There is no sense behind this trait. Why is it like that? It seems more like a character issue than a trait to be governed by his father or other people. Not something that happens naturally because of his race.

its probably not explained well I did type it up at midnight while half asleep. I only did so becuase I could not sleep until I had finished the traits. The reason for the mind swap thing is he is infused with the memetic lagacy of several of the wrlds worst killers. These men are all long since dead but their knowldge and DNA when imprinted on Andy formed a second mind within him directly cuased by the experimentation. The keeper business is mostly due to the fact the character is only 6 years old and is under constanct super vision. that probably still did not explain it very well.

I understand what you are saying, it's the fact that his situation in life isn't a trait. A trait is something that comes with being a part of that race, not the persons life style. A trait never goes away and you never gain new traits.

That supervision he's under may not always been there because his life style changed. How would the Trait be explained then?

ah actually the supervision is not really part of the trait its something I tacked on so he could use stores and travel otherwise he is screwed there not that he is allowed to travel much as it is unless someone was to obduct him from the labs in Shin-Ra headqaurters or something. I still may not explain it well basically the trait is the dual minds and the lack of memory and the nagatives really the keeper business is mostly flavor added in he will rarely even have a keeper outside the labs. Hmm maybe I should jsut edit it up a bit clean it up and what not.

The one thing I noticed is that their is only ONE Negative as opposed to the four positives. That and the negative isn't actually a negative from where I'm standing. The skills are ok but you need ALOT more negatives or one REALLY big Negative.

That is basically 100% accuracy for projectile weapons without having to raise a skill. It also guarantees not having to purchase new projectiles because it eliminates the possibility of losing any. Someone better say no to this one.

Dance while it looks like a way for him to hit everything and always get his blade back its not. someone with an agility greater then his attack speed could dodge easy. if it gets stuck in a tree, wall, animal, Moogle, and or person it is stuck and won't come back. Also he can't move so if the person dodges and he takes control of the blade he is wide open to attack. Besides as far as never losing the projectile a thrown non concumable weapon would still be in the inventory after the thread. Unless I am remembering wrong a broken weapon/armor restores itself after battle as well.

Blood of the butcher
Description: Toby hears voices that scared him at first. These voices are the direct result of the contamination that occurred during the experiment. These voices whisper in his head dark things and give him dreadful nightmares. As a result of the nightmares he has a wide eyed stare and wears dark shades. While the contamination gave him voices it also twisted his spirit and damaged his body. He developed a painful spasm in his right leg. As his Blood was infused with seven of the worlds worst killers their memetic signature was imprinted on his mind he can’t help but kill. To make matters worse two of the killers were cannibals and their memory of the flavor of human flesh haunts Toby.
Requirements: Be Toby
Effect: Hears voices that often encourage him to kill or maim people often for no reason other then they are there. Toby is unable to sleep due to these voices and the nightmares they inflict upon him. As such he is immune to the sleep status aliment. His spasm affects his ability to move and reduces his speed by 10.
Cost: None

Strength of Madness
Description: Because of the killers whispering in his mind Toby is always on high alert. Due to the lack of sleep he is capable of rapid and forceful action he would not have available were he well rested and sane.
Requirements: Be Toby
Effect: Strength: +15 Agility: +15
Cost: None

Heart of Darkness
Description: Toby due to the voices in his head has a hard time telling right from wrong. As the brutal training regimen and sadistic lessons only reinforce his twisted behavior he will never be a good boy. As failure was punished harshly he would do what ever it took to keep his father happy even when that meant murder. As such he has no concept of good actions or evil actions only what he must do next. Due to the dark nature of his heart he is unable to use or be the target of restorative materia.
Requirements: Be Toby
Effect: Toby can never have an alignment above 50% he also can’t use or be the target of restorative materia.
Cost: None

Blood of the Butcher: So...Immunity to Sleep, but a corresponding reduction in Speed. Okay. Is that a constant reduction, as if he was constantly carrying 10 Weight on him, or is it only when fighting away Sleep?

Strength of Madness: Sure. Approved as a Trait.

Heart of Darkness: Alignment cannot be above 50%, but can it be equal to 50%, or only 0-49%? Also, you say that restorative Materia will not work for/on him. Is this only Restore, or the Heal Materia as well? Esuna, etc.

Sling Blade: You need to include the "can't move" into the description. Also this only applies to bladed weapons, according to the description. Guns, clubs, baseball bats, hammers, etc...won't work with them. This seems more like an Ability than a Trait though. I won't approve it as anything other than an Ability.

Eyes of Madness: Cheap ass Sharingan ripoff, but whatever. Add in that Blind status lasts twice as long for him when afflicted and I'll approve it.

I'm sorry, but none of these are actually traits. Traits are things that come with being a part of a race. All of these are Abilities that could happen to anyone.

A Trait is something that can't go away or can't be learned. You can neutralize a trait, but the initial trait would still be there. It's like the no items or weapons requiring thumbs for the Leonine. That is a trait they can't get rid of.

A voice inside of someone's head isn't a trait.

Voice from the Dust
Description: Toby ever since he was born could here a whispering sound. He is able to hear the voice of the Earth itself speaking from the life stream. Some voices are just of random people that have died and journey to be reborn. The other voices are confusing to him some are light and friendly yet ever present. One voice is dark and snarls venomous things to his mind. He gained this unique trait when he was clone from the DNA of those claimed to be of the Cetra.
Requirements: Be Toby
Effect: Is able to hear the voice of the lifestream.
Cost: none


Haunted steps
Description: Toby is constantly being taken places and forced to endure experiments. When he is not in his designated areas his every move is shadowed by pursuers from Shin-Ra. While they are not to harm him being taken by armed men to a place of pain and fear is far from friendly as well.
Requirements: be Toby
Effect: Any Shin-Ra agent of soldier second class to Turk can freely step in any thread he is in if they are in the same area.
Cost: none


Wisdom of the ages
Description: Toby has gained knowledge and wisdom from learning lessons both from his Shin-Ra watchers and the voices of the past.
Requirements: Be Toby
Effect: +15 to int and +15 to magic
Cost: none

Legacy of dark Shadows
Description: Toby’s half brother is famed both as an elite soldier and the worst mass murderer in modern time. Due to this Toby is often treated like he is not better then his half brother. Toby for his own part has never met this brother but must endure ridicule and torment for his brother’s deeds. It is obvious that many of those that observe him wait for evidence he is truly similar to terminate the project and him.
Requirements: be Toby
Effect: Toby is treated the same as a Sephiroth clone by Shin-Ra employees. Should his Alignment fall below 40% Turks and Soldiers first class will receive a kill order.
Cost: none

I did grant permission for him to have altered cells of the Cetra to be used in creating an FE. He isn't an actual Cetra, thus can't do the great things they can, but can imitate or experience some of them.
