Appearance: Just like Human's, the appearance of these creatures are vast looks. Eyes, Hair and even skin can vary in many assortments. Personality: Cyborgs are thrown into several categories. But when you get down to it, they are only in two really. There are those without emotion and those with emotion. Many Cyborgs become like an Android when they become too much machine, but most Cyborgs have just a simple limb replaced with a piece of machine. Rumor has it that a man with a gun grafted onto his arm is opposing Shin-Ra. He is a perfect example of a Cyborg with emotion. Due to this cyborg's Shin ra based past, this cyborg is more militaristic, but the personality is up to them. Background: Cyborgs have been around since the technology allowed such things to exist. Although, the extremity of it has not shown itself until recent. At first it was simple grafts to missing limbs, now people can have entire parts of their body replaced. So long as there is something organic about their body that takes up at least 20% of it, they fall under Cyborg. Sadly, the Human body cannot convert to entire machine without the person dying and the Cyborg just being an Android of senselessness. Due to this cyborg's history of the SOLDIER program, the cyborg has gone through the induction of JENOVA cells. Traits: Interchangeable Part [------] <---Fill what part it has replaced. Copy and paste for every part replaced. Description: Body parts are sometimes replaced due to accidents or just the desire to be better. This is usually the result of such things. These parts of the body tend to be harder than other substances due to them being made of advanced machinery. The parts made of machinery can be later replaced with other parts. For now they will only be basic things made of Iron. All parts are connected to the nerves and your brain through that allowing you to control the part like it were a normal limb. Requirements: Cyborg-Human, must start with. Effect: Starts with a replaced part for every 10 put into Machine Operation. All skin can be replaced at 50 Machine Operation. Paste this trait for every part/organ replaced. Cost: None Micro-Chips Description: Because of the machinary, Androids and Cyborgs can get chips implanted into them giving them boosts in various areas. These chips are Accessories that do not count against their Accessory slot. These will have the words "(Upgrade)" next to the name to show that only Cyborgs and Androids can wield them. Even so, a Cyborg and Android can only have so many of these. The limit is three. So that with an Accessory is four, not bad. Requirements: Cyborg-Human Effect: Allows Androids and Cyborgs to have three Upgrade Chips to be added to their body to improve them in various ways. Cost: None Lack of Armor Description: Because of the robotics of a Cyborg, they can't have a lot of armor on them. Every replaced part of their body takes up on of their armor slots (Can take up more than 3). If your Cyborg has 3 replaced parts, then they cannot wear armor since it would hinder their ability to manuever their replaced parts or maintain them properly. Requirements: Cyborg-Human Effect: Stated Above Cost None - Fill this out and place under Weapon or Armor in your Character Sheet -------- Part Description: Strength/Durability: 12 Requirements: 10 Machine Operation Material: Iron Cost: None Mako Boost Description: Those in Soldier are enhanced physically and can do things normal people can't. Because of this a lot of normal humans class them as monsters. But this is just a stereotype. Once a Human undergoes their Mako Induction their connection with the Life Stream grows weak and is why they don't have the Health Boost normal Humans have. Requirements: Mako Induced Human Effect: +10 to Strength, Endurence and Speed Cost: None The cost of Rebellion Description: Due to the cyborg's rebellion against the Shin Ra and SOLDIER progam, the cyborg has a +20% weakness to all magic and all casting techniques and abilities requirements are raised 20%. Effect: Take 20% more damage from all magic, Casting techniques and ability requirements are raised by 20%. Cost: None Unique Abilities: Hacker Description: When it comes to hacking, your parts can allow you to do the trick easier than most. Just plug a wire into your replaced part and go at it. Requirements: Cyborg-Human; 30 Machine Operation Effect: If there is a restricted area that you normally can't access and is locked electronically, you can fix it and gain access. Cost: None All in One Description: This ability allows one to make their starting weapon (Or any weapon) be part of their replaced part. This can be done without this ability with the right technological advancements, but this ability allows the replaced part to hold a Materia where as the other method would not. Think Barret in Advent Children with his gun-arm that changed from a gun to a normal hand. Requirements: 20 Weapon Skill and 10 Machine Operation Effect: Allows replaced part to change from a normal limb into a weapon (Stated at the start of the thread) and gives that part a non-linked Materia slot. Slots from the weapon are one with the replaced part. Add the durability of the weapon onto the durability of the part. Cost: None Edited by Crimson, Jul 18 2009, 08:59 PM.

I'd like to see another weakness because this is basically Mako Induced+Cyborg. It has been stated that the Mako and the Cyborgism wouldn't mix well. |

What if I upped the dmg taken by casting/element to 15% and the requirements 30%, and add a 15 % increase to materia cost of casting/elemental abilities....Cause I cant really think of anything other than such a weakness, cause I don't know why they wouldn't mix, its just replacing an arm kinda thing. Got any suggestions? Thats why I dont really understand the cyborg race, ur a cyborg the second u replace a limb with anything mechanical, which also leads to why must cyborgs be only human? And then because of that, why wouldnt they still have the human traits and abilities....I think what I'm really leading up to is that, cyborg shouldn't necessarily be a race, because theres nothing really racial about replacing an arm, its not something passed down from generation to generation, like the traits of a human being, or a leonine or whatever, its not so much a race as it is an add on, kind of like an improvement upon the body..... But yea, if thats not ok, do you have any suggestions? |

Hmmm...make it a 20% increase to all effects from magic in general and the 20% can be alright as well. |

So then make it like this? The cost of Rebellion Description: Due to the cyborg's rebellion against the Shin Ra and SOLDIER progam, the cyborg has a +20% weakness to all magic and all casting techniques and abilities requirements are raised 20%. Effect: Take 20% more damage from all magic, Casting techniques and ability requirements are raised by 20%. Cost: None |

Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
|
I think Bowwy was thinking more "20% to all effects by Magic Materia, negative and positive." If you rather have just the negative effects, keep it at the original 10%. |

I dunno, IMO what you posted just now is a pretty good weakness but might require a little more. You might need Cloud for this one. |

You can also only have 4 traits as far as I know, I count 7 here but I may be wrong. |

Here's my idea: You can have all the boosts from Cyborg and Mako. Except for one weakness, which would be: -5% Max HP per Part attached. This would signify the bad mix between mako and cyborg. How's this sound, guys? Edited by Kenny, Jul 16 2009, 02:48 AM.

I prefer Bowwy's idea. It's more fair. After that is done, you have my approval. Edited by Kenny, Jul 17 2009, 12:15 AM.
