Apocalypse (Lv4)
|
Name: Zera Gender: Male Age: 21 Clan: None Preferred Style of Fighting: Longsword and Spells Personality: Zera is beyond evil, when talking to others he is usually calm, civil and otherwise very well mannered, this is when he is in public however, outnumbered. Even when he is not his calm, casual tone is chilling when in the situations he often puts himself into. Such as massacring a village for example. Zera, though he does have some interest in the wellbeing of his comrades, usually just doesn't care. Twisted by greed and blood lust, Zera enjoys playing with his pray rather than simply outright killing them, although he has done it on occasion. Around women, Zera is the charmer, getting what he wants from them then leaving them in the dust. He is cruel, black hearted and hateful. However, he does not let anger consume him. Instead he takes things in stride, and his well mannered expressions always underly his burning hatred for the world and especially for the Eastern lands. Even though Zera has no love for the eastern people, if one approached him offering to serve Zera would not deny them. His favorite minion or even henchman is the traitor to his or her people. Zera's favorite past time is corrupting the weak. Even though he is not all that strong himself, his amazing ability to control people with his words has made him a deadly adversary. Zera very much dislikes fighting on his own when he doesn't have to, and usually uses lies and cheating to get innocent bystanders to work for him instead of against him. Appearance: Zera is a huge man. Standing at about six feet tall, he is broad shouldered and handsome. His raw physical appearance that includes huge muscles and lightly colored skin makes him an imposing sight. Not including the fact that he constantly wears heavy armor. Zera is a handsome man with a long, battle hardened face. Long blond hair and deep blue eyes. His face is undamaged and cleanly shaved. He commonly wears his hair back, in a long ponytail down to his shoulders. Zera's clothing consists of a common leather jerkin and a pair of heavy black pants. He also wears leather bracers and gloves. The clothing is all black, and he has implanted on the clothing iron spikes and rivets to make his appearance much more imposing. His Pants are slightly baggy, and are bound at the bottom by his leather boots. His shirt under his leather jerkin is made of fine silk and looks like a baggy tunic. Zera also wears a long black cloak with a hood on it. Zera's neck has a very distinct tattoo on it, the symbol of an arcane eye with a skull as the pupil. It is believed this is the symbol of an order of knights he once originated from. Many wondered if they'd crack under their own cloistering. I guess I'm the end result of that.” – Zera, talking of his childhood. Zera, son of High Paladin Murious Lighbourne, Lord of the Western Armies, was born twenty one years ago to a young servant girl in the town of Endilheim. Zera's mother, who was sixteen at the time, died in childbirth. The father was not known but after detecting a hint of magical prowess on the boy an investigation was proclaimed. The local mage of Endilheim identified the father as Murious Lighbourne, the highest ranking holy and 'chaste' paladin of the realm. It was said that Murious had proclaimed himself chaste when he was knighted. A very difficult decision to be sure. However, under his oath, breaking it would be blasphemy. The child would have to be raised by the father in shame. Murious Lighbourne, fearing for his credibility dumped off the child in a local abbot under the cover of darkness. Murious himself announced that the infant had died in its crib, no funeral was done and the child was essentially forgotten. During that time, the child was raised by the monks and taught swordplay and basic magic. Nothing too powerful, they told him, only simple tricks. Zera, on the side, however, was obsessed with these two skills and studied hard. That was, until he was discovered by a priest visiting the monks one day. The Priest, Curion, identified the child immediately as the boy son of Murious Lighbourne. Young Zera was aghast, he had never felt betrayed in his life and suddenly he knew that his father essentially left him for dead. Not only that but, Zera himself was a living heresy! From then on, the monks never were again kind to Zera, instead they treated him as a permanent blot on their reputation. Zera would never forgive them. Never. Zera continued to live at the monestary, growing more and more spiteful of the world around him. Until the day came that he was confronted by a younger monk. Zera, out of sheer rage killed the boy in cold blood. Not only that, but he defiled the corpse, dismembering it and hanging the parts in the halls. The monks, startled by this heathenish change in Zera decided to banish him from the monestary. When they confronted him with this news. Only one monk survived. To Purge Zera wandered off into the wilderness after escaping the monestary. Knowing he had no where else to turn to he lived in the forest for a year. He turned fifteen during that time. Still a teen and still volatile he preyed off the travelers along the road going through the forest. Anyone that opposed him died, Anyone that attempted to make a deal, died, anyone that tried to work for him, did so and then died at his hand or an allies. Zera, over that time, discovered that he had a gift. He attracted followers and allies like a magnet. His mere presence inspired people to do evil. Sometimes even in his name. Zera didn't understand why it happened; maybe it was his sheer force of personality. Or maybe something more. Either way Zera became a danger to the nearby village or many lawmen went out to apprehend him. Those that didn't bow when they approached him usually ended up dead. Zera, however, rarely did any of the fighting. His force of personality allowed him to convince people to fight to the death over him. Almost as if they wanted to be the sole servant of this heroic antithesis. Zera was a plague on the world, he once told himself. A world deserving to be purged. Zera decided during those days, that he was the one destined to purge the world of its weaklings and build his own perfect world. That day, he met the Necromancer. Koldhart Koldhart was a necromancer master who had heard about the young anti-paladin that lived in the forests of the western kingdoms. At first, Zera reacted to Koldhart like any other person. With cold and ruthless resolve. Zera sent his current 'slaves' to attack Koldhart, what returned were the zombified remains of his men. Zera was bound by the Zombies and commanded by Koldhart to submit. Zera refused. When Koldhart saw the unyeilding desire to kill in Zera's eyes, he saw a bit of himself. He took young Zera and reformed the chaotic boy into a more refined, and dark killer. Zera learned much from Koldhart, including how to use his ability to attract people more efficiently. Zera eventually left Koldhart's company, vowing that he would return and 'repay his debt'. Zera returned to wandering, for five long years. The War Zera heard about the war on the eastern lands and decided to join in the fun. He talked his way into joining the army. Under the alias of Ramul, Zera pushed his way up the ranks until he could enter the front lines. When he made it to the battlefield he saw the great power of the Ninja and was rather impressed. Zera remembered distinctly the face of one man he saw on the battlefield. The face of evil that matched his own black heart. He did not know his name. But the very aura he gave off was sinister. Zera would find this man, kill him, and destroy the eastern lands, then he would turn his gaze on the west. He would be founder of a new world order. Him, Zera. With the fall of the west and the rise of a new order within the west, Zera has begun to dig his gnarled fangs into the power that he believes is rightfully his. No longer a real human but more of a Blasphemy Incarnate, Zera wanders the land in search of true and worthy allies, in his vie for dominance |
