![]() WARZONE: SEATTLE LIVE FROM THE KEY ARENA - SEATTLE, WA SATURDAY - DECEMBER 2, 2017 As opposed to recent episodes, there's a couple of things special about tonight's Warzone: Seattle event; 1. The arena is well lit, and mostly full; most recent shows had been in venues that were portioned off, and with less lighting to avoid showing the crowds smaller than expected. 2. There's actually a small pyrotechnic display to kick the show off, and the commentary team go over the big matches of the night; all three Beat The Clock matches, the 15 Title Instant Opportunity Match (and the immediate title match after), the Tag Titles on the line, and of course, the main event of Liam Callaghan defending his PNW Championship against Rose. They briefly discuss Liam missing the show the week before, before being interrupted by the theme of Jackson Fleck, hailing the start of our first contest!
Bobby B. Barabbas entered the ring, holding his client's arm high as he had set the pace, and not an easy one at just over 11 minutes, for Cali-Kate, Mistress Vivi, Rhiannon, and Sophia Pike to try and beat. -- “Well that was interesting.” The voice is soft, almost gentle at first as Tabitha Tremont better steps into the light as she gets ready for her upcoming match against Nico Costello. On the small monitor near her, Ramsay Bodach and Jackson Fleck are trying to beat the other as quickly as they can to win their Beat The Clock match. While she’s talking, Tabby finishes lacing her boots, her voice a little compressed as she bends with her foot braced on the bench. “I mean the tag match that I was in last week, of course. I can’t say that I’m not impressed in some kinda way over what Veeka Manns did, but it told me a few things about her that I’m not sure she believes about herself. I mean, isn’t it what they say, that a Champion is there for a reason? Well, it’s true… to a degree. I know what I’m talking about, I’m a Champion too, over in Portland Pro. I know some of the fans here in Seattle tonight, they know who I am. They know the odds I had to overcome, and who I had to defeat to gain the Crossfire Championship. And you know, it’s taking me some time to get my footing here, but I understand that too. All these new faces, people I’ve never been around or heard of until I came here.” Tabby finishes with her laces, straightens up and nods. “Nico, I’m excited about facing you. You may be more of a rookie than I think I ever was, but you’ve got something real. You’ve got heart, and you’ve got this sort of passion in your eyes for what we do out there that a lot of people never have. I know, going into this match with me, you’re going to give it all you’ve got and worry about Veeka later, because you know you might not have the key to take me down, and you know what I can do. Veeka, she’s something I understand well, someone I think if I can get her to wrestle on my terms, I can take her. I also know that won’t be easy to do, but I want that chance to try it. That means I have to go through you, Nico. But you know, I’m not a jerk. I’m not going to go out there and break the rules and try to hurt you.” Tabby sees the match and it looks to be winding to a close, so she heads for the doorway. “I’ll see you out there Nico. No matter which of us wins - well, hopefully we’re going in hot to face Veeka. It needs to happen that way.” Backstage, we find PNW’s own backstage interviewer extraordinaire Felicity Kingcade, standing by with Nicholas Gray, who’s in the middle of some last-minute stretches before his match tonight against Jacob Daniels, though he respectfully pauses that to give Kingcade his full attention. First, she asks him how he’s doing after last week’s Warzone, that saw him on the receiving end both of KONSTANTINE’s Point Blank and Jacob Daniels’ Stir of Echoes, as he endured a beating from both large men. Gray was honest, he was still feeling some of that. It had been years since he’d taken a beating like that, and his body was not yet adjusting to that being a regular thing again. But he said not to worry, he couldn’t let that get in the way of his performance tonight, and so it wouldn’t. Kingcade wanted to stay on last week’s match however, bringing up the valiant effort he made while the last man against KONSTANTINE and Daniels, kicking out of the Point Blank and getting his foot up after Daniels smashed him down again. But despite that, there were still boos for him after. Was he surprised to hear those, after the effort he put out? Gray’s initial response to that was simple, blunt, one word. No. No, he wasn’t surprised, that was what he expected. One valiant showing, a dozen, wouldn’t make anyone forget. And, really, it had been at that moment that Gray realized that Jacob Daniels might be brilliant. Coming in to PNW, he looked at the whole roster and chose Gray to be the one he would beat on to try and make a statement. To introduce him to the audience and show the roster what he was capable of, he chose Gray. And that was brilliant. Because, after all, it meant that he could do anything, no matter what it was, to Gray...and not worry about any kind of reprisal. The fans watching wouldn’t boo him for beating on Gray, because it was what they wanted to see too. Gray had no friends on this roster, so he didn’t have to worry about anything from them. Daniels could do anything, show off what he was capable of to the extreme, and not fear a single thing in response...because it was being done to Nicholas Gray. It was smart, it was brilliant, and Gray applauded it. But now was the time where Daniels was going to learn something. Gray was an easy target, yeah. He was someone that no one was going to stick up for, yeah. But now that the beatings had come and gone, that he’d done all the showing off of what he could do to someone, there was one thing Daniels had left to do, and that was beat Gray. And after everything, letting Daniels getting that was the last thing Gray would allow to happen. Daniels was big, impressive, and destructive. But now came the part where the only thing he had to rely on was himself, face to face, no one waiting behind Gray to spear him down. It was just the two of them. Because you know what would be unfortunate, Gray asked. It’d be unfortunate if after everything Daniels did and said, after calling him a part-timer just because he didn’t tweet, he’d look at his worst if Daniels didn’t win. If after all that, when the moment came, when he had to put a period onto everything and prove to everyone that he was what he thought he was, he lost to Gray... Wouldn’t that be unfortunate? Gray smiled for the camera, and said he’d see Daniels soon, before walking off.
Daniels sneered down at Nicholas Gray, his message clear; he's not just a man, or a beast, but a force of nature that will need to be reckoned with sooner rather than later! The sound of glass shattering is what first fills your ears, from an unknown source. As the video pops into view, one half of the Murder City Saints, RAZE, is standing by himself in the dark. His tangled maze is even more wild than before, as he looks around, wide-eyed. A moment later and he picked up an empty beer bottle, smashing it across his head. There is where his partner, Wade Manson, walks into the scene. He doesn't seem too bothered though, calm even. Wade Manson: "Calm down, RAZE, what the hell are you doing?" RAZE: "I'm preparing myself, Wade. Preparing myself for war." He picked up another empty bottle, ready to smash it across his head, before Wade reaches out and stops him. Wade Manson: "I see that, bud. You can practically taste the CWC World Tag Team titles at our finger tips, we're so close to capturing them for ourselves. The Dragon Clan don't know who we are, don't know what we're about, and we have an advantage there. How do you explain what you're doing right now to be an advantage?" RAZE: "Pain tolerance." Wade went to open his mouth, expecting to retort whatever reason that RAZE had come up with. Though, he found it to be a good one. Wade Manson: "That actually kind of makes sense..." RAZE rose the bottle above his head again. Wade Manson: "Wait, wait, wait. I see your point, but let's save this for after Warzone: Seattle. That tag team battle royal, to name a new PNW Tag Team number one contender, it has our names written all over it. Alone, you basically eliminated one of the teams we're facing. Let's use that match as a warm-up. Several teams to fend off, are nothing compared to The Dragon Clan. Then, when we meet them in the ring, we'll surely be ready to take those belts off their waists!" RAZE thought about it for a moment, Wade's speech sounding logical and serious. Though, he smashed the bottle against his head anyway. Wade sighed. Wade Manson: "Suit yourself..." RAZE: "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" Fade to... Backstage at the Key Arena eyes are on and heads are turning as a gorgeous set of blonde twins walk towards the gorilla position, chatting with each other before they turn megawatt smiles to the various techs and crew - they’re looking to obviously dazzle as they are guests here for this show, hoping to be the team that wins the upcoming Tag Team Title Contender Battle Royal. They link arms as they walk, wearing identical Dreamsicle Orange and Cream outfits tonight much as they have been seen in at Liberty Pro shows. They find a cameraman and wave him over, he’s quite eager, the camera bouncing as he comes up to them and starts to film. Coral Azul: Hello Pacific Northwest Wrestling! I’m Coral Azul and this is my sister Nami. We’re no strangers to the Best Coast of course, though it’s been awhile since we’ve been here in Seattle! We’re THRILLED… Nami Azul: Really, we’re just beside ourselves… Coral Azul: Thrilled though, about this huge opportunity. We are glad that we were able to come here, and get a chance to show off our skills - we only recently as a matter of fact actually had a loss and we’re determined to keep those pesky things at a bare minimum! They giggle and bounce in place, to a degree that Coral stops to adjust her top before continuing. Coral Azul: No matter what the naysayers say, we earn our way. We can actually wrestle, we’re actually as good as we think we are and how many people can say that? Nami Azul: Not freaking many, that’s who. We were trained to be the best. To be ruthless in every way possible, by a guy that believed that we could really make an endless Summer in this business. Both girls give a relatively serious look to the camera. Coral Azul: Imagine that. They grin then and skip off towards the curtains.
Tabitha rose to her feet, immediately looking for three things; to help Nico up, to be ready for Veeka, and to find and question Ensign Cooper for her involvement in the match, no matter how indirect. She managed...none. Cooper was gone, almost as oddly as she had appeared, and before Tremont could help her vanquished opponent up, she was ambushed by the 15 Champion! Veeka Manns had already hit the ring, and was beating down her new #1 Contender, kicking their match off on the advantage!
Veeka backed her way up the aisle with her title, laughing at her challenger as Tabitha Tremont, exhausted and frustrated, could only look on. The camera cut backstage we go into the dressing room of the challenger for the PNW Championship Rose working on her strikes as she hit punching mitts held by one of her managers Michelle Watson. The other Lisa Edwards was looking on as she did this and nodding. Lisa Edwards: Yeah that’s it! Rose then drilled a pad hard sending it off Michelle hand. Lisa walked over and picked up the pad. Lisa Edwards: I think that’s a sign that pad work is done for the time being. Rose let out a chuckle as Michelle took off the second pad. She put it down on a nearby bench as she did Lisa walked over and put her hands on Rose’s arms. Lisa Edwards: Look Rose I’m not exactly one for speeches or making a big song or dance about things but tonight this is the single biggest match of your career. You have always told me you want to show the world your talent and that no matter who was put in front of you that you would overcome them. There have been times that hasn’t happened but you never let that stop you. Rose nodded at Lisa as she said this. Lisa Edwards: Tonight against Liam you will have doubts and there will be moments where you question yourself but at the end of the day you got on guts and heart. The world look at you and said you would be nothing yet you ignored it to prove yourself. Listen the truth is win or lose tonight you are a champion to me! However knowing you like I know you then tonight you will once again prove that you are the best and that when people look back on this event in history it will say that on this night there was a new CWC PNW Champion and she was the beautiful and deadly Rose! Rose balled up her right fist and slammed it into her left hand. Michelle Watson: It’s your night Rose! It’s your night. Rose just looked at the pair. Rose: Damn right it is. The show returns and “Reise, Reise” by Rammstein hits. The arena darkens a little and the screens light up with flames and the images of a dragon with wings outstretched against them. Moments later, the Dragon Clan, Eric and Lyra Donavan, come out onto the stage to an impressive reaction, the CWC World Tag Team Championships over their shoulders. They pause at the top of the ramp and hold the belts up high as the lights come up in red and orange around the white strobes while they make their way down to the ring. Upon reaching it, they ascend the steps and Eric holds the ropes for his wife to enter before stepping in himself. Lyra moves to the far side, gathering a pair of microphones as “Reise, Reise” fades out, the fans still cheering a few moments after the notes end. The Irish Dragon gives them a moment to calm before he speaks up. Eric Donavan: Well… it seems that most of you know who we are, but for those that don’t, we are the Dragon Clan, the reigning CWC World Tag Team Champions. The belts are held up again to another positive reaction. Lyra is the one to speak up next. Lyra LeVeux-Donavan: Fresh from the disappointing end to Hollywood Pro, a territory that passed on well before it’s time. One worthy of more than a moment’s silence… except that we’ve done enough mourning over the last few weeks. Eric Donavan: I couldn’t agree more. Some of the stars moved on to other territories and some hung up the boots. And to each their own. Where it concerns Lyra and I, there was a lot of unfinished business between ourselves and several others in HPW, but now that’s all a memory. It’s time to look to the future. HPW may be gone, but we are not… and neither are these championships. In fact, very soon, we’ll be defending them against the Murder City Saints… Quite the reaction for that team as well, something that Eric receives with a smirk while Lyra slowly strokes the championship over her black-clad shoulder. Eric Donavan: ...and gentlemen, we hope you’re ready for a red Christmas, because these belts aren’t going anywhere. We’ve never met a challenge we wouldn’t face head-on, and the more dangerous the opponents, the more intense we get in response. Lyra LeVeux-Donavan: You’re going to burn, boys. That’s just how it is. And when we’re done with you, it’s our hope that the people who run PNW won’t let us sit idly by. Line up every team you’ve got and one at a time we’ll take them on. The best team in the CWC is now part of PNW and it’s time to remind people of that standard. The fans like the sound of this and Eric gives them a few moments to get it out of their systems before he lifts his microphone again. Eric Donavan: See you at War on Christmas, gentlemen. “Reise, Reise” hits again as Eric holds the ropes for his wife, then exits and heads up the ramp with her, the titles held up high. The scene switches to backstage where Felicity Kingcade is standing by. Felicity: My guest at this time, the “Geekette Extraordinaire” Cali-Kate. Kate steps into view of the camera with a smile. Felicity: Kate, next week you will be representing PNW as it stands now before the merger with Hollywood in the US title match. What exactly are your feelings? Kate: There’s a lot of feelings running through my head, my aversion to the previous holder, my preparation for any of the competitors I could potentially face. To be very blunt, this is a rollercoaster of emotion for me. This isn’t just another big show type match, not some randomly queued dungeon run, this is the kind of thing people work careers for. I’m just glad to get this opportunity. Felicity: But are you feeling any pressure to win given some of your statements recently? Kate: Pressure comes with the territory. You don’t truly add or take away pressure by the things you say. Thinking like that is a certain way to trip you up and cause you to make mistakes. So am I feeling pressure? That answer is a resounding yes, but I won’t let it get to me, not when I have so much to prove. Felicity: Like you will need to prove tonight against Vivi. Kate’s smile grows even bigger and she shakes her head. Kate: You know it’s funny you should go from pressure and championships to that particular subject. Let’s break this down a bit: every roster member knows the Champion’s Advantage, where the title doesn’t change hands by disqualification or countout. The match Little Miss Vivi and I are in is in a perfect position, the second of three Beat The Clock challenges tonight, which takes a lot of pressure off me. See, Vivi is so convinced of her own superiority at this point that she thinks she could pin me or make me tap in some short amount of time to win this whole thing. Better than her have tried and failed. So to me, if I don’t win, and I will be looking for every opportunity to do so no matter what, as long as she doesn’t win, that’s still a victory for me. Maybe not in the record book and that’s fine. So I call this particular match, Kate’s Advantage, because even though I’ll be fighting my hardest, any result that isn’t her win with a shorter time is still a dungeon clear for me. Kate throws an assured wink at Felicity and walks off as the scene fades back to the ring, where most of the tag teams for the upcoming battle royal are already in the ring, itching to start their match. Team OVERKILL!! is just entering the ring when O.G. Williams steps out onto the stage. He acknowledges to the fans that the merger of PNW and Hollywood Pro is complete, and with that, he has one more addition to make to this match... Jacob and Holly Hammerstein! The couple make their way out, the fans reacting to the pair as OG waves them on to the ring with a smile and a nod.
We turn backstage where Current PNW interviewer, Felicity Kingcade is on standby with a smile on her face and a microphone in hand. She looks to take in a deep breath, slowly bringing the microphone over to her face. Felicity Kingcade: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome none other than Michael Kelly. Michael Kelly walks into the shot donning his leather jacket and ring gear, flanked by his wife, Brittany Kelly with a giant grin on his face as he’s caught off guard by the roar of the fans inside the arena. There’s a clearly mixed reaction coming from the crowd, with PNW cheers outweighing the boos from the minority of the audience Michael: Wow, I didn’t really expect everyone to be so welcoming tonight, but while I’m here, YO SEATTLE!! HOW’S EVERYONE DOING TONIGHT!? You see that Ms. Kingcade? Michael reaches his arm out to show the goosebumps starting to form on his arm as well as the forearm hair standing up, showing his excitement for the show tonight. Michael: That’s why I do this thing. For reactions like that, positive or negative and if you don’t feel the same, then you’re probably not passionate about this business that I’ve spent OVER A DECADE killing myself for. Felicity: Well the first thing I wanted to talk to you tonight was abou.. Michael stops him in the middle of his sentence and nods his head. Michael: Lemme guess? You wanted to talk about my upcoming match against Christine, correct? Felicity nods and continues to look up at the towering Kelly as Michael goes on. Michael: Well, lemme take you back a few weeks, when I was THIS close to becoming 15 Champion in my PNW debut. The match was going great, I thought I had the best of Veeka Manns and then BOOM! Out comes Christine with her goon of a manager, they blindside me, Veeka takes advantage of that and seconds later, I lost the match. I lost the opportunity to become a champion in PNW, but as a veteran of this sport, I can tell you one thing and that’s that you should never let a win or loss define your career. In wrestling, you win and you lose, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that… But what’s wrong with my situation is that FOR SAVING a fellow member of the roster, I was brutally attacked and cheated of my shot. So for that, Christine, you and Sue York have my full attention… And you don’t wanna have my attention because now that you do, I will stop at nothing to figuratively rip your heads off and FORCE you both to understand that I am not one that you take opportunities from. I am not one that you can just play your little games with. Tonight, when you’re looking up at those lights, wondering how you got here, you’ll quickly realize what a HUGE mistake you’ve made. This is more than just a blood feud. This is personal. As it is etched in stone and written in the sands of time, Christine, your Date With Desti-Knee is coming up oh so soon. See you out there, Seattle. Michael grabs onto his wife’s hand and turns to look down at the much smaller interviewer Felicity Kingcade. Unzipping his jacket, Brittany and Michael soon walk out of the shot as Felicity looks into the camera. The shot of her fades, ending the segment. The scene moves to backstage where we find The Madsens talking about the events of the past few weeks. The mere mention of Gear Society was enough to get Sansa to start seething. She mentioned how she doesn’t like the mind games that Agatha Edison was trying to play, insisting that they were nothing more than childish and that Agatha should really have a lobotomy, failing to realize that there was no getting into Sansa’s head because she was a lover of all things chaotic but was sick of the games. Alexa rubbed his wife’s shoulders, telling her that everything was going to work out in their favor because of their constant wins together as a tag team. But the volatile Sansa wanted payback for GS’s last stunt, the attack before the match that cost them the win. It was then that Alex mentioned coming up with something but that they should do it when a camera wasn’t on them. Sansa’s head turned like something straight out of The Exorcist as the scene slowly faded out.

We cut backstage, where Felicity Kingcade is standing by with a slightly fidgety looking Scarlett, one of the wrestlers competing for a shot at the remaining 15 Champion, Veeka Manns. Felicity starts by, again, congratulating Scarlett on her win a couple weeks ago, against Britt Kane, that earned her the shot at become number one contender to the 15 Championship--and, for the first time, Scarlett actually smiles and looks proud of the victory. She mentions that Britt put up a very good fight, and that--for whatever it was worth--she was impressed by her opponent that night. And, more than anything, grateful that the match wasn’t interfered with, like had happened before. She rubs at the back of her neck a little bit, shrugging a shoulder and just hoping for more of the same tonight. When Felicty asks what Scarlett made of Veeka Manns’ lack of participation in last weeks elimination tag, the Spaniard again just shrugs her shoulders, admitting she doesn’t understand what the point of walking off was. There’s a bit of an awkward pause as Scarlett doesn’t seem to have much else to say on the topic, and eventually, Felicity moves on to the Spainard’s match for the evening: a triple threat, with Gage VL and Tay Kamryn. The Spaniard smiles a little bit, talking briefly about how both Gage and Tay were opponents she respected, and she was looking forward to a match that showed what all three could do. She took a breath to give herself a moment to pause, then admitted that she didn’t move halfway across the world just to come in second or third, and that she NEEDED the win tonight. This match was her chance to prove something, to herself as much as anything, and she couldn’t afford to let it slip by. There’s a moment where she even looks confident, but it’s replaced relatively quickly by a bit of a nervous smile, as she turns to leave, leaving Felicity to close the interview. A video package plays. Over the last month or so, the Gear Society (or at least, Agatha Edison) has been worried that their in-ring skills alone won't be able to beat Alex and Sansa Madsen, and that the Gear Society are going to lose their PNW Tag Team championship. Agatha claimed that the Gear Society needed mind games, needed something more... cerebral. In Moscow, Idaho, she put a wig and feather boa on Gear Gamma, calling him (deep inhale) Geardust. In Corvallis, Oregon, Agatha put on body paint and did a slow, methodical entrance to try and scare the Madsens, but the whole thing ended up taking too long and she had to be hauled out by her tag team partner. In Sacramento, Agatha Edison and Gear Gamma wandered down to the ring with fake beards and lanterns--which was going somewhere, until Gear Gamma broke a rocking chair. Last week, Gear Gamma finally put the brakes on the whole "mind games" plan, convincing Agatha that they didn't need to be in the Madsens' heads--that they can do this on their own, the same way they always do it (he did this without saying anything, because Gear Gamma doesn't talk). The video ends, and the PNW Tag Team champs are backstage. There's an interviewer, but Agatha quickly declares she does not need a squire to hold "the small wand of amplification" for her, and she politely takes the microphone. Agatha says that she and Gear Gamma are former Vortex Tag Team champions, former CWC Tag Team champions... and most importantly, the CURRENT and REIGNING PNW Tag Team champions. That might make them the best tag team in the entire CWC? Perhaps? She's not ran the numbers but she's pretty sure that's accurate. Agatha says that tonight, the Gear Society are going to beat the Madsens, and they're going to keep their large, ornate belts... because, while the Gear Society is apparently not that great at getting in peoples' heads, they are PROFOUNDLY good at beating people and having belts. Which, from what she's gathered, is what "these strange coliseum battles" are really all about.
The scene cuts backstage to Liam Callaghan standing in front of a camera, he already has his ring gear on, along with the PNW Undisputed Championship on his shoulder. Liam glances down at the belt and then back up at the camera. Liam Callaghan: I’ve heard the whispers, the questions about whether I’m a worthy champion here in PNW. It’s constant questions I’ve heard ever since I arrived here several months ago when PNW opened up. No matter what I’ve done, no matter who I’ve beaten, you’ve all continued to drag my name down despite the fact that I’ve worked harder than anyone here. Konstantine, one of the scariest dudes in the locker room, is a believer, and I made him that when I pinned his shoulders to the mat for the three count and if I have to do that to anyone else who doubts me? Then I will. Just because I’m a man who cares about his fiancee and would rather be their for her while she’s unconscious in the hospital than to fight a match, doesn’t mean that PNW isn’t important to me. Liam scoffs and shakes his head before looking down at the PNW Championship. He taps on the belt and nods before he glances back up at the camera. Liam Callaghan: You see this belt? It was me who went and beat Arcane for it when he stole it away from PNW and tried to bring it to REBELLION Pro. It was me who won it back for us and it’s been me who’s successfully defending it ever since. But since I did something human, since I cared for my future wife, suddenly I’m weak? Suddenly I’m not the champion that PNW deserves? I don’t think the fans agree with that sentiment and I know they have my back and understand. I know I let them and my colleagues down when I couldn’t wrestle last week but I’ll make up for it tonight. I wasn’t going to miss this for the world, I wasn’t going to miss defending my PNW Championship against Rose. Liam nods confidently. Liam Callaghan: But doesn’t isn’t just about me. It’s about the new era of PNW. It’s about all of this new talent coming in, it’s about new competition, it’s about us being better, being the best promotion in CWC. PNW has been overlooked for too long and tonight, we’re going to put on a show and make a stand to show that we’re one of the best territories. I know that tonight is going to show that because I know Rose is ready to bring a fight but guess what? When the odds are stacked against me, I thrive. Nobody thought that I’d be standing here right now but here I am and I’m going to continue to stand tall as your champion. Liam steps forward, his eyes glued to the camera. Liam Callaghan: Let me make one thing clear though, tonight isn’t just about me. It’s about PNW and it’s fans, it’s about putting a show for them. It’s also about showing that no matter what adversity comes your way… He pauses as he looks down and sighs for a few moments, before he glances back up at the camera. Liam Callaghan: It’s about showing that no matter what adversity hits, as long as you have people who believe in you, you can get through it and do anything. Last week was the hardest week of my life, as I had to sit at my fiancee’s bedside while she was battling a collapsed lung, among other injuries. She’s okay now but I wasn’t sure if she would be and it was so fucking hard seeing her like that. It hurt that people questioned commitment to PNW because I stuck by my family. But now? I’m using it as motivation because tonight… I prove that I’m worthy of being the PNW Undisputed Champion and that this belt of mine? Liam taps it again, a smile forming on his face finally. Liam Callaghan: It’s going to take more than your best to take it from me. Rose, I respect what you bring to the ring, but simply put, you’re not better than me. Maybe one day you will be, maybe one day you’ll have what it takes but today isn’t that day. I’ll see you in the ring. Liam nods and walks away from the scene before it fades out.
We move backstage, to an empty locker room, where one of the last remaining contestants in the Beat the Clock challenge, Sophia Pike, is sitting, casually taping her wrists in preparation for her match. She glances up at the camera and smirks a little bit, commenting on the Beat the Clock Challenge to this point--from the qualifiers, to the less than inspiring group that’s made its way up to Seattle, to the fact that she’s now competing to beat Ramsay Bodach’s time. A coy little smirk paints itself on the Emerald City Siren’s face as she reminds Ramsay that, while he might have the backing of the Hipster City, that he’s “not in Portland anymore, Toto.” Sophia reminds both Ramsay Bodach, and her opponent for the evening, Rhiannon, that “Seattle is MY town,” a statement that’s interrupted by the sound of the fans cheering the sentiment. Even Sophia has to stop and chuckle to herself a little bit, before looking back at the camera. She insists there’s only one way for the night to go--and it does NOT include Rhiannon beating her, nor does it include Ramsay Bodach’s time holding up. The only way the evening’s going to end is a face off between whoever wins the title match...and Sophia Pike herself. She warns Rhiannon that the smartest thing she could do is forfeit the match and make life easier on herself--save her arm, save her health, and go compete for the 15 Championship or whatever else caught her eye. The Siren smirks a little bit before finishing her threat: if Rhiannon DOES come to compete, it only ends in pain and suffering. She takes a second’s pause, holding up a finger to keep the camera in place. Her smirk turns into an actual smile as she addresses either of the potential PNW Champions, come the end of the night...and her message for either of them is pretty simple. “WHEN I win this thing...keep MY belt polished.” Backstage after their brief in-ring declarations, the Dragon Clan are shown backstage at the Key Arena making their way through the halls. They do not appear to have a destination if their leisurely pace is anything to go by. A few crew members greet them as they pass, greetings to which Eric and Lyra respond kindly. It would appear based on just what is seen that they are, if nothing else, welcome in PNW. As they come around a corner, the sounds of slow applause can be heard. Lyra stops, rolling her eyes a bit and shaking her head with a faint smile. Eric, smirking as he does so well, inclines his head in the direction of those as yet unseen. ?: Already out in front of the masses making promises and riling up the good people, eh? You Donavans just don’t believe in wasting time. The smirk gets a little deeper and Eric slips off his sunglasses, tucking them in his jacket pocket. Eric Donavan: Holly Hammerstein as I live and breathe. I was hoping we’d run into you. And Jacob as well. The camera pans around and the fans immediately recognize both the Hammersteins, also expatriates from the dearly-departed HPW. The history between these four is well-known but it would appear that as things stand now there’s no hard feelings. Eric comes forward and shakes Jacob’s hand firmly while Lyra and Holly exchange quiet pleasantries. Then they switch. Then the Dragon Clan tries to keep things from getting awkward. Eric Donavan: Glad to see you two made it here all right. What do you think so far? Jacob Hammerstein: I thought HPW was wacky, but some of these PNW dudes? They’re off the charts, bro. Like, mustard-level crazy! All four snicker and laugh at that comment, a call-back to a very wild cookout held in HPW once upon a time. That they can all find the humor in it is a good sign, as it means there’s no hard feelings. Holly Hammerstein: Fertile ground for new beginnings, wouldn’t you say? There’s no doubt that the Hammersteins are eying those CWC World Tag Team Titles. The Donavans, however, do not flinch. Lyra LeVeux-Donavan: Oh, certainly. But I do believe there’s someone missing… ?: Nice save, Lyra. A moment later, Samantha Tolson comes into view, and another boom from out in the arena is heard backstage. Sam certainly hears it and it brings a smile to her lips. Greetings are once again exchanged as the prolific young woman joins the conversation with her fellow HPW alumnus. Sam Tolson: I was about to feel left out. Eric Donavan: Do you really think we’d do that? Sam Tolson: I don’t think it’s beyond anyone, Eric. These days, it’s like people have no concept of camaraderie or respect. It’s all about what you can do for them, not the other way around. Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that way here. Jacob rubs his chin thoughtfully, seeming to be poring over that statement. Holly, on the other hand, looks amused. Holly Hammerstein: They shouldn’t be worried about what we’ll do FOR them. They should be worried about what we’ll do TO them. I don’t know about you guys, but having to scramble to find a way to pay the bills when Hollywood Pro closed up like a venus flytrap didn’t feel good. And I’ll be darned if I’m going to let that happen again. PNW is about to see what Jacob and I can really do because we’re not going to be uprooted again. Jacob Hammerstein: And we don’t care who we have to go through to send that message. That includes you guys. No offense intended, but I’m with my lady here; whatever it takes, by any means necessary. Folding her arms, Tolson grins slightly at the Hammersteins, nodding in agreement. Sam Tolson: Couldn’t have put it better myself. Of course, the dragons here don’t really have to worry about that, do they? I mean… look at the hardware. Five sets of eyes go to the tag titles again. Yes, the champions’ eyes included. Then the five lock stares again. Eric, his smirk a memory, speaks very calmly and smoothly… a bit of a sign. Eric Donavan: Don’t we? I can walk out there or back here and claim that we’re the best damn tag team around but it doesn’t mean anything if Lyra and I don’t go out there and prove it. We’re the best tag team around because we believe it and bust our humps to prove it. That rub goes to these titles and makes them better by proximity. We don’t slack up or slow down for even a moment because if we do? They’re gone. Nodding in agreement, Lyra speaks up now. Lyra LeVeux-Donavan: In essence, we have as much fire under our butts as you three do. And we have twice as much to prove. This is all that’s left of Hollywood Pro and, unfortunately for PNW, it’s also the best of Hollywood Pro. The way we see it, that gives us common ground and a lot of reason to watch out for one another. We’re the strangers in a foreign land now. All eyes are on us and the targets on our backs. Eric Donavan: And like the old saying goes, don’t hunt what you can’t kill. You see what we’re getting at? The Hammersteins and Tolson exchange glances, nod, then turn back to the Dragon Clan. Eric slides his shades back on. Eric Donavan: Good. We’ll see you after the show, then. Dinner and drinks on us. Then we’ll get down to business. The five separate then with the Clan moving on in the direction they were already traveling while the Hammersteins and Sam Tolson go their own way.
“Rain” begins to play in the arena, which draws a mixed reaction. Devin KONSTANTINE, The PNW staple, one of the original brand members before all the mergers and signings, steps out towards the ring. Gone is the white face paint that many have come to connect with the Last King. As KONSTANTINE makes his way into the ring, he totes a microphone in his hand. Sauntering around, he finally speaks up. KONSTANTINE: I don’t have much words to say on the hypocrisy that has been driving PNW since the changes. People have been shoved into positions that others have worked hard for, and while they sit there and let it happen--I remain here as one of the sole people that brought PNW to life. There is a moderate cheer over his words. KONSTANTINE: I will only say this once and it should happen because the facts are there. I demand that I be put into this Beat the Clock Challenge. While the dregs of humanity, the new toys that Williams brought in, get baseless chances, I’m meant to tend to the young flock and wait out the growing pains? There is a deep scowl in the Last King’s voice. KONSTANTINE: Ridiculous. There is a brief pause. KONSTANTINE: As I’ve stated, if I had to get pushed to this point, then all I need to do is to flip that proverbial switch and make sure that no one survives. I’ve had it with these games. So as of right now, I’m coming for all of you-- There's a buzz from the crowd, one that draws KONSTANTINE's attention to the entry way, where NICHOLAS GRAY is, with a couple of referees trying to stop him, heading toward the ring. A handful of fans are just happy to see someone here to shut KONSTANTINE up, but most are non-plussed at one of the...less popular options who has decided to interrupt him. Gray, with the camera on him, can be heard yelling at his target that he'll take him on. He hits the ring, and the two trade blows, falling out of the ring! The referees that had tried to stop Gray from entering the ring try to pull them apart, but they're of little use, as both men lay them out with punches before resuming their fight with each other. As they fight, a handful of fans can actually be heard chanting "WE WANT NICO!" More officials pour out from the back, O.G. Williams among them, as they finally separate KONSTANTINE and Gray from each other, and we cut away as order is (hopefully) restored. The announcers recapped the first two Beat The Clock matches, setting the stage for the third and final match.
That shot of the time drew another loud roar from the crowd, and Sophia, with an almost mocking "salute" to Rhiannon, left the ring with a smirk on her face, having secured her spot as the new #1 Contender to whoever walked out of tonight's main event with the PNW Championship... As the crowd seems to settle for the main event, a familiar theme to Seattle wrestling fans hits, and out comes an all too familiar face... ROBB DANIELS: Hello Seattle! No need to check your television settings. You’re right this isn’t Seattle Pro and Yes, I am the Headliner—Robb Daniels. He paces back and forth with one hand in his pocket and the other holding the microphone. ROBB DANIELS: See, I’ve wrestled all over the world and held Championships from Knoxville to England. Now Key Arena is a very special arena and I believe there is no better place for me to walk the aisle and get back in the ring than right here in Pacific Northwest Wrestling! [DAN—IELS] [DAN—IELS] [DAN—IELS] [DAN—IELS] [DAN—IELS] ROBB DANIELS: So in two weeks, I’ll have my first match in a PNW ring and I am issuing an open challenge to anyone who wants to keep their place on the totem pole because I’m here to pick a part each and every person in the back until I’m the man standing tall with Championship gold around my waist. The fans cheer as the new debutante, Robb Daniels, leaves the ring and heads to the back, and the announcers throw to a video package reflecting on tonight's main event!
Liam rose to his feet, worn down as the PNW Title was handed to him. He was afforded a brief moment of celebration, before "Dirty Angel" hit to a loud pop, and Liam's next challenger Sophia Pike returned to the ring in the Key Arena, coming face to face with her next target, and playfully brushing dust off the belt on Callaghan's shoulder. A dueling chant of "Let's Go Li-Am!" and "So-Phi-Ah!" heralded the end of this Warzone. |
