Apocalypse (Lv4)
Name: Feng Zyou
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Clan: Feng
Village: Village-less
Preferred Jutsu Type: Weapon Jutsu primarily, with a slight lesser focus upon Ninjutsu
Personality: Cocky and brash, Zyou is as uncouth as one could be. He has little respect for anything besides sheer strength, and little respect for anyone outside of himself and his little rag-tag group. He is offensive and open with his words, not one to watch his mouth, and speaks as broadly as he acts which is to say without hesitation or forethought. Unlike many young Shinobi he does not have the innate bond of friendship or belonging to a certain group, as he was not raised within any Hidden Village. He bears the atypical independent streak of most rogue Shinobi, and acts on nothing short of his own blind ambition and fierce bravado.

Though he does not currently serve any Hidden Village, he knows that in order to avoid stagnating in his own ignorance he will have to seek out either one of the stronger ones or some other faction with which to grow as a Shinobi. He is quietly living within his forest with various other renegade youngsters and would-be Shinobi, ambushing anyone who passes through in search of information. That is his past time, surprisingly, and he absorbs virtually any tidbit he can get his hands on. His favorites are tales detailing special abilities and forbidden jutsu within each village, as well as anyone known to have mastered them. He is setting himself up quite the future, and only waits to act upon it. Whichever village emerges as stronger or more aggressive, he would eagerly seek to join, but holds himself back now so as to not prematurely pick a side. What sign he is waiting for, not even he knows, but he is waiting regardless.

To other people he would most-certainly come across as crass and rude, often loud and boisterous and never thinking before he speaks. Women, especially find him obnoxious, as he ( incorrectly ) considers himself something of a ladies man due to his age and relative strength. He believes women long for manly men, and thus makes no attempt to change and instead grows only progressively more rude as he ages. He believes utmost in power and strength, so non-fighters are awarded his scorn while those lacking strength get nothing but contempt. To him there is no bigger insult than being called a weakling, and he will fight with adolescent fury against anyone who would mistakenly label him as such. He is, to be fair, much smarter and stronger than most his age, but he is not the best. He missed a very sound opportunity, for not seeking a village when he was on his own, but he would never see it as such. To do so would be to admit he was weak and wrong, and that is beyond his ego.

The only dream or goal Zyou has, aside from the urge to fight and remain undefeated, is to one-day command a squad of men. Mercenary, military, he does not truly care which at this point...his is no struggle for idealism, but merely a need to prove himself more powerful than anyone else. Fighting is pretty much all he desires, to grow strong and prove his worth by leading a band of similar-invincible fighters. Outside of this grandiose, yet childish dream he has not prepared or cared one-whit about his future.

Appearance: Zyou is quite tanned, with the rugged look of a person who spends their life outdoors, and his build clearly shows it. Large and muscled, with broad shoulders and thick, toughened fingers, he bears the agility of a person half his size and the ego of one who was double. Cautious and nimble, he carries himself with an arrogant grace that quite-openly shows what he thinks of himself. His face is sharp-featured and hard, with a squared jaw and angled brown eyes. A mop of tousled brown hair sits atop his head, cut at the neck and in no particular style, with a thin black headband secured across his forehead and poking through the mass of hair at the back of his head where it trails into twin strips that each extend for a good two feet. His face bears no marks itself, but his body is littered with various scars and cuts that have not fully healed...it is the body of a fighter, and the clean and even toothy grin he is often seen sporting is testament to his record. He is surprisingly vain about his looks, which is why his face is so devoid of marks, but bears no similar treatment to the rest of his body outside basic personal hygiene.

Zyou dresses always in the same thing: loose, light-weight garments that allow his particular agile fighting style while also blending in nicely with the forests for which the majority of his time is spent. A dark brown kimono covers his body, though over his lower form he also wears a pair of baggy black pants and black leather tabi-boots. Starting at the knee and winding down to his ankles are heavy black wrappings that keep his pants and boots stiffly straight, similar to the black wrappings which adorn his arms from the forearm to the wrist and cover the opening of the kimono's baggy sleeves. The palms of his hands are left open and uncovered to grip his weapon, while the back is protected by a stiffened flap of leather protruding from underneath the wrapping. Also fastened at each shoulder are domed cups of tough leather that keep the garment from fluttering free when caught by the wind, and around his waist a dark green obi while at his neck wraps a dark brown scarf which can be hastily raised to cover his face.

Typically most of his ninja tools are kept either in a pack that is fastened at the back of his obi, or within his kimono's breast for quick access. The only other attachment is his hook-sword, which straps in upside-down on his right side, angling up to his left shoulder. Finally, upon his back, sits a Taijitu marked with the characters for 'Fang', which is remarkably similar, and often synonymous, with his given family name of 'Feng'.

Known Jutsu

Ninjutsu
Name: Kogakure [NJ]
Description/Seals: ( Ram ) Similar to hiding behind a tree, only Zyou takes it once-step further and uses his Earth and Plant-based abilities to meld himself inside the tree. Typically he is spying or preparing an ambush, so he retains a small opening at eye-level for him to peer through. He emerges without effort, as though stepping from behind a curtain, and can instantly spring into action.
Requirements: 5 Plant, 5 Earth, 5 Ninjutsu
Effect: Hides within a tree or other solid, wooden structure.
Cost: 2

Mud Shot [NJ]
Description/Seals: [Ram, Snake] By focusing on the chakra in your hands, you can have mud form and fire at your target. This isn't normal mud, it is quite heavy and hardens making whatever it touches unable to be used for three posts (their posts). It cannot cover an entire head, so it can only cover a hand, arm, foot part of a leg, etc.
Requirements: 5 Earth 5 Ninjutsu
Effect: Lowers opponents agility by five, causes weapon to weight a weight more, if covered an opponents hand they can't perform seals, and makes oncoming projectiles useless or stop in tracks. Effects only last three posts.
Cost: 9

Shield of Rock [NJ]
Description/Seals: [Ram, Boar] A large round plate of Earth shoots from the ground in front of you to block an attack.
Requirements: 5 Earth 5 Ninjutsu

The person in question must be within 25-yards of his current position and be upon a surface directly connected to the ground at his feet. They also, naturally, must be in direct contact with the earth. They must then spend their next turn regaining their footing and cannot attack. This can only be done once per fight.

History
Born to ordinary parents, a small group of farmers in a land long-since abandoned by any single country, his early life was just as ordinary as his father's and mother's had been. He had an older sister, only by a few years, and the four of them seemed content to simply live out their life quietly. His world was devoid of conflict and struggle, until one day when a group of Village Shinobi attacked his family with seemingly no purpose. They burst in during a dinner, slaughtering his mother and sister and torturing his father for information while they used him as a way to break the man's will. Zyou endured intense agonies for the few minutes it went on, but suddenly another commotion from outside intruded in upon the disturbing scene. An old man, clearly on in his years, took the fight straight to the heart of the Shinobi and massacred them with minimal effort. To the young, impressionable child Feng Zyou, this would forever be the shaping point of his life, when he saw first-hand just what could be done to the weak by those with the strength to do it. He would never again be content in merely inching by.

Though his father survived, after the loss of his wife and daughter he seemed empty. Perhaps ashamed of his inability to save them he took his own life, leaving Zyou in the care of the old man at the age of five. The man, it turned out, was none other than his great-grandfather, his mother's grandparent and the last surviving member besides Zyou of the line of their family. He was, and had been for over three decades, a missing-nin from a Village he refused to name...in explaining this he brought Zyou into the world of the Shinobi, teaching him of the secretive wars and politics of the world outside their small forest home and instilling him a desire and hunger to grow. To Zyou, the old man elected to pass down his heritage, training him from that day forward in the art of ninjutsu, and making no pretense as to the urgency of his growth. The lessons were both painful and difficult, but each day he survived Zyou felt stronger than before. For three years he trained intensively, learning the basics of Chakra and combat, inheriting his great-grandfather's tiger hook sword and learning it's style as well until, finally, old-age and time caught up with the ancient man. He was too old to fight, having lost everything to time and his enemies, and in the end they met for one final showdown while Zyou was out collecting herbs. The timing was too perfect and had to have been premeditated by his great-grandfather, for when he came back there was no sign of struggle, no bodies save one: his ancestor and the last true Feng Shinobi lay dead by his own hands. An honorable death, unwilling to give his opponents the satisfaction, his head had nevertheless been removed and likely brought back as a trophy.

On his own, Zyou adapted quickly, moving from his home of so many years and opting instead to carve a small cave into a base of operations. From there he trained alone, working his own ninjutsu and adopting several custom techniques for himself while constantly watching the road. Eventually he would find other people, bandits and thieves hiding from various things, and after a brief scuffle from which he always emerged as the clear-cut winner he would have them join him. This 'band' goes by no name and, aside from deferring to Zyou, has no official leader. Instead they operate, together or on their own, and attack any passersby to obtain the necessary money and information that they require. The only ones safe are merchants, who they instead trade with for food and clothing and weaponry.

Lately, in the past few years as rumors of growing forces abound, Zyou finds himself learning of a battle among forces he has never heard of prior. Because he has virtually no knowledge of the past outside his own quiet life, he must learn what he can from those he fights or robs...he knows, however, that soon the need for secrecy will be over, and the villages and forces will emerge until the strongest one stands victorious. He has plans, already set in-motion, once this comes to pass...now all he has to do is wait.

OOC: Yeah...not my best but meh. Also, after adding up the stats of my old character Reikokusuke, the total stats would've only been 114. Since the character sheet isn't there anymore anyway, and it's only 8 points, I figured it wasn't worth the effort and just made a brand-new character.
