Okay, I'm confused is there a required speed to get passed the sand shield of a Sabaku or is the shield like a auto-block. I don't think it is fair if it would be an auto block. Me and Gal were talking about a system like: Attacker speed vs Sabaku's sand+bloodline/2 |

One would presume you'd simply attack them until their chakra ran out. |

Not to talk about the show, but Sasuke and Rock Lee can do it well the sand is activated because of their extreme speed.... so to retain some similarity to the show, it has to be possible. Some system has to be setup.... *Notices that he is making demands*... I'll charge myself with creating a system to be approved by the staff. because I dont think an auto-block should be allowed at any level, it is the essence of godmodding, and I dont like it.... |

Attacker speed vs Sabaku's sand+bloodline*1.5 Basically, 'to retain some similarity to the show', Gaara's sand moved faster than he himself. You can recall him trying to harm himself but being unable to as the sand deflected his attempts with logically faster speed. Also, you have to remember that Rock Lee and Sasuke were very fast, as it was their specialties. They were moving faster than Gaara could keep up with his eyes and it was his sand that was JUST keeping up. |

Sand + Bloodline x1.5 is larger than the combined stats, it makes no sense that the sand should be able to move any faster than what the stats would allow. Sand + Bloodline might be reasonable, but no greater than that. |

Attacker speed vs Defender sand + defender bloodline..... sounds fair to me. Can we get a moderator's opinion? |

But why would the defender's speed have anything to do with his sand's speed? Agility doesn't really have much to do with reaction time, realistically speaking. I think we should use a different stat. |

No Mattox, we aren't using the defender's speed, just their sand and bloodline stat. |

So question for the masses. Do you agree with the idea? Attacker's Speed vs. Defender's Sand + Bloodline Stats |

x 1.2 then. It's supposed to be a super defence, it's what makes Sabaku on the top shelf. It makes sense to me, not only is it based around your sand and bloodline stat, but the chakra you spend on it every post becomes worth it. Without it, they'd be weaker than Aburame. |

Sand + Bloodline is enough in my opinion and I have a Sabaku clan member that has 20 sand and 25 bloodline. She is a genin and already it requires you to have 45 agility or more to out speed her defense with that formula. |

I will go over Sabaku when I have free time next. I will go over all of the clans at once adding more and changing some things (Other than recently updated ones) to make sure nothing is over-powered and whatnot. |

well there is a clear way to break through the shield of sand. As sasuke did it, even though he was using a powerful jutsu, if a person has such a high stat in an area, they should be able to break through it. |

Yea, so if a punch is thrown a certain amount of strength can break the sand, etc... I know, I'm working on it. ;) |

Sabaku Sand Shield is a weak defense. It has half the power of a normal defense. The only advantage is that it does not require seals and it activates automatically. It sacrifices power for cost efficiency and speed. |
