Sometimes Day 1 – Shit Happens Just sometimes…. Time calls for something radical. It calls for something inexplicable yet quite capable depending on the user of the said feat. Armand Dagastonovich, just reach a time in his life where he realized much. Finding out what SHIN-RA is really about had taken him for a toll, whether he admitted it or not. The thoughts of people being nothing but pawns was something he was used to, in fact he was a pawn and he was alright with that but, the idea of someone’s life being nothing but a large gamble for testing was something in another ballpark. As the SOLDIER lay in his bed shirtless, Armand looked up at the sealing a she had a lot on his mind. It was 1am in the morning and he could not fall asleep. The day he just experienced left him with too much pressure. Besides the strenuous missions he rigorously had to endure, he had to test a would-be boy as a proctor. It was an inspiring attempt the boy named Edgar made but it felt mediocre at best to Dagast. They wanted him to test a boy he could kill rather quickly. The next process was one that was quirky to the Second Class but the end result was promising. His admittance into the new rank had allowed him access to a training room that simulated any scenario that the user desired. It could stimulate the mind in ways that made your body feel as If you really lived it. Any injuries taken in the training of the mind your body would actually show the affects of it. Sitting up from his bed, he placed his hand over his chest where a bandage was seen and felt. He started to peel it off as he grunted a bit. The material used for it to stay in placed was thick and stuck to his skin quite tightly causing a bit of pain as it was torn off. The bullet wound that was there quickly disappeared. He stood up and threw the bandage in a trash can he walked by. Stopping at his closet he looked over his face. His eyes had deep bags under them as he rubbed his eyes trying to clear them up. He moved his right hand through his hair as each finger tip let a few strands of hair trickle out of the air. After a few minutes he finished dressing himself in his civilian clothes. He wore a red and black jacket that had designs on it. For slacks he wore a pair of baggy Jeans that were a dark grey color along with wrist bands that went up the entire forearms of the young SOLDIER. Heading out of his casa, Dagast found himself walking the early streets of seventh sector. His hands in his pockets he looked as there was not many people out. ‘This day… Can’t sleep youngster?’ A voice appeared from nowhere as a small man with a cane appeared from behind him. Dagast jumped at the appearance of the man. There were no steps, no sounds or breaths he heard that could point to another 5there but yet this man snuck up on him. ‘I didn’t mean to startle you… I was just out and about in my morning routine but I never have seen a soul out here before this day.’ Dagast turned back around and continued to walk on. ‘Nothing else youngling? You could at least walk and talk with me. Your out here in the wee morning mostly cause you can’t sleep so you might as well… the company will do you good.’ ‘Alright. Come on senior….’ Dagast motions as they walk and talk about for five minutes. ‘Alright this is my place. I will see you whenever. And good luck in life youngster. Strive to stick out even if you don’t…’ Dagast waved off and looked down to see his laces undone. He knelt to tie his shoe as he heard a yell along with a large gunshot. His eyes bulged as he looked back to the house and due to the proximity of the sound, it probably was the old man’s house that the gunshot was fired inside of. Running up to the door, Dagast placed his ear near it as he heard glass being broken and the loud breathing of someone. AT that time he got a text message, it rang with a tone that was familiar with SHIN-RA to him. He checked it quickly knowing it was an order from SHIN-RA. They knew he was closest to the disturbance and wanted him to check it out since all other operatives were sleep. He pocketed his phone and broke done the door by way of a shoulder rush. After breaking in he saw a few drops of blood as he spoke aloud for the man. After no sign of anything he charged a little energy into his hand to ignite a small flame so he could have some light in the darkness. Continuing in the townhouse of the old geezer, Dagast followed smell of blood until he stepped into a larger pool of blood. Not too far away was a limp body.,.. it was the old mans. Looking down and examining him it was in fact the man he just talked to. He took out his cell phone and recorded the scene digitally and took a few pictures. In the midst of his examination he found that glass was being broken or some noise was being made. [Could the assailant still be here?] Dagast thought to himself as he snuffed the flame by balling his hand. Walking towards a new room he heard the cracks more as he saw a cloaked figure. It was sleek and a bit smaller than his own with tight gear on. Its physique looked feminine Taking out his blade slowly, Dagast prepared himself for an encounter and would subdue this culprit, or so he thought. The female heard the metal clanging while it came out and when Dagast went to strike with a stroke of his blade, the female cart wheeled to the side, kicking his blade up and landing adjacent to him glaring him down. She got up as Dagast went up for another strike but was evaded again, while being his in the gut by the small but incredibly fast and strong female. He gathered physical information about her noticing her fingers were of a creamy caramel complexion noting she was African-American like himself. Reeling backwards a bit, the female ran towards the window but Dagast caught a glimpse of her eyes and her hair. She had maroon hair with golden eyes, a rare commodity indeed. Diving out of the window she went to grab onto a nearby ladder and climb her way up towards a roof. Gathering his britches together he sheathed his sword and went for the same ladder outside the window. He pulled himself up a bit quicker as he had worked on an exercise specifically for this, pull-ups. Reaching the top of the ladder he noticed the female was darting up the fire escape ladder well that was on the outside of the adjacent building. He began to follow her as they reached the roof. Making the last hurdle to the roof he tried to reach her feet as she jumped higher and flipped evading his grasp. ‘Dammit. Stop running…!’ Dagast yelled out as many people were looking out there windows seeing two silhouettes on top of the building. |

Cloud's broke overhead as what looked like a plane rushed through them. From the ground, it looked like this craft was really far away due to how small it was. Yet, in a way, it seemed like it was closer to the ground than one would think. In truth, this craft was nothing more than a girl and her machinery that she wore like clothing. It strapped around her torso like a shirt with wings protruding out from the back that folded inwards so she looked like a normal person, for the most part. "Dammit. Stop running…!" a voice called out from below, catching the girl's ear. She turned her attention down to Midgar, which was only about forty feet below her. If it wasn't for her hovering over Sector Seven, she would not have heard the shout. "Something is always going on in Midgar," Celest said to herself as she began to debate with herself about what she should do. "I was going to go visit mom really quick... but... this sounds really interesting," Celest said with a smile as she changed her course for down. Thankfully, it wasn't going to be anything resembling her fall near Junon. Her control over her machine has increased dramatically and she made sure to fuel it up every chance she got. She was never going to experience that again, at least... she hoped. As Celest drew closer to the source of the shouting, she saw two people running on the roofs of Sector Seven. It looked like a man in SOLDIER was chasing someone. He didn't look to be gaining any ground on the person either. SOLDIER has helped me out a lot through Zander so many times, maybe it's time I return the favor, Celest thought to herself as she slowly descended from the sky directly in front of the path that the girl Dagast was chasing was. Celest landed at least ten feet in front of the girl, giving her some room to say something to her to hopefully startle the girl and cause her to stop in her tracks. "Hold it!" Celest shouted, holding her robotic right arm out with her hand outward, much like an officer directing traffic would tell a vehicle to stop. Celest's metal wings stretched outwards to her side. There were three thin wings in all, much like wings on a plane but much smaller and thinner. Air pressure was launching out from them in hopes to create an intimidation factor. Celest wasn't one to stand out a lot to a person, so this was as bold as she could be on a moments notice. Celest glared firmly, making sure to grip her sword with her left, organic hand just in case the person Dagast was pursuing decided to act hostile towards Celest. She wasn't one prone to violence, but Celest would defend herself if she had to. Only if she had to though, she wasn't much of a fighter and she was well aware of it. The only thing she has ever fought were Zombies... and she wasn't entirely sure she had really did anything. |

‘The fuck is that?’ Dagast said as he noticed the sound of something similar to his blade. It created smog and reminded him of an airship. He looked as he saw a trail of smog come from high up and stop in front of the female who he was chasing. Standing up he saw that the female told her to stop along with holding a hand out and some blade in her hand. It was a smaller blade than the normal Dagast wielded. He tried getting up in time to warn her but he wasn’t that fast. The veiled female threw down a smoke bomb and ran into the cloud. What she actually did was fall back from behind the cloud and fall from the roof of the Building. Dagast heated his sword and rushed with a upwards wave of heat from his blade via the technique surrounding fire as the cloud was pushed back and the view was clear. Only the new female with the goofy looking wings was there. He looked to the left and to the right and saw no sight of the female. He looked for a few more minutes as he looked at the female standing there and began to gain frustration. He reached for her shirt and tried to grab a fist full of it out of anger, pulling her closer to him. ‘What the fuck is your problem? You go interrupting my work with ya dumbass wings lost me the culprit of a murder. What the fuck do you got to say for yourself eh?’ Dagast anger was flaring a bit as he didn’t know where the women went and this female seemingly caused her to fret and bring in some sort escape tool that caused a clod of smoke and used this chance to escape. ‘Dagast phone began to beep as he went to it letting the girl go and checking the text message. It was a update message about the disturbance. Dagast took a deep swallow as he knew what was going to happen next. He was going to get chewed out because he lost any leads to this female. ‘You wait right here…’ Dagast called Dispatch and after a five minute interval of a lot of him saying yes sir and no sir and right away sir, Armand hung up the phone. He turned back around towards the female and saw a strand of maroon hair on the ground. He took the strand and placed it in a compartment in his belt. ‘This will be good for analysis later on.’ Looking back at the female he noticed the female more. ‘She was quite scrawny, and had a robotic arm. This caused Dagast to raise an eyebrow. ‘The fuck is wrong with this girl.’ And she has some sort of device on her back. |

"What the fuck is your problem? You go interrupting my work with ya dumbass wings lost me the culprit of a murder. What the fuck do you got to say for yourself eh?" the man said, chewing Celest out for trying to help him. She began to blush from being embarrassed and almost ashamed of her actions. She looked up at the man with tears building up in her eyes. She had never been spoken to like that before in her life. She was shocked and a little frightened. "I..." she paused as she tried to find the words. "I was only trying to help," she finished, holding her head down, unsure as to what to say to him. "I'm sorry," Celest said, feeling that he failed his mission all because of her. "You wait right here…" Dagast said once more, ordering Celest to remain her position. She nodded, placing her hands at her side. The outstretched wings folded up around her ribs making it looks like she was wearing a metal shirt. She looked a little bit more normal now. At least, compared to how she looked previously. Dagast took to the phone for a moment, obviously being chewed out himself. Whomever his superiors were, they were not happy with him nor did they appreciate failure. But Celest wasn't aware of this. All she knew was that she was to blame for his failure and that the assassin was out roaming free to do as they pleased. Should she have done things differently? She could have just attacked the girl or simply not interfere at all. Regardless, she felt terrible for what she did. She wanted to just disappear, turn invisible or just run away. But she was told to stay here, so those weren't an option for her. Celest stood still, waiting for Dagast to say something. She was timid and shy now, sort of retreating into a mental shell. She didn't want to come out or open up anymore. Especially with the look he shot her when he saw her robotic arm. No one had reacted badly to her appearance yet, Dagast was the first. All in all, Celest thought he was a Jerk so far and didn't like him. |

Eyeing the girl suspiciously, The SOLDIER circled her quite viciously. He noticed that the wings from behind seemed to disappear. He did not know where they had went and this made him even more suspicious on the girl before him, that is to say if she still was a girl. He noticed the arm as he looked it up and down. From her perspective it could have looked like he was checking out her body and not just eyeing her to figure her out. ‘Hey sis… just tell me what the fuck you think you was doing huh? Were you thinking on playing hero? Do you realize what you’ve just done? The appearance of two on one frightened her to the point of running. When It was me, she was confident in getting away but she hadn’t accounted on my own physical ability and the fact that I’m a SOLDIER.’ He took step back and cracked his neck. The kick to his head made his neck feel a bit of pain. ‘Were you trying to show how much of a Good Samaritan you can be? This isn’t some fantasy game where the actions you do gain you some sort of skill or value ya know?’ Growling to himself before continuing. ‘You think I’m angry cause you interfered and caused her to run? I’M ACTUALLY PISSED CAUSE YOU COULD HAVE CAUSED HARM TO YOURSELF SIS. You obviously have caused some harm to yourself which is why you have that arm and whatever else it is you have wrong with your body.’ Placing his hand over his head he lets out another grunt. ‘I just got the grandest Idea girl.’ Dagast gives a smirk as he points his hand towards Celest and begins to yell even louder. ‘YOUR COMING DOWN TO HQ WITH ME. YOU WANNA PLAY HERO SO BADLY… LET’S SEE HOW WEEL YOU DO AS MY PARTNER ON THIS CASE!’ Dagast motions for her to follow him. ‘Of course you’ll be rewarded with a sum figure of gil. What do you say sis?’ |

"Hey sis… just tell me what the fuck you think you was doing huh? Were you thinking on playing hero? Do you realize what you’ve just done? The appearance of two on one frightened her to the point of running. When It was me, she was confident in getting away but she hadn’t accounted on my own physical ability and the fact that I’m a SOLDIER," Dagast scolded her, acting as if he were a superior official to a civilian who was only trying to help him. Celest cowered, almost afraid of the man. She wasn't sure why she was afraid or for what reason. But she thought she was in trouble for something. "I..." Celest was cut off. "Were you trying to show how much of a Good Samaritan you can be? This isn’t some fantasy game where the actions you do gain you some sort of skill or value ya know?" Celest opened her robotic right eye at that statement. This man stopped making sense. It began to sound like he was talking just to hear himself speak. "You think I’m angry cause you interfered and caused her to run? I’M ACTUALLY PISSED CAUSE YOU COULD HAVE CAUSED HARM TO YOURSELF SIS. You obviously have caused some harm to yourself which is why you have that arm and whatever else it is you have wrong with your body," it was at that point that Celest was pushed a little bit too far. Her robotic hand clenched tightly as she opened both of her eyes, glaring at Dagast. Her hatred for this man had grown far too great for her to contain much longer. She was about to do something drastic, she wasn't sure what as of yet. But she was ready to do something. All she knew is she wanted to see him get humiliated like she just was. "YOUR COMING DOWN TO HQ WITH ME. YOU WANNA PLAY HERO SO BADLY… LET’S SEE HOW WEEL YOU DO AS MY PARTNER ON THIS CASE!" Dagast yelled at Celest, catching her off guard. She even took a step back as she was unsure as to what he was getting at. "Of course you’ll be rewarded with a sum figure of gil. What do you say sis?" he finished, trying to make it seem like it would be worth her while. Regardless of the fact, Celest couldn't stand this man. Everything about him infuriated her to the bone. She had every right mind to tell him to fuck himself and fly off. "No," Celest said, turning her back to him as she began to walk to the side of the building. "I want nothing to do with you," Celest said once more. "You give SOLDIER a bad name... no wonder some people think of you as monsters," Celest said once more. Dagast couldn't see it, but there were tears flowing from Celest's left, organic eye. She couldn't contain her rage towards him and had to let it out. She wasn't sure what to do right now and felt terrible. She just wanted to go home... she wanted to go see Zander. He'd know what to do. |

Dagast began to think to himself. ‘Maybe I shouldn’t have yelled at her like that. In my rage and fit of being beaten by that woman I might have used to release some stress I couldn’t release from my blade. Maybe I should apologize to the female.’ From the side of his vision he saw something. He saw the female from the other side that they was chasing. She appeared on the side of the ledge where the two were standing. She noticed Dagast saw her and she quickly changed her focus onto the girl would the robotic arm. Dagast noticed this and took off at a dash. [Dammit… where the hell did she come from? Why the hell is she back?] The SOLDIER thought as he reached towards Celest and bumped her to the side. He may have used too much strength but it was necessary to move her out the way. At that time an arrow pierce his left shoulder as he slumped a bit forward and stuck his sword in the roof he stood on. Using it as a leg to stand on Dagast started to drip a little blood from his shoulder on the ground. ‘You alright sis?’ The assailant looks on as her eyes narrow on Dagast. ‘Pay more attention to your got damn surroundings. That’s exactly why feelings are the last thing you need in a situation like this!’ Dagast stands up straight and takes his Vanishing Star out from the ground. He raises it to his gut and holds the back trigger as a motor sound rev’s up. A little smoke begins to come out from his blade as it hovers around the air. He then moves his right finger towards the other trigger and as he pulls the smoke gather’s around his sword as it lights up heating up the atmosphere. He brings the blade a quarter of the way up to his chest and holds the blade counter-balanced. He eye’s the girl as he rushes forward. He sends a cross slash towards the female who evades the first swing. Grunting Dagast doesn’t waver his attack instead he makes it seem a bit faster! Continually swinging he follows the ninja-like murderer as she evades all of his attacks except for the last one. The last strike hits her in the leg making her fall down and hit the roof. As expected she rolled out of it but the small damage had been down. ‘Just come quietly with me… It’s no use of running. All your speed means nothing. But I am curious to see all of what you can do.’ Dagats rushes forward and continues to battle with the female, continually using his technique round revolt to keep the female on her toes, sooner or later he would catch her when she slips up. Celest kept to herself, waiting a few moments before she decided to herself that she was going to leave. She didn't want to be humiliated anymore, she wasn't ready for the real world, not yet. That was, until a sudden push knocked her down onto her side. Thankfully, it was her right side, which was pretty much stronger than the ground was at the moment. The sound of metal hitting solid ground sounded as her robotic arm scrapped across the ground, keeping her body from getting injured. What... the hell!? Celest thought as she looked up, only to see the man known as Dagast with an arrow in his shoulder. "You alright sis?" the man said, bleeding because Celest wasn't paying attention to what was going on. "You... you're hurt.." Celest said, feeling bad not only for everything she said to him, but because of the terrible things she thought and said to that man a moment ago. "Pay more attention to your got damn surroundings. That’s exactly why feelings are the last thing you need in a situation like this!" he said, scolding Celest once again. This time, with good reason. Celest nodded as she watched the man engage the girl who had attacked them moments ago. Celest felt useless once again, but she knew she had to help somehow. There had to be something she could do. But what? What could she do? It was then that it clicked. She could do a surprise attack on the girl. But she'd have to build up for it in order for it to work. She'd be a nuisance right now, but if she could tap into that inner power of hers... she'd be able to end it with one move. "I know what to do," Celest said as she stood up, spreading the metal wings and took flight towards the assailant. Celest, not saying a word grabbed at her Chokuto with her robotic hand, flying towards the ninja girl at full force while focusing on her inner strength to hopefully bring out her hidden powers. She had gotten good at tapping into them, but she noticed that her body reacts to a need more than her desire. If she put herself in a situation where she needed, then it would be that much quicker. "Fool," the ninja girl stated as she saw Celest flying at her in the corner of her eye. She had to make a split second decision on what to do. "Whirlwind Slash," she muttered as she span around with her weapons causing a gust of wind to burst around her. The wind was not really damaging, but was powerful enough to send Celest flying back and send Dagast back a little bit. He weighed a bit more than Celest and had a lot more on him keeping him from getting a lot of lift. But, his skin would get cut up a bit from small rocks picked up by the wind. Nothing serious. "Your end..." the ninja girl muttered as she leapt into the air, over Dagast and landed behind him, ready to strike at him with her right hand. Her hand was glowing blue and had all it's finger's extended as if she were going to stab Dagast with her hand. |

Dagast coughed up a bit of spit and sent it towards the deck. He stood up straight as he watched the girl fly forward towards the assailant. It was then that he felt a surge of pain go through his chest. He opened his eyes and began to feel nothing. It seemed he wasn’t in pain…no. He was in pain but he could deal with it. He saw the blood and raised his sword seeing a gust of win come towards him. Squinting his eyes he had one open as the wind came from nowhere it seemed. He noticed that the gust was powerful enough to lift someone like him in the air. Small rocks and debris cut his arms and he winced because of it but it became less apparent to him that damage was befalling him. A few words were said as he felt the presence of another. He raised his blade and clicked both triggers. He turned to see blue glow and met it with his own force. The female assailant performed some technique that enriched her hand in some cast of aura and was launched at the SOLDIER. Meeting the attack with the superheated blade, Dagast also sent a wall of fire from his blade to meet it. The fire was completely dismissed as it turned into smoke and began to float away. However it did not break through the super heated Vanishing Star. Dagast held the blade with two hands as the female and he connected with opposing forces. He gritted his teeth as he grew a couple of veins over his arms and his forehead. He began to yell as he slowly began to rise up the blade like a rocket breaking through the atmosphere of a planet. His yell continued as the blade scraped the grown and backed the girl off of him. He held his blade counter to his chest as the girl landed on her own feet. He placed his hand forward as he shoot a blast of fire from it. His anticipation was that the girl would dodge the magic attack. Raising his blade straight forward he waited for the girl to raise in the air as he fired two shots from his gun. His plan worked as the bullets entered into her left arm. She landed on the ground and held her arm. He had an opportunity to subdue her but he was worried about the other girl. His mission was to checkout the disturbance but the health of another mattered to him at this moment. He didn’t want a death on his hands that he didn’t mean to cause. Nothing is worse than an accidental death, for someone would truly miss her. He turned and looked for the girl. He noticed her lying on the ground. He dragged his sword and started his way to her. The girl from behind him took off towards another direction. She was wounded and needed to be helped. It was then she finally made her escape from the scene, permanently. Kneeling near the girl and placing his blade on the ground, Dagast placed his hands on her shoulders and shook the female a little bit. ‘Hey girl… are you okay?’ |

Celest shook her head back in forth as she picked herself up from the ground. Her wings began to spread as she lifted herself up into the air before taking off. She was tired of this and didn't want to help that man anymore. He hurt her feelings and now he was getting her hurt physically. She was done here. "Good Bye," she said before taking off out of Sector 7. A trail of smoke followed her as she took off, not to be seen by that man for a long time. Well, so Celest hoped. |
