GCW INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP
CAROLINE CLARKE © vs. LAYLA AISHE

The GCW Internet Championship is on the line as Caroline Clarke and Layla Aishe make their way to the ring here on the pre-show. The crowd is still filing in as they lock up, and Aishe quickly transitions into a waistlock before taking Clarke down. She slaps on a headlock, but Clarke pulls herself up and pushes Aishe into the ropes. On the rebound she levels Aishe with a shoulder tackle and goes for a quick pin. 1...NO! Clarke wrings the arm of Aishe and kicks her right in the shoulder, doing a lot of damage. She pulls Aishe up into a powerslam position, but when Clarke goes to run Aishe slips away. Clarke ends up in the corner as Aishe charges in with a running high knee that connects right under the jaw. Aishe hits a running bulldog to pull Clarke out of the corner and then goes for the pin. 1...2...NO!

Aishe waits for Clarke to rise before pulling her into suplex position and slamming her down hard. She transitions right into a surfboard stretch that has Clarke looking for a way to get out of it. She finally breaks free and Aishe knows to just let her go. Clarke rises to her feet and tries for a roundhouse kick but Aishe ducks under and around, avoiding the strike. Aishe tries for a backstabber, but Clarke rushes to the ropes and Aishe is sent crashing to the mat. Clarke charges in with a knee strike and goes for the pin. 1...2...NO! Aishe just barely managed to get her shoulder up in time. Clarke connects with a reverse suplex that has Aishe face down in the middle of the ring. Clarke moves to the apron, looking to connect with the Phenomenal Forearm to put this thing away once and for all. She bounces off of the top, but Aishe sees it coming and hits a perfectly placed dropkick that stops Aishe right in her tracks! 1...2...NO! How did Clarke kick out of that one?

The battle continues with Aishe desperately attempting to get Tarot, her kimura lock, in tight, but Clarke is raking at the eyes and so far managing to hold it off. Aishe backs away and looks down at Clarke as she attempts to pull herself up. Aishe whiffs on a buzzsaw kick and Clarke rolls her up. 1...2...NO! Aishe pops to her feet with wide eyes - she clearly didn’t see that one coming. Clarke slams her with a forearm that sends Aishe staggering back. Clarke charges but Aishe drops the top rope and Clarke is now on the apon. Aishe grabs Clarke and drapes  her over the top rope - IN THE STARS! 1...2...3! She’s done it! Layla Aishe is the new GCW Internet Champion! She holds the title high in celebration of this huge win.

WINNER: LAYLA AISHE
(NEW GCW INTERNET CHAMPION)

JOSH HOLLOWAY vs. VANESSA HENDRIX

Josh Holloway is one week away from competing in the tournament to crown a new CWC United States Champion at War on Christmas. Tonight, he gets a chance to warm up against a tough opponent in Vanessa Hendrix. The crowd is cheering for Holloway as the two lock up and he gets the upperhand. He moves right into an exploder suplex that catches Hendrix off guard. When Hendrix rises to her feet she is nailed by a spinning heel kick from Holloway. He rises to a big ovation from the crowd, and he takes a moment to relish in it. Hendrix works her way to her feet and when Holloway moves in, she decks him with a right hand. Hendrix backs him into the corner and lands some hard body shots before the referee breaks them up. Hendrix moves in and gets some MMA style knees to the gut before taking Holloway down with a snapmare. She gets him in the back of the head with a dropkick. 1...2...NO! Hendrix pulls Holloway up and she is looking for a suplex, but Holloway gets her in ther ribs a few times with some rights. Hendrix changed her tactic and whips Holloway across the ropes, but she eats a slingblade for her troubles!

Holloway rises to his feet, and it seems like he is ready to put this one away, but suddenly Luke Jones enters from the crowd with a steel chair in hand and slams Holloway across the back with it. On the other side of the ring Zack Burton enters and puts a boot in Hendrix’s face for good measure. Luke screams at Holloway that it should be him challenging for the US title before he drops the chair in the middle of the ring. He points to Burton. Burton moves in and pulls Holloway up and powerbombs him right onto the chair! We fade to commercial break as Luke puts his boot on the chest of an injured Holloway.

NO CONTEST

After the break, we cut to the trainer’s office where they are working on Josh Holloway at he sits up on a table. Sarah Sharp enters and asks Holloway for his reaction to the attack by Luke Jones and Zack Burton just moments ago. Holloway says that now that he is operating on the CWC level of things, he knows he has a target on his back. He says he expected something bad to happen tonight, but he thought Jones and Burton would still be out of commission following the buried alive match against Cosmo Cooper at On Hallowed Ground. He says that he will make sure Luke Jones is dealt with, but first, he is going to War on Christmas to become the new CWC United States Champion.

CAROLINE O’HARA BURCHILL vs. VANESSA HENDRIX

Alioth Starre is out with Kana Fable who he says is due for a meteoric rise here in GCW. Her opponent tonight is Caroline O’Hara Burchill who says that Fable is not talented enough to be here if it weren’t for her affiliation with Starre. We will find out who is right tonight. They lock up in the middle of the ring, but Burchill backs off with a cocky smile on her face. Fable moves forward with a no nonsense right hand right to Burchill’s cheek, sending her back even further. Burchill ends up in the corner and Kana moves in, but Burchill pulls the referee in front and begs for mercy. The referee forces Kana to give Burchill some room, but Burchill charges out of the corner and immediately locks in a sleeperhold to Fable. Fable uses her free arms to elbow out of it, and eventually Burchill is forced to break the hold. Fable pulls Burchill into a russian legsweep slams her down, going for the pin. 1...2...NO!

Fable transitions into some mounted punches, but Burchill is more or less able to block them. Burchill digs her fingers into the eyes of Fable, which forces her to back off. Alioth can be heard on the outside telling her not to get distracted, but Burchill wastes no time moving right in with “Conquerer”, a hair pull right back onto Burchill’s knees. Burchill moves to the top rope and is looking for the diving foot stomp that she calls Fall from Grace, but when she jumps Kana moves out of the way just in time. Burchill rolls through and moves back in, but so does Kana, and she connects with a running single leg high knee that drops Burchill to the ground. 1...2...NO! Burchill still managed to kick out!

Kana immediately pulls Burchill into the leg scissors’ sleeper hold that she uses to turn the lights out on her opponents. Burchill kicks desperately trying to find the ropes, but Fable arches her back to dial up the pressure. Finally Burchill manages to twist onto her knees and get Fable’s shoulders down for a pin. 1...2...NO! Fable breaks the hold because it almost got her pinned. Burchill was still woozy from the long hold. Fable moves in, but Burchill rolls her up and grabs the tights for leverage! 1...2...3! Burchill has stolen a win! She rolls out of the ring laughing as Alioth slips in. Fable is arguing with the referee, but Alioth says it is no use. He says they will get her next time, and this isn’t over. We fade to the back.

WINNER: CAROLINE O’HARA BURCHILL

In the back we see Caroline Clarke, now the former GCW Internet Champion, pacing around as she speaks to Deacon Thomas. She says that losing the Internet Championship was never in her plans, and now she needs to figure out how to stay in the game here. Thomas says he’s in the same boat. That three way match for the number one contendership was rigged against him from the start, and now he has to rebuild from the very bottom. Clarke says she won’t let herself fall that far. Tonight she is going to make a statement, and she is going to be right in the thick of things again. Thomas wishes her the best of luck, and he is going to do the same thing tonight when he takes on Gilbert Geiger. They share a look before we head to the back.

ANDRE HOLMES & BRIEN STORM vs. ASHLEY TIERNEY & NICOLE EVANS

After last week, Brien Storm and Andre Holmes are certainly not buddies, but they will have to work together tonight if they want to defeat the team of Nicole Evans and the former CWC World Champion Ashley Tierney. The bell sounds, and Holmes starts things off against Nicole Evans. Evans refuses a lockup, instead slapping Holmes across the face to prove a point. This angered Holmes and he fired back with a hard right hand that sent Nicole to the floor. She let out a loud scream and reached for the tag to Tierney, but Holmes had her by the foot and lifted her into a wheelbarrow facebuster for good measure. He rolled her over. 1...2...NO! She managed to kick out. Holmes lifted Nicole up and had her in position for Bad Landing, a running powerbomb into the corner, but at the last moment Evans reversed it into a hurricanrana that sent Holmes head first into the turnbuckle. Evans quickly ran away and made the tag to Tierney as Holmes struggled to get back to his feet. Tierney waltzed into the ring and planted a boot to the side of the head and went for a pin. 1...2...NO! Storm was shouting at his partner to pull it together but Tierney stayed on top of him with a chinlock. Holmes begins to battle his way back to his feet before slamming Tierney down with a powerslam. He got to his feet again but this time he was too close to his own corner, and Storm tagged himself in.

After some chatter, it became clear that Storm thinks he’s the only one in the ring that can beat Tierney. Holmes shoved Storm away, and Tierney was right there with a chop block. She did some posing to the crowd before she noticed Storm was making his way to a vertical base. Tierney waited and then slammed Storm with a european uppercut for good measure. She transitioned right into the RESIGNATION, a neckbreaker and hatch suplex combo that has put away many wrestlers, but when she went for the pin, Holmes broke it up! He shook his head as he went back towards his corner, but he didn’t see Nicole Evans rushing into the ring to do some damage. Evans clocked him in the back of the head with a back elbow and then sent Holmes over the top with a clothesline, and the two of them landed hard on the outside. Tierney was lining Storm up for Self Evaluation, but he rolled to the outside of the ring before she ever had the chance to move in. Tierney chased Storm down and the two began brawling outside of the ring. Holmes powered to his feet and was looking to level Tierney with a running dropkick, but Tierney stepped out of the way at the last moment and Holmes got Storm right in the chest, sending his own partner crashing into the barricade.

Holmes went to help Storm up like a good partner, but Storm pushed him away. Holmes staggered backwards right into a superkick to the back of the head from Nicole Evans! He dropped to the ground hard as Tierney lifted Storm into the middle of the ring. He was struggling to get to his feet and Tierney slammed him with Self Evaluation! She rolled him over to count the pin. 1...2...3! Tierney and Evans win it! They exit the ring arm in arm feeling good after such a disappointing last week. Holmes crawled into the ring to help Storm to his feet, but Storm slammed him with a right hand and connected with the Unforcasted Storm! We fade to commercial break with Storm looking down at Holmes, disgusted.

WINNERS: ASHLEY TIERNEY & NICOLE EVANS

Back from the commercial break, we see Ashley Tierney and Nicole Evans laughing it up as they walk towards the locker room backstage. Suddenly they stop in their tracks when they see the GCW Champion, Cosmo Cooper, in their way. Cosmo congratulates them on their win, but says that now that their work is done tonight, they should just go home. He knows that the two of them have an axe to grind with Ashley Marie Chase, but he doesn’t want this title defense going down as a shitshow. Tierney says that it would be stupid to leave because if Chase wins the belt, their match at Blood in the Water will be for the GCW Championship. She says that, if anything, they are going to help Chase tonight because there is no what she will be able to beat Tierney. If the belt is on the line, Tierney is basically the champion already. Cosmo says not to think of it that way. He says that if he defeats Chase tonight, Tierney will be on the top of his list for challengers anyway. So he wants her to stay out of the match tonight and wait her turn for a title shot. Tierney thinks about it and says that she wanted to go home anyway, and that after they deal with the fake Ashley, Cosmo is next. She snaps her fingers and Nicole follows her out. We fade down to the ring.

DEACON THOMAS vs. GILBERT GEIGER

The GCW Lone Star Champion, Gilbert Geiger, is going to have his hands full tonight with Deacon Thomas who has already promised to make an impact tonight. They lock up in the middle of the ring and Thomas lifts Geiger into the corner and lands some hard shots to the gut. Geiger turns the tables, but instead of striking he pulls Thomas out of the corner with a headlock and is looking for a DDT. But Thomas keeps a tight grip on the top rope and Geiger falls to the ground hard. Deacon sticks a boot in Geiger’s chest and begins to walk over the top of him, but Geiger counters into an ankle lock! Deacon Thomas is in deep trouble as Geiger drops right down into the grapevine, dialing up the pressure. Samantha Brooks is screaming for the tapout, but Deacon is close enough to the ropes that he is trying with all he’s got to reach them - and he does! Geiger keeps the pressure on for the four count before breaking the hold to avoid the DQ.

Thomas tries to get to his feet, but his ankle is hurt badly. Geiger sees this as an opportunity and launches a kick right to the ankle, dropping Deacon easily. He spends the next few minutes working on that leg with a variety of submissions, but it is never enough to earn a submission. Eventually Deacon nails Geiger with a hard right hook and drops him with a big boot, on the bad ankle, to regain control of the match. The title isn’t on the line, but Thomas knows a win here could immediately put him in contention. The slow pace of the match continues until Deacon lifts Geiger and whips him across the ropes before planting the champion with a spinebuster. He’s in control and ready to put this one away with ElectroMagnetic, but when he lifts Geiger, his ankle goes out and he has no choice but to drop him.

Both men take a while to get to their feet, and when they do Geiger pulls the referee in close, looking for the distraction to allow Samantha Brooks to try something. Brooks gets onto the apron and swipes at Thomas, but he catches her hand and tosses her to the ground on the outside. Geiger is furious. He charges in at Thomas but meets an elbow for his troubles. Thomas quickly locks in HogTied, trying for the submission since he can’t lift Geiger at this point. Geiger is reaching for the ropes, but he is right in the middle of the ring and has nowhere to go. He simply has to tap out and this match comes to an end with Thomas scoring the upset! Before cutting to the back we see Geiger going to the outside to check on Brooks while Thomas celebrates with a tender ankle in the ring.

WINNER: DEACON THOMAS

ALEJANDRA & LEELA WATTS vs. CLAUDE ROUSSEAU & JOURNEYMAN PHILLIPS

It is now time for a tag team match with a lot of bragging rights on the line. The current CWC World Champion Leela Watts teams up with a returning Alejandra against Aspen Chaud’s cronies Claude Rousseau and Journeyman Phillips. The match begins and Alejandra starts off for her team against Rousseau. Alejandra jumps on him immediately with an attempted thesz press and some punches, but Rousseau easily swipes her away. She gets right back up and hammers him with a forearm, but he fires right back with a european uppercut that sends her staggering back. He whips her across the ropes and on the rebound she ducks a clothesline en route to slamming him with a high running knee. She tosses him into her corner and tags in Leela. The two nail him with a double superkick in the corner and Leela tosses him down for a pin. 1...2...NO! Phillips breaks it up. Alejandra jumps into the ring and takes Phillips down with a tiltawhirl headscissors and he falls to the outside. Leela pulls Rousseau up… LEELA BOMB! 1...2...3! It’s an easy victory for this duo tonight!

They celebrate in the middle of the ring as the crowd goes nuts, but Phillips comes in from behind and nails Alejandra with a shot to the back of the head. Leela turns around and tries to fight him off, but Journeyman counters and ties Leela up in the ropes by her arms. Clearly this was the plan all along for Phillips and Rousseau.

WINNERS: ALEJANDRA & LEELA WATTS

After the match, the beatdown continues. Claude Rousseau and Journeyman Phillips have Leela Watts tied up in the ropes, and they continue to pummel Alejandra. Aspen Chaud’s music begins to play and she makes her way down to the ring as Phillips and Rousseau lift Alejandra up and position her to look right at Aspen Chaud. As the Assistant General Manager makes her way into the ring, she begins to speak. She tells Leela Watts that getting her suspended for a week was a terrible mistake, and if Alejandra here wasn’t so tenacious, this could be Leela in her shoes. But Leela needs to go to Boston next week and defend the CWC World Championship for the company, so she needs to be healthy. Aspen slaps Alejandra and says that one is for Leela. Finally Aspen gets down in Alejandra’s face and says that while she was at home this last week, she’s been thinking about the perfect way to really make Alejandra suffer. Now, she thinks she has the perfect solution. She’s going to get back into the ring for the first time in years, and Alejandra is going to be her opponent at Blood in the Water. But it won’t be a singles match, it will be three on three. Alejandra needs to find two partners to take on Aspen Chaud, Journeyman Phillips, and Claude Rousseau. Aspen says Alejandra should consider it an honor that her last match will be against a legend like her. She lifts Alejandra up… QUEEN’S WRATH! THE DOUBLE KNEES CONNECT! Aspen, Phillips, and Rousseau raise their hands into the air as we fade to commercial break after this huge news.
