan Openweight Champion. But standing between him and history is TADASHI, who has impressed every single time he has stepped into the ring. These two men are vastly different, but they each share a common goal of becoming the inaugural Japan Openweight Champion. Only one of them can achieve it, but we expect this will be a truly exciting contest! PRE-SHOW MATCH 2 - SINGLES EL FORASTERO vs. YURI JIGOKU Yuri Jigoku has been on his own personal mission ever since losing his Rising Sun Championship opportunity against Hirokai Yokoza, and it has seen him slowly work his way back up the ladder. He requested a match, and he’s been given one against El Forastero. Yuri feels as though he belongs at the top of the card, and while he’s not quite worked his way back there yet, a win during the pre-show will surely help his cause! PRE-SHOW MATCH 1 - FREE-FOR-ALL AKIRA AKIYAMA vs. CHASE FUTRELL vs. DABRIA RHODES vs. HIROTO vs. JESSY TURNER vs. KAZUKI vs. KENJI MASARU vs. POLLY McPHERSON vs. REDGRAVE vs. ZACK RICHARDS This match will have everyone in the ring at the same time, but unlike a battle royal, there will be no eliminations. This is a one fall to a finish contest, so as you can imagine, it may get quite cluttered in the ring. All of these competitors will want to try and get the victory, especially as the winner will receive a future Championship opportunity - though it is currently unclear which title this will be for, or when they will get it. |
