Name : Sakakida Hideko Gender : Male Age: Twenty-Seven Clan : Sakakida Preferred Jutsu Type : Bloodline Ninjutsu Personality : Once a childish and playful youth who was then turned to a mature young man, has once again matured even more as a decades past of time has garnered him a decades worth of wisdom and perhaps much more. A traveler by nature Hideko has broken the bonds of Terra, which held him so for sixteen years of his life. Now he acts mostly as a wanderer and holds himself up as nothing less. A spectator, a tourist, an onlooker, and the Kenbutsunnin feels his place is not with those who manipulate the present to convert the future. Granted, if the scenario is presented in which he must act in a manner opposite to what is mentioned above, he will perform given task as either a drive for his continuance or a simple pleasure scantly obtained. And although his outward appearance on all matters has changes the serenity, which radiates from, this questionable soul still remains greatly intact. An almost influential aura permeates from his being, the epitome of calmness being his main persona. Able to whistle a merry tune no matter the circumstances. As well it is a sharp tongue and poetic tone, which has perhaps been the reason behind his troubles with the past few years. A sarcastic nature blended with serenity unmatched in times of peril almost makes the Sakakida a “commentator” of sorts to all, which is developing about him. A merry man, hardly would one ever find a frown upon his face as each moment lived is each bit more enjoying, with little to worry other then the Sickness. The Sickness, which has begun to deteriorate his mind, has caused some effects upon him as well. Unable to depict the voices echoing within his thoughts at times he is seen commenting on matters never spoken of, or perhaps even barking a laugh to a joke never uttered. And it is even with these ailments of a man turning to insanity still hasn’t caused him to stray far from his eternal joy. He is a man in pain, though he would hardly allow the notion to pass into reality. And neutral partied, the Kenbutsunnin finds himself simply a spectator to all commotion. However, there are the uncommon situations where he finds himself the center of attention, something of which he simply pines yet recognizes the situation and isn’t left oblivious. He is of good nature, no matter how far his tongue will carry him in the opposite direction for he is kind to others and loving of all. If need be, he will stand at their sides rather observe and assist in what is needed, although, he will soon find himself returning to the role of a spectator. Appearance : Since birth both he and his brother were addressed as two of the most charming boys of the village, some even using the “pretty” to describe their appearance as if directed towards a female. However, after his brother’s leave, this praise is reserved for Hideko and he only. He carries about him a mysterious gift, which every Sakakida has been given since birth, an aura that many say radiates about him if one were to focus intently; wisps of blue smoke slashing out slowly from a small outline of his self. Almost three decades of life sustained, what was once a child has now developed into that which is most commonly referred to as a man. The young adult has reached his peek height, which just reaches past the barrier of six feet, with a thin frame. His weight reaches just past a hundred and thirty-five and it is only revealed through the slight muscle tone that has formed in due part of the hardships the journeyman must face. All this is accentuated by a somewhat dark tone of skin that has withstood countless days before a bright nude orb held within the sky. Unkempt auburn hair adorns a tanned face, something augmented only by the sun that sits atop in the sky, as would a king upon his throne overlooking his subjects. His hair, restricted only slightly by a light blue bandanna, reaches just below his dark brown eyes, where many say that years of repressed thoughts have sunken deeply. However, his thick locks act as a mask so that few actually see the pain that is apparent through these brown hues. And it is with a long hiatus far from the mainland that a peculiar taste in wardrobe rivals that of even the most flamboyant Shinobi, and it is perhaps in two parts that these garbs be explained. At a first glance one would prominently recognize a vibrantly colored green cloak, which wraps tightly to his frame and is buttoned up to the collar that stands upright partially covering the scarf which adorns his neck, brilliant gold lacing decorating the length of his cloak in indescribable manner. With the exception of his pants, the only other visible clothing is that of what appears to be gloved hands of a dark blue tint. As well at times he chooses to wear a wide brimmed brown hat as to protect his face from both the brutal sun’s rays as well as a passing glance. It is underneath this cloak that a garb deemed more appropriate for a warrior is truly revealed. The main piece which catches the eye is that of a sleeveless hooded jacket which clings to Hideko’s form, leaving little to the imagination, the material a light blue in color. As well the once semi-revealed gloves travel the length of his arm and ceases at the triceps. As well his scarf and bandanna remain in place although their lengths seem to increases as the scarf reaches just past the mid-section of his back and the bandanna reaches below his shoulders. Covering his long legs is a pair of white linen pants that reach just below his ankles, fitting yet not as tight as his shirts as to not hinder his agile movements yet not interfere with the thick brush he may encounter. Several pockets conceal Hideko’s many number of Kunai and a rather small fan, which he always keeps at his side just as he would his staff. And to end at the bottom, the young Sakakida wears a thin pair of white moccasins as to assist in his travels. The staff he has so relied upon for so long remains at his side, at times strapped to his back. It bursts on impact and can easily rip clothes and cause many scratches. Effect: None Cost: 6 Kaze Naminori no Jutsu (The Art of Wind Surfing) Description: One of the most peculiar Jutsus known throughout the land. With the simple hand seal of the Bird, the Sakakida user is immediately uplifted by a strong upwards draft. From then on the user may control the currents of the wind in such an influential manner that it appears they are flying. This skill, similar to the Etai Iki, requires a fine and precise control of the wind as it acts in the most direct manners to simulate flight. Although effective in numerous ways, this Jutsu is taxing to the inexperienced and only ceases when the Shinobi touches down or their entire Chakra supply is drained from their body. Effect: Allows the user to “ride the winds”, in effect flying with complete control of direction. Cost: 5 per post Replacement Jutsu Description/Seals: [None] Moving at High Speeds you can move out of the way of an opponents physical attack and replace yourself with an object. You move so fast that it looks as if you had turned into that object. Effect: None Cost: 10 Kaze Rei no Jutsu (The Skill of Wind Ray) Description/Seals: [Rooster, Rabbit, and Dragon] The user can blow a gust of wind from between their hands with strong enough force to push their target back. Effect: A strong wind that can repel Medium Weapons and push foes without armor on back. Cost: 6 Storm Clone Jutsu [NJ] Description/Seals: [Bird, Ram, Tiger] Creates a clone from wind and chakra. This clone looks like the creator, except it is very pale compared to anything. It can also do damage, just as many other clones. It can also use weapons tossed to it from the creator. The Storm Clone can even take two hits. Only one if it is hard. When a Storm Clone is destroyed, it creates a whirlwind effect, knocking enemies from their feet. Each Storm Clone has 1/3 of the creator's stats. It also requires skill with the Etai Iki to pull off. Requirements: Ninjutsu 15, Wind 10, Bloodline 10 Effect: Creates wind clones that explode on impact. Max Number of Clones active at a time is three. Cost: 10 Per Clone Four Winds Crush [NJ] Description/Seals: [Dragon, Rooster, Tiger, Bird] This Jutsu creates four different man-sized cyclones around the target of the attack. They are each to a different direction from the enemy. One is north; the other is south, etcetera, and etcetera. Whenever the user of this Jutsu wishes, all four cyclones will diverge and rush in on the opponent, then crush him within four spinning cyclones. The force alone can splinter bones, and the wind effect can tear your clothes and scratch you. Requirements: Ninjutsu 15, Bloodline 15, Wind 15 Effect: Creates four cyclones that crush a targeted foe. Cost: 12 Chakra Fuuton • Kaze no Senbon (Wind Element • Needles of the Wind) [NJ] Description/Seals: [Dog, Monkey] The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. Because the needles are made of air they cannot be blocked or deflected. The only way to ensure safety is to dodge them. Requirements: 17 Wind 15 Ninjutsu Effect: Stated Above. Cost: 2 For 1 Needle Genjutsu None Taijutsu None Medical Jutsu None Summoning Jutsu Contract with Birds [SJ] Description/Seals: [Bird, Snake, Bird, Rat,] This is the binding contract with the Bird's of the summon realm. This allows you to summon and have the Bird's come to you when summoned. The specific one that shows depends on the amount of Chakra that you put into the Summon. You must have your blood placed on your left palm and slam it onto a surface for the Bird's to be summoned on. Requirements: Summoning - 30 Weapon Jutsu None Bloodline Limit Etai Iki (Nature’s Breath) Ability: The Sakakida have grown highly attuned to one of the key forces of nature that surrounds them upon everyday life, the wind. Their bond with the power has become so incredibly powerful that they have learned to control this unpredictable force. Unknown how they have learned to do so is partly credited as well to the mysteries that embody Chakra. This power varies in skill depending on the user, from gentle breezes to blistering winds. The Sakakida have found many odd uses for such a gifted talent and other then the Kaze Naminori, it is the most noticeable ability a Sakakida possesses. Abilities Light Step Description/Seals: [Natural] After reaching a certain point, your steps become so light that you make no sound when you walk or run. You still make vibrations, which can be heard by certain 'special' Shinobi. Requirements: 20 Agility Effect: Makes your Steps light as a feather Cost: None Grace of the Sakakida Description/Seals: [None] After someone has become every in tune with the wind, with their Etai Iki, they are able to tap into the wind and use it to help them in a fight. When a Sakakida wishes, he may petition for the wind's aid. When this is activated, the wind pushes the ninja to be faster, and more agile. Requirements: Agility 15, Bloodline 15, Wind 15 Effect: When activated, adds a bonus 5 to the user's agility for that post. Cost: 2 Chakra per post used. Equipment/Items Weapon Inventory Kunai X10 Description: Light Throwing Daggers Effect: None Weight: Light Type: Iron Throwing Stars X10 Description: Projectiles with sharp edges all around. Effect: None Weight: Light Type: Iron Hitofuki Description: The Sakakida's obsession of retaining a pacifist nature has recently succumbed to the force of the Sickness. As such he has become more compelled to enact violence, and Hitofuki is the literal appearance of his emotions. The long slender shaft is just short of his own height, a steel pole with an outer wooden finish gives the idea of rural ancestry, a reddish tint to the pole. At one end of this pole-arm is the steel blade which reaches slightly past a foot or so, its curvy figure as well as its decorative crimson inked patterns along the blade give Hitofuki a rather elegant appearance. Weight: Light Type: Steel Armor/Clothing Normal Garb Description: Hideko’s Normal Outfit Effect: None Weight: Light Type: None Items None History The tale of Sakakida Hideko is one of no extravagant nature, such as many persons of this time. However, there is much in minor detail that turns this mundane story to that filled with emotion. Hideko was born into the Sakakida clan alongside his brother, Sakakida Yangu. It is said by several of the Elders that a great falcon was seen circling the tent from heights above, an omen it would seem. Hideko and Yangu, by birth, are twins; not only is their appearance rather similar, but also their personality seems to be a mirror image of the other. Their father, a Chuunin and respected member of the village, referred to his two and only sons as his Atae Myouto, a phrase meaning “Godsend Pair”. The two were always subject to pinches and pokes for their charm and natural beauty. It would seem they would never separate as they made each other complete, however, with the progression of their skills as a Shinobi came great change within the Myouto. Yangu showed much more aptitude in the ways of the Shinobi where as Hideko lacked in any real talent. The pair’s Sensei gave much scorn to Hideko for never reaching his brother’s aptitude, scorn that was assisted by Yangu’s insistence of solitude. Slowly, the youngest of the pair began to live in the silhouette of his brother, who many hailed as the next great Shinobi. As the years had gone by the praises began to swell Yangu’s ego, causing him to become arrogant and boastful. Hideko grew to despise his older twin, who seemed to treat his sibling as the dirt beneath his feet. Although the tension began to build, no villager could admit to realizing the feud, not even the brothers’ own parents it would seem. Soon the hatred became unstable, as Hideko grew angered by his failings and his brother’s accomplishments. However, all this changed upon one fateful day. One morning after their daily chores, Yangu began to pester his younger brother with harsh words that continued to build Hideko’s inner rage. Hateful terms and pestering prods with his staff unleashed the younger brother’s wrath as Hideko drew his own staff and began to attack wildly. Yangu, suspecting nonetheless from his brother, began to fend of the strikes made by his brother. The two began a heavily one-sided bout; as was expected, much was in favor of Yangu. The battle drew quite the crowd as they watched several years of leashed-rage be drained before them. However, the battle lasted only a short while, as Yangu skillfully took down his younger brother. And with a great distaste in his mouth he stood over Hideko’s unconscious body, no words leaving his lips as he reached for a kunai that lay in his pockets. Reaching forward to the younger one’s neck he spoke with a peculiar tone, “You were a fool to attack me, now you shall bear the sign for all the village to see.” And began to etch the word “Ahou”, using Hideko’s throat as the canvas. The deed was complete as Yangu stood from his position, and tossed the bloody kunai upon his brother’s shirt. The crowd grew disgusted of Yangu’s actions and began to yell at the young Genin. The elder brother stood unopposed and only turned to the crowd to speak these few words, “Hideko isn’t the only fool.” And with that he departed the Village, a Nukenin and feared Shinobi for the rank of Genin was but a false title for his skills ranged beyond those of the villages’ Jounin. To this day the young Missing-nin’s location is unknown. Although the village’s medics quickly healed the wound before causing any sort of permanent damage, the marks Yangu left upon Hideko grew everlasting. Hideko now bears not only the scars, but now carries the title, “Musei Ahou, The Silent Fool”, as the Sakakida child has developed a trait in which he hardly wished to truly speak his mind of a matter. The months after his brother’s disappearance proved to be his darkest under such torment, the bloodstained kunai that was used to disfigure Hideko kept with him at all times. However, after a time the pain had passed and normality settled in upon his life. And thus, at the tail end of a decade, a grand new journey took hold. ------------------------------------- Enter a Journeyman’s Travels ----------------------------------------- A wonderful occurrence took place when a traveling group of peddler’s claimed Terra as their temporary hold and began a weeks long masquerade within the city’s grand square. It was there that fate intertwined Hideko and another which took the stage name Sparrow. As the two developed a relationship it was decided best for the young Sakakida to travel with these merchants for the span of two months as he developed his ability with the Etai Iki as well relieved himself of Terra’s burden. It was in these days that Hideko felt the most alive and only a portion of the world’s potential was presented to him before the time had come for him to return to Terra. However, it was this journey, which would continuously call the young lad to take leave from that treacherous city once more, and so he had after a few years passed. With two years passed of a continuously trivial life led the young Hideko awoke to his eighteenth birthday, a day he so eagerly awaited as the day he was set free. The wish to travel beyond that he has ever conceived was granted as both his father and mother held no quarrel in seeing their son develop through such an experience. And although tears were shredded, joy remained the primary benefactor throughout the celebrations before a setting sun gave way to an ending and the final sight of Hideko walking a dirt path toward the horizon, the two he truly admired remaining at the city’s edge. Troubles were what first met an independent Hideko as he moved from village to village in no particular heading, enjoying each village’s own culture. What little money he carried with him he soon found dispersed within a month’s time. What little food the young adult could conjure was only received through working single shifts at Inns with names more obscure then one could perceive. And it was soon that even such trivial work proved insufficient to withhold Hideko as he found himself as nothing but a penniless wanderer. Such attributes continued throughout his first year, the distance he had covered both on foot and what time he could find upon wheels had led him far from a War which he held no knowledge of. Only rumor had reached his ears of struggle between the two Villages who were both still young in age. However, as stated prior this effected Hideko little at the moment as his journey continued. And they had until a hunger stricken Sakakida wandered farther from the beaten path then what was intended and soon found himself at the hands of a rather barbaric group, the Yokokaze. Too weak to protect himself from these mysterious tribesman he soon found himself within their encampment and it was revealed to him through his eyes that he had ‘found’ a true gem of knowledge and wisdom so far from home, for the blood of the Sakakida ran strong through these people and the Etai Iki wrapped tightly about their hands. It wasn’t after a brief demonstration of his own abilities that he soon found himself apart of the Yokokaze and once more adventures relit Hideko’s soul. For several years the young man traveled with this group, going as far as adapting their style of dress, a dress much like his own except died brown and a veil to cover their faces when the ‘dance’ took place, desert people they were. Spear in hand the quickly maturing Hideko took part in many rituals of hunting as wells as social activity, with the many days passed an even greater knowledge of the Etai Iki was laid before him, the art of summoning. It was here that a contract between the Yokokaze and the birds of another land were formed, and it was here that Hideko scribed his name in blood as to bond himself with the contract just as the tribesmen had for generations. But alas, not all things were meant to last as a yearning for more drove the Sakakida to leave the Yokokaze and continue to travel an unknown path, a segment of his brethren only watching as he walked on in clothes from his prior life. And so once more he found himself as nothing but a wanderer, the mainland of Terra and its surroundings but a foggy memory, an abstract painting of bland mediocrity which he still held little remorse for. And so the months past and the inns were frequented much more as two terrible habits entered Hideko’s life, the drink and gambling. Money was found when ever the young man found dice within his grasp. And with a wealth earned it seemed to dissipate rather quickly for a mug to replace the dice in his hand. These addictions went even further as the Sakakida stumbled into a temporary alcoholism for several months and allowing himself to drop into such poor condition that he simply remained within Selda, one of many small villages, which sprinkled the wasteland. However, an antidote soon arrived to combat what could be described as a form of depression, although it would later be revealed that much more then depression would be the symptom of an incurable sickness. The Kazekindachi came to Selda, a group of arena warriors who traveled about the many villages and do battle within circular rings in village squares for little payment. Here the former Shinobi felt himself pulled once more to the ‘dance’ he so frequently performed within the Yokokaze that he joined this motley crew under the moniker ‘Falcon’, a title he had used long ago in his first encounter with the Sparrow. Once more losing the wardrobe of a simple wanderer, Hideko’s growing elaborateness quickly caused him to don an outfit befitting to such a bird of prey, his staff now acting as a blunt talon whenever he stepped foot within the arena. And great rejoice sounded every time the man slipped a foot into its fenced surroundings, for quickly did he rise within the ranks of the Kazekindachi. Soon the minor villages of Selda, Montserrat, Baeloon, and even Resuir with its decorative arches became locations of the past as places one could consider cities if the sight of Terra ever eluded them became the groups mainstay, and their payments even greater. A once empty pocket quickly filled with each bout Hideko had won, as well as certain fame alongside. Day in and day out he fought within the ring with those he had traveled with, only a few posing a challenge with some being former Shinobi just as he. It was these select few which Hideko benefited the most as his skills continued to develop even whilst neglecting any sort of fundamental training. However, yet another problem was posed as the dance, which was once interesting, began to wan in desire. Soon Hideko grew tired of this continuous routine and made an announcement that he would be take leave of the Kazekindachi and forge a new path once again. And before much was to be said of the matter the young man found himself miles away from the group’s latest stop. Once more the journeyman’s travels began. And for a few more years did he travel the land, reaching locations of bizarre nature, something to suspect from being so far from true civilization. The distance he had covered being almost incalculable. However, the greatest barrier he ever confronted presented itself at the peak of his journey. The great ocean had surrounded him from all sides and the man who once wished to be free now found him once more entrapped, not from the city of Terra but the walls forged by the sea. With a growing Sickness found incurable by the countless Doctors and Medicine men he has encountered, Hideko has succumbed to the thoughts of death and the growing insanity this disease accompanies. And it is now that the Kenbutsunnin’s story comes to a close and he turns once more in a direction familiar to him, home, Terra. ------------------------------------- Weaving One's Own Web ----------------------------------------- And a short visit it was, other then once more reuniting with his beloved mother and father. The Sickness once more took hold as the man found himself hanging limply from a solemn tree amidst the Merchant Road, the Etai Iki's stirring the only reason why he still roams this realm. Afterward, a sorrowful visit to the Hermit Village soon revealed to the Kenbutsunnin the death bed of Rhavin, the last Head of the Sakakida. There the title was passed to Hideko who immediately called a meeting of numerous figures prominent within the Etai Iki. The gathering was one of the greatest. Present were of course key Sakakida members, including a daughter to a wealthy family as well as a rather strong figure with the Village Hidden in the Mirage. The Yokokaze, Jei as the newest Chief, as well as Sammael of the Aramaki were at the gathering. Even Bishuun, Lord of the Bird Realm, was at attendance. The meeting called forth by Hideko brought about a new age for the Sakakida, their scattered remains now unified and once more great in spirit and strength. But what was the Kenbutsunnin to do, now that his people were once more at peace? Following the gathering Hideko went missing, only turning up days later at the doorway of Siegfrid Aurenhart's infamous Black Winds. Shortly afterward the Sakakida was made a member, his first action being to establish the Kaze Rei, a band of talented individuals who saw Hideko as their leader. One could say little of interest has happened, other then a brief invasion by a bit of Western men. Though once more as a new age is to come the Kenbutsunnin has disappeared in a familiar manner, holding true to his title as the Sickness leads his desires. |
