Amongst a pile of books sat the small Uchiha. He hadn't had time to sit and train his mind like he had to stand and push his body to perfection. The boy turned page after page, soaking up knowledge about the many different arts of sealing. Not only were hand seals a way of concentrating chakra, but illustrations could be made to help contain things. It was an idea that Corey was familiar with since the concept of the Sanity Seal was made known to him. He moved his head back and yawned. It had been awhile since he had moved from that position.

He looked around, seeing his room for what it was: semi-dark and small. The light that came from a nearby lamp was enough to brighten the room. The boy moved from his chair and to his feet. He walked around the room, bringing his hands in front of his body. He started to practice the hand seals he knew. It wasn't the fact that hand seals were annoying to practice, but they were pointless in everything but the type of combat that he wanted to be successful with.

If it wasn't for the fact that the day was almost gone, Corey would have still been outside getting a physical workout. But it was getting late and he didn't want to be a part of the nightlife of the Mirage village. It wasn't the fact that he was scared of what was out there, it was the simple fact that he was tired of the coldness of the desert at night. It made him sick in some way that he didn't like.

He yawned, his body tired of going through the pointless exercises. He did have the stamina to continue to train himself as well as the will power, but he desired to do other things. His mind wondered to that of the Sanity Seal, what was his future going to be like? He turned back to the book on sealing and smirked. Grabbing it, he read the cover. Sealing: The Secrets to Concentrating Chakra. The boy continued to turn page by page, reading while he formed seals with his hands.

Corey was about to fall asleep on top of his books. The massive pile had grown, nowing containing more manuscripts on sealing as well as taijutsu arts. Corey was familiar with the training involved for some of the arts, but he was a Uchiha, why train to learn when I can just grasp the detail quickly with my Sharingan? He smirked, it would be pointless.

Turning away from the pile, he rolled onto the cold floor. He moved out his door and into the night light. It wasn't as cold as he thought it was, but the breeze still caused the boy to shiver. He held his arms over his chest, hoping that it would stop his endless trembling. It was to little avail, so he turned back around and walked back inside.

Corey decided to go to his cousin's chambers. He walked into the door and looked around. It wasn’t the best kept one-room but it had value. It was covered in books; books on shelves; the floor; opened; closed; pages full of symbols. The boy had to take a breath before he could start to dig into the mess. He could read a little of the symbols and if it wasn’t due to the illustrations, the young Uchiha would have been completely lose. Corey smirked as he sat in the middle of a large stack of books and started his dive into the intelligence that was the Namekian culture.

The books ranged from ninjutsu arts and sealing to genjutsu, discussion of their warrior class. It was a lot of information and the symbols were hard to decipher, but Corey was getting a good “mental” work out. His knowledge on the systems was growing, and he found some jutsu that could be used for sealing were quite easy. He smiled, as he grabbed for the last book in the stack that lay sprawled at his feet. It was about chakra manipulation. The young Uchiha shinobi smirked as he deciphered the pages:

“The key to enhancing the abilities of your body is chakra manipulation. To do this, one must harness the energy to surround your muscles. This takes time to perfect. But be warned, if you attempt this while in a state of emotional stress, you may harm yourself, but then you may achieve more power.”

Wow.

That was all Corey could think before he turned away and visualize the effects of correct chakra manipulation.

Corey stood, and started to concentrate his chakra. This would be an easy task and it showed as his white aura surrounded his body. Corey smirked as he concentrated on formulating the chakra around his body. It was a slightly harder task, but he completed it without wasted effort. Next came the hardest part of all, emotion. Corey did not know what he could do to bring out emotion and it was aggravating him. He was growing more and more agitated by the second, but what he didn't notice was his aura change to a light blue. He concentrated the chakra into his frame like the book had told him to. Except this time, Corey watched as his muscles started to smooth themselves out and bump up in mass as tension took root in his body. It was almost spectacular to see. Corey looked around, trying to find a target.

A stone column nearby that was protruding from the sand dome nearby. Corey focused his chakra into his left hand. It started slowly at first, the wind circling his hand. Then the chakra, this time it was orange, started to form around his left hand. Slowly the chakra grew into the size of a baseball, surrounding his hand which was opened and filling with concentrated chakra. Flames crackled around his hands as he summoned more chakra into it. He looked up to the stone column with his demonic-looking Sharingan eyes, centering his gaze on his target. He moved his right arm away from his now glowing left hand and charged the stone. With his current speed and the weight of the chakra, he had to drag his arm behind him. His steps were quick as he ran straight towards the column. His 'b-line' approach was the only way such an attack could be delivered. And that was the only downfall of the technique he was using. He could only move in a straight line, which made the move dodge-able as well as easy to counter. When Corey was at arm's length with the column, he thrust his left arm up and into the column.

"BOOM!!"

Stone blow outwards, raining down upon him. A cloud of dust bellowed outward as well, reducing the visibility of his environment to close to nothing. Corey closed his eyes, to protect his eyes from the falling shrapnel. His lunge was quick and the power he put forth was enough to bring about the result he wanted. When Corey opened his eyes, he saw the column itself had been reduced to nothing; all that remained of it was the small pebbles of sand and stone and vapors in the air. He had done it.
