Healing Wind

The sky was as blue as it could be, there were no clouds and the sun shun brightly down on the earth, but… our current location is far from the earth, above the clouds and above God’s head: a most fascinating time; a time where humans evolved from their modest homes on earth to the great citadels in the sky, West city, one of the most prosperous cities on earth, one of the few that inhabits both humans and alien alike. They live in peace, not total peace but they manage to stand each others presence. Though not many have the chance to live up in the air, with the mythical creatures, many are stuck down below…. They both love their land and do not want to part with it, or they are too poor to live in the floating cities. It is indeed a technologically advanced time period, but nevertheless, some things never change. The poor are always below the rich, seems like that situation will never change, no matter how many revolutions… No matter how many battles, no matter… it is faith. On the bus terminal a large flying metal machine docks and many citizens walk out and following an invisible line like a herd, they all head into one direction, pick up their bags, talk, leave, wait, the usual when arriving from a new location. From the top of the weird ship a figure jumps down on the deck, it is carrying a large guitar case, while carrying a backpack. He casually walks down the deck and follows the many others. He sighs of relief. “That was close…” He runs his glove protected hand through his mahogany hair and blends into the crowd. He looked human, in his passport it says he is human and by many it is said that he has the ki of a human, which is almost none. He, however, is not a human. He was the spirit of a twenty thousand years old demon that refused his faith and took shelter in a human body. He possessed a human foetus minutes before the contractions and he was reborn. He was now 21, was known as man and could do what he wanted. He spent most of his money on a way to get to West city; he had a job interview here and if all went well… He smiles as he walks through the crowd and toward the exit, but before that he had to put his back in a device to make sure it was okay. He was in trouble; he was here in West city to teach… He was a teacher in his demon life and that was one of the few skills he could use to make money. “My sword… it’ll be….” He says below his breath, worried that they’ll imprison him as a terrorist for bringing a weapon to the city. He had to think of a way to get out of it… but how? He quickly looks around but time is running short as there was nowhere to go, the many living creatures blocked his path and pushed him forward. He frantically tries to push back, but it was no use without his demonic powers and they added a rule about ki users in the airport. He is finally standing in front of a short, bald, stubby man. He pushes back his glasses on his nose and asks in a nasal voice. “May I verify the goods in your bag?” he asked. The man froze and didn’t answer. The little man asked again but in a different alien language. He hesitates for awhile before submitting and handing the bag to the short man. He proceeds to look through it thoroughly and gives it back. “And your case?” The man gives a small smile and an explosion was heard afar. The ki detector activates and the people are running amok and screaming. One of the machines blew up and it was a ki user, before the short stubby man realizes what’s going on, the tall man that stood before him had disappeared and was gone. He was found in an alleyway a few blocks from there; he stands against the wall and slides down to a sitting position. He is panting heavily and his face is covered in sweat. It was risky. He had to buy some time before is almost non-existent ki blast reached the delicate high-tech machine. It was a risky thing to do, but luckily he made it… He brings the case to his knees and slowly opens it. He places one hand inside and takes out a shiny sword, while holding the sword he puts on the holster. He throws the case deeper in the alleyway; he did not need it anymore. He swings the sword around and slowly places it in the holster on his back. He stands up and jumps against the wall to land on the rooftop, he spots the airport behind him… Stepping up to the edge he hopes nobody was injured… “Gah… if only I was more careful...” he looks up at the orange sky…. The sun was setting, but he still had a few days before his interview…. He suddenly turns around and looks all over the place searching for something… |

Name: Zuka Uragami Alias: Blood Letter Race: Ryne Transformations: Gender: Male Age: 28 Height: 6’6” Weight: 231 pounds Build: Well toned Eye color: Green Hair color: Black Hair style: Shoulder Length, one inch shaggy beard. Appearance: Zuka is a perfect example of a Ryne warrior, from head to toe. He is at his peak for physical condition and is just recently reaching the age at which he is at his youth meets his experience. Standing a towering six feet six inches over many of his opponent and weighing in at 231 pounds of raw muscle, midnight black hair and a shaggy beard, Zuka at first glance even appears to be an admirable opponent. Unlike many of his fellow Ryne brethren and sisters, Zuka hides his strength a lot more than expected. Doing his best over the years to keep a smaller figure than his peers, Zuka has been able to develop a balance line between strength and speed. Every muscle on his body has been through hell and high water to be toned to perfection, making him a powerful warrior on the battlefield. Scars line his tanned body, ranging from small cuts to large gashes. Some of the more noticeable ones are located on his right cheek, stretching from the bottom of the ear to the corner of his mouth, also a gash going diagonally down his back, from right shoulder to left hip. These are all signs of pride, signs that he could receive such a devastating wound and still be around to tell the tale of how he crushed that warriors skull. As for clothing, Zuka really doesn’t support much of a fashion sense. Black Gi outfit with various blood red marks on it, along with Ryne tongue written over the heart area, telling others what clan he is apart of. Black boots and black, fingerless gloves will finish off his usual attire, that is until he can get a hold of some quality armor. Personality: A cold blooded killer, with a heart blacker than the night sky. He believes himself to be superior to all other fighters, even if it has been proven that he is not. Zuka is without mercy and feeds on the fear which he causes others to undergo. His mind is one track--locate his prey, eliminate all opposition, kill the prey, then enjoy the spoils of war. Because of his training, Zuka will rarely show emotion, as it is believed to be a weakness among the Ryne breed. If there was to be an emotion, it would most likely be that of anger, vengeance, or raw hatred. Rarely will the presence of a smile ever cross his features, unless of course it was to mock his opponent. Zuka, like most Ryne‘s, will toy with his prey before actually killing it, hoping to get as most out of the fight has he possibly can. What else could be said about Zuka? He lives for the hunt and hunts to live. Alignment: Chaotic Evil Weapon(s): His bare hands, weapons are for cowards. Skill Type: Athletic Fighting Type: Aggressive - Completely Aggressive. Always going for the best ways to hurt a person, not wasting any time. People like this are usually big and powerful, but more often than not they are never very smart. Zenni: 1,000 Stats: Power Level: 3,600 Strength: 1,400 Endurance: 1,600 Intelligence: 700 Ki: 700 Will: 1,200 Speed: 1,600 Attacks: Renzoku Energy Dan - A continuous barrage of small chi balls/beams. Individually these attacks are rather weak, but when hundreds upon hundreds of them are slammed into an opponent at once, they can cause quite a bit of damage. Mouth Blast - Self explanatory really. A surprise blast of chi from the mouth, usually meant as almost a last ditch effort to get in a killing blow. Over Power - The ability place chi into his physical attacks, usually causing either his hands or feet to glow a crimson red color. Uprising - Not the technical name for the attack, but still suitable nonetheless. The attack itself isn’t that powerful, but it is very useful for catching opponents of guard or taking out a large number of weaker enemies. Zuka simply lifts his index and middle finger into the area, then causes a certain area of his desire to erupt in a blast of chi energy. Chi Sword - Another self explanatory attack. A three foot long sword is created on Zuka’s hand, left or right or both. Screamin’ Shield - Another unofficial name, but again suits it well. When a weak attack is incoming, Zuka will yell at the top of lungs, causing an inner explosion of chi which goes out through the sound waves. These waves shake the incoming chi attacks and send them flying out into various directions. Basically, its like a shield, but the attacks do not detonate anywhere close to Zuka. Techniques: Chi-based Flight - Yeah.. You know. Inability to Sense Chi - Zuka cannot sense Chi, plain and simple. Enhanced Primal Abilities - Sight, hearing, and smell. All of these attributes are increased. Pack Sense - Though naturally evil at heart and in human form most of the time, they still think along the lines of a pack. Everything they do is in a group, from combat to crafting, and when a Ryne is away from others of his kind for an extended period of time he begins to feel almost lonely. This causes him to unconsciously latch onto people, though his mind would rebel at the thought, and leaves a certain emotional instability that differs in it's extremes with each person. Instinct - Does not think about what happens, goes with his instincts at the moment. As you can imagine, this has benefits and disadvantages. Items: History: Born into one of the most under appreciated clans in the Ryne empire, it was a surprise to everyone that Zuka did as well as he did. Even as a young child, Zuka showed an incredible desire to be a powerful warrior. He was fast on his feet and let instinct go before thought. Granted, this sometimes lead to a mistake, but more times than not, Zuka was correct with his instinct. This special affinity made him a prized possession of his clan and he started ‘hunting’ at a far younger age than many of his peers. He traveled with the pack constantly, growing attached the group and growing stronger as the clan grew stronger. Soon, they went from an underdog (no pun intended) clan to one of the more powerful presences in the rebuilding Ryne empire. All of this before he was 15 years of age. An amazing feat by anyone’s standards. As the years passed, Zuka became more powerful, but at the same time more arrogant. As if clock work he would try to overthrow the clan leader, each time ending in a bloody defeat. This is how many of Zuka’s scars came to be, not from a foreign enemy, but from his own brethren. These constant loses during a power struggle left Zuka with an ill mannered temper. He fought anyone over the simplest things; from whose kill it was to who gets the last bite. This made many of his elders give him a second glance, seeing him as to not be the warrior they thought he was. Then again, others saw that this anger made him even more powerful than anyone could have ever imagined. At age 22, Zuka had believed to reach his peak of physical superiority over everyone in the clan. He defeated the present clan leader with ease, then for the next two years massacred all those that opposed his rule. He was on top of the world, until it call came crashing down on him. While on a routine assignment on a distant plant, Zuka was injected with a serum that had drastic effects on his well being. Everything that he had worked so hard to accomplish came crashing down in a blazing inferno. He was rushed back to the heard of the empire and was given all the medical attention that could be provided for him. In the end, it took 4 years for Zuka to rehabilitate back to fighting potential. All of his power had been drained in the ordeal to stay alive and he was now a mere shadow of his prior self. But he would not give up and he continued to grow stronger every year, knowing one day he would return to his former glory. His travels lead him and members of clan to the remote and newly formed planet of Earth. Here they hunt, trying to stay in the shadows as all of the events rotate around them. |

Nice. Really nice. In respect to Lin, I am going to have to ask you to change your physical description one bit to add the facial hair portion of the Ryne race. Ya, I know, picky as hell, but in respect to an admin who has shown great pride in this race.... Please? I can't force you, but I would rather the race be kept to as it was 'meant to be' sort of. Past that.... *thumbs up* I'm impressed. REALLY impressed. You prove that quantity isn't everything. I don't even have to correct any of your attacks, since none of them are super overpowerful. So, stats time buddy~! Power Level: 3,600 Strength: 1,400 Endurance: 1,600 Intelligence: 700 Ki: 700 Will: 1,200 Speed: 1,600 |

"She isn't real, I can't make her real...."
|
"That idiot store clerk.. He forgot my change......" Reisha sighed, picking through a small bag of tiny trinkets and other items. The large beige hat protected her eyes from the sun, And her ears from the public. She was nearing the West City airport, Though she was just going to take a short cut, Untill he passed an alley and saw a shimmering light in the corner of her eye. A dark figure caught her attention, It seemed to be a man and he was jumping up to the roof. Curious, Reisha followed this stranger. She slowly made her way up the fire escape that hung off the building. Her cat reflexes allowed her to move silently, Yet quickly as she reached the top and saw the figure facing the opposing direction. The man seemed to be looking for something, or maybe someone. Reisha dared not disturb this man, He was obviously armed and dangerous. |

The man places his hand on the handle of his sword as he slowly removes it. He keeps his eyes on the street below as he walks on the edge of the rooftop. He knew he felt something… He suddenly looks behind him and spots a figure. He spots his sword at it and it suddenly starts to glow crimson. He suddenly gets a clear view of what he was aiming and lowers his sword. “Who are you?” he asks emotionless. Could it be…? That his acts in the airport where spotted? That surely meant that someone was harmed… He takes a step backwards, turning his emotionless face into worried one. “I didn’t mean to…” he adds shaking his head. |

'Didn't mean to...?? Didn't mean to what?? This guy is a looney...' Reisha thought. The young demon kept silent, Her cat-like eyes were locked on this man. She felt a swift breeze comming, and it began to grow stronger. Reisha's hat became loose, and blew off. Reisha watched in horror as it fell to the ground."Oh, No!" Her ears perked straight up, she had been revealed. She ducked down again, climbing down a few ladders then finally jumping to the ground.' Hide.. Hide,... I need to find somewhere to hide!' |

The man eyes widened and he smiled. The cat-girl jumped down from the building and the man had vanished. He re-appears down below, right in front of her. He hums a little tune and looks down on her as he twirls a very familiar hat around his fingers. “A cat girl… How interesting…” he says admiring the creature before him. “I’ve read about you… West city… is truly a peculiar city… I think this belongs to you does it not. Miss….?” He asks as he returns to her the hat that was at the mercy of the wind. He suddenly forgot about the events before. She couldn’t be a guard, or else they’d be fighting now and now she was the frightened one… Anthro’s are supposed to have the same rights as humans, though there is some discrimination here and there… Some things sadly never change… |

Reisha grabs the hat, quickly pulling it far down on her head and over her eyes. She mumbled a soft,"Thanks" before turning on her heels to face the opening of the alley. There she stopped, staring into the faces of the towns folk passing the alleyway."That was a marvelous trick back there, They way you move so fast. I've never seen such a thing, not in a long time." The young demon began, turning her grinning features towards the man,"Your not human either, are you?" Clearly this man was a bit more sagacious than she, He had more experiance. No amuatuer could perform a task as agile and alert as this man that stood just a few feet behind Reisha. |

He chuckled of embarrassment. He wasn’t used to compliments. He was only criticized as a demon… Always punched down by his master and treated like trash, until he was reborn… 21 years of complimenting does not easily replace thousands of years of pushing down. He was about to leave the little Neko be, when she turned around and said those words. The man was shocked, but he shrugged it off with a chuckle. Seems he has been discovered, after 21 years in this human body, it was about time. “You are half correct…” He scratched the back of his head, trying to find the right words… “I was originally a demon, but I was given a second chance…” He finally said. He didn’t feel too comfortable talking about that… the words came out of his mouth on their own, while he was thinking of some lie… “And you are a Neko… right Reisha…?” He had involuntarily taken a peak inside her mind and discovered her name, he only realizes too late, but keeps a warm smile on his face. |

"hmm.. What?.. How did... my...you know my name?!? What are you, Some stalker freak!?!?" Reisha turned back to face the opening of the alley, A look of malice on her face. The young anthro girl walked back into the crowded streets, dissappearing amongst these city-dwelling humans. 'How dare he! Use my name like that.. He has no right... Reisha was gripping her bag so tightly, She could feel a small box being crushed. People on the streets began to stare. Reisha meerely let the crumbled bag, and it's contents, drop into a waste-disposal at her side. |

The man stared at the ground… How careless of him… He simply couldn’t let her go now…. They’ll probably meet again, and with that emotion growing inside of her… She might end up trying to kill, and he hated to kill... He loved the thrill of a good fight, but killing was something that was taboo to him. The man vanishes from the alleyway and a blur jumps through the alleyways as it makes it way toward the rooftops. It didn’t take long to catch up to her that he lands right in front of her. He waved his hands in front of his face. “I apologize for doing that… I had no right…please…” The thick crowd walked around him, as they didn’t notice his sudden appearance. City people… they were so distant, it was almost scary. “I am not a freak….” He said sadly… The last words she said before walking away pierced him. Some can grow immune to physical harm, but none was safe from the psychological ones and that was his main weakness… |

Reisha sighed, Of course they were freaks. Freaks of nature, Being one whole of two parts, It just wasn't right. "What I said might be a little harsh.. but.. Look, It's the truth. Species like you and me... We're different. Some people don't like that, and they make fun of us and turn us away from them. I would know, I'm sure most demons and Anthromorphs would know...." |

The man laughed again. « You say that as if only humans are capable of such harsh action… » He removed his glove and stared at his hand, images of his demon life flashed before his eyes. He clenched his fist as he snapped back to reality. “Humans aren’t the only one capable of such things… You are lucky; humans are nice compared to other races… You wouldn’t believe the pain I went trough…” He kept his eyes locked on her, but he wasn’t looking at her. He was imagining all the things that had been done to him in the past, none of them being when he became human… “I can empathise with the wrongdoing that you have suffered through the humans… but there is less in this city, or so it is said… but Demons have had it worse…” He looks in the horizon and the orange glow slowly disappears. “Nightfall…” he whispers… |

Reisha lowered her head, Unseen scars were being reopened as memories of a lost love filled her mind. "...You wouldn't beleive the pain I went through..." the man spoke. The anthro girl seemed not to noticed, her eyes were covered by the rim of her hat. She just stood, Silent, Still.tears began swelling up in her eyes, but no one could see. No one could tell. Reisha lifted a hand to her face, rubbing and blinking away the tears. 'No, not here... I can't show my weakness here... If I keep this up, i'll be depressed for days on end.' |

The man realizes what his words were doing. He did not mean to… Seems he is as helpless as the other races. He hides one eye underneath his palm. “It’s getting late and the city is dangerous at night… Would you mind if I escort you back to your home?” He asks, noticing the tears on the ground. He had to think of something else, he couldn’t stay depressed all his new life… He couldn’t forget his past either…. To think, if he hadn’t kept them, he might’ve turned up to be a normal human, or mocked because of his crimson eyes…. Now wasn’t the time to think of the past, the horrible past, that haunts her too. He removes his glove and extends a hand in her direction. “My name is Wackon, pleased to meet you.” He said with a smile. |

Reisha glanced up, revealing her bright red eyes. She slapped away Wackons hand abruptly."No, I challenge you to a duel." She smirked, Though she had no idea what this man was capable of. She took her hat off, throwing it to the ground. The sun was setting, the streets were almost bare. Here Reisha didn't have to wear any protective clothing, Not at all. She moved into a fighting position, Her ears had flattened against her head."But, to make this fight interesting, lets wage a gamble. If I win, You leave this city." |

He turns around, and stares at the Neko. “No flying and if I win, you become my student.” He laughs again as he runs toward his opponent. He swings his sword inches from her eyes and pulls it backward and replaces it with a glowing palm. He lets out a small ki blast from his palm. The blast shoudn't do her that much damage, unless she manages to avoid it. |

Reish' meerely blinked as the sword flew past her, Though she was a little suprised when the man launched a small Ki ball towards her. 'He's going easy on me, Isn't he? Or.. he's studiying my movements...Sly dog..' Reisha flipped backwards some, the Ki ball following the movements of her feet. It simply whissed past her as she regained her standing position. "No holding back, either. We're going head on, and since you're using weapons.. So will I." Reisha unsheathed her two discolored blades, holding them in an X formation untill she launched herself towards Wackon. "Dance of the blades!" reisha repeatedly swung the katana's at Wackon. |

“Me? Holding back? Do not be…. He paused as he brought his sword to block one of her swing. “..Ridiculous…” he added as he stepped backwards and blocks most of her attacks. He winces as he receives a cut on his shoulder. He lowers himself to one knee and blocks both her sword. “Pretty straightforward are we not?” He taunted as a ki shield envelops him and pushes her backwards. He touches his injury and his white glove became red. She has potential. He removes his gloves and stuffs them in his coat. He swings his blade three times in the air, and those three times a crimson crescent was formed and was heading for Reisha. “Might I add… those are very beautiful blades you are holding…” |

"I did say no holding back..." The young anthro girl compressed her two blades together, forming one spear. "They're even more beautifull as one, I do beleive." she replied, as the crescents came closer. She began spinning her spear around, a side-ways cyclone forming and holding the attacks back some. But this wouldn't last long, Reisha's arms began to grow tired and she could no longer hold the attacks back. They struck her one by one, untill she lay on her knees on the ground, one eye closed. "Heh heh, Your a worthy opponent...I can see our power isn't too far apart.. But don't let that fool you, I still intend to win." She got up slowly, running towards Wackon and pulling her blades apart again. She resheathed them, comming in closer to Wackon and creating a Ki ball in both of her palms. |
