Two poems that I wrote, both were inspired by areas around both West Haven and New Haven. The second one for some reason ended up having Bleach overtones to it, specifically about Byakuya. Midnight Nonsense The air is soft and dark. Red lights playing over my haven. Bridges of forged stone blotting the sky. Ebony tresses of asphalt beneath worn geta. The eyes above shimmer with tempered soul. Windborne summer dust tangles with moonlight. TV lights flicker sensual and sweet. The city grit is my love, and the night is my Haven. Echo Blossom Fragrant snow shimmers on a sun warmed court. The avenue straight and broad. Jutting, rigid cracks in unmovable stone. Grass challenges the structure. Memories with tumbled down visage. Mural of a tragedy on an empty fort. Ever moving illusion hides the devastation of the paupers from the noble. The sun abandons the sky. In his anguish, the heavens rain blades. |
