Angeles stopped dead in her tracks and almost chocked when she heard what Jackie had to say next. Angeles had killed monsters, mutilated people, had seen the work of Professor Hojo first hand, and nothing could have been more shocking than the news that Jackie was probably expecting. The two gunshots Jackie fired off brought Angeles back to reality and something warm filled her chest. Her eyes furrowed and she jumped up, kicking off the wall and spinning in the air so that she landed in front of Jackie, facing the Soldier. “This is something you should have told me at the start,” she said in a serious tone of voice. She closed her eyes lightly and breathed her next words, “children are the embodiments of hope for the future,” she opened her eyes again and looked at Jackie straight in her eyes, “I will do everything in my power to protect that hope.” Angeles said nothing more and turned around to the door. Her eyes began to glow as she reached up and grabbed the hilt of her sword and then kicked the door in. Her sharp eyes took in the scene quickly as she drew her blade to block rapid gunfire; the scientist was tied to a chair and gagged, looking thoroughly helpless, the man named Erik was lounging on his couch as two men standing on either side of the couch had pulled up their guns and were the ones shooting at her. A simple thunder spell took one of the men out and a downward slash of her sword with a darkness spell took out the other. In a haze of darkness she teleported to where Erik was and pulled the gun he had snatched up out of his hand and pointed it at his head. He looked at her with a calm exterior but she could see fear in his eyes. “Jackie,” Angeles said calmly, “get the scientist.” |

Thoughts in Chaos

"Well...I haven't been sure, but my monthly was supposed to be yesterday so there can't be any denying it now can there?" Jackie pressed her lips together and looked down at the floor. "The future..." Jackie listened to the words of Angeles before lifted her head and looking into her eyes. "What am I supposed to do Angeles? What should I do? I've never had a baby before, and I'm a SOLDIER...I'm just...Its just so confusing." She told Angeles. The SOLDIER got a grip on herself and wrapped her fingers around her rifle tightly. Jackie was fully prepared to bust in with Angeles, but within a split Second the woman had proved why she had been a member of the turks. Jackie had been prepared to fire if she had needed to, but seeing as how Angeles had the situation covered, she decided to keep an eye on the hallway instead until Angeles called her in. "Right." Jackie responded to Angeles. The SOLDIER moved in quickly and whipped out her boot knife. She ran it down the back of the chair, slicing the scientist's bonds. Following this, the SOLDIER lifted the woman onto her feet and began to lead her out into the hallway. Jackie pulled the gag out of the woman's mouth and finished by slicing the rope covering her hands as well. "SOLDIER?" The woman coughed. Jackie nodded simply and nodded her head towards the staircase. Cisco climbed up the stairs, Jackie made a little sign for him to turn around. "Right..." He responded to Jackie. Jackie looked backwards to see if she could still see Angeles in the room. "Whats the fastest way out of here do you think Cisco?" The man shrugged, "I'd suggest my way, but I don't know if anybody would really like that." The scientist looked back and forth between the SOLDIERs. "What's his way?" She questioned. Cisco smiled and lifted his gigantic blade from his back and smiled to her as he let it extend fully. "THIS!" He yelled smashing the blade through the floor. "First floor anyone?" Jackie nodded to Cisco and grabbed the Scientist and hopped down to the first floor. "We left our packs near the entrance, so we'll have something warm for you to wear. Shinra is scheduled to meet us via helicopter once this storm settles down." Jackie led the woman quickly out the front doors, noting that Cisco had in fact done a wonderful job of...well taking care of the guards like he had said he was going to. Jackie looked down at the gear on the ground and helped the scientist get ready to head out into the blizzard. "Cisco...you go on ahead..." She told the man. "Why? Whats wrong?" Jackie gave him a look, "I need to speak to Angeles, I'll catch up in a little bit." |

Angeles saw Jackie enter and take care of freeing the scientist from her bonds. She saw all this through her peripheral vision, as she kept her main focus on the man in front of her. She didn’t move from the spot, allowing the two Soldiers to take the scientist and disappear with an excited yell and the sound of crashing. The silence that followed after soon became deathly. Angeles’ sharp eyes watched a bead of sweat roll down from Erik’s brow. However, he kept a smile on his lips. To the untrained eye it would appear as a confident smile, to Angeles it appeared nervous. Erik reclined slightly, putting his arm over the back of the couch and he opened his mouth to say something but Angeles then pulled the trigger. She didn’t hesitate afterwards and dropped his gun in his lap as blood poured from the chunk of head that was now missing and she casually walked out of the room. She walked until she came to the hole that had been made presumably by Cisco and stepped to it and dropped down it with her ands still in her pockets as easily as riding an elevator. One of the green materia in the handle of her sword began to glow and she sent a ball of fire up the hole to catch the ceiling on fire as she casually began making her way towards the entrance. There she found Jackie without Cisco or the scientist and she stopped and looked at the woman. Waiting for whatever it was the Soldier had to say. |

"Angeles I..." Jackie realized that even though she wanted to ask the other woman for her help and question her about what she should do, she couldn't. "I..." Jackie sighed, "Nevermind. Just be safe I suppose." She told the other woman before turning to follow after Cisco. 'This is a really difficult choice for me to make. I don't know what I should do...Should I really leave Shinra? I know I told her that I was going to run away but...Its not that easy for someone like me. Especially not since I'm going to be carrying a child within my womb.' Jackie pressed her lips together before throwing her scarf over her face and pressing into the storm. "I hope I see you again soon Angeles." 'And hopefully not as enemies.' Jackie added mentally. 'Though...even if we do end up as enemies, I don't think I would ever fight you.' [exit] |

The woman began to speak, but ended up saying nothing and walking away. Angeles watched her go. She was in Soldier after all, there really wasn’t much Angeles could do to stop her without some dire consequences. So Angeles watched Jackie fade into the ceaseless blizzard and eventually vanish from sight. As she felt heat on her back signifying that the fire she had started had begun to spread she blinked her cold green eyes and turned around. With little effort she shut the doors to the castle, just as some frantic humans had come to escape. With a simple gravity spell the doors were forever shut and the screaming of the humans could be clearly heard. She turned her back on them and also began walking into the blizzard. Once she could no long sense the two Soldiers she spread her wing and took off above the storm. She was tired of the cold and wet condition of the northern continent she was going back home for a while. She figured things with Shinra had cooled off enough in the time she was gone.
