Naturally it was cold. It was very cold. Jackie wasn't used to this kind of weather, in fact, if she didn't have a freezer she probably wouldn't have even known that ice could freeze. The Sunny days of Costa Del Sol certainly never suggested to her that such a cold place existed on the face of the planet. She carefully wrapped a white scarf around her throat and face...even so she already felt like the tip of her nose go numb. Today she was dressed how one might imagine a woman to dress in such a cold place: Warm. A thick coat covered her shoulders carefully and trailed down to her ankles, and a similarly thick pair of pants protected her legs. The pants tucked into her heavy duty snow boots. All of it was black, including the scarf. It was supposedly designed to absorb heat, but it bothered Jackie that she stuck out in the snow like a watermelon in a basket of grapes. She shivered softly in the cold and pressed her lips together as the snow blasted against her face once more. It was really obnoxious to be cold and warm at the same time. "THIS IS ONE BAD BLIZZARD!" She shouted over the screaming wind to herself mostly. "WHY DID SHINRA EVEN BOTHER SENDING SOMEONE OUT HERE?" A small snow pile burst and a person wearing all white clothing with clawed gauntlets dangling from his hips brushed the snow off of his shoulders as he rose. "IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE PRODUCTIVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BLIZZARD PASSED, BUT WE'RE REALLY PRESSED FOR TIME RIGHT NOW!" He shouted back at her. Jackie eyed him over...she still couldn't get over the ridiculous gas mask that he seemed to be wearing, but hey it must have been doing something because he didn't seem like he was cold after letting himself get covered in a snow bank. The two began to move through the snow like ghosts. Jackie was leaning against the wind with a gloved hand protecting her brow. when her cloak blew with the wind for an instant one could see her beloved SWORD rifle hanging across her back, protected from the weather underneath her coat. "HOW FAR ARE WE AWAY FROM RAVENSTOWER?" Jackie yelled over her shoulder to her companion. The man stood up straight and gazed into the blinding white that was before them. He nodded after a moment and then tilted his head towards her, "SEVEN MILES! GIVE OR TAKE A MILE." He started forward again, he was also walking against the wind. "WILL WE REALLY FIND HER HERE?" Jackie gave a shrug, not that her companion would be able to see such a thing. "WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO DAMN COLD HERE?! WE COULD HAVE TAKEN A HELICOPTER IF WE WEREN'T AFRAID THE BLADES WOULD FREEZE." |

Cold, freezing, frigid, but above all cold. Angeles hated it, hated being cold, and to top it all off snow that had melted on her had frozen onto her skin and hair. She growled in her throat slightly but kept her anger in check. Kurone moved long her skin, pushing up slightly to crack the ice and force it off. To anyone looking outside at Angeles, it would appear as if a very dark shadow was moving across her face. Those closer would think it was a tattoo of a kitten, moving across her face. What it actually was Angeles didn’t know, but it as definitely moving across her face, feeling like a gentle pinch wherever it went. Angles was grateful for it though, breaking the ice off of her so that she could keep her hands in her pockets. She had come to this artic land to hide, cause the last place someone would expect her to be was somewhere where she would be cold and wet, the two things in the world she hated most. Her silver hair thrashed in the blizzard collecting snow in its violent struggle with the wind and coming to a semblance of dread locks. This was unpleasant, but Angeles paid it no mind. She was bent on keeping her hands in her pockets. She definitely stood out in the world of white, wearing entirely black, with the black diamond blade on her back, the tip of which was submerged in the snow. She didn’t worry about it though. Diamond didn’t rust. Jade green serpentine eyes scanned the blizzard for any signs of shelter. Naturally there were none, as she could only see a couple yards in front of her. This was probably better than any human would be able to see, but it was still nothing, and therefore useless. She sighed, a puff of steam escaping from her mouth and quickly caught by the wind. She turned to face the wind and begin to walk into the storm. Her shoulders were hunched in a vain attempt to buffer herself against the wind. She saw that her wing would be absolutely useless here, so had not called upon it. Kurone had taken up rest, curling himself around her eye to resemble some gaudy tattoo of some sort but she ignored him. Then she heard voices on the wind and stopped. She froze for a bit before she heard them again. Whoever they were they weren’t trying to hide. Angeles leaned into the wind again and moved a little faster to catch up with however it was. It was difficult to say with the wind whistling past her ears, loudly due to the three earrings she wore. She looked up through squinted eyes to see two shapes moving through the snow. She ducked her head again and continued forward. She continued to walk until she was behind the one that was lagging behind and bent forward over their shoulder with a sly grin on her face. “Hey,” she said at normal voice level, but due to the wind would probably be heard at the same decibel as a whisper, “what are you doin’?” |

There was a...smile? Could you really call it a smile? It peered over the shoulders of the white wearing wandered with Jackie, and naturally he was freaked out. "JABUS!" He barked out from his lips and easily slipped his hands into the clawed gauntlets at his sides. He held them ready for a fight. "JACKIE! I THINK WE FOUND SOMEBODY!" The reverse was true actually. She had found them. Jackie turned around at the calls of her companion and braced herself against the wind as it now blew at her back. "FOUND SOMEONE?" Jackie walked over towards Angeles and Jackie's own companion whom was still nameless as far as Angeles was concerned. It was hard for Jackie to discern who it was through the snow, but she felt what you might call...an aura. It felt very calm and collected to the blue haired woman. "HEY! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?" Jackie's companion questioned Angeles. Jackie moved in a bit closer until she could see the Angel's face. It was one that she recognized...You don't forget the face of the person who saved your life...how could you? "HEY CISCO! ITS ANGELES!" She yelled into the storm with a lung full of air. The man now called, CISCO turned to Jackie glaring at her through his gas mask. "THE TURK? ARE YOU KIDDING?" Jackie eyed Cisco as he pulled out his cell and flipped it open, thinking to report their find. "YOU KNOW THATS NOT GOING TO WORK, THE WIRES ARE ALL FROZEN." Cisco nodded at his companion and flipped his phone away, stuffing it back into his coat. Jackie pulled down her scarf so Angeles could see her face. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE? TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF?" Jackie was truly ignorant of the happenings recently. To tell the truth she had been stationed here by Shinra for a while now, and was given very little information. Angeles certainly was a find, though she wasn't actually the person Jackie was looking for. "WE SHOULD PROBABLY TAKE HER WITH US JACKIE! SHINRA WILL WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS!" Jackie shook her head defensively, "I THOUGHT YOU SAID WE WERE PRESSED FOR TIME! WE'RE HERE FOR RAVENSTOWER NOT ANGELES!" Cisco looked back at Angeles a long moment before responding to Jackie, "JUST THE SAME, SHE LOOKS FROZEN SOLID, RAVENSTOWER IS THE CLOSEST PLACE ~ SHE PROBABLY SHOULD COME WITH US." Jackie looked back to the Sephiroth clone, knowing very well what Angeles was capable of. Jackie remembered a time when she had That silver hair locked in the sight of her sniper rifle. ' Stupid Helicopter...get out of my head, out out out out!' She furrowed her hair fiercely as she tried to rid herself of the memory. Flashes of the copter's blades hitting her over and over again ran through her mind. It wasn't so much the fact that she had been hit by the copter, but the stigma that had followed it afterwards. She had been given so much teasing about it that she had actually accepted this assignment to the glacier. "FORGET RAVENSTOWER, LETS JUST SET UP A SHELTER HERE." The young woman from the land of the sun wrapped the scarf around her face again and got to work. She and Cisco dug into the snow using the special tools that they had been provided with for survival in this harsh land. It didn't take too much long until they had carved a burrow out of the ice, while it wasn't exactly warm, it was much warmer and safer than it was outside. Jackie waved her arms invitingly for Angeles to step inside. Once inside, Cisco would block the entrance to the burrow with his back while Jackie pulled out a stick that resembled a glow stick, but when she broke the center and mixed the formula inside it turned into a heat rod. She placed it on the ground in the center of the burrow. "Dear gosh Angeles...you're all..frozen...err...you can use some of my extra clothes if you want..." |

Angeles listened to the people yell at one another in order to hear each other. One of them seemed to recognize her and called her by her name. Angeles lifted an eyebrow in confusion until the one pulled the scarf down and revealed herself to be Jackie. Angeles smiled at her, even though Jackie worked for Shinra, and her friend Cisco, as Angeles discovered his name was, seemed all for calling Shinra about their find. However, Angeles was completely unconcerned with the conversation so remained silent as she heard Jackie and Cisco screaming back and forth between each other before they began to dig into the snow. Angeles wanted to help but they seemed to be doing fine by themselves and in a matter of no time a shelter was dug. Angeles wondered to herself how there was enough snow to dig the shelter they had. However Jackie then waved her in and she shrugged and walked in. Jackie immediately began speaking as the shelter began to warm up. Angeles looked as the snow began to quickly melt on her clothes and hair and sighed slightly, “yeah frozen, soon though I’ll just be wet, but it’s no matter to me, besides, I'm taller and not as well endowed as you are.” she smiled at Jackie, “how have you been doing? And a little less important who is your friend so eager to turn me in?” Kurone pulled his head off of Angeles’ skin and mewed at Jackie Angeles reached up and pulled the rest of Kurone off and held him in her hand. “Sorry, Kurone, this is Jackie, a Soldier, but a friend. Jackie, this is Kurone, and evil spirit of darkness that really wanted to be a tattoo,” Angeles released Kurone and the kitten began to float up looking around at the shelter and then floated over and began to sniff at Jackie. Angeles took the time to look up at the Cisco and said, “and I wouldn’t really bother trying to turn me in to Shinra. I haven’t disabled the tracking device in the phone. If they want me badly enough, they’ll come get me,” Angeles looked back at Jackie as the kitten had decided to curl up in the young woman’s scarf, “now what is this I kept hearing about a raven?” |

Jackie busied herself with folding the little automated digger tool she had been given back at the base before she had been shipped out here to the cold. She slipped it onto the leg brace on her left leg, now visible since she had opened the buttons on her coat. Jackie pulled the scarf from her face and let it drop carelessly onto the ground. Then, and only after then, Jackie finally returned the smile to Angeles. 'Its nice to see her again.' Following Angeles's comment, Jackie critically studied and compared their breast sizes...Jackie had always had small assets even if she was a bit curvy, but Angeles...well this is actually the first time Jackie actually looked at another woman's chest without jealousy. The thought made her cheeks a bit warm. "I've been doing alright, I decided to accept an assignment out here after some freak scientist guy slipped an aphrodasiac into my water bottle." Jackie shivered, but it was not because of the cold. "That retard started harassing me after I saved his ass from an attack on a mako reactor." Jackie shook her head at the memory. Whenever she had a bad memory they always plagued her like some kind of...thing...tormenting her in the depths of her mind. She tried to keep a cool collected face while mentally...'Out, out, out!' Cisco who had been silent while Jackie spoke, now decided to take the liberty of introducing himself. "My name is Cisco, SOLDIER 3rd Class. It is nice to meet you miss Angeles. She's your...umm..friend Jackie?" "Yeah, she pulled me out of the Helicopter wreckage back during the whole Daze Fiascon." Cisco furrowed his brows thoughtfully. "I see." he said in response. Jackie's eyebrows raised when she saw the tattoo move. "Eagh!" She cringed a bit at first, but that was only because she was surprised. "Err...evil spirit you say?" Jackie watched the little...creature? sniff her. She sniffed it back just to be silly. She continued to watch the little spirit curiously as it floated about the shelter and then finally nuzzled into her scarf. "It is kind of...cute." She raised her hand and thought about petting it, but then decided that she didn't want to pet an evil spirit of darkness. It might not have been a good idea. While Angeles addressed Cisco, Jackie went ahead and pulled out her rifle and began to examine it. Anyone who knew Jackie really well knew that she loved her guns. It was almost to the point of a nervous obsession. Cisco shook his head at Jackie before before responding to Angeles. "That's fine and dandy, but I personally think that anyone with silver hair needs to be reported. Two of my brothers were in Sentry. Both killed by silver haired freaks like they were mooks. Whatever, you don't have to worry about me, Jackie is my partner and I trust her enough to trust you." At the mention of 'raven' Jackie turned away from the weird thing that was nestling her scarf and looked back at Angeles. "Me and Cisco are headed towards Ravenstower, Seven Miles...that way." Jackie pointed at a wall to her right. "Whatever direction that way is..anyways." She shrugged the thought off. "Pretty basic mission: Search and Rescue kinda deal." Ravenstower was a more recent establishment, founded by Eric Ravenstower, it has become a refuge of the lawless. Prostitution..gambling...drugs...you name it, they have it. They also had a gladiatorial arena where they drugged chocobos up and made them fight. In a sense it is similar to Gold Saucer, but with all your dreams...nightmares...and any other sick fantasies you could think of...come true. "Supposedly they are holding some goofball woman that Shinra wants back. Pffft. They only care about their little scientists." |

Angeles nodded to Cisco and watched Jackie’s reaction to Kurone and chuckled slightly, “he’s harmless,” she said, “you can pet him. He has fur for some reason, and he can pretty much turn into whatever you want. He’s made of darkness, not evil, kind of like me,” she said looking back at Cisco, “I’m a copy, not a freak, and I assure you I’m in control of myself, as long as no one attempts to bring me back in to Shinra for any reason.” Angeles reached forward and let a hand on Jackie’s shoulder, “Shinra is obsessed with its science department but I have a question this scientist that tried to harass you is he dead yet or can I kill him?” she walked over and snatched Kurone from the scarf and held him up to her face, “stop being annoying and maybe turn into something useful?” She dropped Kurone who stayed floating in midair and shook himself off. He mewed and began floating around aimlessly as Angeles turned to Jackie, “rescue mission hm?” she asked as she moved some of her hair from her face, which due to it being wet was sticking to her skin. That was annoying, but she would have to live with it until it dried, “I don’t suppose you would need any help?” |

She still didn't want to pet the spirit of darkness after what Angeles had told her, but her hand slowly moved on its own until it petted the little Kurone. "Hee." Jackie relaxed considerably and petted the creature more openly. Cisco nodded, "That's fine. I'm not a crusader, I just do my job. I simply figured that since you were a turk that Shinra might have wanted a tip." Cisco let his eyes wander over the turk's wet form. "Though...I do have to wonder how you managed to get all soaked like that in the middle of the snow. I live here so I can take the cold like no other...but taking a dip in the artic probably isn't a good idea for anyone." Jackie nodded to herself that she should probably get a kurone too...just so she could use it to clean her gun... 'I bet it can squeeze into the barrel and deep clun the the grooves. Maybe I'll save up for one after I get a G-bike.' "Where did you even find this thing?" Jackie questioned, concerning the Kurone. "She got it while trick or treating." Suggested Cisco, a lame attempt at a joke in Jackie's opinion. "Do you think anyone would be bothered if I handed out bullets .50 caliber bullets instead of candy? I have a lot of those and I don't even need them." Cisco shook his head, "You'd have a lot of angry parents no doubt." Jackie shrugged. "pffft, no, he's not dead yet." Jackie replied to Angeles as she began to dismantle her gun, she started by pulling the bolt out of the barrel so she could clean the barrel better. "The last thing I want is a demerit for misconduct." Jackie unfolded a stick and slipped a little bit of cloth through the eye at the tip and stuffed it down the barrel of the gun. "You clean that thing five times a day even in this blasted snow." Cisco complained, rolling his eyes at Jackie. "Pffft. what about your chocobo racing collectors cards? Aren't those for children? I don't complain about your hobby, so you should just shut up about mine." She stung back at Cisco. "Hey, those cards are valuable." Cisco argued. Jackie gave him a skeptical look before responding with, "My gun is one of five created by Markus Sword, deceased. I'll show you why I take such good care of it once we get to Ravenstower." Cisco nodded absently. "But yeah..." Jackie looked up quickly at Angeles to let her know that she was addressing the other woman. "We're heading into...well we don't even really know whats over there, so I guess some company wouldn't be all that bad." Jackie pulled out the stick from the barrel and dipped the corner into some gun oil before jamming it back into the gun. "Shinra likes to follow the 'Sorting Algorithm of Evil', well... I admit I can't really say I see Shinra as evil like everyone else, but they follow it to a 'T'. They send the weakest guys to deal with a probably and if that doesn't work...the next strongest and so forth. Kinda BS in my opinion." Jackie Shrugged to herself and continued to clean out hte inside of her barrel. |

Angles watched as Jackie began to pet Kurone and then became completely entranced by him. Kurone appreciated the petting and showed it by meowing. Angeles then turned her gaze to Cisco as he began speaking again. She cocked an eyebrow but said nothing more about the idea of turning her in. She instead looked down and spread her arms slightly seeing that she was not quite soaked but was well wet, “I get like this by dressing like this in the middle of a blizzard and then coming into an area where its warm enough to melt all the snow.” Angeles turned to look at Jackie as she began speaking to her again as she cleaned her gun. Cisco and Jackie had a short discussion about hobbies and Angeles scooped Kurone up and slapped him against the skin of her neck, forcing him to fuse there. That didn’t mean that he would stay there as he began to move down her neck and across her collarbone. Angeles made up her mind to kill the scientist and began to look around for a place to sit. Finding none she kept standing. “I’m one of the people that thinks Shinra is evil,” Angeles murmured slightly, “but I’ll be glad to help you on your mission. I’ve got nothing better to do while I’m ‘in hiding.’ If this is indeed following the algorithm then they should not have to send anyone else to this problem,” Angeles made an uncomfortable noise and grabbed the end of Kurone’s tail as he began to move down her shirt. She pulled him off her skin and out of her shirt, “if you’re going to be annoying at least be helpful and help Jackie with her gun.” “Jackie!” called the spirit and floated over to the young woman. He seemed to fold in on himself several times until he was very small, and waited for instructions from the young woman on what to do to help. |

"Well...Shinra was also how I escaped the Whore house back at Costa del Sol." Jackie began to explain her back story to Angeles. "My mother Worked at that bordello, so I don't even know who my real father was, but Mr. Jalapeno considered me his daughter." The memories weren't so painful anymore to Jackie...maybe that was because she found Solace in cleaning this gun...over..and over...Maybe the true reason she cleaned these guns was because thats what she wanted to do with some of these memories...just wash them away. "Well, once I hit puberty, Mr. Jalapeno put me to work. I lived off tips for a while until I decided to save up." Jackie recalled Jalapeno getting angry at her because she was so skinny. ' "My customers want curves not lines, Why haven't you been eating? Aren't they tipping you enough?" Jackie pressed her lips together as she looked at Mr. Jalapeno. He was balding and tanned, and clearly well fed. She didn't want to admit that she was saving her money... "I want to go to Midgar." she told the man. "So...I've been saving my tips." Jalapeno shook his head as if that was nonsense. "If you wanted to go why didn't you say so? Go get yourself some food with your tip money and I'll pay for the trip." It was her turn to shake her head as if that was nonsense........' Jackie pulled the stick out of the barrel of the gun and took the cloth at the end and poured some gun oil onto it. "Mr. Jalapeno fed me and kept a house over my head, but once I turned sixteen and still had a flat chest he paid for the rest of my fee. He probably figured that I wouldn't make that much money with a flat chest." Jackie shrugged. "For my first mission I killed him." Jackie stared somewhere slightly over Angeles's left shoulder as if she was watching the memory happen again. Even if Mr. Jalapeno hadn't been truly kind, he was the closest thing to a father figure she had ever had. She did have to fight back tears. "Oh! Thank you for the offer." Jackie told Kurone and Angeles, "I don't think you'd like to smell like gun oil all day: As it is...its kinda like my perfume. Haha." Jackie shoved the stick down the barrel again and made sure she was covering all of the grooves. After words she pulled the stick out folded it, pulled the cloth out and put both objects away. Jackie pulled out a larger cloth and placed it over the gun oil vial she had and tipped it over so that the cloth caught it all before turning it right side up again. The smell of gun was very strong. It sort of stung Jackie's nose, but she loved the smell. She didn't know why she took such...consolation... in the smell the oil gave. "See? This is why I wear a gas mask. Practically no circulation and she fills up the burrow with gun oil smell." Cisco complained, the man let a small crack between his back and the entrance form. "I'm creating some ventilation in here, I hope you don't mind." The Chilling cold felt like it was sucking out all the warm air of the burrow they had dug out, and from the sound of it the Blizzard was still going strong. Jackie just stuck her tongue out at Cisco. She ran her cloth up and down the length of the gun before wiping off the inside part of the bolt. She folded the cloth and tucked it away too. The Female SOLDIER popped the bolt back into the rifle and pulled the bolt back. Click. She lifted the gun up and pulled the trigger. Another Click. She popped the bolt open and tossed in a Bahamut V.2 into the chamber before sliding the bolt shut. The Next sound the rifle would make was 'bang'. "I wonder if the gun even needs oil if its this cold out here..." Jackie pondered to herself. "I'd like to think that the oil would only serve to freeze and make the thing jam, but its oil...so it has a pretty decent freezing point I gather." After Cisco felt that the smell of gun oil had left the burrow to a decent level he sealed the entrance to the burrow fully again, stopping the cold air from seeping in. "There we go. Even with this mask on, I can't take that scent in when its too strong." Cisco shook his head, "Anyways, it seems like we don't really want to make a move until the Blizzard Clears up. If it were just me and Jackie we probably could have continued, but you aren't dressed for extreme colds. Plus, you're wet. I'd really like to offer you some clothes, maybe not Jackie since she is so short, but I imagine mine could fit you pretty good. Well I really want to offer you some, but my clothes are all dirty." Jackie bonked him on the head, "Like a woman would ever want to wear stinky man clothes anyways. He is right about one thing though: lets wait until this blizzard dies down before we set off." |

Angeles listened to Jackie speak and nodded. Shinra may have saved her, but now it was using her. She thought Jackie smarter than to not notice it. But as the young woman began explaining, Angeles wondered if Jackie did notice, but didn’t care, figuring that it was the best way to repay the company for what they had done. Angeles however caught the sad gleam in the young woman’s eye as she stared off at nothing. All sorrow seemed to be dispelled however as she realized Kurone was offering to help her. Angeles looked over at Cisco as he spoke and move towards the shelter door. Angeles realized what was coming and moved quickly to the warmest spot of the shelter, glaring at Cisco slightly. She had just begun enjoying being warm. “I don’t know much about guns,” said Angeles, glaring at the door as if she could will it closed with her mind, “I was always a sword user, even before I was a Turk. Tseng was more of a gun user,” Angeles reached down and pulled the handgun from its holster on her belt, “this was his, I stole it from his office when I was collecting information on the Nibelheim incident,” Angeles spared a glance at Cisco as he shut the door and commented on the smell. Angeles had a keen sense of smell, better than any human she had ever met, and she would have withstood the gun oil scent to the cold any day. “I may not be appropriately dressed for the cold,” said Angeles looking at him, “but I’ve been here for the greater part of two weeks without shelter. I can stand it well enough,” Angeles glanced over as Kurone began to rub himself against Jackie’s gun, as a cat would, except where his fur brushed against became polished. “Kurone I’m not sure she wants you to do that,” she said but Kurone seemed to ignore her and began to purr. Angeles sighed and turned her attention to Cisco again and continued, “besides, if you’re hellbent on going to this thing today and finishing it,” Angeles spread her wing, slowly so as not to damage the shelter, “I can fly above the storm. This won’t be very beneficial to you two as I won’t be able to scout through the clouds or whatnot, but I won’t be slowing you down at all. And Jackie,” Angeles said, turning and smiling at the girl, “even when I was human I was rather androgynous, wearing boy clothes was a normal occurrence for me when I was not in uniform, and let’s face it, the Turk uniform was obviously designed for men.” |

Angeles was something else. The woman was a turk, and though Jackie had once met Reno inside of a helicopter, turks weren't exactly people you got to hang around with on a daily basis. Jackie shrugged at Angeles's comment about guns, she even decided to add, "Yeah...mostly its only SENTRY that uses guns in Shin-ra. Not only am I practically the only girl in SOLDIER, but the only one using a gun too." Jackie examined Tseng's gun. It was a handgun, so naturally Jackie was inclined to disregard its firepower. She was picky about guns herself. She would only use guns made by Markus Sword. This third Class SOLDIER wouldn't hound her friend much on how great Markus Sword's gun was in comparison to that hand gun...It was probably useful in its own right. "Who is Tseng?" Jackie actually didn't know much about the turks anyways. She might have been In SOLDIER for a good while now, but she was still a very low rank and didn't have much knowledge about...well just about anything. Its not like Shin-ra was party to tell its lowest ranking members all of its darkest secrets or anything like that. "Is he a turk too?" Then again...the TURKS are supposed to be a special operative organization, even if they are supposedly the talent search group for SOLDIER. Jackie had met a TURK when she joined SOLDIER, but not Tseng...or maybe she had met Tseng..? She couldn't remember the name of the person that inducted her into the program. Maybe it was because Mostly, Mr. Jalapeno paid her way into SOLDIER. So she should have been grateful to that man for at least hat much. Cisco shrugged at Jackie, "Tseng? He's probably a turk." Jackie rolled her eyes, well of course she knew Tseng would be a turk, because they were talking about turks, well kind of. "Bleh, you're just another giant sword wielding loser, what do you know?" She teased Cisco. Cisco shrugged, "I know this land pretty well for starters, and my sword isn't that big." That was an understatment. Cisco had the biggest sword Jackie had ever seen. Not only was it as thick width wise as he was, but it was twice his height. It was so big that it needed to be folded several times before he could reasonably carrying it around without killing someone. "Not that big." Jackie shook her head at the other SOLDIER as she gently prodded Kurone away from her gun. "Yes...that's okay." She was telling the little creature. "Aww...look he's all fuzzy and cuddly." She cuddled Kurone to her cheek...maybe she was squeezing a bit hard? But she couldn't help it. Maybe it was the girlish nature in her that made her attracted to cute things. "The tough 3rd Class SOLDIER crumbles for a cute fuzzy floaty." Cisco commented, hitting Jackie's feelings on the head. She looked up at him with a glare, "Pffft." She blew the other SOLDIER off like his entire comment didn't matter, but it clearly did because she stopped cuddling Kurone and let it go. She took a sigh before deciding it was time for the group to make up their minds about what they wanted to do. "Well, if we leave right now ~ Sure we'll get their sooner...but well...I mean...we could probably use Angeles for a scout." If Jackie hadn't seen Angeles fly with that one wing before, she probably wouldn't believe that she could fly. A single wing flying doesn't really make sense, but somehow it happens. Cisco nodded to Jackie, "Its not like we're assualting a fortress though. Ravenstower is just a house of sin, I'm sure the gates of hell are wide open for anyone who wants to partake." Jackie gave a wiry smile, "You're probably right..." Cisco scratched the back of his head, "Our priority once we arrive should probably be to find out where the scientist is. I doubt that Erik Ravenstower is feeling like bargaining, and I'd rather not leave a nice young woman to her fate in such a place." Jackie had enough experience with this kind of place where she didn't have to try very hard to imagine what they would do to the scientist. "Okay then. So we'll continue through this blizzard and arrive as soon as possible." Cisco nodded at Jackie and then turned to Angeles, "Be careful." He warned her. "Okay lets go." Cisco was the first to exit. He returned to the wailing winds of the blizzard and began to march forward. Jackie picked up the heat stick that she had dropped earlier and handed it to Angeles. She had a shy smile on her face. Afterwards Jackie grabbed her scarf, wrapped it around her neck and face and pressed out into the snow as well. |

Kurone mewed happily as Jackie began to cuddle with him and Angeles smiled a bit, “Tseng is a Turk,” she answered, slipping the gun back into the holster, “the leader of the Turks to be exact,” Angeles then remained silent as they began making their plans. Kurone mewed sadly when Jackie let him go and continued to try to rub against her chin, purring encouragingly, trying to be petted again. Angeles walked forward and snatched him from the air. And put him against her wrist. He fused with it and crawled up her arm to come to rest on her shoulder. Angeles then accepted the heat rod as the two Soldiers began their trek outwards. Angeles slid the heat rod unceremoniously into her shirt to keep her center warm. She exited the building after the two of them and spread her wing. The blizzard caught on her feathers and tried to blow her away but she spread her feet and braced herself against the wind. She had a heat stick, this storm would no longer bother her as long as it was working. Her sharp eyes caught the two figures disappearing into the blizzard and she lifted from the ground and flew to Jackie’s side, catching her shoulder, “you left before I could tell you. I can probably get into the inside,” Angeles demonstrated by changing her hair black and her eyes brown, “I can infiltrate and find the scientist while you create a distraction, or I can create a distraction and you can find her, which ever you think will be best.” She felt Kurone move to the center of her chest to the heat stick. She wasn’t sure why, not entirely sure that the creature could feel warmth or cold. But then again, she had also assumed that it couldn’t eat, or speak, or think intelligently, or change its shape, all things that were proven it could do, so perhaps it also felt warmth and frigid temperatures. However as she thought about this she reached down her shirt and pulled Kurone off her skin and out of her shirt, “if you choose to go after the scientist yourself, take Kurone as a guide, he’ll protect you, though he can’t really do much, and he can lead you to where she is. He understands more about this world than I can even comprehend, he will find her. Tell me what you want done.” |

It was back to the winds beating against their faces. Jackie didn't think she could see Angeles even if she did turn around to look...besides, the woman was supposed to be flying above the blizzard. Somehow. Things looked much the same in the snowy land here. Snow...Snow...More snow. Cisco however, seemed to know exactly where he was going. Jackie just figured that she would follow behind the man until they reached their destination. It wasn't a very pleasant trip by ground, but then again, it must have not been very pleasant above the storm either. Fortunately Jackie was dressed for this kind of weather, so aside from the fierce wind biting at her ears it wasn't that big of a deal to her. "WE'LL BE THERE IN AN HOUR OR SO!" Cisco was yelling over his shoulder to Jackie. She nodded absently and continued walking... Walking...and walking... It would be terrible to actually arrive at this place, because Jackie knew she was going to be really tired when they got there. 'I don't know if I'll be much help once we arrive. Walking so many miles in a blizzard probably wasn't a good idea after all.' But this was were the question arose... Jackie had been walking for miles yesterday as well...through even worse weather. Why was she so exhausted from this much? Jackie was begining to think that there was something wrong with her, and quite possibly she was going to check into the clinic after she got back to the base. "HERE WE ARE!" Cisco announced at last. This was Ravenstower, a large fortification standing out against the snow. This place almost seemed mystical as through its gates it was warm...Ravens littered the place like garbage. They sat everywhere and were completely unphased that people were so close to them. Jackie couldn't help but eye them curiously. "Okay. So we're here." Jackie said, she was slightly out of breath but was trying her best not to show as much. She of course was going to let Cisco take the lead like he naturally was right now. She didn't even think she could come up with a reasonable plan with how foggy her thoughts were from being tired. "Okay...Where's Angeles?" Cisco asked looking around. Jackie simply shrugged, It was a little warm here...it must have been some serious materia put into use for this place to be so hot outside. "Odd..." Jackie muttered stripping off her heavy coat. Cisco did much the same, revealing his monstrous weapon. He unfolded it so that its full length was revealed. He settled it upon his shoulders. "Okay. I'm better as a distraction. I'll take on the guards while you ladies go ahead and take care of the Scientist." Jackie gave him a look, and he chuckled, "Hah, don't worry about me, I'm a grown man. I can take care of myself." He marched inside of Ravenstower determined to cause trouble, and no doubt he would find it without trying hard. The inside of this fortress was...sinful to say the least. Vulgar images covered the walls and from cages hanging off of the ceiling were women hardly clothed dancing. There were tables everywhere and hardly anyone aside from the guards seemed sober. Cisco made good on his word and began to cause Trouble. "THINK YOU'RE SO TOUGH BECAUSE YOU'RE WITH SOLDIER?!" Jackie heard a man yell. The brawl was on. The Guards were trying to deal with Cisco and his really obnoxiously big sword giving Jackie and Angeles the perfect chance to do whatever they wanted. "Okay...lets split up and use Cisco's distraction to find the Scientist I suppose." Jackie jogged down one side of the building and began to follow through the corridors, checking each door. 'The scientist will most likely be in the dungeon of this evil castle.' She thought to herself. 'I think I just have to find the stairs down.' |

Angeles lifted up above the storm for a while, having mapped out the general direction they were going and following the same one. Kurone was there to keep her on track. When he suddenly dived to the ground she did as well, catching him in her hands and flipping to land on her feet beside Jackie. The two Soldiers were disrobing, as the castle they were in front of was giving off a lot of heat. Angeles looked at the castle and the raven surrounding as she drew her sword from her back and began putting materia into the handle. Cisco volunteered to be the distraction and waltzed into the castle, within moments the distraction took place and people were rushing to Cisco’s position. “He better not die,” Angeles growled to herself, putting her sword back in its place, “I kind of like him, he’s an ass though,” Angeles looked over at Jackie and followed the Soldier into the castle. She winced slightly and stared wide eyed at the pictures at the walls and sneered slightly, “Yasha would not like this place at all,” Kurone floated past her and past Jackie and began to sniff the air, “he’s trying to find the scientist, Angeles clarified, walking up next to Jackie, “but bet he can’t discern anything in this place,” it was taking all of Angeles’ will not to retch on the floor. The scent was horrible and it was making her eyes water. Jackie then said to split up and began running in a certain direction. Angeles watched her for a moment and then began to walk in the opposite direction muttering, “after this is done I’m burning this place down, they can blame it on my ‘insanity’ later,” Angeles took Kurone and set him on her shoulder. She tried to think logically about the situation, but in a place where logic was put on the backburner it was difficult to do. The bare instincts of mankind ruled here; lust being the most prevalent apparently. It was only a matter of time before someone said something stupid. “Hey there,” came a voice and Angeles stopped, her hands balling into fists. She turned so that she could look behind her at a scruffy man holding a beer bottle. He was sweating all over, and one word came to mind: pig. “I’m not sure if you’re a pretty lady or a pretty boy, but I really don’t care. I’m hot something fierce, care to help me cool off?” Angeles sneered and her pupils slitted for a moment. She fished her phone out of her pocket and dialed Jackie’s number, holding it to her ear, “Jackie,” she said when the Soldier picked up, “now I’m a little shaky on the rules of this mission, I haven’t been on one in a while you see… so are we allowed to kill whomever we want?” |

This place was much like the bordello Jackie had grown up in...It was slightly sad, but Jackie was desensitized to these kind of things. Even so, Jackie was no longer a whore, she was a SOLDIER. The woman opened up a door. Blinked. Closed the door. '...Wow...' She shook her head and continued down her section of the building. There was a loud thump and some cheering. Jackie looked backwards down the hall she had come from and hoped sincerely that Cisco was alright. Dorado didn't have a good reputation of..well...for surviving. 'Ugh...why am i feeling so ill?' Jackie shook the nausea from her head. She had to keep going at least until they found the scientist. She found that she was sweating heavily even though she didn't actually feel that hot. "What the hell...did I catch a fever or something?" Jackie took a deep breath and began to use the wall to support herself as she dragged herself across the hallways looking for the set of stairs that she imagined would lead to the dungeon. Was the Dungeon really where the scientist was being held? Jackie stopped, she rested with her head against the wall for a minute before deciding that her determination to complete the mission was greater than the ills that had begun to befall her. She gritted her teeth and stood straight up. She pursed her lips together and pressed forward when suddenly he phone began to ring. The obnoxious ringing filled her ears until she reached down into her pocket and pulled out the phone and pressed the talk button. "Hello?"She sent her greeting into her phone. "Jackie." It was the voice of Angeles. “now I’m a little shaky on the rules of this mission, I haven’t been on one in a while you see… so are we allowed to kill whomever we want?” Jackie furrowed her eyebrows and thought for a moment. A long moment. It was really hard for her to think about this for some reason... It made her frustrated. "What? What kind of question is that?" She asked, 'Gah...what am I saying?' Jackie took a deep breath and pressed her forehead into the palm of her hand. "Okay...okay...okay...just hold on." She thought hard, staring at the wall like this was the obstacle placed in her mind preventing her from bringing up a valid answer. "Umm...kill people on missions...okay..." Suddenly something snapped as if the mental barrier preventing Jackie's answer gave way. "We have authority to take any necessary actions to rescue the scientist." Jackie blurted quite suddenly. "Was that all you needed?" Jackie questioned into the phone. The woman continued her pace, waiting for the answer to her own question. 'I didn't step into any traps...I am definitely not drunk... I haven't even met anybody, how could I be poisoned?' Jackie wondered to herself. 'I think...Yeah...I'm just sick. Why the hell am I sick? I was wearing clothing that kept me warm even in that blizzard, I hardly felt a scrap of cold.' Jackie held the phone to her chest and so she could take a deep breath, before putting the phone to her ear again. "Okay...well...I think that since this is a castle...there are probably two places that the scientist could have been taken." Jackie began to explain. "I believe that she may either be in the dungeon, or perhaps where ever Erik Ravenstower is. Since He is the one who captured her." Jackie peeked down a four way split in the hallway she was walking down. She shifted her head from the left to the right as she searched for...well...just for something. 'Dang it...Where could they have put her? Where is the dungeon? Where is Erik Ravenstower..?' |

Angeles listened to Jackie and her brow furrowed as she listened to the Soldier and got a sense that something was wrong. The pig in front of her rubbed his nose on his arm but stopped when Angeles’ hand shot up holding up her index finger. Finally Jackie answered her question and asked of there was anything else Angeles needed. The answer was a gunshot and Angeles holstered the gun as the body of the man hit the ground. “No Jackie that was all I needed,” she said and turned around to continue down the way she had been heading. Jackie was speaking again, saying that the scientist was either in a dungeon or with the namesake of the castle. Angeles nodded and hummed to say she understood the information given. “Alright so figure it out, got it,” Angeles looked up at where she was and her pupils slitted as she focused and tried to see if she could sense where the person she was looking for. But to no avail. Angeles sighed and tapped Kurone on the head and he changed his form slightly then plopped onto the ground beside her in the shape of a Doberman. He sniffed the air then began to sniff the ground and Angeles followed him. It was only a matter of time before someone came running at her screaming. “Hey you! You’re not allowed to be in here!” Angeles watched him approach then she grabbed his arm and sidestepped him, turning her body to be behind him and twisted his arm behind his back. She stopped as her eyes widened and her right eye twitched for a moment before she took a step back and pulled out her gun, shooting the man in the back of the head. “Jackie,” she said into the phone, “you were right, she’s with Erik, we better hurry, she’s in bad shape,” Angeles’ pace quickened as she went through the hallways. She knew exactly who she was looking for, somehow seeing everything she needed to know through the man, as well as some other things he had done in his lifetime, the reason she had shot him. She could not explain, nor did she question how and what she had seen, only understood that the situation was more dire than she had first thought. |

She jumped. The gun shot through the other side of the phone cleared her senses. Jackie shook off all the nausea that had been encompassing her just a moment before. 'Ugh...What was all that?' She asked herself, not at all concerned about Angeles's decision to fire at someone. 'All that Nausea...where did it come from and why was it so intense?' Jackie frowned to herself as she thought the matter over. Jackie looked through the hallways more clearly now. The SOLDIER lifted her rifle up with one hand while holding her cell to her ear still. She started to press forward down this way and that searching the rooms as she passed. Not that Jackie wanted to see what was on the inside of most of the rooms. "Nothing on this end really..." That was truth too. A room full of high people was exactly appealing to Jackie's senses at the moment. She listened hard for any sign of Cisco back near the entrance, but didn't hear anything. It was probably because she was too far away at this point. She really hoped that Cisco was alright. She was tired of going home alone. Once again, Dorado Group didn't have the most...well...they didn't have a very good record of survival. Jackie scoped a couple of more rooms before deciding to make a move towards Angeles. She found the stair case to the dungeons that she had been looking for and slowly started to descend down there. This is about when Jackie heard through the phone Angeles mentioning somehow that the woman was with Erik Ravenstower. "What? How did you find out?" Jackie asked climbing back up the stairs, she looked down either path before her and decided to take the one that lead her towards the wing where Angeles was. "What's your position? I'm making my way to about where you are." Jackie told Angeles through the phone. 'This is about the most I've ever used my phone.' Jackie thought to herself. 'Kind of sad, but most of the time, my conversations are short and concise.' The woman took a turn down a hallway and knocked a fellow against a wall with the butt of her rifle. "Outta the way." She yelled at the man. 'Did Angeles find them already?' "Do you know where Erik Ravenstower is?" She asked over the phone. "Are you close to him right now?" 'Why would Erik abuse the Scientist the way he is? She is a valuable asset. Shinra would bend over for a Scientist. Not so much for a valuable SOLDIER. If a SOLDIER ever got caught they might as well consider themselves dead.' Jackie lifted her gun quickly as something beastly popped out in front of her. It was Cisco. "Jackie!" He shouted. "Look out!" He told her, grabbing her shoulder and starting to lead her back the way she had come. Jackie looked over her shoulder and noted the guards chasing after them. "Angeles, I just ran into Cisco. I don't think Ravenstower is over here, but I'll try and see if we can't rendevouz with you." Jackie said into the phone before lowering it from her ear and used the top of her forearm to steady her rifle. She pulled the trigger and unleashed a bahamut V.2 into the crowd. 'Mooks can't deal with the power of my rifle. Especially not when I'm firing this kind of firepower into them. It helps that it spreads in a cone.' "Okay, Listen up Cisco, I think Angeles figured out where the scientist is, we need to meet up with her if at all possible." The man nodded to the SOLDIER. "Roger that Jackie. Which way do we go?" Jackie pointed down the hall where Cisco had come from. "Back there?" Jackie shrugged, "Know any faster way?" Cisco shook his head. "Away we go then!" They charged down the hall. “No I haven’t found them I,” she wasn’t exactly sure what she had done but then shook her head and explained in a way that made sense, “interrogated one of the men. He says that they arrived here with the scientist who was then taken by Erik, said that she looked pretty beat up as if she had struggled. I don’t know this Erik guy but I have a bad feeling about what is going on.” Angeles stopped walking when Jackie told her that she was going to find her. Angeles looked around at her surroundings and tried to find identifying markers of where she was. She could sense both of the Soldiers moving, but did not say anything about it being easier for Angeles to find them. She trusted Jackie, but Cisco was another story entirely. She did not know what he was capable of, and what he would do to gain favor. Angeles groaned and gave up trying to figure out where she was. She also looked around for other people, understanding that by touching someone she could see their memories. If she came into contact with the right person, she could probably find out where the scientist and Erik were. With a thought Angeles lifted her gun and began firing into the ceiling, counting ten seconds between every bullet. This would one, give away her position to Jackie and Cisco, and two, attract anyone else to her position as well. Luck was on her side, several men came running towards her screaming and she lowered her gun to take care of them. Humans seemed to be easily taken care of now, only encountering one that could defeat her, though she wondered if Zander could be considered human anymore. After the people were on the ground she grabbed their arms and saw their memories, only getting valuable information from one. Watching as he accompanied Erik and the scientist up a tower and standing in front of the door for a while before switching with someone else. She lifted her gun and fired off the last of her rounds, hoping to lead Jackie towards her where she could share what she had learned. |

"I'll cover our butts." Cisco told Jackie, he followed behind her as she slipped her cell phone away so she could appropriately carry her rifle. Jackie might have had some Mako induction but she was by no means the strongest member of SOLDIER. It was difficult for her to carry her gun one handed as it was. This was a pretty heavy Rifle. Jackie looked over her shoulder and noted that Cisco simply slung his weapon over his back so that the massive weapon created a wall between them and their pursuers fire. "Well so much for my distraction." Cisco complained as bullets began to ricochet off of his gigantic weapon. Jackie placed a bullet into her mouth as she charged down the hallway, she slide to a stop and Cisco ran into her knocking her over. "Whoa! What's wrong Jackie?!" He asked, standing up, he immediately turned to face the attackers. He held his blade in front of him to take the fire before running up and cleaving the entire hallway in half. "This is why I'm not suited for these special operations so much." He reminded Jackie. She smiled at her partner as she stood up. He was definitely strong on terms of pure strength. Skill was still something he was working on, but that was something everyone was always working on. "Stairs." Jackie told him pointing up the hallway he just collapsed. "Here, hold your sword out like a bridge so I can run up." She told him. He nodded and took a knee, carefully leveling his sword with the second floor. Jackie stepped onto Cisco's shoulders before running up all the way to the second floor like she had planned. She checked the area around and gave Cisco a thumbs up. "Thanks Cisco!" He gave her one back, "Good luck Jackie!" Jackie pulled out her cellphone again and redialed Angeles. "Okay Angeles...I'm on the second floor now." Jackie looked around, truthfully it was much of the same. "Cisco was so kind as to custom make a set of Stairs for me." Jackie began to dash through the hallways again. She looked down the left and right before speeding down to her right. This place really bothered her in that there was hardly anywhere to hide. If you wanted to get anywhere you had to stand out in the open where anyone could shoot at you. She began to kick in the doors as she went, checking the insides. One of the doors she kicked open was filled with guards. "Crap." Jackie cursed as she once again began to run. She tried to take cover down another hallway but skidded to a halt when she saw that there were even more guards over here. 'I don't have enough bullets to deal with all of these guys.' she thought to herself. "Well, at this point Angeles." Jackie said through the phone while machine gun fire filled up the background, "I'm not sure have the slightest clue where I am, or how to find you." Jackie took cover within a nearby room and noted that there was laundry chute. She climbed in and slid down into a pile of...well lingerie...? Jackie stood up with a thong on her head, and with disgust pulled it off and dropped it onto the pile. 'eww...' She thought. The SOLDIER went towards the only door to the room and opened it, and saw Angeles. She hung up her phone. "Well Never Mind. It looks like I found you." Jackie told her as she ran along side her. "Okay so what's new?" |

Angeles looked over at Jackie as she randomly came out of a room. She looked past the Soldier and saw that there was no door on the other side of the room, so had to wonder how Jackie had come out of it. Then she noted the laundry chute and dropped the thought process. She directed her attention back to Jackie and said, “I figured out where they are,” she said turning and going back down the hallway, “would you believe the highest room in the tallest tower?” as Angeles spoke a whole bunch of guards piled in on both sides and Angeles had barely enough time to wrap her wing around herself and Jackie. “Making friends are you Soldier?” she asked, wincing slightly as bullets penetrated into her wing. Then suddenly one of the bullets ricocheted off as Angeles charged her thunder materia into the feathers. Then the feathers stood on end and shot out like porcupine quills, cutting down and electrocuting everyone in the vicinity. When Angeles uncurled their wing the hallway was covered in blood and bodies were strewn everywhere. “This way Jackie,” she said and made her way down the hallway. Kurone ran alongside Jackie’s side before jumping up and curling into himself and turning into a very small creature, resembling a baby wyvern. It creeled and flapped its membranous wings catching up to Angeles and clasping onto her hair. Angeles navigated her way through the hallways using the guard’s memories and finally came to a spiraling staircase. Angeles paused to look up the stairs as far as she could before looking at Jackie. “It’s too narrow for me to use my sword,” she said, “and I’m out of bullets, it’s best if you go ahead. There are a few guards spread out along the stairway, two guarding the door, be ready.” |

"Does...that hurt?" Jackie asked. The awed SOLDIER had never been encompassed by a sephiroth clone's wing before. She imagined that it did hurt since it was connected to the other woman's body, but it also wasn't...'wasn't what? Jackie asked herself, 'Real? It looks pretty real to me.' This was one ability Jackie would never have. She didn't exactly feel jealous to have an odd thing sticking out of her back, lord knows that she already had two sticking out of her chest, and Angeles didn't exactly have those. The SOLDIER gazed at the way the guards had been taken out with Angeles's quills. She wasn't quite sure what to say since she hadn't exactly seen something like this. She was pulled out of her daze when Angeles began to lead the way. "Roger." Jackie told the Ex-TURK. She followed the silver haired woman through the corridors and towards a spiral stair case. The SOLDIER almost had to skid to a stop since she had been distracted. She was watching Kurone curiously as it had flown by her side and then started clinging to Angeles's hair. Jackie wasn't sure what she would do with a creature like that, if she had one that is. 'Angeles acts like its cute for a little bit but then it gets annoying if you hang out with it for long periods of times. But she must like it, otherwise why keep it around?' "Right I understand." Jackie responded to Angeles. The Sephiroth clone, despite all of her abilities probably would have trouble with such a space, but Jackie on the other hand... well needless to say it didn't take too much skill to shoot a person in front of you. The SOLDIER approached the stairs first, passing Angeles. Jackie was determined to show the calm and skill that SOLDIER brought her. She fearlessly ascended the steps, though cautiously. Her rifle raised carefully, ready to meet any oncoming guards with a bullet. It was her luck that she didn't meet anybody coming down the stairs, but when she emerged on the upper floor there were plenty of guards that had intended to use them. Jackie smacked a guard with the back of her gun before raising her rifle to her eye and pulling the trigger. A flash of light accompanied the the smell of burnt gun powder as a spiraling bullet emerged from the barrel of her rifle and bit into the enemies before her. The man she had hit with the gun began to recover and was about to make his next attack while Jackie was reloading. The SOLDIER casually swept his feet from out of him. She placed a new bullet into the chamber of her rifle while simultaneously pressing her knees against the guards arms so she was now sitting upon his chest. The SOLDIER lifted her gun was more and fired another Bahamut V.2. The Bahamut's breath flared and bit into the flesh of all that stood within the hallway. The cone of death that fired from the nozzel of her gun was more than enough for the mooks that had been sent to deal with them. Not to mention Jackie's skill with her gun was probably beyond that of anyone in SOLDIER. Considering that everyone in SOLDIER loved to compensate with big Swords, Jackie felt like it was an empty compliment. "Hello." She told the man, whose chest she was sitting on. She reached backwards to his belt and pulled some bullets from small lips across the side. "What kind of bullets did you need? These guys only have 10 Milimeters." Jackie told Angeles. The SOLDIER placed a gun to this man's head as she slowly stood upon his arms. The woman placed a standard bullet into her rifle before pulling out a small knife that she had in her boot. She slit his throat. She didn't look twice at the man's face. She didn't care who he had been, or where he had come from. To Jackie he was just an enemy... 'Sometimes I forget that if I don't want to hurt myself I just have to stop caring. The sooner I learn this lesson the sooner.' Jackie wiped the blade clean on the dead man's shirt before tucking it back into her boot. "Which way now?" She questioned Angeles. |

Angeles followed Jackie up the stairs and stayed back as Jackie killed everyone on the floor they came upon. When Jackie asked her what kind of bullets she needed Angeles slipped her gun from her belt and pulled back the action and slid the clip out to look inside it, “I’m not quite sure,” she said honestly, “Turks are required to carry a handgun at all times. Whether they know how to use one or not is another matter. I was one of the ones that didn’t really know much about mine.” Angeles slid the clip back in and bent down to check the size of the bullet. She compared the numbers to the gun, “the numbers on my shells say .45. This one says .10. That’s too small I think,” Angeles stood up and slipped the gun back in its holster before turning to Jackie who had killed the man, “I’ll be alright, if anything I can shoot more feathers at people. This way,” Angeles walked across the room to another staircase and stepped aside to let Jackie on ahead. It was the same sort of scenario as the last staircase, although Angeles’ sword was strong and sharp enough to cut through stone like warm butter, she did not feel like bringing the entire castle down in order to save one employee of the science department. As Angeles followed she stopped suddenly and looked at the ground. Why was she helping Shinra recover one of its employees? Why was she following a Soldier around who could very well turn around and plug a bullet in her head, “Jackie,” she said looking up at the Soldier. She didn’t quite no what to say so hesitated, “Shinra… isn’t pleased with my existence. I’ve done things they find unfavorable. You’re well on your way to becoming first class I can tell. Soon, you might be coming to hunt me,” Angeles looked at her friend and her eyes were glowing slightly with mako. |

“.45? I should have guessed as much for a hand gun.” Jackie nodded to Angeles, expressing her gun knowledge. Truthfully Jackie knew about various guns, but mostly she was only an expert in her SWORD, or rather her rifle. The SOLDIER looked over at Angeles, “You don’t run out of feathers I imagine. Well when I heard this mission I honestly thought the TURKS should have taken care of it or something. I always felt SOLDIER was more for military operations.” Jackie looked over the way Angeles had begun to lead, “This way huh?” Jackie with military precision approached the steps before her. She aimed her rifle up the steps and cautiously began to walk upwards. Listening to the words of the angel coming from behind her. ’I’ve come so far…I’ve become a warrior, but I’ve never really decided where my heart is have I? I’m between duty and honor…they rule my life, and I’ve never been free… I also wonder though…who would I be if I didn’t have those two things? Would I be just another thug? I don’t know who I would be without Shinra. Definitely not Jackie…’ Jackie sighed, “I thought that you said that if Shinra wanted you bad enough…” The dots seemed to connect for Jackie. ’My duty to Shinra…my Honor for Angeles. Abandoning either means I’d be losing a part of myself.’ “You must know that would be a hard decision for me, I also wouldn’t accept someone else going after you.” Jackie pulled up her shirt enough to show her the scar across her chest. “What can I do? They gave me a heart.” Jackie let her shirt fall back down. “I’ve never been one for power. I’m not interested in power or fame. I…I don’t know what I want.” Jackie answered to Angeles. “I know that ultimately, this decision…is going to destroy me.” Jackie reached the top of the steps. Her heart felt…hard. That’s how it had to be for Jackie…every time something like this happened she just hardened her heart. ’Its going to break someday. I imagine Angeles must doubt me. If Shinra told me to go after her does she think I would? I did kill my own father because they told me to. That is reason enough isn’t it?’ Jackie looked at the ground. ’Who’s side am I really on?’ She questioned herself. “Besides…I bet I’d be more useful on the inside.” Jackie tried to smile and give a wink to Angeles. “Jackie,” said Angeles leaning to the side slightly, “I hate winter, I hate ice, I hate snow, I hate the cold, I basically hate this part of the Planet. The only reason I’m here is…,” Angeles paused and sighed, “I tried to kill Soldier second-class Aleczander Rockport,” Angeles left out the details, letting Jackie think what she wanted about their fight, “I lost that fight by a large margin, but I realized making a direct assault against Shinra may have put the headstone on my own grave. If they wanted me badly enough the would find me yes,” Angeles paused and took a step back down the stairs, “but I had lied, I disabled the tracking device in my PHS the moment I crossed the Icicle border.” Angles shifted uneasily, “Jackie, you’re my friend and I trust you, but we are on opposite sides in the beginning of a war. One day we will face each other on opposite sides of the battlefield,” Angeles switched her step and took a step back up the stairs, “when that day comes we’ll decide if we’re going to kill each other or not, for now let’s finish your mission and get Shinra their scientist back.” Angeles smiled at Jackie, regretting even bringing up the subject, “there will be two men guarding the door at the end of this staircase. The room beyond that door is where Erik is with the scientist.” |

Thoughts in Chaos
|
"A lot of people kill Shinra employees." Jackie simply replied to Angeles. 'She attacked one of my comrades...but she too is one of my allies isn't she?' Jackie sighed and looked to the ground. "I think I've already made my decision though." The woman pulled out her cell phone and hit the quick dial. "Cisco? Where are you?" The voice on the otherside told her, "First floor still, where are you?" Jackie shook her head, "Third Floor now. We're about where the scientist is I think so you should get up here and give us some back up." She heard Cisco swing his sword through the other side of the phone. "Roger that, I'll be there in five." She hung up and slipped her phone away. The SOLDIER checked her gun once more to make sure that there was very little chance of misfiring. After she was satisfied she headed up this staircase as well. She was a SOLDIER. Trained to kill the enemies of Shinra. The Perfect SOLDIER, the one called Sephiroth, he betrayed SOLDIER. All of the First class SOLDIERs betrayed SOLDIER. Angeal, Genesis, Sepiroth, Zack Fair. Every First class SOLDIER she had ever heard of had betrayed Shinra in some way. Is there a reason? Is the top really that bad? There must have been a reason why all of the other SOLDIERs did what they had done... Jackie reached the top of the stair case and fired two shots. She took a deep breath and said to Angeles, "I think I'm pregnant." The truth of the matter was that Jackie didn't remember how she got pregnant, and this is what truly scared her. "I'm scared for this child." She told Angeles. "If I do give birth... I think it will be the first time a SOLDIER has given birth." Jackie recalled all of the file reports about the dastardly experiments that Shinra had performed in the past. "I think I'll quit SOLDIER and just go back to my home town...Costa Del Sol. I could go into hiding with you, but unlike you I'm limited to the ground, I don't have a wings or a vehicle, and it'll get harder and harder to move around the farther I go into this pregnancy. I think maybe I'll leave Shinra after I tell the man I think is the father." Jackie wasn't sure how she knew, but she did have this feeling that told her that a certain SOLDIER was the father of this child. 'Why is a portion of my memories blank?' Jackie walked towards the door that Angeles had mentioned, she kicked one of the bodies out of the way. 'I have always had no choice but to be strong.' She thought to herself as she waited for Angeles. |
