Pending Abilities Pending Techniques Pending Limit Breaks --- Approved Abilities Fins Description: By a few minor physical alterations you can move just like a fish. Although it does take a full turn to grow them. Requirements: Cross Fade, 40 agility. Effect: Increases agility, and speed when Swimming by 20% Cost: none Approved Techniques Cross Fade Desc: This technique gives Brandy more control over her shape shifting powers. With Crossfade Brandy can change her appearance at will calling only on certain aspects of a sampled form, or just change things by force of will. Req: Shape Shift, 40 spirit, 30 agility Effect: Can choose to change all or just a part of her body with shape shift. Cost: 0 Flying is Hard (0/3) Desc: Just because your body knows how to fly doesn't mean you can make it. In order to be able to fly in a stolen body Brandy must first spend quite some time learning how to fly. Req: Shape Shift, Sampled a flying creature, 20 agility Effect: Can become "Flight of the Moogle" if all requirements are met. Cost: 0 Flight of the Moogle Desc: Through much pain and effort, and just a bit of mutation, you have learned how to give gravity the finger. However unlike the races you stole this from it is quite a bit harder for you. You can fly, but oing so requires your full attention. You could never say, fight and fly at the same time. Req: Cross Fade, 40 agility, can only be learned through "Flying is Hard" Effect: allows the user to grow wings and fly. Cost: 0 Oxygen is Overrated (0/3) Desc: Having gills is not always enough to breath underwater. It is a completely different process from what your used to. Req: Shape Shift, Sampled an aquatic creature, 20 endurance Effect: Can become "Like a Fish" if all requirements are met. Cost: 0 Like a Fish Desc: Through much pain and effort, and just a bit of mutation, you have learned how to breath underwater. Req: Cross Fade, 40 endurance, can only be learned through "Oxygen is Overrated" Effect: Allows the user to grow gills and breath underwater. Cost: 0 Point Blank Description: By obtaining a certain level in both magic and martial arts people can learn to add magic to many attacks as second nature. This does however require the materia to be equipped on or in the users arms, so as to limit the distance the magic must travel. Requirement: Fist of the monk, 40 Hand to hand, 40 magic. Effect: If the user has a magic materia equipped in armor on the hands or arms, or through the monk's magic ability they may cast that materia's spell during a punch. If the punch misses so does the spell. cost: that of the spell. Ancient Outfit Desc: Through the use of the ancient illusion skill Brandy can now wear an illusion over her body in place of clothes. The simplicity and acceptability of the illusion have made it quite powerful as well. Req: Ancient Illusion, Magic 20 Effect: Uses an Illusion to appear as if she is wearing whatever her heart desires. Characters with spirit more than double her magic can see through the illusion. Thats right by popular demand ive started working on Brandy, and might actually finish Remi now. First things first however, and I need a few failed experiment traits. Shapeshift Desc: When the first experiments in recreating Jenova showed some... side effects it was decided to try and recreate only ability to take in aspects of creatures. When Brandy makes direct contact with an animal she can absorb some of their genetic material. When this happens the animal feels as though they have been pricked by a needle n the very spot she touched. After she has sampled an animal she can take violently change her body to resemble what she has sampled. This change is purely limited to her body, and will not effect her clothing, or equipment. When in a non human form brandy will inherit any physical limitation of the creature she is copied(i.e. no thumbs for you, or tiny limbs). Req: Failed Experiment Effect: Allows the user to change into the form of any non-monster animal she has sampled. Cost: 0 Overbearing Will Desc: An unforeseen side effect of manifesting only half of Jenova's powers was the effect those with all of them would have on her. Just as Sephiroth came to control the weakened Jenova, him and his clones seam to hold sway over the emotions of this experiment. Though it is difficult. Req: Failed Experiment Effect: When Brandy comes into contact with a Sephiroth Clone a direct comparison between spirit is made. If the numbers are within 5 points of each other Brandy can resist a command, but doing so requires her full attention. If Brandy's is higher by 5 or more than she can resist normally, and if the Clone is higher by five she must obey what they tell her. Cost: 0 |

Feel free to make a trait that allows her to send images to peoples mind without a downside. JENOVA can basically give people visions. The controlling her downside far outweighs the shape-shift. So you can have an extra Benefit trait if you wish. XD |

Ancient Illusion Desc: One of the pleasant, but unforeseen surprises in when creating Brandy was an ability to cause people to have visions. This ability has two major drawbacks proximity, and accuracy. In order to start the vision Brandy must first make physical, or eye contact with the victim, and many will know flat out that it is an illusion. Even if Brandy made an illusion look exactly the same as the area they were both in originally a smart victim would know something was wrong. The slight changes made by her own perception overlapping his would give it away. The illusion can be anything, but is limited to that, an illusion. Req: Failed Experiment Effect: Causes the opponent to enter an illusion. This illusion has a power of Magic, and can be escaped early by resisting with the spirit stat. In order to realize its an illusion the victim needs 3/4 its power in Intelligence(1/4 if its obviously so). N matter how long it seams the illusion only lasts one real world turn. New limit break Name: Shining Finger [Limit Break Level 1] Description: "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you! Shining Finger!" When Brandy invokes this power she channels her magical energies into her right hand. It begins to glow a multi spectrum light, and holds a lot more power. Requirements: Limit Break Level 1 Access Effect: Adds Magic damage to all hand to hand attacks by the right hand, but cancels out the effects of any hand to hand boosting armor. Cost: 10 per turn. I don't know if this is too powerful for level 1 or not. Limit Breaks aren't meant to have a cost. They're a quick spurt of power you get that lasts for a short while that pushes you beyond your Limit. So it would have no cost but only last for a few posts. |

Problem is that my level 1 limit break was only given 1/3 of the Magic stat as a boost, and that's a one-shot as well. To put it this way, the best armor can only boost hand-to-hand damage by 44, meaning that at 100 Magic, Brandy gets a net bonus of 56. If Magic and Strength are kept equal, then that's a 56% bonus, putting it closer to Level 2 territory. Edited by KurisuMurei, Mar 11 2009, 08:19 AM.

Magic/2 + Strength in Damage = Stat*1.5 You have 3/4 approved of this move so far, Bard :D Chris: Otherwise, I think your move is underpowered ._. Okay this will sound unbalanced, but all it does is let me change her clothes when she shape shifts. Very usefull when coming out of lets say a moogle or leonine form. Martial arts tech Kick, Punch, it's all in the mind... Desc: Who says you can only do crazy moves with your hands. With this technique any move that requires a punch can now be done with your feet. Req: Hand to Hand 40 Effect: Allows punch skills to become kicks. Cost: Same as before tech. |
