The People's Champion

Appearance: The appearance of the Syndrome clone varies, but one thing is for sure...they have violet purple eyes that shine just as bright as their Mako-Induced brothers. Personality: Varies Background: When their SOLDIERs are heavily injured in battle, Shin-Ra relied on alternative means of restoration for their "bio-weapons." Thus the plant known Helga was found and manipulated for the virus it produced: Las Angeronas. Ironically it was named for the ability of the goddess Angerona to relieve the pain of warriors in battle. The virus produced the effect of granting unique abilities to the user, but the project was only offered to a select few since virus spread rapidly and caused the test subject to lose skills necessary to coordinate the use of machines and weapons. Not to mention it made casting Materia impossible due to the surge of their own life energy. Though a significant portion of these "restored SOLDIERs" can return to active duty. Traits: Makai: Tenma no Chikara Description: When they wish, the user can use their own magic to grant them a unique ability. Allowing their magic to take over their body causes them to get surrounded in an aura of their own. The veins around them bulge as magic seeps into the eyes in large amounts. Their irises turn as red as blood while around the pupil turns black. Their muscles seem to grow, full of magic and new-found energy. Sadly with all their magic revolving around their body, the user can not use magic for the remainder of the thread, nor while the effects of the Tenma no Chikara is activated. When this is activated, the user becomes enraged, and afterward becomes very confused. Requirements: Syndrome Clone Effect: Multiplies physical stats (strength, agility, and speed) by x1.5. In this state, the "Berserk" status ailment effects them. This last three turns. Must have at least 1/2 of maximum MP and HP to use. After the third turn, the user is effected by the "Confuse" status ailment. If the user's Intelligence > (Spirit+Magic)/2, they are not effected by the "Berserk" status ailment. Cost: 25% of remaining HP and all of remaining MP. Las Angeronas Virus Description: Stated in the Background. The virus makes using anything outside the body that requires coordination nearly impossible. Though the lose their skills and other traits, they are allowed to keep one trait from their previous Mako-Induced status. Requirements: Syndrome Clone Effect: Machines, Weapons, and Casting Skills are nulled. And can no longer be used. Skill/stat points in that area are redistributed to Hand to Hand or physical stats. Allows one trait of Mako-Induced Race to be kept. Cost: None Magical Mischievousness Description: The LifeStream is generous and Angerona’s touch soothes your agony. Because of the deeper connection to your own Magic and the LifeStream, one receives a boost in magic, well the plant’s virus releases toxins that increase blood flow in the brain as well as increase the speed of nerve impulses in the brain stem, and thus one thinks faster. Requirements: Syndrome Clone Effect: +20 Intelligence and Magic. Cost: None Magic Charged Description: Because casting is impossible, Helga-induced individuals learned to manipulate their own magic in raw form. The color and shape of the magic is dependent on the user and is usually tied to the emotion they are portraying. Requirements: Syndrome Clone Effect: Since they can not use Materia, they instead can transform their magic into raw energy, which then can be used in multiple forms of attack. Cost: Damage is equal to the amount of MP x 2. So for example, spending 2 MP on an attack can cause 4 damage. Heart Condition Description: When Shin-Ra would learn that this failed experiment, like many others, had a extreme downfall. The Helga plant, which produced the Las Angeronas virus causes scar tissue to appear around the heart. Because of this, SOLDIERs that resort to this restoration project are urged to stay away from missions that require long-term combat. Sadly, because the virus is known to have this effect, Shin-Ra scientist remove most of these clones from active duty. Requirements: Syndrome Clone Effect: In battle, 5% of total HP is lost every 2 posts of combat. Cost: None Samurai's Grasp Description: The Angeronas virus can be overturned and one can relearn how to hold a blade. Studying the art of Kendo and several sword styles revolving around the blade while learning to manipulate a secure grip by means of their own magic has its advantages. Becoming one with the blade is easier when it is focused on and in combat gripped with both hands. After training the arts for awhile one is able to become more accurate and deadly with the blade. Requirements: 75 Intelligence, 75 Spirit, Las Angeronas Virus, Syndrome Clone Effect: Allows one to negate the effects of not being able to hold a weapon. Holding the weapon with both hands, damage from a blade weapon is increased by 25% so long as it is the only weapon used in battle, weight is halved, and accuracy is also increased by 50%. Replaces Las Angeronas Virus. Cost: None Edited by Shin Draven, Jul 17 2009, 10:14 AM.

~ This is almost fine. The weakness of totally disabling casting and reducing MP to a scrawny amount makes up for a bit. Although, this basically doubles the Dodging and Accuracy totals of a character. That's a huge strength. I just think you need something else, even if a slight weakness, like Poison is more effective and does 20% damage a post instead, or anything like that.
~ Fine. Doesn't have a weakness or strength, since all it does is redistribute things evenly and nothing (points-wise) is lost. If at most, you lose X damage from your weapon. Which is made up with super accuracy and dodging, and most likely some awesome 'monk moves.'
50 extra points worth. This is when things start becoming really uneven. The boost is fine, but on top of everything else... there doesn't seem to be a worthy weakness.
~ This is fine.
~ Acceptable, but being interesting to capture isn't a big weakness. Especially if a person has 0 on their head, being doubled means it is still 0. END NOTE: Mostly, this needs a bigger weakness to off-set the huge strengths. Edited by Kenny, Apr 15 2009, 01:36 AM.

only problem i have with it is the Magical Mischievousness's amount. 30 seems to be an acceptable amount looking at some of the other FEs, but with the power of the Metsuki no Kurushimi maybe lower it to +10 in magic and Intelligence. other than that, what kenny said. |

The "Metsuki no Kurushimi" was approved by Cloud...so :D As for the M.M (Magical Mischievousness) , I'm probably going to lower to +15 instead of +25. As for "Enemy of Shin-Ra", I'm going to add a base 500 Gil bounty, that adds every thread. So 500 becomes 550, then 600, then 650, and so on and so forth. |

I decided to make this a quest for the FE instead. What would the requirements be on this? |

Theirs are no requirements to become an FE....you just have someone turn you into one when your traits are approved. |

Samurai's Grasp replaced Las Angoras Virus right? If so Approved since that would mean you only have the 5 traits you can have with one able to replace another instead of six. |

Coordinator

Not that my say has any real effect as I am just a regular member, however, wouldn't Samurai's Grasp be more like an ability than a trait. Kind of like how Sephiroth Clone's have the Insanity trait but can learn the Resistant to Insanity ability to cancel it out? |
