Pending Abilities: Ansatsuken Style (Killer Fist): Level 1 Description: A style that adopts the most violent moves from four different martial arts. One must master this style before achieving the Satsui no Hadou (Surge of Murderous Intent). Knowing and have practiced this style will grant the user the power to power up their techniques and special techniques and also opens up a lot of other techniques. Just knowing the style will give the user access to basic special moves (Shoryuken, Tornado Kick, Hadouken) and as well as other simple but quick combos. Requirements: Lv. 1: Fist of the Monk ability, 20 Endurance, 20 Speed Effect: Damage from Hand to Hand Combat increased by 30% so long as no weapon is equipped at the start of battle (Gauntlets and gloves are an acception). This technique cannot be stacked. Cost: None Ansatsuken Style (Killer Fist): Level 2 Description: Only a user who has studied and practiced this style will be granted knowledge to use the three techniques: Shoryuken, Tornado Kick and Hadouken. This technique cannot be stacked. Cost: None Satsui no Hadou (Surge of Murderous Intent) Description: The Satsui no Hadou is a "side effect" of practicing the Killer Fist art. It taunts the user with tremendous power in trade for their humanity and to be consumed by the killing intent inside of them. It can slowly corrupt the user bit by bit if their will isn't strong enough, once consumed by the Satsui no Hadou the user cannot go back to being good. The effect of this is like 2 abilities. one ability gives the user +15% to unarmed strike and gives the appearance of an aura. the other allows the user to control the aura to do as you please for different tasks depending on techniques. make sense? that is assuming you want to focus on the aura (I say this looking at your avie) i would suggest just for you make a failed experiment (look in races for more details, they are basically a "create your own race") where you are an Auramancer (someone who controls different auras like a paladin in WoW or a Dragon Shaman in DnD 3.5 where you can make this aura protect you, heal you, deal damage, whatever your heart desires so long as you know the proper technique) imo if you want a wide range of abilities that involve multiple auras the best way to do so is a failed experiment. if that is not what you want though then you are on the right track but you may have to split it into 2 abilities. EDIT: I didn't notice before posting this that your character is a SOLDIER. you can not be a SOLDIER as a failed experiment. wanted to make that clear. if you are gong ho about being in SOLDIER then ignore my failed experiment suggestion. Alright, I'll split it into two abilities. I'll add the Aura manipulation later on as my character evolves. EDIT: So, can we come to an agreement on what the % increase for melee damage will be? Cause I'm still not sure, maybe 30%? Edited by ShunGokuSatsu, Apr 15 2009, 07:12 PM.

ok getting warmer. now take a look at the first post in the "Numbers Explained: Stats, Dodge, Etc." thread in the rules to determine what the requirements should be for your abilities. this will be good for when you want to approve other people's requests, so its not just me being lazy. that and you have a better idea of what you want than we do. |

Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.

Keep in mind that we have a boardwide that has 20% for just the Hand-to-Hand requirement. Maybe if you have that as a prerequisite in place of that stat, (for level 1, at least. You'll need to add higher Hand-to-hand levels for higher ability levels) we can let you have 30% bonus damage for level 1. Then maybe we can have level 2 be something like 50%, then have a level 3 at 70%, and then Satsui no Hadou as the final level, making all hand-to-hand attacks do double damage. However, each level will be prerequisites for the one above it, and will take up their own ability slot. From there, all the actual attacks can be treated as Techniques based off of the specific levels. However, this means that we'll have to add on the actual level 3, and requirements for that, and then HtH/Endurance/Speed requirements for Satsui. So, my idea is: Lv. 1: Fist of the Monk ability, 20 Endurance, 20 Speed, 30% extra damage Lv. 2: Lv. 1, 50 Hand-to-hand, 40 Endurance, 40 Speed, 50% extra damage Lv. 3: Lv. 2, 75 Hand-to-hand, 60 Endurance, 60 Speed, 70% extra damage Satsui: Lv. 3, 100 Hand-to-hand, 75 Endurance, 75 Speed, Alignment 20% or lower, 100% extra damage. Of course, this will eventually fill up all Ability slots (akin to Vincent's Pyrokinesis set) unless the rules of ability slots get changed around. Edited by KurisuMurei, Apr 20 2009, 04:29 PM.

Are the requirements ok? Should I keep increasing all of them by 10 for each level and then 70 or less for Satsui no Hadou? |

Here's what I had planned, actually: Lv. 1: Fist of the Monk ability, 20 Endurance, 20 Speed, 30% extra damage Lv. 2: Lv. 1, 50 Hand-to-hand, 40 Endurance, 40 Speed, 50% extra damage Lv. 3: Lv. 2, 75 Hand-to-hand, 60 Endurance, 60 Speed, 70% extra damage Satsui: Lv. 3, 100 Hand-to-hand, 75 Endurance, 75 Speed, Alignment 20% or lower, 100% extra damage. |
