Pending: Power of Momentum Description: Every played a game and you noticed that once you start winning everything seems easier? Well in Constantine's case he seems to be able to get his momentum up with every successful hit with his trusty weapon. This added momentum seems to increase his strength a slight bit. Better watch out... Requirements: 40 weapon skill, 30 spirit Effects: For every successful blow landed with a weapon in a row Constantine's strength is increased by 5% with a maximum of 25% Cost: None Approved: Extra Enhanced Taste and Smell Description: Every wanted to know if a bitch was clean without the time it takes to get into her pants? Well here is the solution! Super smell!! Smell her through her pants and panties that is if she’s even wearing any. Also you can smell an enemy's gun powder from a fired shot or smell the metallic blood that was spilled in a recent battle within a range of 30 yards. When it comes to the taste well it’s less useless but you can taste the exact amount of salt in your soup... Requirements: 30 spirit, Enhanced Taste and Smell Effects: Can smell things up to 30 yards away, and he has very refined taste buds. Cost: None Power of Momentum Description: Every played a game and you noticed that once you start winning everything seems easier? 1/4 approval for extra enhanced taste and smell. Question about Momentum. Does those hits need to be consecutive or is it just each hit, no matter if he was hit or missed in between? |

1/2 approval on Enhanced taste and Smell the momentum...idk...what does spirit have to do with it? and don't get me wrong i do like the idea, but just trying to be clear. Edited by Sarge, Dec 27 2008, 04:14 PM.

Has to be consecutive and because i figured it was like the will to win... like his spirit gets his momentum going... |

ok that works and you also brought up my second question. it does have to be consecutive. so its Hit1: +5% Hit2: +10% Hit3: +15% and so on and you can not do a Hit1: +5% Hit2: Miss Hit3: 10% and so on. that make sense? and if that is right can you make it more clear in the description and effect? |

Now...does the Power of Momentum apply to hits over the period of one turn, or several? And does a partial hit count as a hit or a combo-breaker? |

Question 1: it applies over severel because if it was one it would be awful godmodish for my power to increase a bunch during one turn before the other person even gets to respond... Question 2: A partial hit would vary depending on how "partial" it is... |

Even if Partial Hit counts as a hit is fine. 5% boost is tiny, and even if it grows, it will most likely be dodged before it becomes a huge problem. Although... Now say if you had a Materia or Technique, that when used does multiple hits: would it count as one hit or several? Either way, 1/2 approval. This is just clarification. though i think i already know the answer how would it react with duel wield and the new attack system quoted above? i am assuming if you hit them 3 times in one post then the first strike gets +0, the second +5%, the third +10. and then after that the next post you do the same thing, the fourth would get +15%, the 5th +20 and the sixth +25 and then any after that you get nothing more. so over 2 posts you can get +25% to strength. I am also assuming that with duel wield that it is per weapon and that the bonus to your right hand weapon does not stack with those of your left hand weapon. is that right? this is just for clarification i don't have a big problem with it, just depending on your answer i am going to suggest slightly higher requirements:P Edited by Sarge, Apr 11 2009, 09:32 AM.

It's not too hard unless the target has Last Haste and/or Reflex. |

yeah and the main thing is the number of attacks in one post. if you can hit once you are almost guaranteed a hit with a second unless you barely hit him the first time. so its not just the hitting in a row its the ability to hit consecutively twice a post you can get your full damage bonus in just 2 and a half posts. now change it so that it can only be kicked off once per post so that it takes 5 posts to get the full bonus and i'm fine with it having lower requirements. Over-thinking this, bud. We should all just approve this now, because comparing the fairness of other abilities, say Dragoon Legs' 30%, this is fine. |
