Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
This was the day, the day where Chris would start his journey. After a quick check on his inventory, Chris nodded, then said, "Okay, let's see where I can go." before packing up everything he could use and heading out. Chris considered locking up behind him, then said, "Hmm...not much of value remains. Perhaps the desk, bed, and punching bag, but that's about it. Ah, better to play it safe here." Chris got out his key and locked the door. Chris then put a note that said, "Travelling" on it. Chris then made his way out.

Somewhere along the way, he was met by someone who had a relatively major request, at least in comparison to the rest that he's taken on. The man had something that he needed delivered to a city named Junon. Chris wasn't sure where that was exactly, as he hadn't gone much more than twenty miles away from Midgar in his life. After the man gave some brief directions, Chris had a general idea of where to go. "Thank you, sir." Chris said as he left to make the delivery.

The trip was long, but not very trecherous. The occasional small group of monsters was reasonably easy to fend off. However, it was several days just for the first leg of the journey, partially because he had to backtrack at the swamp because in an effort to take the shortest path needed, he forgot a rather important point: He really didn't have what it took to avoid a fatal run-in with the giant snake that resided in the swamp. "Now...if my memory serves me right, he said there was a 'Chocobo Farm' a bit east of here. By the sound of it, it'll probably provide me a way to pass these snakes."

After maybe a few hours travelling, he had found the place. Chris was greeted by one of the workers there, who told him a few things about the Chocobos, and then offered a to rent one out for a small fee. Chris told the man that he had no experience with Chocobos and needed a little bit of training on riding one. This took another hour, after which Chris felt comfortable enough to go out to the swamp on one. Chris then paid the rental fee, along with some extra money, and headed out.

Not much more than ten steps into the swamp, came trouble. The snake had sensed his arrival and started giving chase. Chris now had to split his focus on avoiding obstacles in front of him, and keeping the Midgar Zolom from catching up to him from behind. Chris faced forward so that he could guide his mount away from obstacles until he got a clear area to try to fire off a spell at the serpent to knock it back. Chris's first shot was Fire. Although it hit, it didn't seem to slow down the snake at all. "Tch...that didn't work at all." Chris said as he returned his focus on what was ahead.

The next opening, Chris tried a different element. He chose to fire off a Water attack this time around. The impact seemed to give him a couple of much needed inches of space between him and the serpent. "Probably fire-resistant, at the very least." Chris said. "Still, I probably won't have enough power to do any significant damage, and forget trying to get in close. That's just suicide." Chris kept going, checking to see if the Midgar Zolom was catching up to him. Surprisingly, it was not. The Chocobo was able to outpace the snake all the way through the swamp.

Now at the other end of the swamp, Chris found himself at a cave. The entryway wasn't big enough to fit both him and the Chocobo. "Well, I guess that's the end of the ride." Chris said as he dismounted. After Chris confirmed that he still had everything, the Chocobo quickly returned towards the farm, at which was now the other side of the swamp. Chris, in the meanwhile, went through the cavern. The cave had a few monsters in there as well, but nothing that Chris couldn't either fend off or get away from.

Now out of the other side of the cavern, the journey went relatively smoothly, in the sense that his rate of encountering any sort of monster was relatively low. The terrain was relatively rough, though. After a couple of days of travel westward, he saw a city come up ahead. "I think...I'm there." Chris said. Indeed, he was close to Junon. He was finally there.

After a bit of searching and questioning, Chris eventually found who the delivery was for. The recipient was surprised that the delivery even made it at all, and paid Chris quite well for the work. Afterwards, Chris decided to walk around the city to find whatever points of interest were there. "Hmm...perhaps I could find a few other travellers to interact with around here." Chris said to himself. After all, this was a new area, and there was certainly more to the world than Midgar.
