Getting too old for this shit.
|
Name: Looper Appearance: Whatever appearance the person had before the infusion. Personality: No changes out of the ordinary. Anger and hatred toward those who proceeded with the experimenting may result. However, that’s to be expected from being forced to undergo such a painful and body-altering process. Background: Shinra scientists and doctors are always hard at work, employed by the devious and twisted Dr. Hojo to create for him the perfect little toy. Among recent projects is one that involves infusing humans with additional raw energy from the life stream itself. There were numerous deaths among live human test subjects. Most of the subjects were young developing children who, of all humans, were most susceptible to the life stream. Some survived, but many of the survivors died later from a new disease resulting from the experimentations. It was a disease that threatened the entire project until it was later realized that it only affected the test subjects. There were some eventual near-successes, but those few true survivors failed to meet the expectations of the project workers. The professional scientists and doctors hoped for a new brand of super humans and ended up with a defective product instead. Traits: Enhanced Life Description: An interesting side effect of the failed life stream infusion process that supplies the subject with additional life force energy. Requirements: Be a Looper Effect: Base HP receives a constant 10% boost. Cost: None Force Distribution Description: The measured physical aspects of many living people and various other creatures have been proven to determine the amount of life energy contained within their bodies. However, some possess more life energy than their bodies normally contain. The subject of this process somehow distributes whatever extra life force they possess among their physical aspects. Requirements: Be a Looper Effect: Each stat is boosted by an amount equal to one-seventh of the total boosts to base HP. Stat boosts provided by this trait do not affect HP. Cost: None Incurably Poisoned Description: The life stream infusion has irreversibly infected the subject with an incurable poison. Fortunately, it only affects the subject during moments of extreme duress. Requirements: Be a Looper Effect: HP lowers by 5% of its base amount per post during combat. The amount of damage received from this trait cannot be healed during combat. However, this damage naturally fills the limit gauge. This is not a status ailment and does not replace Poison. Cost: None Degraded Body Description: This is another unforeseen downside to the life stream infusion. The body of the subject reacted somewhat poorly to the process and has weakened noticeably. Requirements: Be a Looper Effect: A one time deduction of 30 from total stats, an amount also and naturally removed from HP. No stat can be less than 5. Cost: None Edited by Galileo, Sep 11 2009, 10:45 PM.

...this makes no sense whatsoever. Take a character with 150 HP. He's automatically lowered to 120 from the -30. Then he's boosted by 10%, bringing him to... 120/120 (132/132) And since he gets 1/7th of the boost to HP as stat boosts, each stat is increased by 1.7 (or by rounding up, increased by 2). Or would it be that stats are increased by 1.4%, since that is 1/7th of the 10% boost? |

I think the intent is as it's growing stronger, it's constant +10% will generate higher boosts to all stats. EX: At 700 HP it'd get a natural +10 to all stats. I also think it would work with HP+ as well. So I think the plan is to get tons of HP Boosting materia, items, etc. and put the trait to boost the stats to use. |

Here's how it works. 150-30=120 10% of 120=12 12/7=1.7 or 2 rounded HP: 120/120 (132/132 from Enhanced Life) MP: 30/30 (Force Distribution) Intelligence: 20 (22) Strength: 20 (22) Spirit: 15 (17) Endurance: 15 (17) Magic: 10 (12) Speed: 20 (22) Agility: 20 (22) Edited by Galileo, Sep 11 2009, 10:59 PM.

Oh, I see. Then you'd get an HP+ or some other Ability/Tech/Accessory that increases HP, thus getting bigger boosts. Interesting. |

I'm torn on it. But, because I'm torn I'll give a half approval. That way I wont regret it fully later since I wouldn't be the only one who was fine with it. >.>;; |
