Thoughts in Chaos
|
Mission 4: Smooth Criminal Day one “Annie…Annie!!!” The place was dark, a single spot light hit the middle of the floor of Diligent’s Calling, a Tavern some place in the slums. Someone put a coin into the jukebox…music started playing. “Annie…Annie…are you okay?” Despite all the music and dancing…there was one person clinging to the body of a lifeless woman…”Are you okay Annie?” There was a window that shattered. The single bullet hole through its center made the fragile material slowly crack, and eventually crumble. “Annie! Are you OKAY? ARE YOU OKAY ANNIE?” Why was the man yelling? He knew she wasn’t okay. Annie was dead. To understand why exactly, you need only look at one piece of evidence. Annie was a Shinra Employee. There was enough hate in the world against Shinra for just about anyone to have a motive. Particularly though, the suspect list including save the world kind of groups such as AVALANCHE. Though AVALANCHE was more like a group of rag tag vigilantes than anything else. The most they had ever done was poke at Shinra’s foot. It was easily within their power to crush such a group…That’s why the question arose, had AVALANCHE crossed the line? Then again…Blaming it on AVALANCHE would have been a good alibi. The light in the middle of the floor goes dark…a rush of wind and time…A butterfly flutters through the broken window and out onto the streets of Midgar. It flutters by gently as people stomp by it, and cars whiz past…still it flew on its steady course. It came to a pillar that supported one of the plates and began to fly around it, circling upwards towards the sky. Or what most people in Midgar had ever seen of the sky…and that was the underside of the top plates. The small creature flew through some turning cogs and almost got crushed, but it continues its flight. Fluttering gently it reaches the top plate of Midgar and begins to fly high into the air… Jackie looked out her window and watched the creature get overpowered by the Helicopter’s powerful air currents. It was spun around and sent free falling back to the Earth…back to the ground where the insects belonged. Some people would say humans are no better than insects…they deserve to be crushed back to the earth…Jackie saw things differently…Just as insects as a whole had faces unpleasant, the human race had just as many. There was hope though, just like that butterfly…there is beauty. There is something special…Something worth living for. Maybe that’s why she kept on even though she was sure she was going to break at the next obstacle. Thwup, thwup, thwup, thwup, thwup… “MOVE OUT!!! GO, GO, GO!” The SOLDIER’s had arrived back at the Head Quarters. Jackie grabbed a handle and jumped out of the Helicopter. The Handle extended into a zip line that slowed her descent and allowed her to touch down gently. She looked to her left and right as other SOLDIERs landed. All were little more than fodder to anyone with rank. She wasn’t a Sephiroth, but then again, neither were they. Dorado group was just returning from a mission. Jackie was figuring that things were becoming more busy for her with the more experience she garnered. “Woo! Great Job team!” They cheered as they headed towards the base. Jackie however, sighed and found herself alone on the Helicopter pad. She wandered over to the edge of the pad and sat down so that her legs were hanging over the side of the pad. ’Think of all the things that have happened…I’m always getting left alone. It really hurts…killing these people.’ She shook her head, got up, and began walking towards the Barracks. “Hey Jackie! C’mon!” Pressured one of the guys, “Yeah, yeah! Lets head back to the Rec. Room.” Added another. They both wrapped their arms around her waist, she just smiled, put her hands on either of their faces, and pushed them away. “Every time I go there I get another mission.” Jackie said, defending her decision to ignore the Rec. Room. Even if it was the only place in the SOLDIER HQ that she actually enjoyed. ’When its quiet at least.’ They grabbed her arms and started to playfully drag her along, “Oh come on guys…I’m not in the mood.” She was telling them, but in the end she gave in. She found her way to a Rec. Room that was crowded…odd…It was very odd, seeing as how Jackie tended to come here alone… She felt like this place was being stolen from her… She felt like they didn’t understand this place’s significance. She was probably right. Those two guys…they were more like boys really, headed towards the fridge and pulled out some beer. “Here Jackie Have one!” The tossed one to her. She didn’t like beer, it smelled bad. Besides, she would never take something that either A, Shortened her life, or B., made her unable to think straight. So why would she ever drink something that did both? She tossed the can back to the boy. “No thanks, I don’t drink.” Jackie was content with her gun cleaning kit…It seemed she was always cleaning her guns in this place…always… She mindlessly pulled the bolt of the rifle and cleaned out the barrel with the ram rod. She had done this so many times…it was almost too easy. She then oiled the outside of the gun ~ There! No more finger prints anywhere on the gun. She looked up and saw that some SOLDIERs were watching her work. They probably had never seen a SOLDIER with a gun before, since most SOLDIERs used swords. ’The benefits of the Mako Inducement are obvious: to get the most out of them why not use a melee weapon? That way you could use your full strength, instead of relying completely on the strength of your weapon…Well…I have to argue that a well placed shot can take someone down just as easy…if not easier.’ Jackie opened up the bolt and slid a bullet into the feed ramp. Click. The next sound…as she had begun to enjoy saying…would be “bang”. The Rec. Room was starting to get rowdy now, especially with the beer going to the heads of the younger guys. Jackie figured it was time to go. She got up and quietly walked out when her cell phone went off. ’Right on time.’ She thought as she flipped it open. ’From Commander Orph: Report to Mission Office. New Assignment.’ ’Another mission? Already? Why am I even trying to act surprised…I know I brought this on myself because Everytime I go into the Rec. Room I get a new mission. Serioulsy though, I just returned from my last one, doesn’t anybody around here care about that?’ She flipped the cell phone closed and changed directions, heading towards the Mission office instead of the barracks and her lovely bunk. Today lots of maps and papers were tacked onto the walls of the Mission Office. It seemed…Well the place was always busy, but…. ’The Mission office is over flowing…what in the world is going on? I’ve never seen it like this before. Certainly it was busy when Daze was screwing with People’s anus’s and all, but seriously…This is just…’ “Commander Orph?” She timidly called into the chaos. “Commander Orph?!” A hand raised over a couple of heads, “Over here 3rd Class.” ’Why does he insist on calling me by my rank? There a TONS of 3rd class SOLDIERs in this room. He could referring to any number of them…but just in this case I know for a fact that he’s waiting for me.’ Jackie pushed and shoved her way over towards Commander Orph, the man was battling another fellow about orders to give another unit of SOLDIER. She approached him, saluted, and said “Sir, what’s going on?” The Commander handed Jackie a list. “There was a hit carried out on Annie Wiles, Shinra Employee.” Jackie didn’t exactly see the names on the list until she looked at them again, with shock she realized…it was a hit list. “C-Commnader?!” She said, a little outraged to be lowered down to this level. She wasn’t a hit person. That was what the Turks did. The Turks were the special Operations unit, She was with the Tactical Squad. She wasn’t a frelling hit man, she was a sniper. There was a large difference…”What? It’s nothing you haven’t done before. Just find match the face and eliminate the target.” She lowered her head in defeat. “I don’t understand what the deal is…Some lady dies, and I get handed a hit list?” Commander Orph grabbed her by the shoulder and moved her ear closer to him. “Shinra has a lot of Dirty laundry to hide from the media right now. The Annie Wiles hit was a flood Gate. Just carry out those hits…return here…and then we’ll let you know if we’re going to send you out after Annie Wiles’ killer.” “I don’t get it, What exactly was this woman involved in!?” Commander Orph looked her in the eyes, and with a look of sincere compassion he said…”Trust me Jackie…you don’t even want to know. Look. You be a good girl, and I’ll submit your name for a promotion to 2nd class?” Jackie lowered her eyes to the floor as she pocketed the list… “…Fine…” A hit man was she now? Was that a promotion or a demotion? Jackie was a SOLDIER. In truth, she didn’t have the heart for the kind of things that the Turks did. Yet…it was just that. They were sending her out to do the Turks’ job. She didn’t like it at all. She walked back to the barracks, along the way she had to chew out some guy who couldn’t keep his hands to himself. Why did they even want to touch her anyways? She had nothing on her chest, and that’s all they seemed to care about… In any case, when she arrived at her bunk she laid down and put her arm across her forehead…what was she going to do? She had to kill 15 people. Then, an additional person depending on if he played ball with Shinra or…most people didn’t play ball with Shinra. There were at least two incidents of this she was aware of; Shinra was good at whatever it did. Day Two: Ten of the hits had been found. She knew a majority of the hits would be in Midgard, and an additional advantage over them was that they probably didn’t know they were being taken out with the garbage. Jackie sat against a wall of a helicopter, she kicked open the door and could hear the full force of the chopper’s blades. She pulled up her Sniper rifle and aimed…There was a man swimming in a pool on the other side of her rifle’s scope…Bang. Red started to fill the pool. The Chopper’s pilot began to make a round across a different section of town… Combined with some intelligence gained from the ground, she knew exactly where the next target was. She looked through her scope at a woman doing the dishes in her own house…Jackie’s finger squeezed the trigger…Jackie followed the bullet with her eyes…it was as if the world were in slow motion…slowly it made its way towards her skull…it put a hole in the window and began to dig its way into the bone surrounded her brain…She didn’t get a chance to scream. Blood spattered against the window. She was dead. She gave the pilot the signal. They were done with this target. It was on to the next one then was it? She didn’t know how much more of this she could take. There was a man walking out of his home in the slums, she took aim…he was balding, and had a large belly. He looked like he might have been a Shinra employee himself… She squeezed the trigger right as he dropped his keys…he bent over to pick them up… The bullet whizzed over his head. Frightened the man covered his head and started to take cover…A second bullet whizzed through his skull. Jackie watched him fall to the ground. Another nameless target… She was starting to feel really terrible about these people. They all had families…they all had lives… She was ending it all for them. It was over. A mother with her children was eating ice cream in a park. The mother was wanted dead. Jackie took aim…Her children were right there… in front of her. They were smiling. She was smiling. One of the children got ice cream on his nose. She squeezed the trigger. Through her scope, Jackie could watch the look of lifeless shock in her eyes…she wasn’t expecting to die so soon. The woman fell over onto one of her children. There was blood on the child’s ice cream…The children screamed…Jackie could see their tears… ’Ouch…this one…really hurts.’ Jackie had to wipe away tears that were crawling down her face. She gave the signal…on to the next one. There he was…the last one that they currently knew about, he was trying his hardest to get out of town. Jackie leaned out of the helicopter and held her gun out, she lowered the sight until the crosshairs met on the man’s head…Bang…His Motorcycle drove into a wall, people began to gather around and stare at the body… She killed…and killed… and killed. The Helicopter turned and began to head back towards the HQ. The Ten hits had been pulled off, even as unlikely as it seemed. The Pilot shook his head, “I tried my best to keep her steady for you, but DAMN! You made some pretty hard shots missy.” “It was nothing.” Jackie was a sniper. Not just any sniper, but one who worked for SOLDIER. She was the best Sniper in the entire world, too bad that didn’t amount to much…yet… “Jasus, Shooting out of a moving helicopter is a feat to be proud of. I doubt any of our other boys could do something like that.” Jackie blew the whole comment off by saying, “Of course they can’t…they’re all sword users.” She looked at the window, imagining herself…pulling the trigger…on any number of people. Flash…bam…she shot someone else…and another…and another… She killed so many people today and she didn’t even know if any of them deserved it. She didn’t even know what any of them did in the first place, or what they even had to do with Annie Wiles. ’I have to get to the bottom of this myself…If I wait until tomorrow and we finish up on the hit list it may be too late. I need to confront these people and ask them myself what the whole deal was.’ Jackie looked at the remaining names on the list…She didn’t have it in her heart to spare their lives, but rather…she wanted to spare herself the pain and guilt she would bear if she killed them without knowing what was going on. ’The brood mentioned something as well…He said that this was for everyone’s good…but what was he even doing in that old Mako Reactor? He said something about…destroying Shinra…That’s nothing new to me…but I don’t understand why all of the sudden all these people must die.’ Before daylight, Day Three: It was early morning now. Jackie had made preparations to leave while she was supposed to be in bed…’2 AM…daylights burning already. I have to be fast.’ She snuck down to the garage and borrowed a G – Bike. She pulled out the list after she slung her gun across her back. ’Bonnie Calahan. You’re first.’ She kicked the bike’s stand, and roared the motor to life. “RAWWWWRRR!!!” The machine seemed to be yelling. She sped the bike into gear. She was determined as the her blew across her face and made her hair flail behind her. The Cycle roared as she dodged through a series of cars and trucks, and then at last made her way into the slums… She slowed the G bike as she began to reach her destination…the home she had come to didn’t look like anything important. Why Shinra could possibly want a hit on a person that lived here was beyond her. She knocked on the door and immediately found a barrel at her nose. “Bastard.” A man holding the gun through the door said, “You think you can just walk up and kill us? Bonnie has already skipped town you Mako freak, so know that you doubly failed Hahahah!” Jackie knocked the barrel of the rifle to the left, then grabbed the feeding ramp and disconnected it from the rifle’s body. She let her own weapon remain at her side as she offered the feed ramp to the man. “I’m here to hear your side of the story.” Looked at her questioningly still, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing so naturally you would get something like what Jackie got from him. “You just want me to let my guard down, I won’t fall for it.” Jackie shook her head. “Look, if I really wanted to kill you I would have already…By the way…you can’t shoot without this part.” She offered the feed ramp again to the man. He clicked the trigger and then grabbed the feed ramp from her in frustration. “See..? Dead. D. E. A. D.” “You’re side of the story then?” She inquired, he walked into the building and sat down on the sofa, several others were already there. Jackie closed the door behind her, but followed him. “Rover?! Are you betraying us?” The man shook his head, “Naw, she wanted to hear our side of the story.” Jackie looked at the sky through a window. “And you better hurry too ~ All of you are scheduled to die today.” The people looked at each other cautiously. “Why are you doing this?” Asked the man who opened the door. “Because…I killed so many people today, and I don’t even know if they should have died… I want to know…what is it that Annie Wiles was involved in that her death would trigger the extermination orders of all of you.” A woman sitting on a couch answered, “What’s your name SOLDIER?” She questioned Jackie, Jackie obliged. “Jackie, SOLDIER 3rd Class.” She told the woman. “My name is Bonnie ~” The woman nodded in acknowledgement of Jackie’s rank, “I was a good friend of Annie Wiles, and an employee of Shinra.” Jackie raised an Eyebrow, “You’re all Shinra Employees?” The woman nodded, “That’s right, we are work for Shinra. Research and development division…The one with all the secrets.” The woman offered Jackie a seat across of her with a wave; Jackie sat and folded her arms across her chest. “What Secrets? What happened with Annie?” “Its really complicated…Annie was involved with the Corruption of Shinra; she was the heart of a love triangle between two men, and at the same time the lead developer on our project: Project X.” The woman crossed her arms and formed an X for emphasis, her arms then went back to her sides. “Project X was a Project following Project J.” Jackie leaned forward, “What is Project J?” The woman shook her head, “Not even we know what it is, but Project X was supposed to be a follow up on a theory developed from Project J. At least that’s what we were told. We worked on manipulating the genes of humans. You could say that the Mako Inducement process comes from our some of our discoveries. It wasn’t enough for Shinra though. Shinra said that Project J was such a success that it couldn’t even be repeated. It was the 1 out of one thousand.” “Project X was pushed farther: we had to push people farther and farther. We had to break them and remodel them in whatever picture we had in our head. So many people were killed as part of Project X.” Jackie was getting a little frustrated, “But What is Project X exactly?” The woman looked at her feet in defeat, “I feel that in order to know what Project X is you must understand its history… We Created an advanced form of Mako Inducement we called ‘the brood’. We tested on many subjects, but most of them died: We encountered numerous cases of Mako poisoning… Yet…the one who survived eventually completely took on the code name of the project. He called himself the brood. The result of Project X.” “I was involved in a mission with the brood. He was put down.” The woman began to laugh, “Put down the brood? That is impossible.” Jackie tilted her head to the side, “How is that impossible? I shot him with my own rifle.” The woman laughed, “It’s because the brood is a hive mind. Infected individuals eventually transform into one of the brood. Why do you think we called him the brood? It was confirmed that even when the brood’s original body was eliminated that his other bodies seemed to still be controlled by the same intellect. He was the same person in the end.” Jackie began to feel worried about herself and Richard, “How can you know if someone is infected by the brood?” The woman laughed, “All of us here are infected with the brood. I’m slowing becoming part of him myself.” The woman held up her left hand which she had previously hid in the shadows…it was elongated. Her nails were forming into claws. “You’ll know if you’re infected by the brood by the fact that he can control your actions if he so wills it.” Jackie nodded, the brood had indeed controlled her back at the Mako Reactor…that would explain its powers…but why wasn’t she showing any symptoms of being infected? Richards was partly insane because of the infection…no…Richard…She wondered how far his infection had progressed since she last saw him. “Is there a cure?” The woman looked at her hand amusedly for a moment before looking at Jackie, “There might be. Once you start showing physical transformations it’s too late. Though…what I have in mind is also just a theory.” Jackie leaned forward. “What is it?” The woman looked into Jackie’s eyes. “A special vaccine that I created. It’s like the Mako Inducement you’ve already gone through, but its more specialized. Using brood cells as the focus.” This did lead Jackie to another question though…”Why didn’t you use it on yourself?” The woman stood up and walked around the couch, “Because I didn’t want to. Call me insane…I figured I was going to die anyways.” Jackie leaned forward in her seat, she was a little uncomfortable of this woman taking such a dominate stance. “Where is the vaccine now?” The woman patted her pocket. She pulled out a vial and tossed it to Jackie. “We don’t need it anymore…if you’ve encountered the brood you should probably take this before you get taken over.” “To tell the truth, the only Reason the Brood can do what it does is because it is a direct Mimic to whatever was used in Project J. We were given special cells to examine…Almost all SOLDIERs have those cells. That’s why…Why we must destroy Shinra. I won’t let you stop me this time daughter.” The woman said…Jackie watched in horror as the woman started becoming just like the brood she had met at the old Mako Reactor. “In a few minutes…though it pains me…you’ll become a part of me as well…” Jackie felt her muscles tighten up…she couldn’t move. “Though it pains me to do this…I must.” Her fingers were tightly wrapped around the vial…tighter…tighter…The vial cracked underneath the firmness of her grip and some of the glass pierced her skin…it let the vaccine enter her body. She already felt her muscle’s loosening. The other people in the room also began to transform into brood. “What does any of this have to do with Annie though?” The brood all laughed simultaneously, “Annie was the flood gate. As soon as she was dead, I could fully exploit my abilities…” Jackie felt less guilty now for sure. If she hadn’t killed those ten people yesterday they would have become brood. “I will destroy Shinra…tonight.” The brood began to laugh, all five of them were waiting for Jackie to turn into a brood as well…however Jackie’s body was slowly falling under her control again. After a minute had passed the brood frowned, “What’s taking so…The vaccine, it was in her hand!” The realized moments too late. Jackie whipped her rifle out and whipped the butt against the skull of the brood that had formerly been Bonnie. She flipped the weapon around and fired the bahamut shot that was within her rifle and caught 3 of the brood in it. Two of them were dead. Jackie ducked underneath a claw, and jumped over a lunge. She placed her foot on Bonnie’s head and jumped shot a hole through the ceiling and jumped up through the roof. She was outside now, and in the air. She quickly pulled the bolt back and let a steaming hot shell pop out. She threw in another one and annihilated the building with another Bahamut’s Breath. Bonnie appeared behind Jackie. She turned in midair and blocked her claws with the rifle. “Even if you destroy all of us here…this will not stop Shinra’s Down fall!” They spun around in midair, locked in combat as they hurtled towards the ground. Hand to hand combat was a skill Jackie had never been any good at. Bonnie was ripping her apart. She scratched Jackie on her arms and sides as Jackie desperately tried to avoid the attacks. Jackie kicked off of the brood with her feet and fired a shot at Bonnie. Bonnie was dead. Jackie hit the rubble pile that had been the house. She got up, even in the pain she was in and looked for the last of the brood. There they were…running down the street. Jackie popped in a normal bullet and calmly aimed…bang. One down. The other brood turned to her in anger, he made all of living nearby come out of their homes and act as shields. It was over for them anyways…She fired a bahamut’s breath that ate them all alive. She walked over to the body of the last brood and looked down at him. “I told you..even if you killed all of me here…Shinra will still fall tonigh…” The brood took its last breath. ’It’ll still fall tonight? But all of the people from the hit list were here…I’m sure of it.’ Jackie pulled out the names and matched the faces to the actual people…’They’re all gone. I took them all out…what else could the brood possibly have up his…Richard!’ Jackie ran over to her G bike and revved it up double time. She could smell burnt rubber as she pushed the back past its limits. She drove over a car, crushing its head in, this gave her an amount of air that let her skip down to another highway system. ’I’m racing against time here…I gotta get to the hospital that Richard is being kept in before it’s too late.’ Jackie drove through a tunnel she pulled out her rifle and pulled the bolt to let another hot shell fly out. She put in another bullet and reset the bolt. Click. It was ready for another shot. She crashed through the guard rail of the highway system and landed in the hospital’s parking garage. Driving all the way to the bottom would take too long… She revved the engine one more time and drove up another car using it to gain some air for the clearance between the building and the parking garage. The G bike crashed through window of some unsuspecting patient’s room. Jackie kept her head down as the shattered glass fell freely in the air… It scratched her face and arms. She drove the door of the room down and made a sharp turn, driving down the hallway. Everyone at this point was getting out of their rooms to see what the bloody hell all the noise was, Jackie had to tilt the G bike to avoid running over some poor unsuspecting person who was curious enough to open their door. Here came a hard decision, stairs or the elevator? She broke through the door of the stairs and started to drive up their length. She drove up the wall as she made a hard turn to continue going up the stairs. The front wheels of the G bike crashed through the door and Jackie quickly tried to find her way into the psychiatric ward. She zoomed down the hallways, it was so hard to do when there was hardly any light. When she found it, she didn’t even take the time to stop the G bike. She jumped off the vehicle as it sped to its own doom. She dove into the door and knocked it open. All of the residents here were awake and going pretty much insane like they always did… Jackie ran towards Richard’s bed and opened the curtain surrounding it with the nose of her gun. Nothing he had escaped. She looked around…The window! She ran over towards the window and put a foot on the window sill. She took aim as she scanned the area for Richard…he had grown wings and was flying towards shinra…One of the crazies in the ward put their hand on Jackie’s shoulder, this didn’t distract her aim ~ but when that hand burst into claws and those close bit into her flesh, she turned and rifle whipped the guy. Everyone in the ward had turned into a brood. She shook her head at them, fired one shot, popped the bolt open, threw in another bahamut’s breath, and annihilated them all. She turned back to Richard who was almost out of range…for a normal sniper, with a normal rifle...This was Jackie though. She was a SOLDIER with one of the best sniper rifles ever created. The Double X one nine six. She brought the barrel to a level even with Richard’s head. She pulled the trigger. The bullet whizzed through the air, slicing the wind as it screamed towards Richard. The brood turned its head almost too late, through the scope Jackie could see that he saw her…the bullet dug into his brain…he was gone. The body began to fall to the ground. ’Game over…I win.’ Jackie turned around and began to finish off the brood in the hospital. Most of them were injured so this wasn’t too hard. She walked over one by one and shot them in the head. After wards she did a sweep of the floor checking to see if anyone else had become a brood. “You can’t stop me!” one of the patients suddenly yelled, Jackie shot her in the head. It looked all clear from here. She could only hope that that was the last time she had to ever deal with the brood again. ’Game over…I win…’ Jackie wasn’t sure if she even wanted to win. Well it was a little too late for that…but now that she looked at it…she had killed so many people tonight. Especially during her walk through the hospital as she killed anyone who showed signs of being a brood. ’Game over.’ She had thought each time she pulled the trigger. She walked back over towards the elevator and stair case. This time…she chose the elevator, and the choice wasn’t even that difficult to make. She walked into the doors and hit the first floor button… She slumped down to the ground of the elevator…clinging to her gun as the horrors of the night finally caught up with her. Her cell phone began to vibrate. She ignored it for a minute or two, but gave up resisting and flipped it open. It read: ’From Commander Orph: You better have a damn good reason.’ She began to text back to him. ’Mission Complete.’ That phrase would be enough to hold him over for now. When the elevator hit the bottom floor she got out and ignored the mass of angry nurses and doctors. She looked at the clock on the wall and chuckled to herself…it was seven AM now. She had been out all night kicking ass. These people were so ungrateful…then again…most of them weren’t a target for the brood, but who knew what the creature would do after it attacked Shinra? Jackie sort of felt like a hero, but she knew that her achievements would get ignored. Only the SOLDIER 1st class’s ever got any recognition. When she got back to the SOLDIER HQ, Commander Orph grilled her for half an hour before finishing with, “Now do you have anything to say for yourself?” She nodded her head, “I’m tired.” She replied to him. “Don’t you dare get smart on me. What the hell were you thinking doing all of that? Especially riding the G bike inside the hospital…killing a bunch of the residents and then not to mention you let the G bike drive through a window! Its completely useless now!” Jackie was ignoring him…she just studied the markings on her gun for the moment. “I eliminated all the targets on the hit list as ordered sir.” She handed him the list…all the names were crossed off. He looked at it and nodded, “I commend you for that but because of the damage you have done to both public, and Shinra property…I’m sorry, but I can’t submit your name for a promotion, I’d lose my job if I did.” She nodded. She didn’t expect much from Commander Orph anyways. She never got anything out of him except orders. “I’m going to my bunk. I’m tired.” She walked in a half zombie like daze as she wandered through the halls of the HQ towards her generic bed. She laid down on it and fell asleep. ’Game over…I win.’ |
