Empty Silence.

It was that type of peace that Corey enjoyed the most. It was the calm serenity that echoed from the forest beyond the ruins of Konoha. It was in this area that Corey had decided to train for the moment. His current task was to learn to manipulate elemental chakra besides that of which he already knew. Today's task was that of earth. All that he knew about earth was that the ground beneath him was cold and muddy. He had little real desire to learn anymore than that, but he continued anyway.

He would have moved from in the tree of which he sat but he had seen the activity below. It was a bandit camp; a army of rather unskilled ruffians and theives, nothing that he couldn't take care of. But he didn't have time for that, he had come to try and find a place to train. He grasped his forehead protector and tucked it inside of his back pouch. If the bandits recognized him as a ninja of a village, Mirage or Hidden Valley, he may be worse than if they had just found him alone with no affiliation whatsoever.

His gaze turned to that of what appeared to be their leader. He was a rather large man, his appearance was indeed gruff. His skin was blemished, his head bald, and his muscles rather tone. The figure could have been in his early thirties or late twenties; it was a guess that Corey didn't care to find the truth. The figures below were a moving quickly, probably gearing up to take on robbing some merchant convoy; Corey didn't care, he would only want to know if there was a skilled fighter among them.

From what he saw, not even the leader of the group would have been a big threat to him. The man was strong, he could easily hold multiple weapons of massive weight, but from his movements showed, he was ackward and clumsy. Corey chuckled, but soon drew a hand over his mouth. He didn't want to be heard, his presence would be like a shadow, only when he wanted to be known would he be. Walking down the tree, Corey concentrated on moving to the ground on the opposite side of the bark facing away from the encampment. When he reached the ground, he was received with blades pointed at his neck. He had just been captured. Soon after he was brought to his knees and stripped of what was his weapons. He smirked as his guess was right; the leader was the bald man.

"Who are you?"

"Oto, Kitachi. I'm the son of a farmer.... I'm lost." Corey lied, everyone knew it. He had just been caught scaling down the side of a tree with his chakra alone. And in this world, know how to manipulate chakra on that level would certainly mean one was a ninja, plan and simple. So he was no excuse for the chorus of how he was lying.

The leader didn't want to hear it, he silence them with a wave of his hand, "Fine, child, we know you are a ninja, but if you want to be scared about it then we shall kill you." He raised a dagger to Corey's neck as the Uchiha secretly planned a replacement jutsu.

Choosing against it quickly, Corey looked up, "Okay, I give up, I'm actually a ninja. But I was expelled from the Hidden Valley academy."

The bandits laughed, they had caught a has-been, or so they thought. Corey bowed his head, pretending to feel disgusted. He laid back down as they continued with their plans. Corey was thrown in a prison closeby: a caged cell that was ten foot by ten foot. He waited as the bandits went along with their pillaging. He sat back on the dirt floor and tried to manipulate the earth with his chakra. He watched as he was uncapable of doing anything about it. His situation was grim; he had limited energy to be dealing with them since he was trying to train. He choose against trying to fight back.

When the bandits returned with their spoils, Corey was joined by one of the monks from the village he had visited earlier. He smiled, "Corey, right?"

The Uchiha nodded, "Yes, I remember you, sensei."

They talked for a moment about how they both had gotten there, and how they planned to bargain their way out. But Corey didn't want to bargain, he would rather fight. He was suppose to be a smart ninja, he would fight his way out. He rose and turned away for the monk. "Is there anyway we can get out by force...?"

"Well," started the monk, "I do know some earth style techniques. Want to see a few?"

Corey turned, his prayers had been answered, he had found someone knowledgeable in the field he required. He watched him for the a few seals: Ram, Ox, Ram, Ox, Dragon. Before them, outside the cage formed a golem of earth and rock. The bandits looked on in awe, their opponent was now a clone of earth. It was still forming when it was attacked with a throwing knive. It hit the surface of the golem and bounced away.

Corey smiled as he activated his Sharingan. This golem was like a clone of his old monk sensei, but he was huge. His massive figure was due to the fact that he was a walking boulder, but it was indeed a great summon technique. Corey turned to the monk then back to the golem. They both watched as the golem took on the bandits, knocking away weapons with little annoyance to his true mission which was to free them both. When the "boulder clone" had nearly finished, he swung a mighty fist which crashed into the cage and left it open for them to escape. Corey was quick to move, jumping from the ground, to the side of a tree, and then flying from branch to branch. The monk was not far behind, since he had to stop and break concentrate on the clone. The golem fell to the ground and dissolved back into dust. Corey had seen the work of the being and smiled.

"That was amazing, sensei." Corey said as he jumped to the next tree.

"It was nothing, just a little chakra, and a bit dust and rock." He chuckled.

"Sensei, can you teach me to use the earth like that?" Corey asked, looking away from his trajectory.

"Sure, Corey, you shouldn't have left the village. You were a great student on the Grand Master's academy. He will be pleased to see you back."

Corey smirked, he had enjoyed the village of the monks. They were kind and had given him so much. He probably could have become the village leader once the old man had moved on. He remembered the look in his eyes, it proved just that.

But now was not a time for training or even focusing on that for any matter. The were followed close behind by the remaining bandits. Instead of continuing to run and try to evade them, Corey decided it would be easier to turn and fight. He dropped the ground, the monk standing behind him. "I'll protect you, sensei, leave them to me." Corey watched the three bandits before him with his Sharingan eyes. Which one will get it first? They were all armed with small arms; swords, daggers, and small curve blades of the sort. It would have been wise to consider using a weapon, but Corey knew that he could easily cause sufficient damage with his fists alone.

The bandit first bandit rushed forward, his sword raised high aimed at the Uchiha's head. Corey easily tilted his body, ducking the blow and hitting the man in the stomach with a back fist. He then spun to the bandit's side, and pulled his knee into his gut. He didn't watch the man fall, but the remaining bandits behind him. The move that he pulled over was so flawlessly commited that it scared them. Corey knew this because of the look on their faces. They all stepped back and watched their partner fall. Corey smirked as he finished the man by stepping on his neck, breaking it from extremely concentrated pressure on the spinal cord.

Corey then moved his hands to his sides, grabbing his iron sais. He wouldn't be using them as an offensive weapon like they were designed but to defend himself from their blades. He stepped forward, parrying both of their blades, but they were quicker then Corey had imagined and both aimed seperate fists at the boy's face and stomach. Using their blades as a anchor, Corey lifted his body and sprung up into the air, spiralling over them in a somersault. When he landed, he fired his fist to punch them both in the face with a single blow. But that was not the end of his attack, his foot followed suit and tripped the stunned warriors to their knees.

From there, he stood over them, but he knew he was not finished, the leader was close behind. He stood on closeby, watching his friends fall to defeat at the hands of the single, young shinobi. Corey smiled, he detected him by using his Sharingan to see his chakra. He was not going to attack, but wait for Corey to turn his back and start to motion for the monk to get ready to leave. That was when the series of needles flew from the concealed location of the leader. Corey was not phased and took the blow, or so it seemed. "Poof!!" His body dissappeared in a cloud of smoke as a log appeared in its place. As for Corey he stood behind the bald man with a kunai across his neck.

"Too easy...."

Corey smirked as he slashed the blade across his throat. It was simple, he had just eliminated a groups of easy bandits with little effort. But that was not the end of his journey, he would continue to go with the monk back to the village and continue his training with the monks.
