Any Ice damage against the user is reduced by 100%, but all Fire damage against the user is increased by 200%. Cost: None. Unsupported Cold Description: As the cold sets in, all those within the range of Winter Chill will have their powers deteriorate. Requirements: Winter Chill (in effect) Effect: All person’s stats caught within Winter Chill are reduced by the sum: [(User’s Magic) – (Opponent’s Endurance)] per post, to a minimum of 1. Cost: None. Frostbite’s Insanity Description: As the cold sets in, all those within the range of Winter Chill will have their minds deteriorate from frostbite. Requirements: Winter Chill (in effect) Effect: All characters with a Spirit Stat lower than the user’s Magic Stat will be affected. They will suffer from a stacking Poison ailment and be put under Berserk and Confusion Status. Cost: None. Ruler of the Berserk Description: Having a cool attitude causes those to not feel angry with them, cooling opponents down as well, but also to stay calm themselves. Requirements: Winter Chill (in effect) Effect: Those under Berserk status instead avoid attacking the user as they feel content towards them, and will instead just fight among themselves. Berserk status is impossible for the user to fall under. Cost: None. Great Coldness Description: A great icy storm will explode from the user, causing the area to fall into trifling conditions for all those around. Requirements: Winter Chill (in effect) Effect: Causes everybody within the vicinity of Winter Chill to have any of their comparisons/sums of success reduced by the user’s Magic Stat. They will be put under a stacking Poison ailment. Cost: None. Pending Techniques N/A Pending Limit Breaks N/A Pending Items N/A --- Approved Abilities Extension of the Kusanagi Description: From garnering the ability to connect with the infamous Kusanagi Sword, Edgar has learned to extend himself through the blade and extend and retract its length through his own force of spirit. The blade is only to retract one foot in length, but is able to extend itself a kilometre into the distance, moving with speed only rivalled by the users’ soul. Of course this makes the sword hard to control, and only those with the keenest of eyes are able to use this ability to its’ fullest potential. Requirements: 100 Spirit, 50 Kusanagi Sword Skill, Enhanced Sight Effect: Able to retract and extend the Kusanagi Sword at X Speed. X equal to Edgar’s Spirit. Cost: 5 MP per Extension or Retraction Change of Luck Description: Edgar has always been a bit of a clutz, not to mention all the drama he has faced in life, but his luck just might be changing. Well, with the help of changing everybody elses' luck while he's at it! Requirements: 65 Spirit Effect: Abilities that reduce or increase anything by a percentage are switched around, doing the opposite of of what they were originally intended to do (to good or bad). This doesn't effect Edgar, and only those in a thread with him. Cost: N/A Kite Legs Description: Reminiscent of the god’s of the clouds and how they jump from one horizon to the other, or the Dragoon Knights of old who use their legs for great power; the Air Walker’s appear to glide with the wind as their aid. Elegant and steadfast, an Air Walker will be able to ride the currents of the wind with the utmost ease. Walking carefully further up into the clouds, and using those currents as platforms to jump across the horizon, or whereby riding and gliding across currents with swiftness beyond most aircraft. Requirements: 100 MP, 50 Agility, 50 Speed, 50 Magic, 75 Spirit Effect: Allows one to walk among the wind, and use it to ride, glide and float on and travel along without a problem, neglecting Travel Threads entirely. This halves Wind/Earth damage taken by the user when using this ability. All attacks have the Wind element added to it. Cost: 5 MP Per Turn Soul of an Immortal Description: A testament to his meeting with Dagast, Edgar's lean and slim physique seemingly acts as a ruse, the state of immortality present when blows don't seem to harm him, much like Dagasts, making Edgar appear undamagable without the use of Libra. This ability does appear less brutish and more spiritual though, with a feint aura of air winding around his form, wich appears to be the reason for his invulnerability to damage. Side Effects: This ability allows for Edgar to meet an attack without being physically damaged or moved, although the attack will still damage his HP as per normal. Basically, instead of HP representing Edgars' overall damage, it now represents how tired he is. This is because pain is transfered into tiredness. With this logic, by healing, Edgar becomes less tired. This ability allows for Edgar to appear more durable, but the same rules apply to him having no HP as any other character ... if his HP becomes low enough he can become so tired that he'll stop breathing and die. Requirements: 25 Endurance, 75 Spirit, 50 Strength Cost: N/A Adorable Description: Some character are just way too adorable, so adorable and cute that nobody but the meanest of man can bare to hurt them. This causes people to withdraw a lot of the power from their attacks - sadly, this comes with a price. Those who are adorable are incredibly ticklish, and therefore can be defeated easily, as in knocked out, by simply tickling them for two posts. Effects: All Damage is reduced by 50% due to being Adorable. Doesn't work if opponents Alignment is lower than 20%. Requirements: Must be Cute; Character must be horribly ticklish (as in debilitating). Cost: N/A Kite Minded Description: The wind is a strange tool, used by the mind of a young boy who has made a pact with it, and now used it to strengthen his spirit. This causes the wind to gust around him wherever he goes, and thereby strengthen his attacks. Effects: Increase all Wind Element damage by 20%. Requirements: 70 Spirit, 50 Magic Cost: N/A Icy Semblance Description: Edgar has reached a coolness within in his own soul, and the Holy properties that cascade within him appear to spill out in the form of an icy breeze that follows him, giving him more elements to his strikes. Requirements: 50 Spirit Effect: All attacks have the Ice and Holy elements added to them. Cost: N/A Approved Techniques Whisper in the Wind Description: Then, as the wind blows a silence begins to still every noise within the vicinity, and everything goes quiet within an echoing plain where everybodies voice is stolen. No matter how one may try, no one can speak within Nature's Breath. Requirements: Nature's Breath Active, 50 Spirit Effect: Causes Silence Ailment to everybody within the vicinity of Nature's Breath, unless unaffected by some resistance. Silence only lasts as long as one is within Nature's Breath vicinity. Cost: 5 MP per Post Trifling Chill Description: As the wind blows coolly and envelops everybody except Edgar within the vicinity, they can't help but let go of their defences and will-power, and are weakened by the cold. No matter how one may try, they can't help but feel numb within the harshness of Autumn's Chill. But among some, the kicked down and out, they may rise up and take back what is theirs: the warmth of victory! Requirements: Autumn's Chill Active, Change of Luck, Ice Materia, 50 Spirit Effect: Causes everybody within the vicinity of Autumn's Chill to have any of their comparisons/sums of success reduced by Edgar's Spirit Stat. As an added bonus, Change of Luck will also take effect, now magically infused with the power of a Materia to aid it. These effects act as status ailments, and only lasts as long as one is within Autumn's Chill vicinity. Cost: 6 MP per Post Approved Limit Breaks Nature's Breath [1st Limit Break Lvl 1] Description: Empowering his own mouth with an energy unlike any other, well, any that Edgar has felt, he will then blow it out of his mouth in the form of a great swirling gust, the released and revolving wind that encircles himself, stretching out, and following Edgar within a 50 foot diametre unless obstructed. Strangely, this wind appears to have a mind of it's own, evading Edgar's form and not letting him succumb to the trifling effects of a strong gust. Requirements: N/A Effects: Increases the speed of the winds' blowing currents by X km/h in Edgar's vicinity for the rest of the thread. X being 50% of Edgar's Spirit Stat. Cost: N/A Autumn's Chill [2nd Limit Break Lvl 1] Description: Empowering himself with an energy much like Nature's Breath, Edgar will let this energy swell within his lungs and he will then blow it out of his mouth. This energy will then appear in the form of a great circling breeze, although most noticable by it's icy appearance. The released and chilling air that encircles Edgar, stretches out, and it follows him within a 50 foot diameter unless obstructed. Strangely, this chilling air appears to have a mind of it's own, evading Edgar's form and not letting him succumb to the same trifling effects of cooling temperature as everybody else. Requirements: N/A Effects: Decreases the temperature to -X (Degrees Celsius) within the vicinity. X being 25% of Edgar's Spirit Stat. This effect lasts for the rest of the thread. Cost: N/A Approved Items Kite Pants Description: These strange white pants, beautiful in design, are made and laced with an odd material coated by the wind element. With this kind of design, it is only right that it will strengthen the users element of choice. Effects: Increase all Wind Element attacks by 20%. Weight: 1 Cost: 2,000 Gil Kite Boots Description: These strange white boots, beautiful in design, are made and laced with an odd material coated by the wind element. With this kind of design, it is only right that it will strengthen the users element of choice. Effects: Increase all Wind Element attacks by 20%. If this ability allows you to fly, then you really need to up the stats. Float requires 200 mp, which requires 100 in 2 stats, and that's just for flying itself. Even if it isn't, you need to up the magic requirement. Also it costs 1 what each turn? |

A few more question. Does this allow you to skip travel threads? It says it halves wind damage. What about earth damage? Also, up the Mp cost to 5 or higher. |

(1)It does the same as Leg's of Dragoon for travel threads. Still gotta do them, but they're really easy. Changes are in bolded: Kite Legs Description: Reminiscent of the god’s of the clouds and how they jump from one horizon to the other, or the Dragoon Knights of old who use their legs for great power; the Air Walker’s appear to glide with the wind as their aid. Alright, now this is a type of flight, right? Tailwind and Sustained Flight will allow you to skip travel threads if this is flight. anyway, I see no problems now. You might want to mention the travel thing, though. |

Nature's Breath [Limit Break Lvl 1] Description: Empowering his own mouth with an energy unlike any other, well, any that Edgar has felt, he will then blow it out of his mouth in the form of a great swirling gust, the released and revolving wind that encircles himself, stretching out, and following Edgar within a 50 foot diametre unless obstructed. The ability is approved as it is mainly just for show. Do know if someone stabs you with a sword, it will make you bleed and make you look hurt. Same if they manage to cut your arm off. But basic slashes, punches, etc. Wont do much. As for the Limit Break... I'm guessing it is a devious plan to set the stage for something far more severe. Also what are knots? Approved both of 'em. |

Ok, the abilities look fine. As for the item, since I'm assuming accessory, 20% is way too much of a boost for that cost. Also, you don't need requirements for an accessory, but you do need to add a weight. If you want it to be a 20% boost, it will probably cost about 4000 Gil or be so heavy that it's not worth it. If that doesn't sound appealing, then I think 600 Gil for a 5% boost in wind sounds about right for an accessory. |

Okay, you don't need requirements for Limit Breaks, so you can take out the 50 Spirit requirement. Also, what does that do? Does it just lower temperature or is there some other affect to it. For the ability, why do you need Kite Legs for it, and how does cold air heal someone? Either way, 20% healing every turn is way too much, especially for an ability. |

Edited in a better description. This also uses Holy elements within the Ice to protect and heal wounds, which protect Edgar from the far reaches of the sky which are very cold. Lowered it to 10%. Kite Legs is a Requirement because it follows the same priniciple of using air around him, but instead cooling it and giving Holy properties due to Edgar's experience and connection with his Heal and Restore Materia.
Edited. This limit break just lowers the temperature by half of Spirit in Degrees Celsius. Basic room temperature is usually 30 Degrees in Celsius, so with 60 Spirit Edgar can lower the temperature to 0 Degrees. 0 Degrees in Celsius is freezing temperature. The aim of the move is basically to help me when I get Elementalist ability. So I can use a stronger Ice Materia. Edited by Kenny, Mar 31 2009, 11:53 PM.

Extension needs some sort of MP cost, since you're altering the physical properties of something. Something like 5 MP to extend to retract it, with the understanding that when it is fully extended (a kilometer in length, really?) your swing speed is decreased by like 90%. This move seems to be made more for stabbing than for slashing anyways, so that shouldn't be too detrimental. As for Change of Luck, way to copy Gin's new Ability, lol. I'm not gonna comment on it further, since I'm kinda biased toward percentage boosts. :P |
