A meeting was arranged, Riku was to be picked up by Ali-Geuard, a former student of the Master Cronal. Was different in appearance then most Humans he was bulkier his skin seemed darker, but that might have been because of his tattoos. He wore a curved sword on his right hip, and had the gait of an emperor or a king. When Riku arrived to the underground compound this the first thing he saw, and immediately he questioned why this man would want to help him. For know he waited watched and held his tongue. The king like Ali led the Clone through the compound showing him various things around it until they arrived at a large room he called the RTC Gym or real time combat gym, he seemed pretty proud of himself on this place he had mastered. He was going on and on about the various capabilities and such when finally he got to the point. “I hear you got a problem with a cyborg, a big problem, “said the kingly Ali. Riku began to speak, but the smaller man raised his hand, and continued to speak. “They have lots of fire power a good deal of money but, did you notice the one thing we don’t have a lot of personnel , that’s where you and your friends come in, you see this cyborg bone kill, he works for another guy named kingpin and he runs most of the illegal activity around this planet, owns half what passes for a government around here but he don’t own me. Well, you see this Kingpin is not the type to share, so he clamped down on us hard, shutting down things left and right, confiscating ships and such and arresting my friends , I’m sure you get it.” Ali said “Ok you’re in then let’s get some intel-” Riku said. “Already ahead of you my eager friend, before I let you in on my delicate plans, I mean to ensure your sincerity, that is to say I wish you to become my brother. There are two tests, one to join the star wolves and a second to prove to me you can lead a group, command as it where. Complete both tasks and I will make you a member of the star wolves. Are you ready to begin?” the long winded Ali never ever took a breath. Riku only started to say yes when the fast talking Ali, drew his sword and moved to strike in one fluid movement. Riku was quicker then Ali had anticipated, moving quickly he dodged to the right and kicked the knee of the advancing leg and drew his sword in a smooth motion moving his blade to the neck of the pirate. This move was not successful however as Ali’s neck was no longer there and instead he was spinning on the floor his legs sweeping the Clone warrior sending him to the ground. The two warriors scrambled to their feet and took their stances. Ali’s style was unlike any Riku had ever seen. His blade was strange as well it was single edged and broad bladed with a curve that seemed to Riku to be pretty extreme. The pirate load held his sword high above his head and stood in a wide stance. The thief master stepped forward and lunched into a rolling strike that not only rolled but moved as it rolled up and down. But his every stroke was blocked by Riku, from a distance it might have looked easy but it was clear to Riku he was getting pushed back. The rolling strike continued to barrage the poor Riku, pushing him back but Riku wasn’t one to give up easily, moving forward in a strange turn of pace, and tactics he broke the rolling rhythm. Moving to the right of the warrior he slid his blade across the side of the pirate lord clicking against the warrior’s armor with a hiss. Coming around he brought his sword up in a diagonal swing aimed at the princely thief’s left shoulder, the fast acting Ali brought his sword up in a circular arc blocking the downward thrusting blade. The blade spinning demon brought his blade around to bear, Riku was nearly stuck as he scrambled to guard himself from the unrelenting strikes from the agile warrior. It was then that the Clone’s mind started to grasp why he was being beat. He was playing Ali’s game letting him make the rules letting him control the flow of strikes and the momentum. The momentum that was the key, thinking and moving quickly he brought his sword in to swing and brought his heavier sword to rest on the back of the spinning blade and brought it to the ground. The clever and resourceful Ali tried to escape by forcing the blade to the side only to be trapped with Riku’s larger blade against the inside of his blade guard, with a twist of the wrist and a quick motion of his arm Riku ends the bout his edge against the Human’s throat. “So you can fight, but can you steal? Your next test is one of stealth intelligence leadership and strength, report to the hanger to meet your team and learn your assignment out the door down the hall blue door on the right.” The pirate lord spoke naturally as if instead of on the brink of death he was just shaving. Pulling his sword from the throat of his new comrade slowly at first, then in a swift motion sheathed his sword and turned away leaving out the door. The warrior wondered how the decision he just made would affect his people and himself, and the future as a whole. He shook his head to clear away the negative thoughts. He placed his hand on the door and begun to pull, opening the door. Once inside he saw several familiar faces, it was master Cronal and his disciple Gar they where strangely dressed accompanied by a strange dark blue skinned man. When the man was asked said he was the pilot and that he would be dropping them off. The master Cronal cleared his throat and begun to speak. “The plan is simple in order to arrive on the ship we will go in dressed as cooling system maintenance, while there we will have to break in to the captain’s private docking bay and steal the tear. “ The master’s speech was short and sweet. While the ship was prepped, Riku changed into the clothing of a maintenance worker. Before long they were loaded on the small ship there weapon’s hid inside their fake tools. The ship lifted off with a bang and it wasn’t long before they were coming up along the bottom of the massive ship. Slowly the bottom of the ship opened wide and they were set down, inside the belly of the beast, once unloaded the pilot left. The three disguised warriors made their way to the leaking coolant manifold. All except Riku quickly accessed the computer main frame and mapped out the floor plan of the ship. The three begun to hatch a new plan it seems that the coolant lines ran by the dock that held their prize a box of Materias. The tear was no ordinary ship, with some of the greatest stealth technology in the area. The three unlikely thieves made their way down the long metal hallway to the private deck but where stopped half way down by a security officer, who stepped out of a booth in the wall. “Hold it right there are you three lost or something?” the large hairy guy said with a snort. Riku stepped forward tugging at his oversized pants and laid on a thick accent, he strutted up to the large pig like guard. “Sir, I don’t suppose you’re aware but there is a pipe that runs into the docking station at the end of this hall. And if we don’t get the clog in that pipe fixed, the entire ship could lose power.” Said Riku. The strictly guard begun to strummer and quickly waddled to the end on the hall quickly unlocking the bay door, once all four of them where inside they quickly knocked the guard out and pushed him into a closet. The next hour was spent disabling the security around the tear but, after that they got in the small stealth ship they begun to fire it up. Riku made a not so funny joke. “Does either of you know how to fly this thing?” the Clone said punching random buttons. Suddenly the ship lurched to life and the Clone stepped away from the controls replaced by the master Cronal. “Out of my way you simple Clone.” Said the aging master as he quickly brought the machine under his control. It was only a manner of time before the super ship landed safely in the forest. Meanwhile the victim of their rather clever crime , was discovering he had been had. Rous Wormkiller arose from his slumber around 2 pm standard time, just in time to make his way down the stairs and into his personal docking bay only to find the scorch marks left by its speedy escape. Immediately alarms where sounded and the war ship came to life, unfortunately for the captain his ship was long gone. Although it was quickly found out there was little chance, of catching the Bandits who had stole his Materias, he had no intention of letting them get away. While it was true he was one of the lower ranked captains in the entirety of fleet he was no common merchant. He quickly had his entire ship focused on this single selfish endeavor. It was only a matter of time till the crew of fifty one men and women, found a clue and begun the process of tracking down the flighty bandits. He already tried to trace there voyage twice with only partial results he was now only sure of the fact that the perpetrators where in the nearby vicinity but he had no idea who was responsible or where they were. Secretly he though one of his own crew had been playing a trick but seeing how all where present and accounted for and it was not on the ship, he had to turn his anger outward to the cold reaches of space. Mean while our heroes the Master Cronal the acolyte Gar and the swordsman Riku, landed. The three warriors where safe in there bunker with their prize while unbeknownst to them someone was scanning the docks looking for the ship which they had stolen. Above the warrior’s heads scout ships where sailing around the waters searching for something they where unlikely to find. The systems communication lines where filled with various reports and call signs. While over all the mission was a success the swordsman, Riku felt differently they had been discovered they would be sought out and this very well might be a problem. It was then the warrior Riku remembered a proverb his father rather liked, “There are two ways to see a blade on one side the blade is dangerous but properly guided a blade can save many of lives.” And with that his fathers voice faded away.
