Hidden Rapture or Quick Draw: An instant sword draw ability. With sword sheathed Markill being proficient in sword play is able to catapult his blade from its scabbard with extraordinary speed and power. A silhouette of this stance would depict Markill standing with his offhand gripping the scabbard of his blade while his stronger one found itself caressing the ivory handle of ‘The Rapture’, from here he could release a wide array of deadly proficient techniques. By either running or standing in place he will twist his body around, the sword is sprung from the sheath with the right hand coupled with the centrifugal force of his contorting waist and torso resulting in increased speed and power , while sending out a shock wave in the direction he’s facing. The damage his opponent receives is equal to that of his normal physical hit where as the gust the shockwave does half damage being that it is not physically a blade. Markill's skill only helps to increase the range this shockwave reaches.
Effect: Attack Speed is increased by 1.5x and melee attack deals 1x damage. Shockwave is launched at 2x Attack Speed and does 0.5x damage. The Shockwave reaches 5 yards for every 10 weapon skill user has.
Requirements: 20 Weapon Skill, 25 Agility, 25 Speed
Cost: 5 MP

Approved Techniques

Hidden Rapture style: Heavenly Departure - While having his hand on the handle of his blade Markill can generate energy throughout his body and into the scabbard of his sword. By either running or standing in place he will twist his body around, the sword is sprung from the sheath with the right hand coupled with the centrifugal force of his contorting waist and torso. The energy is then transferred to the blade this increases speed and power of impact, however unlike the 'Hidden Rapture' style this technique is derived from, melee isn't this techniques function. The true genius of this ability lies in how the energy is released form the blade. When released the energy will move through the air in the direction the blade was swung and will cause damage to anything in its immediate path making it hard to dodge completely. At this low level Markill can only manifest the energy through his scabbard which, means the only way this attack can be perform is when the blade is sheathed.

Effect: Quick and powerful slash that sends an invisible slash of energy...shockwave if you will towards the foe. As for how fast the attack is Markill’s Speed x 2. The attacking power is as followed: Shockwave- 25% + Melee- 100%= 125%. Range is determined by Weapon skill for every 10 points Markill possess in said skill the range is increased by 10 yards.

Requirements: 40 Weapon Skill, 25 Agility, and 30 Speed
Cost: 24 MP

Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
Heavenly Departure needs a cost added to it, and skill values increase faster on CoC than they did in NSL, meaning you might want to bump up the stats some.

Also the base Hidden Rapture Style needs to be put in as a seperate entry in the same format as Heavenly Departure (Which can actually be listed as a technique based on the Hidden Rapture Style ability).

Just an idea for a possible revision of both abilities

~ 10 MP is a bit too much. I'd accept 5 MP Per Use.

~ Note bolded parts. As I can tell, this does 1.5x Stat in Damage and is 3x Stat Fast. Range is negligible and cosmetic.

My thoughts are this needs to cost more. A Firaga that costs 24 MP, deals 2x Damage and is 1x Stat Fast. That's what I'm comparing this too at the moment. But honestly, who gives a crap about maths on a writing site (I'm only doing this so you know what I'm doing lol)? So I'll cut to the chase and help you as best I can :)

I'd accept this alteration, making damage less but the speed boost the same. The cost has been risen to 24 MP:

Sure that works for me. What if I drop the speed to 2X and made the damage 1.25?

Shockwave: 25% + Melee 100%= 125% and a speed of 2 times. That way it has a higher cost a lower speed and still a better damage ratio then just 1.0.

Edited check out the new formula.
