Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
Looks like Drathmar's influence hasn't worn off in the transfer between boards...and I might be seeing some from my current character in the more recent requests. (More advanced versions of my stage 1 and 2 limit breaks, basically.)

Steal doesn't cost anything, because it is a Command Materia. This is based off of that, as well as an Ability that takes HP and converts it into MP. The difference between that Ability and this Technique is that I am using someone else as the HP source...becoming something of an energy vampire, so to speak. Having a cost for it would be entirely counter-intuitive.

This would defiantly need Drain as well.

Also, since you're using Steal, you have to follows the rules of Steal. That means that if they're faster, or have Maintenance, you get dust and possibly a sexual harassment charge.

I REAAAAAAAAAAALY don't want to me a dick about this but I have to spark up some concern with this. As it stands, with the bare requirements, should you be in equilibrium you gain +210 stats. I know its not exactly perfectly easy to keep stats in equilibrium but isn't kinda way hax?

It seems fair enough to me, but I suppose he could reduce the bonus to 25% or recieve some sort of penalty for not being in equilibrium, etc.

Not really, Gin. Look at it this way.

Kyosuke gets a grade of 13. He can place that any way he wants...+5 to Strength, +5 to Speed, +3 to Endurance, for example. That yields a +13 to HP. Cool.

Zander gets a grade of 13. He has to maintain his balance, to it's +1 to each Stat and then +6 to a Skill...we'll say Casting. That yields only a +7 to HP.

Theoretically, any other character will increase much faster in HP and MP than Zander will. This will allow for more spells to be used, Limit Breaks to be achieved earlier, more Techniques (since you can put more points at a time into Intelligence than I can), etc. Sure, this gives Zander boosts...but only to try to help make up for the fact that because of his dedication to balance, he is woefully in danger of falling behind.

Mattox's maxim holds true here, sadly. Zander will be good at everything, but great at nothing thanks to his spread focus. This ability just makes an attempt at leveling the playing field.

And now that it has been explained, I'll move it to the Approved section since Takeda already allowed it. :P

@Takeda: He already has a +25% Equilibrium Ability, its getting replaced for this upgrade

@Takeru: A small amount of MP and HP gain is a small benefit considering that at 120 all stats Zander is being given +420 stats overall. As I said I was just trying to make a point across to get ready for the +100% stat ability you are eventually going to make, and yes, I know you would have if no one raised a single objection. I would if I were you anyway.

I also want to point out a huge flaw in your example. In that Kyosuke gains +6 HP over Zander. While that IS a net gain for Kyosuke, Zander is getting +30 Strength/Magic which adds +30 total damage, 6-30 = -24, I don't see how that's any sort of advantage for Kyosuke.

Actually no, I was planning on leaving it at 50% because no one in their right mind would ever approve an Ability that doubled my overall stats.

And for another example of the difference...the most Zander can ever raise his stats by is 3 points at a time. Any other character can dump an entire grade into a single stat, if they wish. You can do in one thread what would take me seven or eight.

Plus, if someone comes up with something that lowers a base stat and uses it on me, I'm boned because that will negate all of my boosts for however long the effect lasts. It will leave me with lower stats than any other person on my 'level'.

Lets just put it this way, I think you said it best after all. Takeda approved it, the move IS approved and I, personally, don't think anyone is going to take it back. Hearing you say what you just did though makes me happy because, I was being honest, if I made a set of moves and no one complained Id continue. Be that because I'm stupid or I want to see how far I can go with something I don't know.

On a side note, I like your second explanation a lot better and you pose another good point. But yeah, moves approved and that's it, sorry for causing a small problem.
