Kyosuke had been standing in front of the elevator panel pressing the down button as fast as could for awhile now and it was about time for it to arrive. With a medium sounding Bing noise the elevator doors opened, only to have a hail of gunfire shot from them. Unluckily for the young SOLDIER, part of his body was exposed to the interior of the elevator and he was shot twice before he rolled flipped left and planted himself against the wall next to the elevator to dodge anymore shots coming at him. His right hand firmly grasping the hilt of his sword, Kyosuke waited to see what was going to happen next.

Sure enough, the terrorists riding the elevator came out as they continued to shoot until they ran out of ammo and needed to reload. From where Kyosuke stood he saw they he wasn't the only one to get hit with any bullets as another SOLDIER was hit with three. This usually would cause Kyosuke to laugh but he was on a mission and any damage taken hurt the team so things were starting to look bad. Luckily again though, these flesh wounds weren't about to stop any of the SOLDIER's from completing their mission and this filled Kyosuke with pride.

One of the SOLDIER's, of which got shot thrice and Kyosuke did not know the name of because he wasn't paying attention to anything as he had rushed to the elevator, drew his Naginata and began an assault against the guard closest to him while another Sentry and SOLDIER deployed an attack against the one farther away from him. Not to steal the Naginata wielding SOLDIER's thunder or anything, Kyosuke drew his blade and spun counter clockwise to slash at the terrorists neck. If successful, the terrorist would get hit by both his attack or the other SOLDIER's because it was an attack on two fronts. Heck, if the best case scenario, both SOLDIER's would hit the target and hopefully kill him.

If the two were successful in dispatching the terrorist, as were the other two members of the group or at least one of the two hit the terrorist on their side, Kyosuke was to run into the elevator shouting, "Everyone, its obvious the van is under attack now and we've been delayed long enough, lets hurry!," as he would then wait for everyone to get in the elevator. If someone was trying to be funny and decide to take their time to get in the elevator he was going close the doors on them and descend down to the mission objective with the obviously trustworthy SOLDIER's who decided the wanted to see this mission through to the end.

Had neither Kyosuke or the other SOLDIER hit their target, the young SOLDIER would continue his swing using the momentum of the circular attack to preform another swing at the terrorists neck.

The two AVALANCHE members in the elevator were taken out quickly, allowing them all to enter. Once they gained access to the elevator, the doors would close behind them as it began to travel down to lower-Junon where a massacre was about to take place. The elevator would take a short while to travel down and could be a huge hindrance to them all. Thankfully, the actions of the young girl Kiku bought them some time. Not much, but hopefully enough.

Meanwhile...

"Take her out!!" a voice called from the Sniper's walkie-talkie that's pinned to her shoulder. He began to take aim at Kiku in hopes to take her out. However, it was hard for him to hold the gun straight. His body was oozing a black liquid that seemed to be causing him pain. He hissed out loud as he fired at her, missing entirely. The bullet would have grazed her shoulder causing a deep scratch. All Kiku would have seen was a line of smoke and a hole in the ground in front of her.

"Hurry, take the driver out and steal the truck!" the same voice called out from the other AVALANCHE soldier's radio piece. He hissed as he aimed his gun at the window of the driver and began to fire at him ruthlessly. It was obvious that any humanity left in these Ravens was long gone. They were not concerned for the life of others, they just did what they were told for it was all they knew how to do.

Just as the AVALANCHE member opened fire onto the truck driver; the elevator with those working for Shin-Ra opened at the bottom. The only thing they could see was a wounded girl, a Sniper on a roof and a man firing a machine gun at a truck. The man in the truck was ducking down under the wheel for his life. Hopefully they would be able to act in time. Hopefully...

Zander let a small smile form on his face as his attack connected, following practically immediately by the hyperactive Kyosuke, of all people. Between the two of them, they managed to disarm and eliminate their target, while the other AVALANCHE member was handled by their silver-haired comrade and another man with a dual-bladed sword of some kind. There was a brief pause before everyone realized that the elevator was now free, and while everyone made to enter it Zander paused and bent down, grabbing the machine gun that his opponent had just finished reloading before being disabled. The dark-haired young man held Radius in his left hand and the gun in his right as he stepped into the elevator, just in time to hear a slightly shorter man with no visible weaponry say that he would heal them all.

"Heal me, please."

Rockport was courteous, even though it was technically unnecessary. It never hurt to have a skilled healer on your side, after all. The gun was tucked under his right arm as he reattached his naginata to his back, then waited with the rest as the car began to descend. It was difficult to tell if they had all managed to get into the car in time...there were so many of them on this mission, and some had seen fit to stand back and allow others to do the fighting for them. That was a subject of annoyance for Zander, who had been out of action for weeks now and was practically itching for a good battle...something that he would never fully admit to, of course. A love of battle could lead to a love of victory, victory to the pain of opponents, pain to death...and that way lay the path of Sephiroth. Or so he had been told.

Aleczander inspected the gun as they descended, trying to familiarize himself with all of the components and mechanisms in a short amount of time. It seemed fairly basic, all in all. All Sentry and SOLDIER members went through firearms training at some point, even if few decided to stay with such a common weapon afterward. His skills with a machine gun were definitely rusty, but hopefully they would be enough to dole out some damage before he went in for a face-to-face encounter. Every second seemed like an hour as the elevator lowered, and when the ding finally sounded it was as if the clouds had opened up after a long storm to let the sunshine beam down upon them. Zander was one of the first out of the metal box once the doors opened, surveying the area quickly.

It was, to put it simply, a war zone. A truck was crashed over to one side, with what looked to be a scantily-clad civilian girl bleeding nearby. Another truck was stopped a decent distance away, with an AVALANCHE member firing his machine gun at it without care for the safety of anyone else. Finally, what appeared to be a sniper was perched on a nearby rooftop. Deciding to take action, Zander lifted the stolen machine gun and fired off the entire clip at the sniper, trying to follow the movements and maintain aim while shouting orders to the others.

"Silver Hair, Kyosuke...take out the enemy attacking the truck! Healer, go tend to the female civilian! Anyone with long range attacks help me with this sniper, and everyone else either keep an eye out for more AVALANCHE members or help Kyosuke's team. GO!"

Once his ammo ran out, Zander tossed the useless gun to the ground and hipped his naginata off of his back. He held it carefully but firmly with both hands, ready to go on either offense or defense, depending on what the situation called for.

Used a machine gun stolen from the AVALANCHE members on top of the Plate to attack the sniper. Emptied the entire clip while trying to shoot said sniper. If this is not allowed Cloud, let me know and I'll edit that out and come up with something else.

The elevator had finally started descending towards their final objective point though it might have already been to late to make any sort of difference. It wasn't just Kyosuke's imagination anymore, AVALANCHE was indeed here and some of them had already infiltrated the upper level meaning they obviously had alot of control over the lower level where the truck was. Lucky, it seemed that there were three others besides Kyosuke who decided they were going to do anything at all. Of these three, the one who the young SOLDIER attacked an Avalanche member witch, of whose name he didn't remember if he heard it, seemed to be very professional and knew what he was doing.

"Heal me, please," the Naginata wielding SOLDIER had said, surly hoping someone of the group packed into the elevator had a restore materia on them or even a potion. Kyosuke too had some blood dripping down his right arm as he had been shot their twice but he hadn't noticed yet as he was to worried to think about it. Regardless though, this SOLDIER fellow seemed like the leader type and Kyosuke decided he would listen to him if the time came, that is unless the young SOLDIER already have a plan of his own.

The elevator suddenly came to a stop though as it had reached its final destination, lower Junon and it was now time to get off and get to the truck. As the doors flew open though, the worst of Kyosuke's fears came true as there were dead bodies lying around along several injured including a young woman. To make matters worse, their was a sniper aiming towards either the truck or the young girl and another AVALANCHE member shooting his machine gun at the truck, perhaps killing the driver which they needed alive.

Grabbing his sword in both hands, Kyosuke was ready to dash out though he didn't have any plan of which target to go for. Luckily, just the man he hoped would stand out did. ""Silver Hair, Kyosuke, take out the enemy attacking the truck! Healer, go tend to the female civilian! Anyone with long range attacks help me with this sniper, and everyone else either keep an eye out for more AVALANCHE members or help Kyosuke's team. GO," the naginata wielding SOLDIER shouted as he drew his weapon. It was obvious what he was going to do now.

"Heh, you don't need to ask me twice whatever your name is, I save the girl and the truck! Get someone to make sure the sniper is dead and stays that way!," Kyosuke then shouted back to the leader of the group, or the one this young SOLDIER had decided to elect leader at least. He then charged straight towards the AVALANCHE terrorist attack the truck with his sword out at his side, blade forwards ready to pierce its target. "Over here you Avalanche bastard," the young SOLDIER then yelled, trying to get the terrorists attention away from the truck. Even if it didn't work, Kyosuke would have a preemptive strike on the armed man.

Kyosuke's goal was to thrust his great sword straight into the stomach of the machine gun toting terrorist where as if he failed he would then come to a stop and deliver a spinning chop towards the mans neck hoping to decapitate him or at least damage his throat. Time would only tell if his plan would succeed or if he would die.

Items and HP

SOLDIER Blade
Description: [Hands: 2] This is the basic sword handed to all members of SOLDIER. It is mass-produced in the effect that if it breaks that it can quickly be replaced as to not render a SOLDIER unable to fight. Higher ranking operative’s blade might have a few tweaks to it, as a 1st class is allowed to use the blade of their choice, it is very well suited to combat.
Strength/Durability: 20
Materia Slots: O O
Material: Iron
Weight: 5

SOLDIER 3rd Class Armor
Description: As is the weapon of a SOLDIER, this outfit is standard issue among all members. While the 3rd class armor is weaker then that of its 2nd class and 1st class partners, along with being light blue in color instead of the purple or black respectively, it still has its uses. It is very flexible and breaths well which allowed the operative wearing it to not be restricted in combat and if it is damaged it is easily replaced.
Strength/Durability: 10
Materia Slots: None
Material: Leather
Weight: 2

HP = 131/155

12 Damage Per Bullet if I did the calculations below correctly
Bullet = 25 Damage - 10 from armor = 15 - 3 from endurance (30x0.1=3) = 12 x 2 = 24 Damage total 155-24= 131

Dodge = 30 (Speed) + 20 (Agility) = 50/2 = 25<30 & 25>15 = 2 Bullets

Isame heard the sound of gunfire, and immediately ducked down so that his body would be less of a target. He dodged most of them, but one bullet struck him on his right arm. He still had control of the arm, but it was a little bit harder to move it. He saw one AVALANCHE member still firing at the truck and a boy from SOLDIER running at him, trying to take out the threat. Isame ran over to him to help, just in case the man was too much for him. Scott wasn't underestimating him, he just wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong on this mission and that they didn't loose anyone.

(OOC: if you want to be this person, ask Riku IC. I’ll only heal 1 person, so ask first :) )

Riku had successfully maimed his opponent to a point that he would not move any further. He was just about to start healing the people who had gotten shot, when they all started rushing into the elevator. Well, if they would rather keep fighting, it’s all fine by me. Either way, there’s probably more important matters down there… With a sigh, the teen followed suit and entered the small chamber that would soon start moving downwards. While inside, he would gladly heal one person who wanted to be healed. If nobody wanted to be healed, then he would have no issue with that.

Soon after they had entered the elevator, the group as a whole arrived at the bottom of wherever they were. At the ground laid several dead bodies, which were of little to no concern to Riku. If they’re dead, there’s no point of trying to mess with em’.
Turning his attention to more important matters, Riku was commanded to protect a certain girl who was injured, along with the task of keeping a truck safe. Knowing that he was probably going to get hurt, the teen ran out at full speed, dove, and tackled the girl’s body so that nothing could hurt her without going through his body first.

“Take cover!” Riku shouted unnecessarily as he landed. Without taking another moment’s hesitation, he cast restore on the girl and awaited others to do something about the truck. I’ll just protect this person from danger until it’s safe.

Quote:

Riku ran out like an idiot, attempted to tackle Kiku, and is planning on using himself as a body shield to protect her from any more danger. He’ll leave doing stuff with the truck to someone else.

The elevator finally was clear, and ready to be boarded. It was clear to Michael that down bellow was chaos, and they were about to walk right into it. The elevator ride was long. Probably seemed even longer due to the anticipation of what they were gonna find. When they got to the bottom, and they doors opened. What they saw was chaos indeed. A huge battle had broken out, and it was to the five of them to try to stop it. The guy who had got shot before gave the rest of them orders.

"Silver Hair, Kyosuke...take out the enemy attacking the truck! Healer, go tend to the female civilian! Anyone with long range attacks help me with this sniper, and everyone else either keep an eye out for more AVALANCHE members or help Kyosuke's team. GO!"

Michael immediately ran up weapon in hand, and went in to slash at the guy attacking the truck. He hoped that the rest of the team could take out that sniper. If not this may be a short lived mission.

lost in thought call search and rescue
Pain ripped up Kiku’s shoulder as a bullet grazed her. Her temper flared up again and this time she did not check herself. Grabbing a brick she turned and from the smoke trail she had seen found the one who took a shot at her. Kiku reared up to a standing position and hurled the brick as hard as she could. This aggravated the wound in her side and tugged hard on the latest injury she had picked up. She did not however let that stop her from attempting at least to fight back. Kiku having hurled the brick decided to let common sense take back over and was about to begin looking for a place to hide.

The next blow took her completely by surprise as she was tackled by someone she had not seen coming. She landed on her backside and was ordered to take cover. As she was not a soldier she did so without hesitation. There was scant cover but she kept as low as possible. As she crouched down waiting for the next barrage of gunfire or attack she felt the pain leaving her body. While some pain remained and the bullet could still be felt in her side the wounds were gone. Eventually she would find a good doctor to deal with the bullet if she survived the battle.

An idea came to her that was likely foolish in the extreme. However; she was still mad at these brigands and wanted to hurt them back. If they could keep the enemy busy then she could take the truck herself. She had no plan to steal it but she did plan to drive it on to Junon. If it stayed where it was it was just a sitting duck. Kiku sighed and rubbed the spot she had been shot earlier. As Kiku had made up her mind already she rearranged herself for a run. “I am going for the truck. We need to get it moving again otherwise it’s just a sitting duck. Please keep them off me.” With that Kiku made a mad dash for the truck.

Kiku skid to a halt by the driver. “I am taking the truck into Junon. It can’t stay here otherwise those jerks with the guns will take it.” Kiku did not wait to see if he had heard her as she climbed into the truck. Throwing it into gear Kiku hit the gas while staying as low as possible. She was just high enough up that she could see ahead of her. She drove towards Junon praying fervently that she would not get shot again. As the truck lurched forward Kiku could only pray this was as good of an idea as it sounded when she was being healed. As they say fortune favors the bold but throwing caution to the wind also leads to an early grave. Kiku could only hope it was the former.

Patience, a virtue Dagast had none in. The metal box that elevated through the duct of the building was going slow and after a few moments Dagast started to tap his foot which turned into him pacing. He was on the edge of excitement that he didn’t know what to really do. As he paced back and forth he looked at the light above the doors as it arrived at a symbol that resembled an ‘R’. He thought it meant roof or possibly the top floor. Different mechanics use different functions of codes when building an elevator when it wasn’t a clear numbered floor. So many things went through his head as usual. The before jitter bugs always kicked him in the stomach with much anticipation. The thought of failing, the thought of succeeding.. the thought of wondering could this all be an ambush or how he was going to go about the mission was present although he didn’t show it. The only thing he showed was the anxiety for the mission on his face and an open mouth as the elevator door broke away from one another and revealed two men standing in suits. They had black hair and wore combat suits. They stepped forward and raised something from their hips. Dagast raised an eyebrow and quickly move his left hand to his Vanishing Star Gunblade.

As his hand wrapped around the handle of his sword, a roar could be heard from the two men as they aimed up machine gun’s at all of the SHIN-RA affiliates on the mission. The barrels form the two guns began to release rounds of anguish and hatred at Dagast as this time he had his sword unleashed already and blocking some of the shots directed his way. His sword was quite large but not a bubble of protection as two bullets penetrated around the blade of the sword nicking his skin around his arms. Wincing at the pain of the wounds he received he reacted instantly. He rolled to the side and got to his feet in a crouching position and began advancing towards the elevator doors.

At this time the two men on his side of the battle rushed forward. He didn’t know if they had gotten hit by the fire of the AVALANCHE soldiers or not. One tried disarming the one on the left while the other pulled out a weapon that looked like a giant key. It was flashy and looked like a super key… some joke would have came to mind but a wow escaped his lips as the man spun around with dual-swords at the right assailant with a flashy move aiming to cut him. Dagast slowed his advance down as he was far to the left watching to see what would happen.

‘No sense in us all rushing and attacking the same enemy. If one of them fails… backup is a definite course of action from me…’

As the two men were disposed of the rest darted towards the elevator and proceeded on down the shaft. At the bottom they surveyed a downed and wounded woman, a sniper on a roof and the van under fire. Quickly a SOLDIER who Dagast name had forgotten already barked out orders. They were quick and decisive and quick clear. Help take out an opposition or survey around for more AVALANCHE. Most sprung quick to their tasks. One guy was healing, while others seemed to take out the guy with firing on the truck. Dagast quickly made his way to the truck while the other SOLDIERS occupied their time. He went to open the door and attempted to get the civilian out the truck safely. His idea was that no casualties needed to occur for others ideals. He would make sure the man got out of the immediate area quick as he looked around and motioned for the man to go, watching his back. He was now on the other side of the truck bent down and all that could be seen was his black boots resting on the ground as the repeated shots and sounds of clanging metal was heard.

Bullets starting dmg: 25 per bullets shot.
Bullets hit with: 2. {50 dmg)

25(damage per bullet) – 10(Soldiers Vest) – 6(10% of endurance) = 9 damage per bullet.

Dagast was hit by a few bullets afte rblocking most as he rushed forward trying not to focus on the pain. Before he made it two other affiliates of his beat him to the punch and mounted assaults. SLowing his pace he opted to observe and react accordingly.

The other SOLDIERs managed to kill the AVALANCHE members with ease, no thanks to Jack. Though Jack didn’t like the fact that he wouldn’t see any of the action, he knew that it would be better for the entire team if he simply healed. Jack walked towards the back of the elevator. As they waited he heard a voice say “heal me, please” said a young dark haired boy, about Jack’s age. Jack’s left arm started to glow green with the power of the Restore materia. Jack’s white hair to move slightly as the energy flowed through his body. It then was released in a ball of green light, healing the wounds of the one who requested aid.

“Seven more cures people.” Jack said. Letting everyone know the number of cures he could cast. He waited until the doors opened to see only chaos. As Jack walked out of the elevator with the others he saw there were a few enemies around. One in particular was a sniper aimed towards a girl. One of the Sentries healed her, but that didn’t stop the sniper from taking out someone else. The Sniper was out of Jack’s reach, obviously, but he could still strike it with a Blizzard, though the area would become dreadfully cold because of it, if it helped the others finish the mission it was a chance that Jack had to take.

Jack’s right arm began to glow blue and the area around him suddenly became cold, very cold. He aimed his Blizzard towards the sniper on the roof, hoping that it would hit. His breath and everyone else’s in the area became visible as the shards of ice flew towards their target. He was not the most skilled materia user, but he was one of the few available. He and many others attacked the sniper, perhaps this barrage of magic and bullets would be enough to save the driver, and the girl. Jack’s only wish is that his first real mission be a success.

The two members of Avalanche were not particularly strong, in fact they were hardly above average humans with slightly enhanced aggression. This mission was low priority for Avalanche and was mainly a tactic to show that they are not weak as terrorist. Sure, those in Soldier would think otherwise, but Soldier was but a small population of people in this world. If those in Junon were in fear of Avalanche, then they won.

The man attacking the truck was taken out by the slash of Michael, causing the already weakened man to fall to the ground with his innards falling out from the slash wound on his torso. However, the sniper on the roof didn't fall so easily. Making a quick dash down the building, he managed to avoid all of the bullets fired at him from Zander. Like a trained soldier, he rolled when he hit the ground with his gun aimed at the head of the man who fired at him. A red dot zoomed in between the eyes of Zander as the man focused in on his target.

"Bang..." the man hissed to himself as his finger touched the trigger, ready to fire. The sound of gunfire went off as the bullet strayed far away from it's target, hitting the wall behind Zander more towards his right. Instead, sticking through the Sniper were shards of Ice fired by Jack. The shards of Ice caused the man to have his aim thrown off, resulting in his miss. The Sniper was relatively weak but had immense training with his Sniper. If Jack did not hit him with Blizzard, Zander very well could be dead right now.

"I am taking the truck into Junon. It can’t stay here otherwise those jerks with the guns will take it," Kiku voiced to the man in the truck. All the sounds of gunfire had come to a halt as the man looked around confused.

"I... I think that Avalanche is dead ma'am," the driver said in a nervous voice. His eyes glistened with tears from fear before he swatted them away with his right hand. "Thank you a lot ma'am, you helped save my life," the man said as he stepped out from his truck to get a good look at all those who stopped his truck from being over-run by those in Avalanche.

As if from nowhere, the man who met the men working for Shin-Ra on the roof walked out from the elevator. He pushed his glasses up before walking up towards the truck.

"Good job everyone, you saved the day despite my doubts," he said calmly and blatantly. "But, because of your efforts you shall receive an award... undocumented of course," the mysterious man said as he waved his hand towards the Driver of the truck, ordering him to open the back door.

"Uh.. Yessir!" the truck driver said, saluting the mysterious man before rushing to the back of the truck.

"Well, what are you waiting for... go retrieve your prize from the," the man paused before putting both his hands up making quotation gestures with two fingers, "Prize Closet."

Kiku was included in this prize handout. If they all made their way towards the back, they would see boxes and boxes inside the truck. The driver hopped inside to grab a box. It made a strange sound when he moved it down from on top onto the edge of the truck. It sounded like there were thousands of small orbs inside the box. It was obvious it was Materia. The man opened the box, revealing many different colors of Materia. It was all Green and Yellow though.

"Pick one, all of you. You deserve it. I don't quite know what is in here, but it's all new Materia not available to the public yet," the man said with a smile on his face.

Quote:

If you pick Green, state so.
If you pick Yellow put a (1) or (2) next to the word Yellow.

EX: Bob grabbed a Yellow(2) Materia.

That will decide what Materia you got. Do know that there is a chance you cannot use the Materia you grab yet.

Zander grimaced and his hands tightened on his naginata as the sniper dodged the spray of bullets and rushed down the side of the building. A sudden burst of cold air distracted him from the laser guideline pointing at him, and then just as suddenly the sniper had been gored by several shards of ice. The Soldier's gaze flickered over to the name that had healed him before, and he gave his comrade a small smile and a nod of appreciation. The Healer had saved his life...it was not something that he planned on forgetting.

A sort wet plopping sound alerted him to the demise of the other member of AVALANCHE, and the dark-haired young man had to fight to suppress the disgust that threatened to emerge at the sight of another man's intestines spilling out onto the debris-strewn pavement. Zander shook his head and heaved a small sigh as he slid his weapon back into place on his back. He slowly made his way over toward the truck, adjusting his outfit and smoothing down his hair and goatee as he went. Now that the fighting was done, he could handle his annoying little compulsions of order and cleanliness. The thought of the latter brought the feeling of the blood inside of his clothing and armor back to the forefront of his mind, and he could not stop his upper lip from curling a little in distaste.

The suited man from the start of the mission appeared then, offering them an off-the-books reward for their work. As the box opened, Zander's features morphed into a reserved smile. He gave the obviously relieved truck driver a small nod and reached into the opened box, pulling out a Green Materia orb before stepping away to let the others have their turn. Once he had enough space he pulled Radius off of his back and equipped the Materia into one of the available slots, then sheathed it and turned to address the group's client in quiet tones.

"I believe our work here is done. Appropriate payments have likely been made, I would assume...although allowing us to take some Materia is very much appreciated as well. If you need anything else before we depart, feel free to let us know."

Zander gave the man a small smile and stepped away, pulling out his cell phone and switching it off of vibrate before going to his contacts. A quick selection started the ringing, and after a moment he got an answer.

"Yes, this is SOLDIER Third Class Rockport reporting in. Mission success, low injuries and no casualties for our forces. Civilians have been managed, and the chopper can be sent back to pick up the team whenever possible."

He paused, listening to the voice on the other end of the line, and then made an affirmative sound in the back of his throat.

"Of course, that will not be a problem. I will secure the area and return when possible. Rockport out."

Zander flipped his phone closed and turned back to the rest of his group, who were retrieving their bonus Materia. He waited a moment to get their attention, even as he faintly heard the sound of the chopper approaching.

"Chopper is coming back for pick-up and evac. E.T.A. is two minutes. Secure yourselves and your belongings and get ready to move out."

Dagast actions in this mission were miniscule at best. His late reactions, his inability to really do anything due to lack of speed and range made him think to himself. He thought if this was a mission with lesser people, they would have failed because he was not properly skilled for the mission. The people had guns, although he had Gunblade… he had no range skill or prowess at a distance. He was a guy that took care of business up close and personal.

Upon realizing that the driver was alright, Dagast noticed the truck began to rev its engine as someone else was driving. Looking in the window he saw the girl who was down from before. She had the same idea he had, just that she probably thought of it first. Another useless avenue that lead Dagast into his thinking. Looking around he saw the remaining two AVALANCHE members lose their lives at the hands of SHIN-RA.

At the end of the squabble… it seemed to be it. The man they met on top of the building congratulated them. When he did Dagast stood erect in an attention stance and raised his hand in salute to the mysterious man. After lowering his salute the man brought forth a box that had rolling sounds coming from inside it. On the inside was yellow and green Materia that was brought up as a reward. Each person would pick a materia and have it to keep.

Dagast knew nothing about material and soon after he started thinking the Rockport started speaking. He noticed that It was quite simple and a low amount of forces they employed here. He opted to stay back to keep an eye on things. His integrity was something special but he did need to tend to his slight wounds. Dagast walked and stepped forward.

Dagast looked around the box as he walked forward and picked up a Yellow(2) one. Hopefully this had something in it that he could really use. ‘Here’s to wishful thinking’…

With the coming approach of the Chopper, Dagast decided would he return now or would he go somewhere else. He ha dbeen statione din Midgar forever and it got really boring besides the female he met. He had grown fond of her through their meeting. He would decide when the chopper arrived he assumed as he looke dover the large Yellow marble that is known as materia.

The battle was over faster then you could say the word pie, well, not really but you probably get the picture. Kyosuke had gravely wounded the terrorist who was firing the machine gun but he didn't kill him with his blow as it took another SOLDIER to come and finish him off. All's well that ends well though as the target died and the truck was saved from being captured, for the moment at least. All that was left was the sniper on the roof but it wouldn't be long before he had been taken care of by the rest of the SOLDIERS.

The naginata wielding SOLDIER had previously fired an entire round at the AVALANCHE sniper on the roof, and while none hit, it caused the terrorist to get closer to the ground where he was almost instantly killed by a magic proficient SOLDIER's ice magic. It was then that every AVALANCHE member was dead in the area, though things were oddly silent despite the fact that the elevator had been moving down towards the crew. Kyosuke took no notice of this as he went to the truck where the civilian woman was to check on both her and the driver of the truck. Things were alot better off then this young SOLDIER thought though as the driver didn't seem to have a single scratch on him.

"Thank you a lot ma'am, you helped save my life," the driver said as he exited the truck to see who had saved him. Assuming he knew how many AVALANCHE members there were from the start it would seem that there were only four to begin with. Shin-Ra must not have had much pride in these 3rd Class SOLDIER's if they needed to send nearly 1.5x as many of them to take out AVALANCHE. Regardless, the mission was a success and Kyosuke would be payed along with the fact that he was yet again one step closer to ranking up as a SOLDIER to that of a 2nd Class.

"Good job everyone, you saved the day despite my doubts, but, because of your efforts you shall receive an award... undocumented of course," said the man they had met on the roof. He had come right out of the elevator, seemingly out of nowhere though this did mark the end of the mission for sure. The man then walked towards the truck, obviously because he had business with it since it was his truck afterall. The driver was then ordered to open the back of the truck, which he indeed did, revealing several hundred materia which were a combination of both Magic and Command Materia. "Well, what are you waiting for, go retrieve your prize from the," said the man as he paused to make quotation marks with his fingers, "Prize Closet.".

As Kyosuke approached to receive his prize he noticed what the two SOLDIER's before him picked. The naginata wielding SOLDIER was the first to arrive and he took the one type of magic Materia that was on the truck while Dagast, the SOLDIER who had followed and personal acquaintance of Kyo's, decided to take one of the two command Materia in the truck. Being that this SOLDIER didn't want to be a copy-cat and take one of the Materia the other two had chosen, Kyosuke decided to take the third Yellow(1) command Materia in the truck. Now at least one of every type of Materia was taken and, hopefully, be used too.

"Uhh, I have a question if I may so ask," Kyosuke questioned. There had been something on his mind this entire mission and he just had to ask it. "Since the mission is over, may I ask who you are? You seem like a really important person so it would be in my best interests to learn who you are now," the young SOLDIER blatantly asked the man. If he would get an answer in return though, that would be a completely different story. It was at that time an important bit of information was relayed to the group.

"Chopper is coming back for pick-up and evac. E.T.A. is two minutes. Secure yourselves and your belongings and get ready to move out," said Mr. Naginata, the name Kyosuke had decided to call him. It was almost time to leave and go back home, or at least the closest thing to home a SOLIDER had.

Riku had tackled the girl and had healed her as planned. Well, I guess that went well, he thought as he recalled his orders. However, his body jolted to a standing position when he realized that he had forgotten to heal somebody. Knowing that he would probably have some repercussions for that later, the teen decided that there were more urgent matters. One of which being the one that the girl had given him concerning her well being. He neither had the concentration nor the speed to stop her, and she went running off towards the truck. My god, I heal her, and now she’s back on a suicide mission.

Without thinking about helping those behind him, he decided to simply jump on top of the truck and defend it from there. If a mob of terrorists happened to show up, then he’d be ready. If anything tried to blow up the truck, Riku would simply take the blow even if it hurt. Well, I guess I finally found a situation where speed really isn’t what I want.
As the truck finally started to move, the teen crouched down as to not get thrown off instantly. As the vehicle gained speed however, Riku found it harder and harder to hold on. It wasn’t until they were moving rather fast that he realized that he’d probably die if the truck suddenly stopped.

To solve his latest issue, the teen jarred one of his keyblades into the roof of the truck and held on for dear life. What to do now?

Riku had been prepared to ride on the truck for a long while, but it either didn’t move, or didn’t get very far. The man who had previously insulted the teen’s rank suddenly stepped out of the elevator and offered them a reward of some kind. What a shnuk Riku thought as he jumped off of his perch, removing his sword as he went. Walking with the group of men towards the ‘reward closet’, he wondered about how easy the mission had been overall. Well, I guess it’s cause I was lucky enough to not get shot back there. Oh well, I’m not complaining.

As Riku approached the prizes, he decided to close his eyes and point at the one that he wanted. This made it completely random, so that he would have no regrets about it in the future. It better be good! he shouted in his mind as his swerving finger finally came to a stop.

SOLDIER 3rd Class
Scott was amazed that the battle was over so quickly. He barely got to do anything...As the man stepped out of the elevator, Scott walked up to stand next to the now stopped truck. Then the man said something that sounded really weird. He told them to pick something from the "Prize Closet". Isame saw that what was in this 'Prize Closet' were a bunch of boxes that had Materia in them.

"So we just pick one?"

Isame waited as his teammates walked up and picked a box. When it was his turn he stood there for a minute looking at each of the boxes in front of him. He finally picked one after thinking about which one he thought would be a good choice.

"Hm, mine says 'Green'. Wonder what kind of Materia this is..."

Once he had grabbed the box he wanted he walked away to stand next to the boy that had tried to stop the truck by jumping on it and jamming what looked like a giant key into the truck.

"So, that was over kinda...quick. By the way, my name is Isame."

When Michael slashed at the guy, it killed him rather easy. Spilling out his insides on to the ground, the member of Avalanche was dead. Michael turned to see if the sniper was also out of the picture. He wasn't at first but it didn't take long, and he was also dead. Michael looked back at the body of the one he killed.

"Okay well that was easy enough." Michael said.

Michael put his weapon up, and dusted himself off. About that time the man from the drop off point in the suit showed up again. He told them that they got a prize for a job well done, and they got to pick out one of whatever was in the back of the truck. A guy opened the back of the truck, and it seemed to be some sort of Materia. Michael nodded at the man.

"Thank you sir. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know." Michael said.

Michael stepped away for a minute to phone in that they were done. He pulled out his cell, and dialed in the number.

"Mission accomplished." Michael said

"Someone from your team already called in. We are sending the helicopter back to pick you up now." The voice on the other side said.

Michael put up his cell, and walked back to the truck. When he heard one of the team say the copter was coming back to get them, and to be ready.
Michael went to the back of the truck, and looked down at the Materia. There were yellow ones, and green ones. Michael grabbed a green one, and put it in a safe place. This mission was a success, and he was now ready for the trip back.

lost in thought call search and rescue
As soon as it ended the battle was over. She listened to the driver thank her and bowed slightly in response. The act of bowing pulled her shorts even tighter against her backside. It was all too much and Kiku rubbed her arms as if she was cold. She was after all no warrior. There was so much to take in and even though the pain was less she still hurt from being shot. Kiku took a deep breath and slowly let it out to calm herself. The people that had come to her rescue and that of the truck driver seemed to be from SOLDIER. Kiku took another breath and noticed someone new coming from the elevator.

He was well dressed and well groomed. The shades did not bother her much they added a mysterious note to the man. Then again she had no idea who he was anyway but that was a minor detail. She gave a soft purr kind on like a cat that finds a large fish in its bowl. When the man mentioned a prize closet Kiku could not help but think about finding a way to get close to him. Kiku ever watchful for a good deal went to the prizes with the others. While she had little aptitude for magic she had been meaning to play around with it at some point. She lifted a green orb from the other prizes. That one seemed to work for her.

Once she had selected her prize Kiku also came to a decision about the gentlemen. She would have to hunt him down when she was more presentable. If nothing else the blood smeared on her side and leg would be distracting from what she would want him interested in. Perhaps sometime soon she would head to Midgar and see about finding a job among Shin-Ra either as a SOLDIER or something else. She would have to wait on that one. Still if he was as rich as he looked it would be worth the effort.

Jack’s Blizzard struck the target. The sniper was thoroughly skewed by multiple shards of ice, through and through. The young SOLDIER was pleased with his first kill, for it was to save one of his allies. He breathed a sigh of relief as the last of the enemy was destroyed. The cold air allowed his breath to be visible. ‘That is why they call me Jack Frost’ he thought to himself. He smiled as the man he healed nodded at him. Jack nodded back before looking around to see if there was anything else that needed to be done.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, came the man from before. He congratulated the group on their victory in spite of the strange group that arrived. The truck was then opened for the group. Inside was dozens of different materias. One of them was green and the other two were both yellow. Green materia meant it was a magic spell of some kind; while the yellow materia held a secret technique. Jack’s father used allot of the Yellow materia. Though for his specialty it would be better if he had the Yellow materia, Jack’s hatred for anything that was like his father caused him to pick up a green materia. The Green materia glowed bright in Jack’s hand as it was absorbed into his left arm, replacing the Restore materia.

Jack placed the Restore materia in his pocket as everyone else chose their prize from the truck. It was a just reward, getting top secret materia. The large spheres radiated with energy, energy just waiting to be released. “Good job boys and girls.” Jack said to the others. He listened as Zander called the chopper. Now Jack simply waited like the others to be picked up by Shinra. Jack was then off to do the next mission that his employer has planned for him

"Since the mission is over, may I ask who you are? You seem like a really important person so it would be in my best interests to learn who you are now," one of the Soldiers asked the mysterious man.

"No, I remain anonymous so that I am not tracked by those who wish to have my head," the man said blatantly as he walked towards the driver. "If you will excuse me, I have business to attend to," he said once more as he looked at the driver and the truck. "Did we lose any merchandise?" Mr. X said with a calm voice, not even asking if the driver was okay to begin with.

"Well, yes... our special package seems to have gone missing," the driver said looking at the ground in shame.

"Ah. Shiva... she's gone then?" the man said looking around at his surroundings.

"It happened before I came to Junon, I stopped to set up camp so I could drive at my best when something attacked me, it wasn't human so I was able to take care of it with some materia... but they made off with it," the driver said with a frown. "I think they took it because it was the only red one, some monsters are particularly drawn to that color, ya know?" the driver said once more.

"I see... I guess it can't be helped, we'll have to obtain another one," Mr. X said with a sigh as he turned in the direction of the elevator. "You can take the week off, paid vacation... good work," he finished before walking off. "All of you, good work... only a single casualty," he said as he walked by the corpse of the old man who was gunned down before the men in Soldier got there. The mysterious man ordered the elevator open so that the truck could be driven into it.

"Right, well... thank you all and good luck with any future missions," the truck driver said before closing up the boxes and the back truck door. He hopped back into his truck and drove it into the elevator. The door to the elevator closed and with that, they were gone.

Seconds later the sound of a helicopter sounded as it landed just outside of lower-Junon to pick up those who were ordered back to base. They'd all have to fill out reports on the mission, nothing to grueling... just your basic military paper work that most units have to do. They'll need that time to heal up anyway.

Zander's eyebrows furrowed slightly as their mysterious client refused to give them his name. That in itself was not exceedingly unusual, but the way in which he submitted the statement was...as if he was doing something wrong, something that could possibly even be considered illegal. The Soldier glanced down at his phone, nestled in his right hand, and subtly flipped it open, tilting it a bit in his hand and activating the video recorder. While doing so, he silently wandered just a few feet closer to the conversing pair, making it seem as if he was just waiting around for the chopper to arrive. By doing so, he was able to get both of their faces in the screen, as well as their voices and a view of the inside of the back of the truck. The information could end up being useless...or it could end up being of the greatest importance. Only time would tell.

As soon as the conversation ended, Aleczander silently stopped recording and tucked his phone away in a way that was nearly impossible to notice unless one was looking directly at him. He would review the video later to try and see if he could identify any of what they had been discussing, since he had been too focused on looking nonchalant to actually listen to them. Moments later the sounds of the helicopter increased as it landed outside of the town's limits, little more than a hundred feet away. Zander stepped back to allow others to pass him, but reached out and clasped his hand on Dagast's shoulder to stop him before he too could leave.

"I will not be riding back with the rest of you. Headquarters is concerned that there may be some additional complications here in Junon, and want me to stay and keep an eye on things for a few days. Make sure everyone gets back to Midgar...and keep an eye on the two those that killed. I have done so before, but I am not sure if the rest had...and the backlash can be tough to deal with at times."

Zander tightened his grip on Dagast's shoulder a bit in a reassuring gesture, then stepped back. He made to turn away, then paused and glanced back at his comrade.

"Oh...and good job today. You kept a level head, which is important on missions like these. I look forward to working with you again in the future."

The corner of Zander's lips quirked up into a sort of half-smile as he nodded at the other man and turned to walk away. He would need to find an inn to stay in while he patrolled the town...although the patrolling could wait until he had fixed his outfit and cleaned up the blood that was seeping into the interior lining of his body armor.

So nasty...

‘Remaining nameless…’

It was always a sign showing what rank they all were. Most of them were entry level positions under the big tree. Some were Sentry, others were SOLDIERS. The entry level position was on a need to know basis and simply they didn’t need to know who this guy was. They just needed to know the mission was complete and well deserved rest awaited them.

Looking over the Materia he ha din his hand, Dagast faintly saw the image of a man. The man had a dagger in his hand and the image showed him attacking many in the leg. He spun the orb around to look at it form all angles and all he saw was the same man attacking multiple legs. After he attacked them, the adversaries seemed to fall or hold their legs tightly in pain. It looked like a move with paralysis involved in a weak level.

Dagast pocketed the Materia for later. He would take it to Dispatch after working hours and ask Starsha to help him with it. She was his operative in Dispatch that was responsible for his reports, progress and conveying information from then higher ups to him. He turned around as a loud noise and wind was felt by the SOLDIER. He noticed everyone start to walk as he looked around. He was heading towards the chopper last as he passed SOLDIER Rockport. He felt a hand across his shoulder as Rockport shared some words with Dagast.

Dagast nodded and looked to see if all the operatives were up in the chopper. Hopping in last he looked back at Rockport and gave a slight smile. It seemed like he found a comrade within SHIN-RA that was similar to himself. Hopefully; just maybe they would work more with each other in the future.

"No, I remain anonymous so that I am not tracked by those who wish to have my head," the man said blatantly as he walked towards the driver. "If you will excuse me, I have business to attend to," said the mysterious man who had given them their mission. It was obvious he either had no care for Shin-Ra in and of itself or he just thought of everyone there, including Kyosuke, as to low below him to give his name. At least, that's how this young SOLDIER felt as he began to do squats to take his attention off of what he man had just said. Preforming squats was a standard exercise that everyone in SOLDIER could do, not that they actually would do it despite the fact that their were friendly competitions involving who could do the most in the shortest amount of time.

It mattered not though as the chopper back to Midgar would arrive soon and everyone would go back to report their mission and eventually be given another all together. Thus was the life of a SOLDIER, only as free as those trying to kill them, which was indeed alot of people. The chopper did come though and many people started boarding it. Kyosuke stood inside next to the door as he looked out to see if their were going to be any surprises as everyone was boarding.

Luckily, and probably obviously, there were no complications with boarding the chopper except for the fact that Mr. Naginata had decided to tell Dagast something and then walked away from the helicopter. His inner gut told him that the poor guy was ALREADY assigned a new mission before he could report back his own one and that had to suck bollocks. He hadn't gone to far though by the time Dagast had gotten on the chopper and Kyosuke decided he should wish him luck on his new mission.

"Bye bye Mr. Naginata! Good luck on your new mission and with your new Materia!," Kyosuke shouted, probably out of range for the man to hear and definitely out of range to get a response back had the man been close enough to hear him in the first place. Despite getting shot in the arm twice, the mission wasn't to hard and the young SOLDIER had gotten a free Materia out of it, though one he couldn't use, but a free one none the less! The chopper had taken off and was now headed for Midgar, they would be their soon.
