As the view pulls back, the serpent smile of Bobby B. Barabbas is displayed, the soothsayer clad in black upon black. He greets the audience in his customary method, welcoming them to the show in a smooth and sophisticated manner. As he gets past the pleasantries, he begins to recall the events surrounding the culmination of the last show, when his client, the mighty Ramsay Bodach teamed with PNW’s champion Liam Callaghan against Jackson Fleck and Mistress Vivi. He states, though it was a close contest, his behemoth of a client had the match in his control, and he was about to dispense the Emperor’s Justice until one of Vivi’s mindless followers decided to get involved and ruin a true warrior’s contest. Barabbas then reminds the crowd of what Bodach did to said follower, and that he is aware said attacker has now been rendered useless to his cult leader. Barabbas states that the entire roster should pay attention to what his client did, as anyone who tries to interfere in his business will suffer the very same fate. As Barabbas moves on, his client steps into view, the gigantic and physically imposing “Ghost of Blackthorn.” He looks prepared for war, barechested and ripped with his trophies and medallions hanging from his neck. Ramsay merely stares into the camera, the image shaking as seemingly the cameraman quakes in fear due to the glare of the monster before him. Bobby B grins once more, patting the velvet bag with his free hand, before declaring that Ramsay is planning on having a very “nice” time tonight, and is not only going to beat the clock, but damn well beat down anything that moves. Barabbas eloquently explains that Bodach is not here to make up the numbers, but be the only number that matters. Number One. Ramsay raises a single digit in the air, before the Emperor of PAROUSIA lets out a deafening battlecry before marching off in the direction of the curtain, his manager in tow carrying the velvet bag close to him, leaving much mystery as to what is within.
Backstage, Gear Gamma is watching his partner, Agatha Edison, pace nervously. She explains to the other half of the Gear Society that she's worried about the Madsens being the number one contenders for the tag titles--after all, they're very talented competitors. She also chides Gear Gamma for worrying too much about the Murder City Saints, their opponents for tonight--she says Gear Gamma thinks too much in the short term (even though Gear Gamma never speaks). After giving it some thought, she reaches a conclusion--clearly, the Gear Society needs to mount a cerebral assault, and get in the Madsens' heads. Agatha claims she's been watching "scries from ancient wrestling events," and she thinks she knows just the thing to start playing mind games. She bolts off, with Gear Gamma soon following.
"Freddie's Dead" by Curtis Mayfield plays with Gage VL stepping out onto the stage. He doesn't play to the audience, despite being the newest arrival to PNW. Instead, he just makes his way down the ramp and into the ring. He requests a match, giving a gracious bow to the ring keep and turns to the audience around him. As his theme dies down, he looks around the arena with a pensive look. After a moment of what seems to be hesitation, he brings the microphone to his mouth. He doesn’t speak, relenting from whatever the first words on his mind were going to be. Soon enough, he does find the proper words to say and he starts. Gage VL: “I won’t take up too much of your time. For those who watched VPW, you know me as the habitual loser that failed to do anything that he originally set to do. For those who had the time to watch me fight in GFP and SSWA, then you know me as Gage Kaiser, a man who can hang with the best of them, but hasn’t made good on anything he has ever done. In my mind, I believe many of you not to know me. Not at all.” Gage VL: “I’m a lot of things. I’m a joker, an artist, a gamer, and a brother to one FORCE Pro Champion. However, last week, I became something else. Alongside all the nicknames that I’ve given myself, I became the father, a first-time father, to a precious baby boy.” He bows his head, garnering some cheers from the crowd. Gage VL: “I’ve never been prouder of anything in my life. I’ve never been prouder of another person in my life. I’m not worthy of their pride just yet. In my time of holding my child, I’ve come to realize that I have let go of a lot of my potential just because of my laziness or my lack of interest. That’s not fair to anyone. Not fair to my child, the love of my life, and not to any of you.” Gage lowered down to the mat, pressing his head against it in a symbolic bow. He remained there for some time until he rose it back up with a glisten in his eyes. Gage VL: “On this day, I swear that I’m going to become something more than the habitual loser and the trickster that I was proud to be. I’m going to PNW Champion one of these days because I’m no longer fighting for my own self-gratification. I’m fighting for the right to have people like you all believe in me. I don’t need to say anymore. I just need to let you see what I can do. PNW, I’m new here, and I’m glad to be here. I thank you for listening to me, and welcoming me with such a warm reception.” Gage places his fist into the air. Gage VL: “I promise not to let any of you down.”
Jacob Daniels wasted no time in rolling into the ring, attacking Gray and hitting him with a Bombs Away! He stood over Gray's prone form as the camera cut away. Backstage, Mistress Vivi sits on the backs of two of her harem. Two others are stationed behind her, ready to tend to any and every need she might have. She greets the Pacific Northwest audience, informing them that they’re lucky to be graced with the presence of someone willing to travel so far north, to the Land of White People, just for their entertainment - especially when she didn’t otherwise have a reason to be at the show in North Jesus Nowhere. But there were things that she wanted to address, namely her upcoming match against Kyle Overstreet for the so-called privilege of facing either Nicholas Gray or Cali-Kate. She explains that she knows Nicholas Gray of old. He was supposed to be her boss back in San Diego three years ago, when she’d first begun her wrestling career. She hadn’t thought much of him when she had first come into the company, and her estimation of him had only fallen as years went by and he did nothing to stop the rot that was spreading throughout the company he called his own. And when he did finally decide to try and take a stand, it was too late. The company ultimately failed, leaving another black mark on the legacy of Nicholas Gray. She supposed that he could call Jolyne Dysart his one success, but even she had been beaten by none other than Mistress Vivi over in Sex & Violence Wrestling, an achievement that Vivi clearly considers a high one, given her previous treatment in San Diego. She says that while she appreciates Nicholas’s ambition to return to the ring and to try once more to prove to the world that he is not a failure, he should have stayed retired with his wife and child, far away from the business that seemed to do nothing but ruin his life in various and sundry ways. Vivienne then focuses her attention on Cali-Kate, one of the two founding members of the infamous Casa de Kami, a glorious failure of polyamorous lesbian relationships that became the butt of every joke in the wrestling world. And now all she’s done is prove that she shouldn’t be allowed to name houseplants, let alone children, given that she thought calling a child Remedi was a good idea. Cali-Kate is nothing but a generic social outcast who thinks that being a “geek” gives her some kind of original edge in a business where practically everyone makes superhero and video game references. Cali-Kate is not worthy of being in a ring with someone like Mistress Vivi, she continues. Cali-Kate is barely worthy of being a human being, and if she were to drink herself to death in a ditch somewhere here in North Jesus Nowhere, the world would be better for it. After all, someone who seemingly cannot do anything except leech off Jamilyn Cornett for some semblance of meaning and companionship in her life wouldn’t be missed, except as a punchline. That’s all Cali-Kate has ever been and will ever be, world without end, amen. And finally, Vivienne comes to Kyle Overstreet, her opponent for the following week. A pretty white boy who looks like he walked off an Abercrombie billboard and into a wrestling ring, but whose common sense Vivi sincerely doubts after their social media interactions. She tells the audience that so far, she has avoided falling in love with Kyle Overstreet despite his claims to the contrary, though she is confident that if one of them were to fall, it would be him before her. Because Mistress Vivi comes by her name honestly - she has always been known as a dominatrix, a ruiner of men, and one who takes great pleasure in breaking those who cross her. Kyle Overstreet has crossed her, she tells the audience, and she looks forward to teaching him his lessons on next week’s edition of Warfare. She bids the audience and her opponents au revoir, blowing a kiss to the camera and reminding them that in the end, everyone bows to their Mistress.
The scene had cut backstage to find the PNW Champion, Liam Callaghan, standing in front of a camera. He began to talk about the main event, how he was not only out there as a guest commentator, but as someone who needed to scout his opponent. He knew that Rose is after his PNW Championship and that he needed to be as ready for her as he possibly could be. He would go on to make clear that he’s not going to be a distraction while he’s out there, that he’s simply doing his due diligence as champion and things like this are why he’s gotten this far. Liam would go on to say that while he’s going to be out there to scout Rose, that he also is excited to see what Tabitha Tremont brings to the table. Liam comments about how he knows Tabitha’s body of work in the ring and that he wouldn’t be surprised if Tabitha beats Rose tonight and shows she belongs at the top of the card. Liam went on to say that he is excited for all of the new changes that have come to PNW and that he is proud to be its champion in this new era of the company. He’d expand further on that comment, saying how he doesn’t plan on slowing down and that he expects to be PNW Champion for the foreseeable future. Liam finished off the segment by wishing Rose and Tabitha good luck out there for their main event match and may the best woman win. He gave the camera a smile before walking away and the feed cut out. The Gear Society makes their way to the ring, but something is... off. Gear Gamma is painted gold from head to toe, sports a feather boa, and wears a platinum blond wig. Agatha Edison grabs a microphone before getting in the ring, and begins to explain to the crowd that she's unlocked Gear Gamma's... dark side. He's a depraved, sick individual, a pervert that everyone should be disturbed by. However, when she tries to think of examples of Gear Gamma's twisted tendencies, she comes up a little short. She mentions that he... pours the milk before the cereal! He wears crocs! He likes fidget spinners? The list of Gear Gamma's sins are far from abhorrent, and soon the crowd is laughing while Agatha names off more of Gear Gamma's atrocities. He likes puppies more than kittens! There are a few Nickelback songs he doesn't hate! Gear Gamma just shakes his head, but Agatha Edison is somehow confident that she's painted a disturbing picture of the 'new,' 'depraved' Gear Gamma. Truly, one of history's greatest monsters. She concludes by saying everyone will never forget the name... of Geardust.
Inside of KONSTANTINE’s locker room, the camera found the man standing front of a poster. Several blocks, filled with pictures of people in PNW. X’s were plastered over some of them, people like the PNW Champion, Liam Callaghan, among others. People that weren’t in the federation anymore were blocked out with black marker. KONSTANTINE slowly turned his head back to the camera, acknowledging that they were there. The person in control of the camera took a step back, noticing that his mood wasn’t at all calm. In fact, his vacant stare was unsettling enough to the camera person that they had to step back. He doesn’t speak, walking towards the camera operator until they start to actively recoil from his approach. He grabbed the camera and yanked it out of the hands of its keeper. He walked over to the poster, highlighting its existence. It’s a “kill list”, with additions of everyone that has come to PNW. Ramsay Bodach, Mistress Vivi, Sophia Pike, and many others lined the top of it. He pointed his finger at one of them, slowly drawing it down until he reaches a point. He stopped, not allowing the camera to see it. Instead, he handed it back over to the camera operator, returning to the distant person that the PNW audience has grown to know. He promptly sat back down on his bench and returned to staring intently at the poster. The camera operator lingered on him before he once more turned his eyes to them. KONSTANTINE: “Sometimes, words aren’t needed. Begone.” Getting the message, they left him to his mechanisms. Tabitha Tremont is found in the back already dressed in her ring gear, an excited smile on her face. She says she’s looking forward to tonight very much - after all, what’s more exciting than being in the Main Event? She runs a hand through her long blond pulled up ponytail, flicking it back from her face as she speaks, licking her pink glossed lips. She says that she’s not nervous to have Liam Callaghan on commentary, in fact she welcomes him! She says that this is going to be quite a match as she knows Rose has a similar style to herself, though of course… she draws this out with a wink, of course Tabitha is much stronger in her delivery of powerbombs. She says that while she has respect for anyone who works hard to hone their craft, who is passionate about wrestling, that doesn’t mean that she’s going to take it easy. In fact, considering that she is a known quantity who is a champion elsewhere, why… her focus is now laser sharp, she wants to be a champion here! She waves her fingers at the camera and blows a kiss before walking away.
After the events in the ring, the scene cuts to the backstage area where we see Sansa and Alex Madsen talking about a few things, especially about what had happened during the tag champions match earlier in the night. Sansa seems determined to win their match (which was still a few weeks away) and Alex is loving everything coming out of his wife’s mouth, running a hand through her hair as they are approached by PNW interviewer, Sam Decker, causing the look upon the Black Queen’s face to change to irritation and slight rage. Being a bit cautious, Decker asks the married couple what they think of the performance of The Gear Society in the match earlier in the day. Alex was quick to inform him that even though their match was still a few weeks away, they were more prepared for Gear Society than they would be for the Madsens because being partners in life would make them a stronger team. Sansa said that they are tired of being pushed to the side both as a team and as singles wrestlers, that they’re ready to step foot into the spotlight and become the new tag team champions. They both reiterated the fact that they’re the strongest team in the company and that everyone are mere pawns in their extensive plans to take over PNW’s tag team division. But before Decker could get another word in edgewise, Sansa and Alex walk off and leave him there as the scene cuts out. Before the main event, though both competitors are in the ring, Liam Callaghan, the PNW Champion, makes his way to the ring and takes his seat at the commentary desk, sitting in on the main event!
After the match was a different story from the start, as Rose made sure her last, pinning powerbomb set her up to stare directly at Liam Gallagher. Liam rose from the table, brought the PNW Title into the ring, and proceeded to meet Rose nose-to-nose in the middle of the ring, holding his title aloft as the show went off the air. |
