Apocalypse (Lv4)
Appearance: The appearance is very normal minus the constant black haze directly in front of the eyes. The haze is hidden when blinking, but visible when their eyes pen.

Background: Learning of the Promise Land and that Shin-Ra is searching for it, Fuhito tried to create a being who was able to seek it out before Shin-Ra and keep them from finding it. Countless of mind altering and genetic splicing experiments were done to many subjects, only a few survived and even fewer gained anything from it.

Using the knowledge at hand (At the time) Fuhito believed JENOVA was an ancient (Like most of those who had worked with the cells) and thought that if the cells of the Ancients were used, the Seekers could find the promised land. Instead, they were granted with strange abilities that could not be controlled by most.

Traits:

Shape Shifting
Description: Able to genetically alter the appearance of the user to any human form they can visualize. Cannot shape shift into animals or beasts.
Requirements: Seeker
Effect: Allows the user to change their physical appearance at any time.
Cost: None

Memory Reading
Description: By placing their hand on a person, the user can collect on the memories of their life. They cannot read their thoughts or predict their future actions, but they can look into everything that happened to the user before that moment if they are willing. If they are unwilling then it will become a mental battle.
Requirements: Seeker
Effect: Able to know of anything that happened in a target's previous threads. If they are unwilling they can resist if their spirit is higher than the users.
Cost: None

Blind
Description: Due to the effects of the experimentation, Seekers have obtained a permanent partial blindness. They cannot see anything outside of a few meters in front of them. Everything beyond that point is total darkness.
Requirements: Seeker
Effect: Permanently has blind ailment. Cannot be undone, cured or resisted. No Ability, Accessory or spell can undo this.
Cost: None

Unique Abilities:

Power of Vision
Description: After reading the memories of an individual, one is able to constantly tap into the connection they made with that persons mind. At any time, while meditating, the user can see what it is the target is seeing no matter where they are.
Requirements: 50 Spirit
Effect: Is able to see what a target is able to see no matter their location. Must meditate to do this. Cannot move, cast spells, attack or defend while doing this.
Cost: None

Art of Persuasion.
Description: A strong mind is one thing, but a strong conviction is another. One with a strong spirit can convince others they are right even if they are wrong. This charismatic attack can make anyone believe that the user is telling the truth and can convince anyone of anything if they are powerful enough. However, one cannot control another's actions, simply convince them of things to alter their emotions and mindset.
Requirements: 100 Spirit
Effect: Able to convince others of almost anything so long as the users spirit is higher than the targets (Intelligence + Spirit)/2
Cost: None

Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
Way to kirisame two of the more active PC Sephiclones. Then again, it is an AVALANCHE product.

Otherwise, this is good.

(Clarification: I use 'Kirisame' to mean 'shamelessly copy'.)

I'm going to need you to explain what this actually does. It not monitored it would allow you to God Mod, not that you would, as you could convince someone that their life is meaningless and to commit suicide. I don't like allowing any ability that gives direct control over another actions in the first place.

Getting too old for this shit.
The Memory Reading irks me ever so slightly, but this one is something that I simply and utterly despise.

It's used to convince others that the creature is correct. It cannot convince others to do actions.

Think of it like how Hitler convinced an entire country that Genocide would solve their problems. He didn't MAKE them do it, he simply used his charisma to make them believe it was the correct thing to do.

Also know that just because you believe in something does not mean you act on that belief. I believe that people should be able to choose to have abortions if they want, yet I don't act on that belief. I don't go rally people up nor join rallies for it (I don't even think there are).

EX: He can make you believe you're a worthless piece of crap. But that doesn't mean you'll do anything about it.

That makes me feel a lot better but then I have to ask, wouldn't that make the entire point of the ability worthless in the first place? If all it does is make someone thing a certain way, without them actually having to do anything about it, wouldn't that just take up an ability slot?

I believe this shall explain that even further.

The character's name is "Sól Invictus Nostradamus"

Type out the initials of that name and it'll all make sense to you.

I don't like anyone having the magical ability to govern how players Role-play the thoughts and emotions of their characters or how they act on them. It is god modding as far as I am concerned.

Seeing as it would be a character convincing them, it wouldn't be god modding. It involves his stats to persuade and your stats to defend it.

Your opinion is based on your desire to control every aspect of your character and not based on the fairness of the ability.

With your stance on it, you shouldn't agree with a character being able to be killed by another character since that effects everything about the character who died.

So you should oppose death matches entirely.

I know about your hate towards charismatic characters that can convince other characters to do things with their charisma. Sadly, these types of characters exist in all forms of rp's (Especially in Star Wars role plays).

Since it isn't an auto-hit, auto-convince or controlling of the character, but rather a mental battle to make trust ensured (A battle that has stats involved that can resist it) there is no reason to claim god modding outside of your own personal desire for complete control over your character.

Its rather funny Cloud as I had already noticed what it was you were saying before you said to read the initials. I thought Angel was supposed to become him though, is Geostigma going to be apart of whats going on in the next Sage =3?

...didn't Gal have an Uzumaki at NSL that had like 120 Charisma?

...just putting that out there. Food for thought.

Charisma amounts to nothing against absolute and ignorant stubbornness and you don't have to be strong willed to be stubborn. The only reason why so many people can be convinced to do the wrong thing is not because of someone being incredibly intelligent or charismatic. You convince people you are right by discovering their fears and desires and offering them salvation from their darkest fears for the price of their rights and freedoms. Your promises can be empty lies, but if you look and sound like you have all the answers to the common problems faced by many, then they will follow you.

I realized that Angel was never going to become full evil. He's too Chaotic Neutral. For me to make him full evil, he'd have to change his entire persona. He has too much honor and pride to be truly evil.

Where as my new character will simply believe themselves to be a God and that the world is their to shape.

Did you know that L's love donuts?
I actually think Art of Persuasion is rather fair. Even if he convinces someone of something the final choice is there's to make, they can act on it or leave it be. I see nothing wrong. The traits have a good balance and the abilities are fair also.

+1/4 to all.

Since I trust Cloud not to abuse it, and he stated it in such a way that it cant really be abused, approved.

Gracias. The most outragious thing he'll use it is to make people believe they are in love with it or make them believe they don't wish to cause it harm if they offer extreme opposition to it.
