Rose Of May
Appearance: A Rose of May seems to look like any other human being, but that is only at first. They tend to have an aura of extreme calm that anyone around them can clearly feel. This calm aura isn't something that is just there to make them more mysterious...its there to help them survive. For the second this calm is shattered they transform into vicious and horrific looking monsters, twisted versions of their souls showing what they truly are on the inside.

Personality: A Rose of May is stereotypically calm, as mentioned before this is more than just an aesthetic feature about them, this is a survival mechanism. Once this calm is broken, Roses of May tend to go beserk, fufilling their greatest lusts and desires hidden deep within their hearts.

Background: A rose of may is created when a violent crime is committed, and the victim shows compassion towards their assailant. The Assailant is driven mad by the compassion and becomes a true beast until the victim fuses with the assailant, becoming one being, a balance between hatred and compassion.

Traits:


Calm
Description: An eerie calm is produced by a Rose of May, individuals within ten feet of a Rose of May can clearly feel it. If a Rose of May gets angry or is overcome by a strong negative emotion, this trait is negated. Additionally if the Rose of May receives damage greater than their spirit stat there is a 1/3 chance that they will lose their Calm.
Requirements: Be a Rose of May
Effect: Immunity to Berserk
Cost: None

The Lust
Description: Deep inside of the Rose of May is the proverbial thorn to the rose. Here in lies a deep evil that can never be satisfied and must be constantly fought against.
Requirements: Be a Rose of May
Effect: Gives the Berserk Status, Limit break gauge is set to zero. This trait is negated as long as Calm is in affect.
Cost: None

True Form
Description: The True form of a Rose of May resembles the crime that they committed and is as twisted and evil looking. A Rose of May does not necessarily have to fully transform, but can partially transform their bodies, for a Rose of May's true form is a mutating weapon. They can grow weapons and appendages out of their body to attack at will.
Requirements: Be a Rose of May
Effect: Can form weapons out of their body that do Spirit/3 damage.
Cost: None

The effect should be something like "Can form weapons out of their body. Each weapon has Spirit/3 in Strength and Durability"

also, how many weapons can you create at once, what it's going to cost you to make them (time wise or MP/HP wise), etc. needs to be answered

I don't see why you'd want to use up a whole trait for "Calm" since there's an ability that does the exact same thing... (1/4 approved though)

And for lust, you'd be resetting your LB gauge to 0 every time you went berserk under that trait. (1/4 approved) I think this is borderline pointless because when you're really mad is probably the best time to use a LB :P

Getting too old for this shit.
Techniques are based off abilities, materia, traits, and some items.

Temporal Standstill has my +1/4

+1/4 to FlashFreeze as well

Careful Spending should be an ability not a technique.

Air Shot should have an Aero Materia requirement and an MP cost. On the plus side, you can increase the damage of the bullet based on the spell used and have it cause wind element damage.

Temporal Standstill is one of those techs.. I believe Kenny is on a crusade against, but, make it an ability and I'll 1/2 it. Takeru has techs that do the same thing, but we're probably going to change those.

No, they don't have to have similar stats. The way CoC works, everyone advances at their own pace, if they needed similar stats it would make Life pretty difficult I imagined, More so than it needs to be.

All negative status effects are cured, and their limit break meter is combined. HP and MP also increase due to the stat addition as well, but only the addition, not the added multiplication. HP + and MP +, however, do factor in after the addition. All armor, weapons, Materia in weapon/armor slots, abilities, techniques, accessories, and limit breaks are accessible in this form. Their fused forms are able to use both of their weapons. The length of time that this technique and form lasts is equal to the number of duel-techs that Nex and Lini know together for each of them. (For example, with the 5 duel-tech requirement and a 3 person thread, it would be: Bowwy, person x, Bones, person x, Bowwy, person x...etc, until a total of 5 posts have been done in fused form. For sagas and epics, control switches after every leader post) All duel-techs that are known by the fused parties are able to be done singularly. If their fused body is K.O'd, then the fusion splits and leaves Nex and Lini each with 1 HP and 0 MP. If the fusion runs out of time/posts, then Nex and Lini will have the the remaining HP and MP of their fused mode split between them. This technique can only be used once per thread.
Cost: 20 MP per post



This took two weeks to finally make everything work to the point of approval. So, make it closer to something like this.

A lot of text to say pretty much the same thing I did with half the posts. Just to clarify: Are you expecting me to write out every contingency like you did? Or do you mean the way you combine stats and determined length of fusion?

I'm looking for a Fusion technique that is more plausible.

How long does Fusion-HA last? Perhaps a formula of fusion lasts a certain amount of posts according to the fused spirit stat or something.

I think Flash Freeze needs a limit of how much MP could be used to increase accuracy.

@ Galileo, it wouldn't be very logical to have one person allowed to act twice in battle would it? Not just that for the fairness factor, but it also would be counter productive for a fusion form to not be united. And if all other reasons fail, if you're using this technique with someone you probably decided to.
