The young shinobi was seen wandering through the house as he seemed to be looking for something. In his left hand was a piece of paper. His aunt, who was cooking lunch, saw him and smiled. What is that boy doing now, she thought. After a few minutes of searching, he stopped infront of her and handed her the piece of paper. He rubbed the back of his head as he says in a cheerful manner, " Is this some type of joke? How am I suppose to find him when he didn't leave me any clues?" The woman just smiled, now understanding what was going on. She patted Jei on the head as she leaned forward and whispered in his head. " He told me he was going to the library, maybe you should go look for him there?" Maybe he is gonna train me! YAY! Jei just nodded his head in agreement and rushed back to his room. He wanted to get his kunai and throwing stars just incase! The boy put on his goggles and grabbed a quick snack before heading out the door. He didn't want to waste his breathe by running to the place, so he took his time and just walked down the road. "Man o man, I bet he'll teach me a jutsu! Why else did he leave me a note to find him? Little did Jei know that this wasn't going to be a justu learning training. It held a certain purpose, which may annoy the boy at the end of the day, but it'll surely help him in the long run. |

The boy finally made it to the library within a matter of minutes as he walked into the building. He looked around, seeing a few random people here and there, but no sign of his uncle! Well now, didn't his aunt say that old man will be here? Maybe he left? Meh. Jei just walked up to the front office and looked at the young lady who was sitting in a chair. "Hey, did you see an old man walk in here?" "I've seen a lot of people, boy." "Hm. He's about 5'3, kinda funny looking, and he should have come in about a hour ago?" "Sorry, I can't help you." Jei just sighed! He wasn't very good at giving out details about people! If only he had a picture, he could show her! Oh wait, he did. the boy went into his pocket and pulled out his wallet. He searched through the pictures and found the most recent one. "See, see! This old man!" "Well...I saw him earlier, but he left about twenty minutes ago." "Oh crap! Where did he go?" "Do I look like I know? He spent his time talking to that guy over there, maybe he knows? I'm busy so if you don't mind, I need to finish this." Blah! Jei just turned around to see this guy sitting on a bench, reading a book. Jei had no idea who it was, but if that guy was the last person his uncle talked to, maybe he told him where he was going? This was annoying, damn it! |

Jei walked up to the man, who was still reading his book, and just sat beside him. He waited for a moment before turning toward him and saying, " So, you know my uncle?" The man just looked up from his book and seemed to just notice Jei sitting beside him! Well, he must have really been reading. He moved his glasses and tried to focus his eye sight on Jei before realizing who it was. "Oh boy! If it isn't little Jei." "I'm not little." "I haven't seen you since you were a wee baby." "Who are you?" "Just an old friend of your uncles." "He has friends? Wow." "Apparently my boy. What brings you here?" "I'm looking for him and was told he was coming here." "Oh! Thats right, he said something about that." ..... "What?" "He said you would come, my my...yes, you're suppose to read this book." The man grabbed a book that was laying on the other side and gave it to Jei. "The art of throwing ? But I know that already." "He said for you to read it and then to go to the park." "Blah! I'll just go to the park then." "You can if you want, he just told me to tell you that." "Well, maybe there is a reason, I'll just read the book." "Smart boy." Damn you, uncle! |

Jei just sighed as he looked at the book. It wasn't really that thick, so maybe it wasn't going to be a lot to read! Then he opened it and saw the small print. Well that kills that idea! It wasn't thick because someone wanted to trick people. Blah, he just looked at the man, who seemed to go back to reading his own book, and sighed once more. If this was some type of test, he knew his uncle would know if he didn't do it. Fine... Jei started reading it, which was a plus since he noticed some things that he was doing wrong! He needed to focus more and stop worrying about hitting the targets and just hit them. As he got deeper into the book, he realized that this may be a way of his uncle showing him how to get better as a shinobi? He wasn't the best when it came to throwing, but he always tried to over think things. Maybe he was overthinking it now? This may just be his uncle being a pain the ass. He turned a page and saw a piece of paper that was placed in the book. Jei just looked at it and smiled. So, this was why he had to read it? If he didn't, he would have went to the park for nothing! His uncle had placed a message inside of the book which told him to go to the ramen shop. So why did he tell this man otherwise? Damn it, this was so bloody confusing! He just finished reading the book and then handed it back to the man. "I guess I'll see you later." He just left as the man smiled. "I see why you speak so highly of him. He's gonna be a good one, just like his father." |

The young shinobi walked down the street and toward the ramen shop that he knew his uncle always seemed to eat at, figuring that was where he will find him! As he neared the shop, he quickly noticed what time it was! Blah, he was pretty hungry now, maybe he'll get a cup of ramen while he was here. He pushed aside the sheet and walked into the shop where he saw the chief seeming to cook the food, but there was no uncle! "Oh come on! This is getting stupid!!" Jei was getting a bit frustrated that his uncle was never at the place when he got there! He just sat down and looked at the guy, figuring he could tell him something. "Hey, have you seen my uncle?" While he didn't personally know this guy, he knew that his uncle came here a lot and knew who he was talking about. The guy just turned around and placed a bowl of ramen in front of him. "Of course, he came by here just a few minutes ago and bought himself some ramen. Here, he told me to give you this too." Jei just looked at the bowl and sighed. He was hungry, but he wanted to meet his uncle too! Hmm, maybe he wasn't lying to that other guy when he said to meet him at the park? Oh well, he'll just go there after he finishes this bowl of ramen. Mmmm, good stuff. Jei quickly ate it and it really hit the spot! Boy, this guy really knew how to cook! Jei realized why his uncle came here. He would never say it, but his aunt wasn't the best of cooks. Why didn't he tell Jei about thsi!?!?! Blah, Jei was going to get on him for hiding this secret. "Thanks!!" He finished the bowl and handed it to the man. Jei had to go to the park and in a hurry, hopefully finding his uncle there? If not, he was going to be kinda pissed! Well, this was ok in a way since he was having to use some of his ninja skills to track him down. |

Jei darted past the crowds of people as he made his way toward the park. He looked up at the sky and noticed he had been doing this little hunt for his uncle for a long time now! It was getting close to supper time! No wonder he was getting hungry. He just did his avoid the people as he speeds past them. He had to leap a few people and twist around some, but he made it to the park within a matter of minutes, which was quite a feat seeing as how it was a good distance away. Jei knew this would be hard to find him since the park was pretty damn big. He just started at the beginning and looked around. Jei had his picture out and went around asking random people if they seen him. Most just looked at him and shook their heads, not having a clue who he was or even who his uncle was! The city was so big that most of the people around these parts didn't know anyone where Jei lived. It was only natural that the different cultures seemed to stick close to each other. Jei just sighed as he continued to ask, getting the feeling that he was just wasting his time. Finally, he found someone. "Have you seen this man?" "I believe so." "Ok..thank...wait, what!" "I saw him a over there a few minutes ago." The woman pointing in the distance at a clearing. "Really! Thanks!" Jei bowed to her and turned on a heel as he rushed in the direction of the clearing. To his amazement, his uncle was sitting down on the other side of a tree, smoking his pipe as he smiled. Jei just walked up to him and sat down beside the old man. He just looked to him and said with a curious look, " Soooo, was that?" The man just cut him off as he nodded his head and said, " Yes, you did well. I was planning on you getting annoyed and just quitting. This wasn't a real mission, but you did well to ask people how to find me. Good job." The two just stayed together the remainer of the day, talking about all sorts of things. They two was starting to grow a very strong bond of friendship, one that wasn't there before. Jei never knew how 'cool' his uncle was, having never given him a chance before. Sadly enough, he looked to the man as his new father, but he would never tell him that. It was just a secret that he would keep to himself. This was a nice day after all. |
