Pending Abilities Name: Greater Dual Wielding Description: Like Dual Wield, this allows the user to wield two weapons at one time. However, beyond that, it also allows the user to use any techniques or limit breaks made for one weapon, with both at the same time, though not without a cost of course. For techniques, it increases the cost by 50% (since without an ability you could just pay the cost twice to use them at the same time). For limit breaks, it drains all your remaining MP to 0, and you must have at least 50% of your remaining MP remaining to use this with limit breaks. It also replaces the normal Dual Wield ability. Requirements: 50 Weapon Skill, 50 Strength, 30 Intelligence, 30 Spirit; Replaces Dual Wield Cost: Increase technique costs by 50% when using them with both weapons at once, All remaining MP with Limit Breaks used with both weapons at once. Pending Limit Breaks Name: Shards of a Black Rose [Level 1, Slot 2] Description: A black aura rises up around you, covering you with what looks like black flames all over the body, surrounding you in their darkness. It leaks out onto the blade in your hand, swirling in a spiral around the black blade. The aura pulses hard around you as you start to swing the sword, and suddenly rushes around the blade as you flick it around yourself, elongating it into its whip form. As it comes around in front of you the black aura pulses again and the blade separated into eight separate flying pieces of the blade, moving toward between one and four targets and each wrapped in the dark aura, in groups of two. If hit by the shards the dark aura from them wraps around the users face in a dark band covering their eyes. Effect: Separates your sword into 8 flying pieces, that have to move in groups of two, so they can target between one and four targets. Each piece of the blade does 15% of the damage of a normal attack (so if all 8 hit one target it would do 1.2x normal damage). Anyone hit by this attack is also blinded by it for a number of posts equal to the number of shards that hit them divided by 2 (rounded up). So if your hit by 1 or 2 your blinded for one post, by 3 or 4 blinded for 2, up to 4 max. This blindness lowers the target(s) accuracy by half. Drains as normal. Requirements: Level 1, 2nd limit break slot. Cost: None Pending Techniques Dark Slash Description: After learning his limit break shadow slasher, and learning to channel his dark energy into his attacks with the darkness falls tech, he came up with this ability. Much like the limit break, shadow slash, this technique allows Drath to focus his own dark energy into his sword, to unleash a blade made of pure dark energy. Dark energy gathers and swirls around the blade as he uses the technique, and as he swings, the sword forward the dark energy is unleashed in an arcing blade that flies from his blade toward the target in the form of a blade made from darkness. Effect: By channeling dark energy into the blade, he allows a dark blade to be sent flying at his opponent. However, this technique sends pain wracking through his body, causing minor damage to him. It also has to be powered by his MP to send it away from himself as a blade. Unlike shadow slasher, besides the cost, it also only does base damage equal to his Spirit stat, and the attack is considered the dark element. Also, you cannot drain health with this attack. Requirements: 40 Spirit, Darkness Falls, Shadow Slasher, Dark Inclination, 25% alignment or lower. Cost: 4 mp + 3% max health Pending Quests ---------------------------------------------------------------- Approved Abilities Name: Weapon Drain Description: After becoming somewhat skilled with a weapon, he learned that he could willfully draw the lifeforce out of a person through the wounds caused by his weapon, draining them of their life energy through it. This allows him to drain them through his weapon instead of just through his claws. Effect: Drains however much HP he did in damage to foe with weapon into himself up to his spirit per attack. Cannot go over max HP. Requirements: 20 Weapon Skill, 20 Spirit, Cursed Claws Cost: None Approved Limit Breaks Name: Shadow Slasher [Level 1. Slot 1] Description: A dark aura swirls up around him, turning black and dark violet mixing together around him, and leaking out along the blade in his hand completely engulfing it in the black purple aura. He then slashes with it, and the aura from himself swirls into the blade as he starts the swing, and then as he follows through a large blade of dark energy flies from the sword at the opponent. Effect: A black blade flies at his opponent, whose damage is equal to (spirit + weapon strength), and whose speed and accuracy are normal. It also drains half the damage done by the attack, though it has the advantage of being a ranged attack. Requirements: Limit Break Access Level 1, Cursed Claws, Weapon Drain. Cost: None Approved Techniques Quick Dodge Description: Your great leaping ability your increased eyesight that makes things seem slightly slower, you can push yourself to quickly leap out of the way of attacks, increasing you ability to dodge slightly because of this though its hard on your body to do so. Requirements: Legs of the Dragoon, 20 Endurance, 20 Strength, Enhanced Sight Effect: increasing your dodge rating by 20%. Cost: 10% Endurance and HP Leaping Slash Description: You push off the groudn with your leaping ability, but leaping horizontally straight at your opponent instead of into the air, slashing with your sword at the same time to use the force of the leap to add to damage. Requirements: 20 Weapon Skill, 20 Strength, Legs of the Dragoon Effect: Increases damage by 30% (cause of legs of the dragoon, legs damage doesn’t stack onto this this is the legs damage) for that attack, Can’t change direction until after landing. Cost: 15% Hp Darkness Falls Description: You pull further on your dark heart, pulling out the darkness inside of you in a physical manifestation of it. Your dark heart already manifests itself in a minor form in each of your attacks, but with this you learn how to pull out even more of your darkness on a whim, and use it to increase the power of your attacks with darkness. When you do, a dark aura springs up around you, like dark flames covering your body, the more darkness you put into the attack the stronger the aura around you becomes. The only problem is handling this much dark energy is hard on the body. Effect; For every point of alignment below 35% you can draw on more dark energy to increase the damage you deal with an attack you do this with. However for every 4% you add to your attack you lose 1% of your own HP rounded up. Example: At 30% alignment you can add 1-4% more dark damage to an attack at a cost of 1% of your own hp, or 5% more dark damage for 2%. Requirements: 30 Weapon Skill, 30 Spirit, Dark Inclination, 34% alignment or lower Cost: 1% hp for every 4% damage increase Approved Quests Weapon Name: Shade Description: [Hands: One] This is the twin to his own sword midnight, made to look almost exactly the same as it, the same black steel forming the blade that can be extended into a whip, the same black metal forming it. There are a few differences to it though, one being the cross-guard. It still ahs the shape of black wings spread out and curving up toward the blade, but they seem to be feathered black wings instead of demonic ones like his sword. The other difference is that the symbols of kanji running up the blade are gold instead of silver like on his own. The last difference is that the black gem in the pommel seems to give off darkness instead of absorbing light, though it doesn’t actually just seems to. The materia slot in between the wings is already filled as well, with a yellowish colored materia. After 3 topics over the limit in which he does not drain anyone, he goes crazy, and will attack the next person he meets with his claws to feed off them. Requirements: Failed Experiment Vampire Cost: None Cure Resistant Description:. Another unfortunate side effect of the experiment that was another reason it was considered a failure was he became unable to be healed by any other means, meaning potions, cure spells, regeneration spells, nothing else worked on him, though the actual drain spell still did as he was still draining life force. This was because his body grew use to only being healed by others life force, and rejected the curing from spells and potions because it was not from a living being. Effect: -Cure spells, regen spells, and potions have no effect on him, only draining can heal him unnaturally. Status effect recovery items/spells are unaffected by this and still work as they are bringing him back into balance, not really healing him. Requirements: Failed Experiment Vampire Cost: None Vampiric Boost Description: As part of the experiment in creating a vampire, albeit better than the legends, without light weakness and some other weaknesses, they increased his physical abilities by injecting him with Mako energy much as they did their soldiers. Though it was slightly different when injected into him and caused the adverse side effect that with his other modification, caused his hunger for others life energy which his body turned into Mako energy. This was because he needed to keep regaining it in order to keep his abilities else it left him as he grew sick with the hunger, until he restored it by feeding. A marked side effect of it with the other modifications found through testing was that he could only use one magic materia and no summon materia as they didn’t seem to work for him. Effect: -Gain + 10 Speed, Strength, Agility -Can only use Drain magic materia and no summon materia. Can use Command/Support materia normally. Requirements: Failed Experiment Cost: None Dark Inclination Description: An unseen side effect of the experimentation used to make this better vampire, was that along with the hunger and the ability to drain others of life force, this modification also caused him to become closer to the dark. Hurting and killing others caused no emotion in them, though he still felt emotion, he just didn’t care about who he hurt or if he hurt them or killed them. This also had a so far unknown side effect of him being able to harness the darkness inside of himself, though he is not quite dark enough yet to do so or realize he can. My advice is to cut down the descriptive elements on Life Hunger. Very few people want to read a wall of text to understand what a particular thing does. Simply list what the effects are and what they require and I'll take another look at it. As for Life Boost, attacking everyone near him when going berserk seems slightly overpowered. Change that to the person nearest him and it should be just fine. |

Completely re-worked to be more in line with what he was suppose to be, loosely based on vampire myths but enhanced to be better without the weaknesses, though this caused a whole new set of weaknesses. Cost: 2 Endurance + 10 Hp Leaping Slash Description: Using your great leaping skill, you coil your legs and leap straight up and at an opponent, arcing through the air to bring your weapon down in a great blow on top of them. The only problem with this attack is that you can’t change direction until a few seconds after you land, and it leaves you vulnerable since you actually land with the weapon. It also Takes a great effort, lowering your life force a bit when used. Requirements: 20 Weapon Skill, 20 Strength, Legs of the Dragoon Effect: Increases damage by 50% (cause of legs of the dragoon, legs damage doesn’t stack onto this this is the legs damage) for that attack, Can’t change direction until after landing. I'm not sure why, but leaping slash seems WEAKER then it should be. I'm to lazy to look but do Legs of Dragoon only give you a 50% damage boost when its in a technique? If not I think the damage should be boosted to 75% total (50% from legs and 25% from tech) due to the fact that anyone can leap and slash AND it hurts you to do it but that's just me. |

That true, but you only get the 50% from legs of the dragoon if its used in a technique or limit break so you wouldn't get it with just a leap and a slash. Of course, it does seem somewhat... unfair to have to hurt myself just to make use of an ability however. |

Ok so it IS a 50% boost when in a technique only. In that case I don't think the damage is needed unless you give it a boost above what it would naturally get for you having the requirements already but that's me. |
