In the slums beneath sector eight a figure dressed in black wandered aimlessly drawing stares from the few honest residents of the slums and threats and shouts from the more violent groups. His hair was almost impossibly dark and his pupils were black as well.....In fact the only thing that deviated was his pale skin. Strapped to his side was a long hammer with a wicked spike attached to one side. All of this probably made him appear intimidating or threatening to those of the slums but his demeanor was most disturbing. He weaved side to side without going any particular direction making it appear he might suddenly lunge in any direction. His eyes were half lidded and seemed vacant. He mumbled under his breath what would sound like nonsense to the average passerby."Lily...........Fuhito........Kill.........My revenge..." He muttered quietly drawing some strange glances. As he stopped muttering he froze and looked straight ahead for a few moments absolutely still. Then he began laughing , a low dark sound at first barely audible, but after a few moments he threw his head back and let out an unearthly cackle as if he found something horribly amusing. On of the locals looked at him skeptically and walked over to him putting a hand on his shoulder." You ok buddy?" the guy asked, obviously not realizing the danger of it. Leon spun and punched the man in the temple and he fell to the ground from the unexpected strike striking his head on the pavement. Leon turned away from the man a twisted grin on his face as he began to walk towards a woman and a small child nearby. However another man interfered stepping between them and brandishing a knife."Get out of here ass hole" He snarled pointing at Leon with the tip of the blade. Still grinning Leon drew his hammer and walked towards the man who stared at him determinedly. Leon walked forward without changing his stance or even apparently taking notice of the mans threat. As he neared the man took a step forward and swung with the knife. It was an easily dodged attack and the man seemed surprised as the blade sank into Leons side. However Leon kept grinning and grabbed the man who's eyes went wide. He got behind the man and put the handle of his hammer over his throat before pulling. The man struggled and grasped and Leon grinned for another moment before a bored look overcame him. As the mans struggles ceased he let go and the man fell to his knees before Leon kicked him in the back and sent him sprawling. Without any sign of discomfort he pulled the knife from his stomach and threw it aside before looking for the woman and child again. They were nowhere in sight. Anger flashed across Leons face and he raised his hammer over his head in preparation to bring it down on the man.... |

The shadows of an alleyway deep in the middle of the sector 8 slums hid him from the view of those who lived there, his form leaning up against one of the walls of the buildings making the sides of the alleyway, his head leaning back against it, the white hair fanning out behind him as he seemed to stare into the sky. It was hard to believe it was only a week since that incident, and only a day since he had fully recovered from the lesson in humility he had received from one, and two weeks since he had his near death experience at her hands. It seemed as if, everything had changed because of those events. On the one hand, there was that woman, who he vaguely remembered fighting with him against the dragon that had attacked Kalm, but who was now incredibly strong. Though he had stopped his fighting while he had gone into training, it still amazed him how much she had surpassed him in so short a time. Yet she had also been able to hold onto her ideals, of not forgiving any who kill innocents and such as that. He had not thought it was possible to be moral and strong at the same time, to him, part of gaining strength was throwing your morals out of the door. At least, that was what he had thought since he had broken out of the lab. He had to wonder now though, if that was somehow leftover from what they had done to him. If part of that they had done had been to make him a killing machine, who felt no remorse at the death of those he killed. He knew however he had not always been like that, that he had not always been so emotionless. The memory he had regained in that old laboratory he had visited before that fateful encounter played over in over in his mind. He remembered feeling happiness and contentment and joy at the presence of his brother, and he remembered the pain and sorrow and remorse that had filled him at being forced to kill him. Even now, he felt something beyond the memory, he felt that sadness start to well up inside of him, and below it, the remorse. He shook his head, quickly dispelling the memory and the disturbing feelings that came with it. He couldn't afford to let himself feel them if he was to complete his goal. He frowned at that thought, something that had been ingrained in him as far back as he could remember. Admittedly that wasn't long but it was a part of him. Now though it seemed as if that was wrong. That woman had obviously felt anger and rage, the only emotions he was supposed to feel, yet, he had heard remorse in her voice at some of her words, especially in talking about killing at the command of that voice. Yet she was still stronger than he, by many times over. What was the right answer? That was when he heard the sounds of a mad cackling ring through the air, interrupting his thoughts. He quickly stood up, his body moving fluidly into a standing position, as he slipped the Darkness materia he had found at that place into his trench coat, the other materia already slotted into his sword. As his footsteps wander towards the mouth of the alley he wonders for a moment why he is even bothering to get involved. Then Chris's words 'does it matter why anyone does anything' came to him, and he stopped worrying about it. As he stepped from the moth of the alley, his eyes immediately moved to fall on the man across the way from him, seeing him choking the life out of someone else with what looked to be the handle of a large hammer. He caught movement out of the corner of his eye and saw a woman and child cowering in fear behind a nearby building as if they had started to run but couldn't any farther as if some twist of fate forced them to watch from hiding. As he focused his eyes back on the hammer man, he saw him glancing around, then seeming to get angry as he raised the hammer with the obvious intention of hitting the man, who seemed to gasping for breath, barely holding onto consciousness. He was faced with a sudden conundrum as he was about to watch someone else kill a man. If he was the one killing him, he would not feel remorse nor pity for he would know he had good reason. Watching as he was about to be killed however, was different. He felt the urge to stop it. At the same time, a third urge arose in him, from being around so many people. He realized he was hungry, that he needed to feed soon or he would berserk again. Before he realized what he was doing, he had already reached up into his trench coat and grasped the hilt of his sword as he ran forward. The sound of ringing metal filled the air as the black sword came forth, and he swung it with a flick of the wrist, the long whip-like blade flashing forward so it would intercept the hammer blow as it fall, his voice sounding as well, asking the only question that mattered to him that moment. He needed to discover more, about the situation and about emotion, and others, and so he asked the question designed to do that. "Why are you trying to kill him?" Leon looked up from his target as something suddenly halted his hammer above the man. What he saw was a man roughly half a foot taller than him and just as pale with long white hair and a trench coat that fell to his ankles. However his bizarre appearance as well as his words were basically lost on Leon. Having lost interest in the man who had just been saved Leon drew his hammer back and held it at his side one handed, the head just barely avoiding the ground as he started pacing back and forth in front of Drathmar. He gave a childlike grin as he paced. "Who is this......?........Why is he here? Didn't know anything about him............Is he fun?" Leon wondered twistedly his thoughts scrambled as the programming becoming a Raven had given him kicked in. A giddy excitement ran through him and he swung the hammer like a pendulum. as he began to laugh. He slowly started towards Drathmar only to freeze and look at the street corner as he felt something wrong. A man rounded the corner and Leon stared at him his face twisting into a look of pure hate. Apparently forgetting Drathmar Leon walked past him and towards the man his grip tightening on the hammer in his hand. The man was tall and wore a blue uniform under a long coat, his eyes glowed a soft blue as well. He walked toward Leon smirking and apparently uncaring about his obvious intent."So they were right. There was one of you freak running around down here." He said with an amused edge in his voice. The SOLDIER then drew his weapon, a pistol, and pointed it at Leon. "So. How about it freak? Wanna play?" He asked while still grining. Leon Ran forward readying his hammer and shrieking at the man even as the sound of gunshots echoed off the buildings.................. |

Drathmar smirked to himself as he heard the loud clang of the hammer and his sword meeting, the sound ringing through the air as he flicked his wrist once more, bringing the ship like sword back to him, the segments coming together with barely a sound. The smirk was from being successful, the joy of success at anything he did running through him. The smirk soon turned to a frown however as he realized he had just saved a mans life. He wondered for a moment why he had done that. Was there some parted of him that cared about seeing other humans die when he wasn't killing them. This was only the second time he had been in a position to stop the murder of another, and both times he had acted to save life. His thoughts where interrupted however as he heard the laughter of the man and his eyes snapped to him as he approached. His eyes watched the hammer carefully as he fully took in his appearance of this strange man for the first time. Very fair skin, almost as pale as his own but not quite, black eyes and blue black hair that was somewhat long for a male and the black clothing he wore that seemed like a uniform but not any he had ever seen before. He also noted that his question hadn't been answered and by the laugh that he sounded quite mad. His hand shifted a bit on the hilt of his sword taking a firm grip though as it looked as if this mad man wanted to fight him. Until he stopped and looked up the street and Drath frowned as he watched him not knowing what to do or say as he had never met anyone quite like him. That was when he heard the voice from the SOLDIER who had appeared down the street. His eyes turned to the new man and as soon as he took in the blue uniform, he felt rage rise like a tidal wave inside of him. With a growl, he turned to the SOLDIER even as the black garb man rushed at the SOLDIER. He took a step forward preparing to leap at him with everything he had, but before he did he forcefully pulled his rage under control. He would kill him, but he would not go out of control while doing so. Instead of leaping at him he broke into a short run, and quickly snapped his sword forward into whip form, aiming to pierce the mans gun arm, his eyes shining with hatred as he did. |

Leon jerked as two bullets hit him in the hip and shoulder, but he kept running at the SOLDIER not even seeming to feel the bullets impact his flesh. He ran forward and tried to smash the hammer down on the SOLDIER's head at the same time Drake attacked with his blade. The SOLDIER seemed a little surprised to see Drathmar attack him but he avoided both the attack fairly easily and focused on Leon giving only enough attention to Drath to make sure he wasn't attacking. "So what was? Why'd you sign up to become such a fucked up..THING" the Soldier asked him keeping his distance and the gun trained on Leon. Leon gave a hiss and threw the hammer at the SOLDER with a fury that had nothing to do with him being a Raven. The SOLDIER dodged the hammer and flitted away as Leon jumped at him hissing. "C,mon. Tell me. You've gotta remember the reason you fucked yourself up so bad if nothing else." The Soldier taunted him. Abandoning the hammer Leon lunged at the Soldier still hissing " Lily" He shrieked at the Soldier diving close enough to punch the soldier in the jaw. The man simply threw himself backward avoiding most of the blow and resumed his taunting. "What? the big bad Shin-Ra get your wife to leave you or something?" He asked sarcastically with a smirk. Leon let out a yell and charged forward again "Lily" he hissed again as he tried to pound the l out of the SOLDIER. The Soldier though no longer seemed to being enjoying his game. He looked at the twisted creature before him with a dark expression. "Time to end this." He said softly pulling another gun from his coat. As Leon rushed towards him he opened fire with both guns hitting Leon with four of the ten rounds he fired. One to the chest one the knee on to the fore arm and one to the shoulder. The bullet to the knee caused Leon to fall to a crouch but a moment later continued as if nothing had happened. Even as the blood flowed down off him the wounds that were visible slowly started to close. The Soldier snarled at him and fired three more shots only stopping as there was a shrill scream from behind his target. HE moved and Leon turned to see a girl in her teens sink to her knees, blood soaking through her shirt. She held the gunshot wound disbelievingly while drawing shallow breaths for a moment before collapsing. "Shit" The Soldier said as he started towards her, but Leon was already next to her. " Don't even think about it you god damn failure" The man said as he fired two more shots both of them hitting Leon in the leg. Leon fell to the ground next to the girl and the Soldier spat a curse and moved forward, he didn't fire for fear of hitting the girl again. Leon reached for the girl slowly and the Soldier kicked his hand away and looked down at the girl to see her glassy eyes staring back at him. Slowly Leon reached over and closed the girls eyes causing the soldier to back away from him and level his gun again. Leon ran his hand over the dead girls cheek sadly and stood, his bangs hiding his eyes. The Soldier watched as he mumbled something and curiosity overwhelmed him "What did you say? " He asked Leon harshly. Leon looked up at the man with rage in his eyes." You people killed Lily!!!!!" He screamed at the SOLDIER before running forward again even more angry then before and swinging his fist at the surprised solders head. |

Drath was shocked as the SOLDIER was able to dodge the strike he had thrown at him, and his eyes narrowed as he watched him almost ignore him focusing instead on the other being that was attacking him. His hand tightened on the hilt of his sword as he was about to launch another attack. He noticed the soldier firing and hitting the other thing then and how it didn't seem to affect his battle ability at all as his eyes widened slightly. Though he still felt the rage inside of him, he was holding it under control and he let his curiosity reign this time as he just continued to watch the battle for the moment. If it looked like the soldier would win, he would end up stepping in. The words the SOLDIER spoke were not making sense to him either, fucked up thing. Was he saying he knew what the madman in black was? And that he had been made that way? Drath frowned at that thought and wondered why they were fighting then. As far as he knew only Shinra did things like that at all. Now he was finding out maybe someone else had. He felt rage boiling up in him at that idea, causing his whole body to tremble. He was keeping it under control, but it was harder now than it had been before he realized that. It was obvious to him that the madmen was completely and utterly pissed of and completely lost in his rage as he threw himself wildly at the soldier again and again yelling out what sounded like the name of a person who had been close to him as he did. He frowned more as he watched, and each taunt thrown by the SOLDIER made him grip his sword even tighter than it had been before. Unlike the raven though he was learning to control his rage and even though he lost it enough to take a step forward he collected himself again and forced himself to continue watching. He knew that if he interfered the psychotic man might come after him for doing so, as he had been like that before. He saw the SOLDIER pull another gun from his coat and he was about to jump forward but even as he did the SOLDIER opened fire. He was about to once more strike at the SOLDIER with his sword as he saw the enraged one fall, to distract the SOLDIER from killing him as he figured the battle was over. However even as his sword flashed black in the sunlight and started reaching for the enemy, the man got back up and continued rushing the SOLDIER. Drath knew there was something more than his rage just driving them then, it was as if each of the bullets had less effect than they should, or if he was regenerating the damage from them. He wasn't at an angle to see the wounds on the man closing up so he wasn't sure which it was even as the battle continued on, blood splattering the ground as the man moved, and it dripped from his wounds. At this point, Drath slowly moved to lean back against the building and just continue to watch, though the man lost in a lunatic rage didn't seem very skilled or fast he thought he would win just from sheer tenacity. Just as his back was about to hit the building though he heard the scream and his eyes snapped immediately as he saw the teen girl falling, the bullet hole in her chest obvious. Drath growled low in his throat as seeing the SOLDIER kill someone pissed him off the point where he didn't care if it was interference or not anymore. He was no longer content to just was the SOLDIER and psycho fight it out and risk more people getting hurt. He felt a ghost of an emotion rising in him through the rage as well, regret, that he hadn't interfered earlier to save the girl. He recognized it as the emotion he had been feeling when he killed his brothers, in his memory. He had felt it a few times since that event as well, as if remembering it caused him to once more feel it. He quickly pushed it down however, as the battle field was no place for weakness like that in his mind. He was snapped back from his thoughts and dealing with his emotions at the loud scream of the psychotic man screaming that 'you people killed Lily' and Drath figured that he must mean SOLDIERs had killed her. Even as the man leaped at the SOLDIER, Drath moved as his full speed, not to attack the SOLDIER directly however. Instead he moved behind the soldier, and reached out to quickly attempt to grab his arms and if he grabbed them, pull them behind his back to give the rage filled man free reign to do what he wished to him. The man had reason to hate Shinra, and Drath would make sure he got to fulfill that hatred against this man, and make sure the SOLDIER died at the same time. Edited by Drathmar, Oct 2 2009, 06:27 AM.

The SOLDIER had only been focusing on Leon and struggled in confusion as Drathmar held him in place. As Leon saw him being held a cold smile crossed his face that would give some people nightmares. He didn't run but walked towards them quickly grabbing his hammer as he did. The Soldier struggled but couldn't get free in time. Leon swung the hammer at him as hard as he could, whipping the spiked head of the weapon at the mans head, The Soldier in turn reached up and swatted it off course screaming as the steel spike went through his chest between his ribs on the right side. The hit had caused Drath to drop him and the man sank to his knees putting pressure on the wound before pushing himself up hurriedly. As he rose the hammer hit him in the side of the head with a glancing blow sending him sprawling sideways on the pavement a gash across his face. As he continued moving weakly Leon lifted the hammer above his head and brought it down on the Soldiers face spike first. The Spike went through Soldiers head like a ripe melon despite the fact Leon was too weak to put any large amount of strength behind it like someone such as Drathmar. The Soldier now had a hole in his forehead about the size of a half dollar and was certainly dead, but as the memory of the girl and the shadow of his sister ran through his mind rage poured through Leon. He lifted the hammer over his head and brought it down on the soldier’s neck before lifting it back and repeating it until his neck might as well have been hamburger. He kicked the head that was still intact causing it to roll sickeningly as the spinal chord stopped it from being kicked away. He turned on the mans torso and brought the spike down again and again until the body was pockmarked with holes and his rage finally left him. Panting he threw his hammer to the ground an paced wringing his hands, causing his knuckles to crack as his fingers flexed. His rage wasn't really gone. It could never be gone. After what he had seen Soldier do to his own family and to others and the hate he felt for them as a raven. The only thing that could end was his interest in them after they were dead................... |

Drath seemed completely calm as he held the SOLDIER in his arms while the psychotic man approached, his ice blue eyes seeming to be as cold as the frozen far northern continent as they stared at him, waiting for what he knew would happen. As the man picked up the hammer and the SOLDIERS struggles increased, Drath said softly to him. “Stop, you will die for your crime of working for Shinra.” he said, hew knew his words would be loud enough for the hammer wielder to hear but doubted he would register them, at least not until after his rage dissipated. The hammer blow came in and Drath grunted as the SOLDIER freed one of his arms in desperation and was able to deflect the hammer. However, it was just as bad for the SOLDIER as it ended up slamming into his chest, the spiked head of it piercing into him and blood starting to stain his perfect navy blue uniform. As soon as the blow hit, Drath stepped back and let the man drop, his sword that had been the handle he held the mans arm with, being held low with the point to the ground. He would not help kill the SOLDIER. As part of controlling his rage he forced himself to watch while he trembled, wishing to slice the man apart. Yet he didn't, instead he forced himself to be satisfied with watching the SOLDIERs brutal murder. He watched the killing blow fall, saw the spike smash through the forehead and skull of the SOLDIER, and he nodded to himself, whispering softly. “And so you pay.” It seemed as if the words, acknowledging that the SOLDIER had payed for working for Shinra, calmed the rage inside of him as if it was almost as good as killing him himself. He pushed the rest of it aside as the hammer continued falling, brutalizing the mans corpse as the hammer wielder tried to get rid of the rage inside of him. Seeing him start to pace Drath reached up and slowly slid his sword back into its sheath on his back, as he started walking toward him slowly and carefully. He stopped only a few feet from where he paced and he spoke in a voice soft, but firm, asking questions that he expected answers to, firing them all at once. “Who are you? What are you? Who made you how you are? Why do you hate SOLDIER?” as he finished the last of them, he crossed his arms across his chest and waited, to see if he would get any answers. |

As Drathmar walked towards him Leon clenched his hands into fists causing his knuckled to crack and stopped pacing. He stared at the man with cold fury, debating for a moment with what little consciousness he had if he should attack this man too. In the end though he stood still and listened to what the man had to say. He could barely remember the details the man asked of him, but even if it was just barely, he remembered......and.......he could sum it up in one word."AVVVAAALANCHE" He said slowly his voice climbing in pitch as he drew the word out. Disregarding the man now that he hadn't said more and the Soldier was dead he walked over to his hammer and retrieved it carrying it loosely in one hand but he didn't attack Drath. Instead he moved back over to the girls corpse and crouched down beside it looking down at her, his dark eyes distorting the solemn expression that crossed his features. He ran his hand lightly over the girls face again before moving suddenly and swinging the hammer out causing it to connect violently with a trash can which tipped and began rolling away from him. His face contorted in rage again he walked over to the Soldier's body once more and picked up the dead mans weapons, taking a moment to aim he swung his right arm out pointing the handgun at the corpses face before pulling the trigger, he didn't care if the gunshots where heard, that is if he even knew enough to worry about it in the first place. He shot the man in the head until it was completely beyond recognition before emptying the remaining bullets into the mans chest. When the gun clicked empty he threw it at the body before storming away still angry. Despite the fact he mangled the corpse he was still angry, rage still ran through his veins making him want to kill again and again, anyone who crossed his path. Instead he walked back to the dead girl and sat down besides her setting his hammer aside. He sat cross legged and unmoving as he stared down at the dead girl, sorrow and envy mixing across his features. If he'd had anything of his old self left he'd have been sure he was going to burn in hell................... |

He paused as he saw the man clench his fists and stare at him with a fury, his hand tightening as he thought that it might come to blows. He knew he would have no problems with the being but he did not wish to hurt him if he did not have to. Not only did he hate Shinra almost as much as he did, but he seemed to have problems of his own to worry about without Drath hurting him. Moreover, he had fed not that long ago so he was not being driven to attack by his hunger. When he spoke that one long drawn out word Drathmar slowly frowned as he wondered which question it was an answer to. Then, thinking back, it seemed weird the way the man had only said one word, only forming a full sentence once in the full depths of his rage. He wondered if the being could not talk well, or if it was just so mindless that it couldn’t think to form the words. It would make sense from what he had seen so far, it attacking the first man, then forgetting about him to go after the SOLDIER, then once the SOLDIER was dead forgetting him for the girl, but never speaking and the way he laughed sometimes. It was as if his mind had gone soft. He wondered if he meant that Avalanche had made him that way. Drath had heard rumors of the group and its destruction but had not paid them much mind. If they did things like make people into this though, it was a good thing they were gone. He watched as the, he was now convinced retarded, man went over to kneel next to the girl again. He watched with a bit of sympathy as the man seemed to lean over her, the memory of him standing over his brother’s body in the same way coming into his head and he felt a deep sadness. For once, he did not shove the newfound emotion away, but let it come, as it seemed appropriate to the situation. At least it seemed so until the simple man seemed to fly into a rage again. Drath quickly stepped away from him as the trashcan went flying by him and he raised his hand to his sword, preparing to defend himself. It was not him the man went after however but the SOLDIER on the ground again, quickly picking up the dead man’s guns. Drath cursed as he saw what was about to happen. He figured the original gunshots had already been heard and reported, and with these going off it would lead anyone else Shinra had sent directly to them. He stepped forward to stop the man but it was too late as the guns went off, unloading into the corpse. As the guns dropped and the man went back to the girl Drath quickly looked around, his left hand reaching under his back and pulling the sheath of the sword of his back, letting it slide down his hand until it was holding it near where the hilt of the sword with the shining yellow materia was, incase he needed it. Even as he did he walked over to the man kneeling and reached out to place a hand on his shoulder, as he listened for approaching footsteps, cursing a bit as he thought he heard some coming their way. “Damnit! Come on, we need to go!” Normally he would stay and fight whoever had been sent to deal with them but he didn’t know how well the man would hold up after the first fight and if there were enough of them he might not even be able to win, let alone protect the man. It was strange too, that thought, that he wanted to protect the simple man from dying. Maybe he was feeling a strange sort of kinship due to the rage against Shinra. |

Leon stayed sitting by the girls body, simply staring until Drath put a hand on hid shoulder and spoke. He glared at the corner the first Soldier had come around and remained fixated on it for a moment before speaking." I wont Run.I was made for this." He said speaking the longest sentence he'd spoken since becoming a raven. However for some strange reason as he bent to grab his hammer Leon felt incredibly clear headed. Not as much as he had been as a normal person, not even half that really, but much more focused then when he had ever been as one of Fuhito's monsters. As the sounds of the approaching Shin-Ra employees grew louder Leon began to feel better and better. His hatred grew but only a malicious grin showed on his face and after a moment he began to laugh. It was different from before, no longer a twisted crazed cackle like before, but now instead a dark mirthless chuckle that preceded the deaths he knew were about to come. They would try to kill him, all of them would try. He doubted any would succeed. As the footsteps finally neared the corner Leon hid around it, waiting just out of sight. As the first man ran down the intersecting streets the spike of Leon's hammer popped out and struck him in the face smashing through his helmet and killing him instantly. A moment later there were shouts and the rest of the group saw the Sentry fall. Only a few seconds later they too rounded the corner before trying to surround him. Leon stared at each of the members pointing at each one as he counted. He counted five Sentry including the one he had killed, and a SOLDIER, A man with a broad longsword. He grinned again anticipating the deaths about to come at his hand.Hefting his hammer he started toward one of the uniformed Sentry and ignoring the other apparently genderless members and the SOLDIER. He had taken three steps forward when he heard the sound of gunshots and the impacts of bullets hitting him in the legs.... Edited by Haine, Sep 15 2009, 03:26 PM.

He sighed as the man said he would not run from them, and that he was made for this. He slowly nodded, though he gave him a strange stare at the same time, as he had actually sounded almost normal for once. “Fine, just don't get yourself killed.” he said softly as he moved, shifting to face the corner that the SOLDIER had come from, though as he listened it sounded like there were footsteps coming from further down the street as well. Sighing softly he closed his eyes for a moment, preparing himself for the battle, feeling the rage inside of him and he accepted it, used it to fuel himself, but kept a tight hold on it at the same time. His left hand reached up and pulled the sheath of his sword off of his back, pushing back the black trench coat he wore as he did so, revealing the black shirt underneath and the leather strap going diagonally across his chest that held the sheath and sword on his back, a silver ring right over his sternum. It also revealed the silver star over his heart on the shirt and a black leather belt holding up the pants around his waist. He quickly brought the sheath down and held at his left side with the blade pointing back as he twisted the right side of his body over it, and grasped the hilt with his hand. His plan was to quickly ascertain the strongest of the first group that came around the corner, and kill him with a single blow. As the group came around the corner he saw the man in waiting for them and he nodded slightly, watching as he took out the first of the sentries to come around, noticing from the uniform that that was what it was immediately. Shouting started, and the rest of the group came around and surrounded the other man seeming to ignore him completely. A small smirk came over his face then as he could almost taste the life force of these men, and he was looking forward to killing them, to destroying them. His eyes immediately fell on the Soldier that was with the group, and he made his move. Darkness sprung up around him, a black aura that seemed to surround both him and his blade with dark energy as he drew deeply on that well of power that was inside of him, and he felt the dark energy coursing through him, sending shivers of pain wracking through his body even as it empowered him. More of it gathered in his blade that was inside the sheath, readying it for the moment of the draw. He sprung at the soldier, leaping straight at him, his sword being pulled violently from his sheath, darkness floating through the air in its wake as it slashed the soldier from his left hip to his right soldier, the tip of the blade ripping through flesh and clothing, and behind it, a blade of pure black energy followed, finishing the job of splitting the man in half and killing him instantly. However, that still left four sentries left alive, firing at the other man, and at that moment, another group of them, five more with a Soldier leader, came around the corner on the opposite end of the street. Without a second glance at the other four sentries he ran from their midst, his hand quickly shoving his sword back in his sheath. Darkness once more sprang up around him as he charged this second group, about to pull the same move again, then kill the rest... |

Leon fell to his knees as the bullets impacted him and grinned visciously as he sank to the ground. A moment later he used his hammer to push himself up. He couldn't do this much longer. His blood coated the street and although the Soldier had fallen and the Sentry seemed unsure of what to do to their apparently invincible foe , a few more fatal shots and he'd be dead for real. Pushing himself up he sprinted and threw himself on the nearest Sentry, making it impssible for there partners to get a clear shot. As the Sentry fell beneath him there head impacted the concrete and there helmet flew off. Leon just stared at the woman beneath him as she panicked and tried to push him away. She drew a handgun and pointed it at his head. He reached for her as if to grab her, but instead he grabbed the handgun, lowering it so it pointed towards his ribs and grunting as a bullet went through his side causing warm blood to drip down on the unfortunate member of Shin-Ra. He wrenched the gun away from the girl and glared at her with his black eyes. "Run" He told her as he pushed hmself up. The girl stared at him dumbfounded for a moment before running away as fast as she could. He turned back to the other Sentry with the gun in hand and pointed it at himself pulling the trigger several times before dropping it and shuddering as more blood ran from his damaged side. His uniform was ruined. The black coat soaked with blood and filled with holes, and the pants almost cut off at the knee from the number of bullet holes. Still bleeding a bit he walked towards the other Sentry members who looked at each other as if debating what to do. There minds were made up as Leon lifted his hammer towards the corpse he had mangled earlier. "Run." He told them he black eyes seeming empty as he let the Sentry go........... |

He slammed into the lead soldier of the second group, his dark blade seeming to cast a shadow over the daylight as it slashed across the Soldiers chest, the bark blade that followed completely cutting him in twain. The fall of the man leading their group gave the sentries pause, and he stared at them for a moment before they all tried to rush him at once. He quickly jumped in among them and flicked his wrist as he spun around, swinging his blade up and then down diagonally as he spun creating a black metal snake of death that slashed through the four of them as they closed in on him, unable to stop themselves in time. As he stopped he looked at them, his body shuddering from the infusion of life force, pleasure bursting through him, two of them having their faces slashed off and fell to the ground, sure to bleed out soon. One had a long slash across their chest, with guts and blood spilling from them as they fell to their knees, no longer a threat and pretty much a breathing corpse at this point. The last of them just had the shoulder of his off arm slashed and was raising the gun in his other hand at Drath. Drath quickly move as the man fired, the bullet whizzed through the air and slammed into his shoulder, piercing it. Pulses of pain flashed through his body emanating from the point of impact and causing him to grit his teeth, the pain causing the rage in him to rise further, almost breaking him out of control. He quickly leaped at the last sentry and slashed at his side, cutting him in two at the waist with that single slash. He shuddered again, his eyes closing for a moment as he felt the pleasure rush through him, and the pain recede under the healing influence of the life force rushing into him. With a final shudder, he turned and glanced behind him to see how the other man was doing, and he frowned as he saw him standing there with his hammer and could see the sentries who had been facing him running off the other way. He debated going after them, taking a step forward to do so, but shook his head as his curiosity got the better of his now sated hunger and rage as he looked to the man. He shook his head a bit and spoke in soft but harsh voice. “You should have killed them.” |

Leon truned towards Drath and saw the men he had slaughtered. The joy and mirth he'd had when he fought the Sentry gone and his anger finally fading he stared at the dead Sentry quietly. " Could have." He replied to the other man.Leon didn't know why, but his hate for Sentry didn't extend anywhere near the bounds he had for SOLDIER. H actualy felt regret for his first time as a ravven that he had killed someone. For no apparent reason he walked over to the Sentry he had killed and removed there helmet. It was a boy, not much older than him and he stared into the boys empty eyes his own unblinking ones seeming just as lifeless. After a few moments he stood and threw the helmet down by the boy before walking over to Drathmar. He paced back and forth , his hammer ready as he looked Drathmar over again, blood coating the street with every step he took. He was a mess and it would be obvious to any fool he'd been in a fight. Blood coated his clothing, weighing what was left of the bullet ridden garments and stuck to his hair and any of his exposed skin. His boots left bloody prints with every step he took. He looked at Drathmar with as much curiousity as his twisted mind allowed him. The man was'nt a raven......but he killed SOLDIER's. He didn't look like Avalanche........But he hated Shin-Ra As he mulled it over the question the man had asked him before sprang into his mind. "Who are you. What are you . Who made you. Why hate Shin-Ra" he hissed reapeating the bits he remembered from their ealier converesation , if you could call it that. Still pacing and holding his hammer at the ready Leon waited for the man to respond........... |

He looked at the man as he answered, a frown coming over his face he heard the answer. He seemed to be in some kind of funk, or as if he was regretting what had happened. He watched as he went over to the dead sentry and removed the helmet, staring for a while. He just looked at the boyish face and shrugged to himself, it really did not matter how old they were to him. All that mattered to him was that they worked for his enemy and therefore he would kill them without regret. Man, woman, or teenager, if they were a member of Shinra’s private army, they were his to kill. He went over to the sentries and Soldier from the group he had just finished killing, not minding the blood he stepped in from the soaked streets. He bent down, checking each of their pockets and pulling what money they had from them, stuffing it into the inside of his coat pocket as the man came closer to him and watched him. He was wary of the man of course, not letting his guard down but he did not let it stop him from taking the money and searching the bodies either. As he finally looked back up to him, he noticed him staring at him and pacing with the hammer grasped tightly, then heard him speak, repeating his earlier questions back at him. “I’m Drathmar, an Experiment made by Shinra, and I hate them because they made me into a monster.” He said as he stared at the man, wondering if he was going to attack him or if he was done now. Either way he knew they should not stay here. Sighing to himself for a moment, he turned and looked around before looking back at the man. “We need to go, you need to get cleaned up. You can follow or go your own way.” He said, turning and starting to walk down the street away from the scene of the crime, glancing back once to see if the man had decided to follow, was going to attack him, or had went his own way. It was clear as he glanced back that the man who, who he still thought was retarded, crazy, or both, was not going to attack or follow him. He frowned and paused for a moment as if he would stay and try to talk to him more. His eyes caught the sight of red blood soaking the street however, and the glanced at the bodies lying there and he sighed softly and shook his head. It would be better to leave before they sent more, sent enough people that even he would not be able to beat them. If the man wanted to stay and wait around for them, it was no business of his own. He quickly turned away from his, his trench coat flaring up behind him at the quick movement, only settling after he had taken a few steps away from the hammer wielder. His hand brought his sword up, and flipped it back around, point facing down, and he slammed it back into the sheath at his side, the metal sliding in with a rasp and a thunk as the hilt met the metal band around the top of the thick leather that cradles his black blade. This time his steps were quick as he walked away, his ice blue orbs not bothering to look back at the man and check on him. He was done with this encounter, it was clear he would not gain anything else from the man. As he reached the end of the street, he turned the corner and jumped up, grabbing the edge of a roof, and pulling himself up onto it with a grunt. From there, he just made his way back towards the sector where he made his home, traveling across rooftops as he could, and dropping down to the streets only when he had to, staying out of the sight of those around as much as possible.
